The Sky, the Land, the Sea, and the Cherry Tree
So this was just a weird plot bunny I've had involving Kingdom Hearts and Sakura Haruno. It probably won't go anywhere else from here, but if anyone wants to use the idea, they can. Just please give me credit.
Also, this was written on my phone late at night, and obviously, writers can't catch all their own mistakes.
Anyways, enjoy.
Kaguya felt the burning rage consumed her very being as these two boys, who where the recarnation of her sons seal her away. She wanted revenge.
Then she felt it.
The door had opened opened, just ever so slightly. She could feel the energy of the worlds seep out from behind it. The world's that were never ment to connect to this one.
She smiled wickedly. She had a the perfect thought that would make this team suffer.
Kaguya allowed her hair to extend and wrap around the the girl.  She had flung her through the opening and watched as door closed as she was sealed away. The screams of the girl's name leaving her teammates lips, brought Kaguya great comfort.
Sakura bearly had enough chakra to one last healing, but nothing more than that. She along with her teammate had let their guards down. Watching as Kaguya was sealed. She even saw Naruto fling black Zetsu to be sealed along with his mother. If only they had known what she would do.
The moment Sakura felt the hair wrap around her she tried to struggle. She even reached out for her sensei for help, but was only able to brush her fingertips against his. She heard him call out for her. Watched as her two other teammates, looked at her. Their eyes shocked with not just worry, but what seemed like helplessness.
"SAKURA," they shouted, together.
Oh, how she once dreamed of them calling her name. However unlike those dreams, it did not sound warm, or happy. It sounded like a plea for her life.
Despite moving at such a fast speed everything around me seemed like it was all in slow motivation. I watched as they grew smaller the further I got.
My eyes grew heavy, after feeling like I was flung threw an invisible force. The force had stretched before tearing. Then I saw the door.
'It closing,' my subconscious, told me as the world around was enveloped in darkness.
The last thing I could feel was my body being submerged into water.
Sora and Riku were at it again, and Kairi was waiting for them at the end point. Most days it was fun to watch, exciting even. Today, however, was different.
From where she stood, she caught a speck of pink from the corner of her eye. She began to walk toward it, and when she saw that it was a person she ran towards them.
Kneeling down toward the girl, she noted that she was breathing, but unconscious. the girl couldn't be any older than 12, yet it looks as if she had been through a lot.
The pink haired girl's clothes were worn, burned and missing it's right sleeve. Not to mention the minor bruises, and the hole that Kairi was sure if she flipped the girl over she'd find an identical one on the other side.
"Riku, can't you just hold back a little for once?"
"Now that wouldn't really do you any good. If you want to beat me then you just have to keep getting better."
Hearing her two boys' voices she called out to them for help.
It was Riku who picked her up, and it was Sora who suggested she stay over his place. His mother was the island's healer in an unofficial way, so yeah.
His mother didn't ask many questions, just hurriedly guided them to the extra room. Riku laid her down of the soft bed. They watched as Sora's mom cover the girl up with a white sheet. The woman even opened the window's blinds slightly to let some light in.
When Sora's mom left, it was quiet between them. They could only stare at the sleeping girl, as the ceiling fan provided a light hum in the background.
In a way it similar to how they first met Kairi.
A girl who they never seen before, washes up on the island. They have no idea where she could have come from. The only thing it brought to the islanders was that thought that there might be more beyond the island. Now the only thing with this girl is that she, unlike Kairi, may have some recollection of where she came from.
It took three days for the pink haired girl to wake up.
Sora was in the room just taking away, to keep her company, when she opened her eyes.
Of course he and his friends have been visiting. Not only were they curious of the girl, but they also didn't want her to feel lonely. They knew she didn't have anybody to make sure she was ok or visit, so they took it upon themselves.
Only they didn't expect how she would react when she woke up.
When I opened my eyes, I knew I was in unfamiliar territory with an unfamiliar person. I shot out of bed taking a defensive stance.
The boy before me was shocked by my sudden movements. I fact he had even fell out of his chair. I watched as he stood slowly, careful not to make sudden movements. His rose his hand, keeping his palms open, as to show he ment no harm.
"Hi. It's nice that tour awake now. My friends and I found you washed up on shore," he paused, before continuing, "We brought you to my home so my mom can look after you. She's pretty much the island's unofficial doctor. Speaking of which, I think I should tell her your awake. She probably has some questions for you to answer, and some move things to check. I'll call for her from here. She's downstairs, so she shouldn't have a problem hearing me. I can see you're a little on edge so I'll stay here so you can watch me. I promise i am not here to hurt you."
I watched as he called for his mother. I even channeled chakra to my ears to listen for reinforcements just in case.  However, true to his word it was just his mother who entered.
Slightly letting my guard down I answered all medical related questions. I still had know idea if they were friend or foe, but I wasn't going to risk it.
When she and the boy left, I could hear the his excited chatter.
"I can't wait to tell Kairi and Riku she's awake. I'm sure they'll be so excited to meet her! In fact, I should go get them right now," he said, excitedly.
However, his mother stopped him in his tracks when she spoke, "Sora, perhaps you should hold off. She just woke up, and based on her physical conditions; she must have been through a lot. Give her time."
"Ok mom."
I listened to their steps as they walked away. Once they where far enough, I checked over myself, with my chakra. I noted the bruises, and the slight scaring but nothing too serious to waste my chakra on.
With a sigh, I removed the white sheet. Bringing my legs over the beds ledge, however I could quite touch the floor. They just hung there. In fact my feet haven't hung like this since I was in the academy. Panic was staring to bubble within me.
Hurriedly, I made my way to the connected bathroom. What I saw in the mirror, cause me to almost loose my cool.
There before me stood, a girl who I have long out grown. She stared back at me with wide emerald eyes, and tousled pink hair. The baby fat still being out grown, and the purple diamond faded but still there.
My hand reached out and presses against the cool glass.
This couldn't be happening. After the fight, I knew something must have happened. Especially after being flung, but for my body to regress back into my twelve year old state seemed unlikely. Yet, my reflection proves otherwise.
Backing away, my back was pressed against the wall. I felt like I couldn't breathe, my heart rate accelerated. I even saw my hands tremble as I brought them up to run through my hair.
I was having panic attack.
I slid down to the floor, the wall being my only real support to stay somewhat upright.
"I need to calm myself," I said, to myself.
