I have some saddening news to share.
It seems that the Lightron, Silver’s iconic car that he drove in Team Sonic Racing is no more. Replaced with an inferior car for the new game.


While this new car may have its fans… it is no Lightron. Hopefully SEGA will hear the cries of true Lightron fans around the world and bring it back.
A moment of silence for what we have lost.

Sonic Lore: Silver's Connections


Patterns associated with Silver appear in ancient technology in several games. In Sonic Generations, Sky Sanctuary has stone pillars with lines resembling those on Silver's cuffs, and at the start of the stage, there is a circle and line design on the floor resembling those on Silver's gloves. There are also glowing cyan circles resembling PK marks indoors. -Sonic Wiki

In Sonic Frontiers, the Ancients' technology often glows cyan as well. The sphere used in M-080 has marks resembling those on the Lightron. Some devices even seem to use a version of psychokinesis in order to be interacted with. Lightray likes to bring Orion his favorite snacks from time to time. Surely he's only being a good friend and there is nothing more to it.
Orion liked to think that among the residents of New Genesis, Lightray was the one person he could truly, honestly, call his friend.
Sure, as of late he went along with the other residents of Supertown well enough, and would even call some of his fellow warrior cadets at the academy ‘friends’ on occasion. But with Lightray it was different. They had met as children, shortly after Orion had come to live among the New Genesians — if one could call being thrown through a boom tube that. Lightray, ever glowing with the vivacity of youth and a spirit untainted by hardship, had not passed judgment on him, or his place of origin. And thus as time passed, they had grown closer. Among the games of childhood and the shifting sands of adolescence, Lightray had opened his heart to him and Orion, in turn, had come to trust him enough to dare show him his true face, a sight he had ever allowed only few to gaze upon.
