Honestly, the birthday reveal wasn't as bad as the absolute madness that was everyone trying to "decipher" the Sinner ID cards in 2023. I had someone send me an image of all the "information" people had "learned" about Heathcliff from the old ID cards, and it actually made me so upset. Nearly had a meltdown at work, which sounds stupid, but it was really just ... why do people only care about this redacted information and not him as a character. Besides, I don't want info the fandom "gleaned" from things, I want official confirmation.
So, even if the birthdays were a bit immersion breaking (which was my only real problem--it's very hard for me to believe Limbus Company managed to find 11 people who all had birthdays that conveniently match the numbers assigned to them in both month and day), they will never be as ridiculous as that was.
#like ... I don't need to know Heathcliff's age‚ date of birth‚ height‚ weight‚ and previous job experience to love him#none of that is that important to me#and if it is revealed at any point‚ I want it done through an official channel--not random fans#anyway ... I'm okay with Heathcliff's birthday‚ now--I just feel a lot better with the headcanon that he picked it out himself#which is based on the source novel--nobody knew when he was born‚ beyond an alleged year#^ my copy of Wuthering Heights has a whole family tree and I refer to it all the time#I do think part of it is me having a hard time adapting to big changes ... I didn't have a birthday headcanon for Heathcliff--#--beyond thinking it'd be fun if it was the original publication date of Wuthering Heights (I applied this logic to all the Sinners‚ btw--#--since I thought their birthdays matching the dates their novels were initially published would be cute)--#--but the way all the dates were just 1/1‚ 2/2‚ 3/3‚ etc.‚ made it a lot harder to accept#like I said in my main post: it broke my immersion#Over the (Project) Moon 🌙#scattered pages