I looked around the bath room and tried to find something to refocus on. There was nothing that caught my attention. Next best thing to do is to take deep breaths and count.
Breath in.
'One.'
Exhale.
Breath in.
'Two'
Exhale.
Breath in.
'Three.'
Exhale.
On and on that cycle went, until I could finally feel in control.
How long I sat on the bathroom floor for, I don't know. All I knew is I was twelve again, on an unknown island, I just had a panic attack, and I was so fucking hungry.
Seeking out wasn't an issue, but being hungry can be slightly distracting. Which would explains why the brunette boy, startled me as I raided his fridge.
Rude, I know, but cut me some slack. I fought a war, got stabbed, saved countless of lives, pumped my best friends hear manulally, punch a goddess, got transported to who knows where, and was age reduced to be a preteen. I think food being the only thing on my right now is considerably reasonable.
"You know, if you were hungry, you could've just told us," he said, with a teasing grin.
For a moment, I saw Naruto instead of him.
Looking down, I mumbled, "I didn't want to be a bother."
"You'll never be a bother here. How about we get you some warm food, and talk a bit. You know, get to know eachother."
Perhaps it was the fact that I was hungry, that he had a familiar aura, or that I didn't want to be alone; either way I took him up on his offer.
It would be from this moment on that the strings of fate would intertwine Sakura to not just Sora's soul but to his friends as well. This is where her true journey begins.

WHAT IF?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Some things are inevitable. Some things change. This is what happens when fate takes a different turn.”
Tumblr media
WHAT IF? (Naruto went mute/lost his voice)
Naruto was loud. That was one of the first things you had ever noticed about him. Louder than a crowded marketplace, louder than your own thoughts sometimes. He was laughter ringing through the battlefield, the shouts carrying across the village like he owned the place, and the endless words spilling from him like they’d never run out.
And now? Silence.
It didn’t happen instantly. At first, he thought it was just a sore throat, something that would pass. Then it got worse. His voice cracked and broke, then disappeared altogether. No more shouting about ramen, no more rants about being Hokage, no more warm greetings every time he saw you.
It was unsettling.
You weren’t used to this version of him. The one who gestured wildly with his hands instead of arguing, who pouted instead of whining, who smiled instead of teasing. And most of all, you weren’t used to how much you missed his voice.
“Oh, Naruto
” you murmured one day, reaching out to brush your fingers against his cheek.
His blue eyes met yours, bright and a little sad. He grinned, but it wasn’t the same. It never was without his voice.
You sighed. “You can’t talk, but you can listen. So listen to me, okay? I miss your voice. And I don’t care if you’re loud or annoying or you wake me up at stupid hours of the night. I just want you back.”
He stared at you for a long moment, his eyes softening. Without a word, he stepped closer, his hand gently cupping the back of your head, pulling you towards him. His forehead touched yours, a silent connection, grounding the both of you in that simple, intimate moment.
And yeah, maybe words weren’t necessary. Because as long as he was still Naruto. Still grinning, still fighting, still him, he didn’t need a voice to make you love him.
Tumblr media
WHAT IF? (Sasuke lost his memory)
You knew Sasuke wasn’t the sentimental type. He wasn’t the kind of person to whisper sweet nothings, to hold onto old memories like treasures. But it was different when the memories were gone.
One moment, he had been there, sharp and brooding and annoyingly smug. The next, he had woken up with empty eyes and a blank expression, looking at you like you were just another stranger.
You weren’t going to lie. It hurt.
You weren’t sure what was worse. The way he didn’t remember you, or the way he didn’t seem to care that he didn’t remember you.
“Who are you?” he had asked the first time he saw you.
And you had smiled, even though your chest ached. “Someone who annoys you on a daily basis.”
He didn’t laugh. He just stared at you like he was trying to solve a puzzle. “I don’t remember.”
“That’s okay,” you had lied. “I’ll remember for the both of us.”
But days passed. Then weeks. And the worst part was watching him be fine. Watching him exist without all the things that made him him, without the past, without the pain, without you.
But then, one night, as you sat beside him in silence, he spoke.
“You feel familiar.”
You turned to him, your breath catching. “I do?”
He nodded, staring at you like he was trying to pull something out of the empty space in his mind. “Yeah. And
 I think I trust you.”
It wasn’t much. But it was a start. And maybe, just maybe, it meant that even without memories Sasuke would always find his way back to you.
Tumblr media
WHAT IF? (Kakashi got blinded)
Kakashi had spent most of his life watching. Watching over his team, watching the world fall apart, watching people he cared about disappear like they were never there to begin with.
And then, one day he couldn’t watch anymore.
It was a mission gone wrong. A flash of something too bright, too fast. And suddenly, Kakashi Hatake, ‘The Copy Ninja’, ‘The Man Who Sees Everything’ was blind.
He tried to act like it didn’t bother him. Because he was Kakashi, and Kakashi didn’t break. But you saw through it. You saw the way his hands hesitated over objects, the way he stood still for too long, as if waiting for the world to adjust around him.
And you hated it.
Not because he was blind. But because he wouldn’t let you help.
“Kakashi, let me—”
“I’m fine.” His voice was cool, detached.
You grabbed his hand anyway. “You don’t have to be fine with me.”
He didn’t respond. He just let you guide him, his grip tightening in yours for just a second.
It wasn’t much. But it was enough.
Because even if he couldn’t see anymore, you would always make sure he never felt lost.
Tumblr media
WHAT IF? (Neji fell in love before his arranged marriage)
Neji was always the type to accept things as they were. Duty. Honor. The Hyuga name. He never fought against it, never questioned it
 until you.
Falling for you wasn’t part of the plan. It wasn’t supposed to happen.
But it did.
And now, with his marriage arranged and his future already decided, he had to make a choice.
“Neji,” you whispered, your voice shaking. “Don’t do this.”
He looked at you, his expression unreadable. “I don’t have a choice.”
“Yes, you do!” Your hands clenched into fists. “You always do!”
But that was the problem. Neji had never believed in choices.
So why, why, when he looked at you, did he suddenly want to?
“Say the word,” he murmured, stepping closer, voice low. “Say the word, and I’ll walk away from all of it.”
You stared at him, wide-eyed. “Neji
”
His fingers ghosted over your wrist, barely touching. “Say it.”
And for the first time in his life, Neji wanted to be selfish.
