Tokyo Miracle: the (new) introduction post!

This is a new introduction post for Tokyo Miracle with a bunch of info and links! It came to my attention the last one was very outdated so here's a new one! Below you can find links + more info!

Tokyo Miracle is a Tokyo Mew Mew fan series spinoff/next gen story! It uses elements from the original manga, anime series (both the older one and tmm new) the video game, and la mode!

It follows Ichigo and Masaya's daughter, Mira, as she navigates being a mew mew and tries to save the world with the help of her friends. At first, Mira Aoyama is a completely ordinary 15 year old girl- and she hates it. Her mother was the incredible Mew Ichigo, and she's yearning to live up to her legacy and become a magical girl too. When an alien named Persimmon crash lands at Cafe Mew Mew and tells of a coming invasion, she might just get her wish: at a price, of course.

After the alien's planet was ravaged by bug-like monsters, Queen, the current leader of the original aliens, sets her sights on Earth for her people. She proclaims they will take it within the year.

It's up to Mira, a magical girl otaku with a limited amount of transformations, Persimmon, an alien who's terrible at using her powers, and Aqua, an untested, possibly buggy first-edition robotic mew mew to save the world from Queen.

On the other side, we have Cara, a human working with Queen. Her goals are a mystery, along with Sapote, an alien who let Queen test on her and make her into a mew mew, too.

Mira also has to deal with a strange girl appearing in her dreams, offering kind words, declaring her love, and promising her anything she wants. Surely there's a catch, right...?

Tokyo Miracle plays with concepts of family dynamics, coming-of-age, magical girl typical tropes, love and all of its forms, mysteries, sci-fi and adventure elements! It is a love letter to tmm as my longest running interest.

I'm not sure how comprehensible tokyo miracle is to those who haven't read/watched the original! I hope it is somewhat enjoyable, but I'd strongly recommenced checking out tokyo mew mew! (the original anime is free on youtube!)

I usually abbreviate Tokyo Miracle as tm2 (tokyo mew 2) on this blog. it's faster to type- and within the story, the project to make aqua was called project tm2!) Wanna learn more...?