Tumblr media
FINAL THOUGHTS:
‱ Naruto’s voice wasn’t what made him him, but damn, did you miss it.
‱ Sasuke didn’t remember you, but his heart did.
‱ Kakashi may have lost his sight, but he never lost you.
‱ Neji was supposed to follow his duty, but in you, he found the courage to break free.

Naruto boys calling you ma’am ──☆*:ăƒ»ïŸŸ
!Slightly suggestive!
Characters: Naruto🩊,sasukeđŸ—Ąïž,ItachiđŸ„€, kakashi🍃, kibađŸș, shikamaruđŸ€„ïž,shinođŸȘČ,neji🎋,LeeđŸ„‹,chojiđŸ„,gaara⏳,kankurođŸȘ†
Tumblr media
Naruto🩊-*
He’s sassy so ofc he’s gunna piss you off by calling you “ma’am” making you feel old. Normally when you scold him over stupid things he refers to you as that-
“Did you think about how dangerous that is?!” “No ma’am!ïżœïżœ “use your little head before doing something dumb!” “Yes ma’am!” “ok stop with the ma’am I feel like a teacher scolding a bad student” “what you gunna smack me with a ruler?” Rolls eyes “I will if you don’t keep quiet!” “Whatever you say! Ma’am~” “I’ll be back with the ruler.” “WHAT?!”
SasukeđŸ—Ąïž-*
He uses it nonchalantly or when he’s being goofy. Like everytime he leaves home you always say “be safe baby” and he always responds with “yes ma’am.” In a serious tone. He knows you worry that one day he may not come back so he must reassure you!
“Be safe Sasuke. I expect you home by 10!” “Yes ma’am, i will I promise. I must go now! I’ll see you at dinner darling” you whisper “it’s cute when you call me that” right before he closes the door (he heard it anyways)
ItachiđŸ„€-*
He is such a good boyfriend honestly. He’s the kind of guy to do little tasks for you when you ask. So normally when your to lazy all you gotta do is ask him to do it instead!
“Tachi, can you please get me some more water?” “Yes ma’am!!!” Very rare times you ask him to do something without him responding with a “yes ma’am~”
Kakashi🍃-*
His mouth gets himself in trouble, sometimes he says things that could be viewedïżŒïżŒïżŒ a different way without realizing it. For example he once said you remind him of a frog. I don’t know how it’s a compliment but he meant it as one
which obviously you didn’t know
“ARE YOU CALLING ME AN UGLY FROG KASHI?!” “N-no ma’am! That’s not what I mea-” “NO I KNOW WHAT YOU MEANNNN! YOU THINK IM SLIMEY TOAD” you start smiling once you realize how silly this really is “no I swear I meant it in a nice way!!!” “WELL-
did you call me ma’am?” “Uhm
depends do you not like it” you chuckle “no I don’t mind, it’s cute.” He lets out a sigh of relief “well I guess I’ll call you that more often?~”
KibađŸș-*
Like kakashi his mouth gets him in trouble, exept Kiba does it on purpose to try and get a rise out of you he likes it when your rough ofc that means he just teases as much as possible, but then he tries acting all innocent
He’s on his knees directly infront of your legs waiting for you to look at him “I know what your doing Kiba. It’s not gunna work” he flashes the puppy eyes “well I’m not doing anything y/nđŸ„ș” “so your serious not trying to get a rise out of me?” “Noooo ma’am” you grab his face with your hand rather aggressively“is this want you want puppy?” A very quiet “Yes” could be heard from him
ShikamaruđŸ€„ïž-*
He only calls you ma’am when you nag him about doing chores or helping you cook, he knows he can’t say no but “maam” is his only way of back talk
“Hey Shika be a dear and take out the trash” “ahhh yes anything for you ma’am.” He responded in the most sarcastic voice he could make “watch that tone babe!” “Yeah yeah whatever, such a pain” “I’ll show you pain.” A water bottle was soon thrown directly at his head LOL
ShinođŸȘČ-*
Call me weird but I feel like if he was going to call you something like that he would call you mistress instead but that’s for another time! When he does call you ma’am it’s mostly because he admires your leadership. You guys would be testing battle strategy and when you command him into a certain position you could here his cheerful “yes ma’am” while he runs into position
Neji🎋-*
He only uses it to get out of trouble actually. When he does something he isn’t supposed to he tries lying abt what he did
“Neji. Were you in my drawers?” “What!!! No ma’am that is absurd I would never dig through your shirt drawer!” You look at him with a blank stare “I never said it was my shirt drawer. Time to fess up pretty.” He sighs loudly. “Fine yes. But only because I missed your scent!!!” “Awwwww
kinda creepy but cute!!”
LeeđŸ„‹-*
Your like his own personal Inspirator. You give him pep talk like every single day and being the energy ball he is he is so hyped to hear about it
“Are you gunna train hard today?” “Yes ma’am!” “And you going to be proud of yourself no matter what?!” “Yes ma’am!!!!!” “Are you not gunna over work yourself for me?” “YES MA’AM!!!!”
ChojiđŸ„-*
Again he takes your authority very seriously! So ma’am is fitting when your taking charge of every day things. Even if your not trying to be all serious he will always respect your power but he also looks to you for guidance
“Hey handsome you said you needed me?” “Yes y/n-chan. I figured you could help me with this?” You sigh “the only way I’ll be of help is if you do what I tell you too, can you
do that?” “Yes ma’am! I’m a very good listener!” You giggle “cute now let’s get started”
Gaara⏳-*
He has mommy issues and your strong and independent ofc he’s gunna call you names like that and ask for you to take care of him?! You love babying him anyways but it’s always so cute when he’s had a rough day mentally wise and the first thing he does is go to you
“Y/n, may we please have some alone time
” he asked shyly “of course rose, bad mental day?” You open your arms to him “yes ma’am. It was hard today.” He comments before hopping in your arms waiting for you to make everything better
KankurođŸȘ†-*
He calls you ma’am when your all mad at him for being bratty “but I was just checking out your new pants!” “You expect me to believe that you were just looking at my pants and not my ass?” “Yes ma’am” kinda like Kiba he wants you to be rough with him ok. He’s just trying to tease so you do something about it which you don’t because your strong, and it’s funner to just calling him a brat and watching him squirm at the insults

I’m supposed to be studying parasites right now, but I made the mistake of listening to some music during my break. Heather by Conan Gray started playing, and I ended up imagining how it would feel for Sakura to notice Sasuke falling in love with you—back when you were all just genin.
She was always observant when it came to him. She’d had the biggest crush on Sasuke since she was a little girl, so of course, she was the first one to notice the changes in his behavior toward you.
It started so subtly that she almost convinced herself it was nothing.
A shared glance. A brush of fingers when you passed him a scroll. The way his eyes lingered just a moment longer on you than they ever did on her.
Sakura had always known Sasuke. Or so she thought. Quiet, distant, brilliant—she memorized his habits the way others memorized jutsu. The way he stirred his tea. The way he said her name—always flat, always indifferent.
And yet.
Now he was different. Not louder. Not warmer. But something had shifted. Something small.
She saw it first during training. Kakashi had asked the two of you to spar and analyze the openings in each other's strategies. You were always a little too fierce, too fast to speak your mind when you thought Sasuke was being an asshole—especially toward Naruto.
Sasuke, who usually rolled his eyes at everything, was watching you. Not like an opponent. Like you were something he didn’t understand and wanted to.
When you pinned him—just for a second—and flashed that wild, triumphant smile, praising your victory, he smirked. And Sakura felt her chest tighten.
But that’s normal, right? Maybe he just respects your fighting.
That’s what she told herself.
After that, weeks passed. Missions came and went. She told herself she imagined it. Actually, she was imagining everything.
It was annoying, and honestly, she wanted to hate you. But how could she?
You laughing. Him listening.
You teased him—and for once, he teased back.
He was quick to offer you his water after training.
He checked you for wounds after missions—before even checking his own.
She thought of the way she used to draw hearts in her notebooks. How she used to watch him during class, imagining what it’d be like to break through his walls. She believed that if she always stayed loyal, always ready to accept him, he’d eventually turn around and look at her the same way she looked at him.
The night she couldn't deny it anymore, you were all at Ichiraku—after many, many requests from Naruto. The air was warm, rich with the scent of broth, miso, and soy. Ichiraku glowed in its usual golden hue, paper lanterns swaying gently in the summer breeze.
Naruto was stuffing his face, singing the praises of pork slices like they were sacred offerings. You sat beside Sasuke, barely speaking, but it didn’t feel like silence. Not with the way your thighs brushed beneath the bench. Not with how your shoulder leaned into his—just slightly—when you laughed at something Naruto said. There was a ghost of a smile playing on your lips, glowing with something unsaid.
Across the table, Sakura watched you.
She didn’t understand it at first—that smile. It was so soft, almost shy, like it wasn’t meant to be seen. And maybe that was why it caught her off guard. It wasn’t your usual grin, but it didn’t matter.
“I’ll be right back,” she said, rising to go to the bathroom.
On her way back, Sakura paused just before returning.
There was a narrow angle where she could see the bench from the side, the wooden counter slicing the view like a stage curtain slightly ajar.
Not a casual brush. Not an accident. He was holding it deliberately. Your fingers were laced together—still and quiet—like they’d done it a hundred times before.
And there it was.
Sasuke’s hand, resting beneath the table, curled tightly around yours.
Sakura felt her stomach drop. Her mouth went dry. Her breath caught in her throat—not because she was surprised, but because suddenly... everything made sense.
The way you’d been acting lately. The smiles. The small glances. The softness in Sasuke’s tone when he said your name. The way you always lingered just a little longer than the rest.
That smile you wore a few minutes ago—it was his. Given to you.
Sakura didn’t walk back immediately. She stepped out of sight, heart pounding in her ears. She didn’t even know what she felt exactly.
It wasn’t rage.
It wasn’t betrayal.
It wasn’t even jealousy—not really.
When she finally returned, she sat down, pretending nothing had happened, stirring her ramen quietly.
You didn’t notice. Neither did he.
Your fingers were already parted.
The secret was tucked back into silence.
She felt her heart ache because she loved him with her whole heart.
But unlike her, you had actually gotten close. Close enough that he let his mask slip.

Sasuke’s devotion
...as demonstrated in the first arc of the Boruto manga. Where we get intriguing insight into Sasuke & Naruto's dynamic as adults, and further reinforcement of some of the seeds Kishimoto planted in Gaiden.
I’m not exactly addressing the full scope of their bond here. The central theme of this post is Sasuke’s side of things and an exploration of his acts of love. But naturally, Naruto’s reciprocation factors into it and is addressed accordingly.
Although I intended to recount the events of this arc in chronological order, strictly sticking to that was messing with the general flow of things. So I jump back and forth between chapters a bit, especially towards the end so pls bare with me lol. But ultimately I don't think the order matters too much and where it does, I point it out.
Final note - I really like the movie, but it's been a while since I watched, so I didn't reference it much here.
He feels Naruto's pain, as his own
When Sasuke first meets Boruto, the interaction is swift. He only offers a matter-of-fact acknowledgement of Boruto's status as Naruto's son, responds to Hinata's greeting with a question about her husband, followed by an immediate exit to instead greet the sole reason he's even there at all.
Tumblr media
It's not long before Naruto can't help but spill his innermost concerns about Boruto's future and that of shinobis as a whole. Sasuke immediately takes this to heart and appears sombre as he listens intently. He knows Naruto's heart and with that comes an intimate understanding of his woes, as if they were his own. It's evident in how he appears increasingly agitated in the next panel as he refuses to entertain Naruto's disillusioned train of thought.
He doubles down with a simple, but definitive statement - “the true nature of a ninja never changes, no matter how the tides may shift”.  Simultaneously, we get an intentional flash of the headband that Sasuke lovingly always carries with him and has been doing so for years.
Tumblr media
The statement itself goes beyond a simple iteration of his shinobi philosophy. It's being directly linked to a precious momento of their love and devotion to each other. Making it known that this belief Sasuke holds is actually rooted in and inspired by his love for Naruto. It's also a matter of the future that Naruto is referencing, is one they envisioned and decided to cultivate together -- their joint legacy. So he's naturally protective of it.
Every time he invokes this statement throughout this arc, it's a fond expression of exactly these two things: his devotion to Naruto and commitment to honouring his -- and by extension their - shinobi legacy.
Sasuke draws from his own source of faith (his boundless love) to counter and comfort Naruto's dwindling hope. Knowing this is something that will resonate deeply, and serve to renew his hope and in turn, soothe his worries.
It works perfectly, as Naruto is immediately on the same wavelength and echoes the words Sasuke left unspoken. Although not entirely convinced, he appears far more relaxed. If the person he trusts the most in the world still has faith, he's willing to listen.
The meeting is brief, yet in the span of a few minutes, Sasuke managed to leave Naruto more at ease than he found him. But he's not quite done yet.
A new mission
Sasuke leaves the Hokage's office with a very important personal mission: make the love of his life feel better.
Naruto's primary concern was a question of his son's shinobi spirit and the resultant gap in shared values is a major source of strain in their relationship. So Sasuke makes it his goal to train Boruto into a shinobi Naruto would be proud of. And in turn, tenderly nurture the spirit of Naruto he so vividly sees in him -- the source of his unwavering faith in the true nature of shinobis persisting no matter the day and age.
Tumblr media
His first step being to task Boruto with learning the rasengan is extremely intentional, and very sweet. Since this is a jutsu very dear to Naruto; created by his father and passed down by his teacher. Also (not sure if Sasuke knows this, but we definitely do) something he learned solely to protect his most precious person -- Sasuke.
So he knows how happy Naruto would be to see his son inherit it. Judging by the way Naruto cannot stop grinning ear-to-ear after finally witnessing it -- he was absolutely right.
Tumblr media
Naruto's happiness >>> planet-endangering threat
The minute he learned that something was bothering Naruto, all other priorities became secondary. Including a planet-endangering threat, apparently. We discover that Sasuke did, in fact, get severely sidetracked during their earlier meeting.
It's hilarious that he's casually divulging the most crucial information gathered from his latest mission, like it’s an afterthought. Even Naruto is baffled as he sinks down in his chair, trying to process the looming disaster that's potentially about to strike this planet.
We've seen it play out time and time again (even heard him outright admit it) but this is another reminder that for Sasuke, Naruto’s wellbeing takes precedence over literally everything else, including the rest of the world -- Naruto is his world.
Tumblr media
To be loved, is to be known
We continue to explore the depths of Sasuke's reverence, when we see how disturbed he is by Boruto’s suspicious progress with his ninjutsu training. The immediate side-by-side with Naruto as a child and the way he recoils (squinting, frowning, brows intensely furrowed, turning his entire body away) at the difference in their respective spirits lol
Tumblr media
Naruto is the ultimate standard for him so of course it stings when someone who resembles him so closely, fails to live up to it. Bringing it back to Sasuke's philosophy in chapter 1 -- rather than a faith in shinobis as a collective, it's more so that as long as Naruto's spirit persists in shinobis, Sasuke will continue to believe. This underpins why Sasuke regards being 'just like Naruto' as the best compliment he could give to Boruto when he does eventually become a 'true ninja'.
The subsequent scene set after their first training session, is of Sasuke so fondly and earnestly recounting Naruto’s story. It's not a surface-level recollection, instead full of feeling and intimate familiarity. He starts right off the bat with calling Naruto a 'noisy idiot' and 'half-wit' LMAO. The whole thing is a demonstration of how this reverence and adoration can be traced back decades -- yet still persists as passionately as ever, if not more.
This conversation also fleshes out a key difference between them -- who actually knows Naruto. Or rather, who Naruto has allowed to know him.
This motif first appears in the events leading up to Sasuke catching a punch Boruto meant to throw at his father.
Tumblr media
In his outburst to Hinata moments prior, Boruto highlights the core of the problem. He essentially has no idea who Naruto is past the role of Hokage; knows nothing at all of the history preceding it. Naruto hasn’t disclosed these parts of himself to his son, leading to this massive disconnect that’s been allowed to fester and evolve into bitterness.
Hinata attempts and spectacularly fails to remedy this (since she also doesn’t know him, just fawns over the idea of him and even more so that Naruto’s never given her access either) -- only for Sasuke to appear as a beacon of hope for the boy soon after.
The issue is further reinforced as Boruto enters his dad's office, seeking out that knowledge. As he holds Naruto’s childhood jacket, he's made tangibly aware of the dirt, wear and tear that hold stories he’s never had access to. Core parts of his dad that he simply doesn’t recognise -- and it frustrates him all over again, as he throws it out onto the street.
In the charged silence immediately after, the doorbell rings and it’s Sasuke. This arrival completely changes the course of Naruto and Boruto’s fractured relationship -- epitomised in Sasuke picking up that very jacket later, as if picking up the pieces.
It all leads to this moment by the firepit. Boruto takes the opportunity to enquire about Naruto, and the picture Sasuke paints is so different from his own perception. It's so profound and the intimacy shared between Sasuke and Naruto is so loud and apparent, that it's difficult for Boruto to even comprehend. Since the difference between their experience of the real Naruto is vast.
Picking up the pieces
We get a glimpse into how fractured things are in the sequence of events before Naruto sends a congratulatory message to his son for passing the first stage of the chunin exam.
It’s intriguing that upon hearing the news, Naruto opts to hide his real feelings from Shikamaru. He actively rejects Shikamaru's attempt at getting him to open up about his family troubles, irritatedly shutting down his bid for connection. Yet in the first chapter, we witnessed how Naruto so readily share said troubles with Sasuke.
Tumblr media
Naruto pretends to be unaffected by the news, but Shikamaru’s watchful eye catches on and urges him to convey his real feelings to Boruto. Shikamaru didn't account for the actual extent of Naruto's emotional disconnect though, so his advice is enacted in a rather awkward way, via email.
Boruto’s reaction to it is very sad, too. The way he’s torn between being genuinely happy to receive his dad's acknowledgement, but he can't stifle the disappointment at how distant the attempt was.
But we're privy to the fact that this was a huge undertaking on Naruto's end. It's astonishing how big a feat a simple online expression of feelings was to him. To the extent that he's profusely sweating and collapsing in his chair from the tension release after it's done.
Tumblr media
Even when Shikmaru first makes the suggestion, Naruto looks so miserable -- the bags around his eyes are suddenly terribly prominent. He's exhausted at the mere thought of conveying his feelings, and Shikamaru's mildly exasperated but knowing expression points to this being the norm. This dysfunctional relationship with his son has been persisting for a long time.
These two evidently have a lot of work to do in untangling the years of distance, and resultant mutual emotional disconnect which, on Boruto's end, cultivated resentment.
Boruto’s progress is a major factor in healing this -- every point of progress acts as an opportunity for father and son to reconnect, and they get closer to reconciliation. The primary orchestrator of this is Sasuke, who's essentially pulling the strings to bridge that gap by training and guiding Boruto to align with the shinobi values Naruto holds so dear. Carefully nurturing that point of connection between them.
This link is also established in the text as the panel immediately after a display of their strained relationship (Naruto heaving a sigh of relief after sending a simple email), is a cut to Sasuke training Boruto and facilitating that instrumental development.
Naruto's only exception
Let's further explore the peek we got into how Naruto keeps everyone at an arm's length in his life now -- it's very telling of his emotional state in adulthood. He has become someone who finds emotional exchanges to be an excruciating process.
We see a repeat of Naruto feigning indifference when he's obviously antsy about if Boruto passed the second stage of the chunin exam. Immediately upon Shikamaru's arrival with said news, he pretends to be working.
The same Shikamaru he knows can see right through it all -- but still, he remains absolutely committed to this poor act of nonchalance. He even waits until the guy's out of earshot before allowing himself to be happy.
Tumblr media
It made me wonder why he's trying so hard to not be perceived. We know Naruto is someone who has a lot of feelings, all the time. That's who he is and always has been. However in adulthood, we're consistently shown that he is so adamant about witholding access to himself. Whereas in his younger years, he wanted so desperately to be seen, heard and thereby accepted.
The answer lies in the various roles he now plays and embodies -- he is the Hokage. A war hero that saved the planet. The strongest shinobi to ever exist. A married man with kids. He's been perceived to hell and back at this point; romantically, platonically, parentally, and authoritatively, etc. Experienced every type of bond there is.
He's constantly under surveillance from his peers, colleagues, the villagers, the shinobi world, his stalker-turned-wife, and his kids that look up to him. He must even feel watched by his own parents and teacher, whose legacies he dedicated his entire adult life to honouring. While not all ill-intentioned or undeserved, the sheer scale of it and the expectations he's subject to must be exhausting.
On top of -- rather, because of -- that he's closeted. Perpetually suffering the unrelenting consequences of repressing his sexuality and being pressured into a one-sided marriage. Forced to endure this lifelong facade. All done in his ultimate pursuit of acceptance (read more about Naruto's repression in this post here).
All he ever wanted growing up were bonds -- as an adult, he's being crushed under their weight. Rendering him a jaded, detached figure that won't allow the tiniest glimpse past his strict defenses and carefully maintained mask of Hokage.
Sasuke is the only exception; the love of his life has absolute, free reign past these barriers.
Tumblr media
Where his face goes blank from his confusion at Shikamaru initiating a 'trivial'* exchange, he'll happily indulge Sasuke discussing an equally 'trivial' matter of merely meeting Naruto's son. Not even reporting a necessarily meaningful exchange, either. Just recalling how he bore a strong resemblance to him.
Which Naruto has no issue indulging to the fullest extent, even voluntarily steering the conversation in a deeper, more vulnerable direction. We've seen him pointedly reject someone like Shikamaru's similar attempts, yet a few chapters prior, he spills his guts to Sasuke before he even has to ask.
For once in his adult life, in Sasuke's presence, we're shown Naruto completely and intentionally unguarded.
*I'm using quotations marks because these are not trivial exchanges, but this is the standard that Naruto sets up and fails to follow when it comes to Sasuke lmao
To love, is to endure
Okay this part is gonna be a bit of a journey so pls bear with me. This deciphering room conversation has always intrigued me. Comparing it to some previous exchanges they've shared, allows us to explore the implications of what transpired here.
It reveals the existence of a line between them, shaped by years of repression and restraint and the product of their circumstances. One that Sasuke occassionally draws.
Tumblr media
At the heels of Naruto’s explosive joy, this scene brings with it a stark shift in tone. Their arrangement is the first clue to the underlying unease -- they're positioned a few steps apart, perfectly capable of having this conversation face-to-face, yet actively choosing to have their backs to each other. Notably, they don’t make eye contact once.
After discussing business, Sasuke immediately excuses himself, but is stopped by Naruto calling his name. The corresponding expression is strangely tense, almost anticipatory. He doesn’t even respond, instead lets Naruto do the talking, while maintaining the same look.
It even continues after Naruto reveals that he’s aware that Sasuke has been training Boruto. The tension echoes in Sasuke’s subsequent responses being rather drawn-out, punctuated with several pauses.
While Naruto is the opposite, and evidently walked in here with a clear purpose -- to confront Sasuke. Why? He loves to bask in the fact that Sasuke loves him, and will jump at opportunities for affirmation.
We've established how every step Sasuke has taken so far in this arc has been motivated by love. Which drives him to stick around in a town he seldom visits, to execute his master plan of easing Naruto’s troubles -- his commitment to restoring his beloved's faltering hope. Naruto came here to openly recognise this.
Tumblr media
The sequence of this deciphering room interaction mirrors a dialogue during the fourth shinobi world war (ch 680). Naruto confronts Sasuke regarding the real reason behind him so single-mindedly protecting Naruto. Declaring he now understands how it was possible for Sasuke's body to 'move on its own' to save someone precious to him (this entire scene is broken down nicely here).
His playfully smug grin is a testament to him absolutely reveling in the knowledge that Sasuke has been acting out of love. If you compare Naruto's expression here with the one in the Boruto panel, they're very similar -- so the intentions behind them can be reasonably equated. Sasuke's answer in this case is also extremely charged silence, functioning as confirmation for Naruto.
Naruto also knows that Sasuke deliberately concealed training Boruto from him, so by choosing to bring it up anyway, he’s looking for a reaction -- another confirmation.
Tumblr media
We've seen how even when Sasuke’s glaring daggers into him, Naruto is busy blushing under his intense gaze instead. He enjoys being the object of Sasuke’s undivided attention (and affection). Everytime he recalls Sasuke considering him a worthy opponent, he’s overtaken by uncontainable excitement (this post dives into this further).
One of the major ways their love manifests is in their mutual respect and appreciation of each other’s strengths. For Naruto especially, this is embodied in moments of acknowledgement -- hence why he was so lovestruck at Sasuke’s “I want to fight you
” It’s the best outlet they’ve found to express and enact their love given the circumstances and heteronormative, homophobic society under which their bond formed.
That's also why Naruto is so sincere in upholding the integrity of their fights; only deeming it a worthy match if they’re fighting on equal terms. So on the hospital rooftop, he insists that Sasuke put his headband on, so they can spar as equals. Then in the first Valley of the End fight, moments after Sasuke unlocks his third tomoe due to the sheer gravity of his love for Naruto -- in another act of love, he complies with Naruto’s desires for an honest fight by putting on that very headband.
Contrasting all this with the discussion earlier about Naruto’s growing and deeply held distaste for being perceived by others while here he is (and always has been), going out of his way to seek out Sasuke’s lmao.
So, we can say that in the deciphering room scene, Naruto is essentially initiating a moment of intimacy and awaiting reciprocation. Yet, all Sasuke can offer is a loaded pause. Eventually when he does respond, it's a matter-of-fact reiteration that puts an end to the conversation altogether. Still an affirmation, but a rather (and unusually) flat one.
It doesn't come to a soft, warm-hearted conclusion like their last exchange during chapter 1, but instead with both bearing rather rigid expressions. Naruto is left tight-lipped and dejected and Sasuke has no smile to offer this time. Viewing them side-by-side really amplifies the contrast in tone and outcome.
Tumblr media
Even Sasuke's engagement with the statement ("the essence of a ninja never changes" -- the significance of which I mentioned at the start) is off. He engages with it four times during this arc, yet his attitude this time is strikingly different from the other three.
Tumblr media
This establishes the existence of that line I mentioned at the beginning. One forged a long, long time ago -- stemming from their repressed feelings.
There’s allusions to this in Gaiden, too - specifically that ‘cooperation’ panel (an outline of implications of this scene can be found here and here). You can feel something simmering between them, courtesy of the little clues Kishimoto leaves through the construction of a strained atmosphere.
The uneasy undercurrent and its implications is something even Sakura picks up on, rendering her particularly distressed because it’s yet another reminder that her 'husband' has never, and will never belong to her lol. Them being in their own little world, a space she's never had access to, is something she's always been insecure about and deeply unsettled by.
The 'cooperation' and deciphering room dialogues also follow the same sequence:
Naruto initiates intimacy - admitting he’s ready to drop everything (the village, his kids, his wife) and essentially uproot his life to be with Sasuke.
Sasuke, woefully and reluctantly but fueled by pettiness, draws a hard line -- throwing Naruto's own words back at him.
Naruto is left dejected yet guilty-looking, since this outcome and the mutual misery underpinning it is a direct consequence of his own choices.
Tumblr media
Another similarity can be found in the scene where Sasuke was disappointed in Boruto’s artificially induced progress in his ninja training. Since this called into question whether he really did emobody Naruto's shinobi spirit. But Sasuke proceeded to withold his own unpleasant feelings about the matter, and engaged in Boruto’s pretense and allowed the kid to become his disciple.
And in the deciphering room, despite being bristled and slow to reciprocate, Sasuke entertains Naruto’s initiation of intimacy in a pointedly careful and controlled manner.
Tumblr media
Totally oblivious to Sasuke's suspicions, Boruto was excited since he focused primarily on the affirmative decision. Whereas Naruto knows him well enough to receive Sasuke's pettiness in full-force and, like in Gaiden, looks quite guilty over it.
In both cases, of course it's not ill-natured -- Sasuke is just unsettled. He wants Boruto to work hard and become a true shinobi by honest means, and he of course, absolutely loves indulging Naruto. It's precisely because he cares so much, that he acts this way.
Naruto and Sasuke's relationship is no stranger to mutual and silly acts of pettiness, but the pattern of Sasuke engaging in petty behaviour twice outside of regular bickering, is intriguing. To explore this, we have to consider the motivations behind petty behaviour, specifically in close interpersonal relationships.
This study points to the highly affective nature of pettiness. You’re not petty about things that don’t bother you. Things don’t bother you, unless you care. And in this case, Sasuke cares a lot. Hence why Naruto’s bold approaches, when contrasted with the harsh reality of his choices, leaves Sasuke quite bothered. It’s ultimately hurt derived from love (read this great post that explores the theme of conformity in Naruto's ending).
The same study also drew a negative correlation between petty behaviour and life satisfaction. Although Sasuke is genuinely happy to be by Naruto’s side in whatever capacity
of course he’d much rather do it married*. Living the life they deserved. Yet they find themselves here, as miserable adults miserably married to their respective stalkers. So yes, there is a lot to be dissatisfied (and therefore petty) about lol
*(I mean this more in a comparative sense to their current situation. Idk if marriage in the traditional/ceremonial sense, would necessarily be the route they'd take if they could have -- just being together romantically, whether married or as boyfriends, is more so what i'm referring to)
Combined, I believe all of this points to the existence of a tangible line that was established by the homophobic and heteronormative society they live in. That they begrudingly maintain as tired, repressed adults.
It's also something they're bound to by the duty they share as being the strongest shinobi to ever exist. This particular motif is reflected through their attire in the deciphering room scene, since it's first time we see them meeting with Naruto in his Hokage robe. Sasuke's own cloak is also tightly closed, when it’s otherwise deliberately shown open (or in the movie, completely shed) in Naruto's presence.
Tumblr media
It's like their robes function as another layer of separation, encasing them in the shells of their respective roles. Naruto as Hokage, the protector of the village, and Sasuke as Naruto's protective shadow. One role successively binds the other.
This boundary built on shared responsibility as the strongest shinobi. Something that they equally feel and are passionate about but it falls slightly more heavily on Naruto and the extra layer of expectations he's chronically bound to (as discussed earlier). But Sasuke is willing to follow him anywhere (very fitting of his role as a 'shadow'), even to such agonizing ends -- where Sasuke feels not only his own pain, but also intimately experiences Naruto’s pain as his own (vice versa).
Their shared repression manifests in these little moments, where they struggle against that line. Sometimes, they brush up against it, and when Naruto is the initiator -- unable to keep his desires from manifesting -- Sasuke is the one to bring them back to reality. The reality of Naruto’s choices. And the reality that Sasuke will stand beside him anyway. He loves him, so he will endure.
“But Sasuke accepted him nevertheless. His love for Naruto is like a rock steady faith, a prayer. No matter what happens, he can't and won't stop loving and caring for Naruto. He joined in Naruto's goal of uniting all shinobis, and he is accountable to Naruto.” - from this great post on the concept of Sasuke’s love for Naruto being like a prayer and op further discusses their bond in adulthood.
No words needed
Tumblr media
When Momoshiki attacks the stadium during the final stage of the chunin exam, Naruto decides to take on the enemy alone. He entrusts Sasuke with the safety of their children, then looks at him so tenderly. Almost like carefully asking for permission -- they always fight by each other's side, but this time, it'd be best if Naruto went alone. So it's also a look of reassurance.
Because look at Sasuke -- he's so stiff. He makes the promise, but not without hesitation and is so tight-lipped while doing so. Sasuke has always been one to struggle with Naruto entering dangerous situations, where Sasuke can't protect him like he desperately wants to (read more about it here). Naruto recognises this and softly soothes him, silently asking for his faith. They know and share the pain in each other's hearts, after all.
Through this look alone, it's apparent they're exchanging feelings only they know. Naruto is making a request only Sasuke can fulfill. That he only trusts Sasuke with. And Sasuke trusts him right back. So he makes the promise.
Tumblr media
Knowing each other's hearts has also meant that they've never needed words to understand what they do for each other's sakes. A way this is shown in this arc, is through the symbolism of Naruto's childhood jacket.
The jacket is present during key events -- a major one being when Sasuke first makes that declaration: “the true nature of a ninja never changes, no matter how the tides may shift.” After Boruto threw it out of the window, Sasuke rescues and returns it to Naruto, who was holding it when he first heard those words.
It is also an embodiment of Naruto’s legacy -- which Sasuke has been protecting and nurturing all this time -- and holds so much history in the wears and tears. And in that, it also becomes a marker of substantial progress between him and his son.
Naruto was quite bothered by how, compared to his own, Boruto's clothes were too clean. This small fact represents the difference in their lives growing up and thus their shared values, being too vast for them to truly understand each other.
Tumblr media
The scene outlined above occurs immediately after the deciphering room scene. The same Naruto that collapsed in his chair after sending a short email, makes sure to tangibly and meaningfully convey his congratulations and how proud he is of Boruto, face-to-face. To which Boruto is overjoyed to the point of tears. This is the most tender exchange we’ve seen between them, thus far.
And Naruto knows that it's all thanks to the love of his life that he was able to take this step. The jacket is functioning as a symbol of this very fact and the faith that Sasuke restored in him. That's why he's holding it so tenderly in the panels immediately after.
In chapter 1, he was squeezing it tightly between his hands, distorting the fabric -- looking downwards at it as he resigned himself to hopelessness. Now, he's cradling it so delicately and smiling up at the sky.
Tumblr media
They didn't have to exchange any words explicitly detailing Sasuke's contributions for him to receive the feelings embedded in them. To know that he is deeply cherished by his most precious person. And the manifestations of this person's love, heals his hopes for a brighter future.
He keeps his promise
Following the revelation of Boruto cheating both throughout and in the final stage of the chunin exam, the progress they made in repairing their relationship is momentarily but spectacularly shattered. This, too, is once again remedied by Sasuke. With earnest devotion, Sasuke honours Naruto's act of entrusting his child to him.
He finds Boruto and gently but firmly reprimands his dishonest actions, before guiding him in the right direction learn from his mistakes. He rebuilds Boruto’s drive and self-confidence by placing the utmost faith in him, and imparts Naruto’s feelings on his behalf. And then in an incredibly paternal gesture, he lends Boruto his most dearly cherished momento -- the headband. Essentially entrusting this child with inheriting his and Naruto's shared shinobi legacy. It's a testament to how much Sasuke’s grown to care for and believe in Boruto, and created such a meaningful bond.
I wonder if he sees himself in Boruto, since Sasuke was also a kid desperately chasing his father's acknowledgement. In which case, Boruto isn't only a mirror for Naruto, but also reflects parts of Sasuke.
Mentoring a child you see some reflections of your own childhood struggles in, and the act of guiding and supporting them through it can facilitate a person’s own healing.
Tumblr media
(Just to be clear -- I’m not making a total 1:1 comparison between Fugaku & Sasuke, and Naruto & Boruto’s relationships, or the respective characters themselves. The circumstances, nuances and severity of the two father-son relationships, are different. But I think we can reasonably draw similarities on the essence of a child seeking their parent’s acknowledgement in both scenarios.)
This theme of healing lasting hurt manifests in the conclusive chapters of this arc. It begins with Sasuke avoiding eye contact with Naruto, as he shly zooms through his explanation and immediately exits to allow them to have a moment. Naruto is initially speechless. Partly in total awe of the results of Sasuke's efforts, and partly because he's not sure how to approach this conversation with Boruto.
From Naruto’s perspective, the last note he left Boruto on was quite a bad one, perhaps the lowest they’ve ever been. Then here comes Sasuke, with Boruto in stride wearing his childhood jacket and the headband Naruto kept and treasured for years while awaiting his beloved's return. A head-to-toe embodiment of not only their love, but what it means to be a true ninja which is something he was convinced had had its time.
We know in crucial moments, when he’s emotionally overwhelemed, Naruto is no stranger to cracking a joke to momentarily ease the tension. So he does exactly that.
Tumblr media
They honestly share their true feelings, apologise and resolve the lingering bitterness that’s been hanging over them for years. Now, they can finally heal and move forward.
Sasuke fully succeeded in what he set out to do - making Naruto happy.
Tumblr media
Boruto asking Naruto to share his stories is a direct callback to the advice Sasuke gave him after their first training session -- where he suggested that Boruto shift his perspective and seek out what Naruto had to experience to get here today.
In this tender moment of reconcilliation, Boruto does just that in asking to learn more about who the real Naruto is. Not as the village's Hokage, but as Uzumaki Naruto.
Tumblr media
This all culminates beautifully in the final attack. Sasuke takes the lead and coordinates. While Naruto provides Boruto with the necessary encouragement to follow, both with words and in the form of lending the combined power of all the meaningful bonds in his life, to create that ultimate rasengan.
Boruto is moved to tears at the life his dad has lived. All the trials and tribulations he endured to get to this point -- an insight he’d always yearned for.
We get this massive panel of Naruto and Sasuke’s clash at the valley of the end. Among all of Naruto's history with the rasengan, only his father and Sasuke's contributions are individuated.
Rasengan is a jutsu Naruto learned to help Sasuke, so placing this panel in the conclusion of an arc where Sasuke does everything in his power to help Naruto, feels incredibly full circle.
Tumblr media
Full Circle
In the aftermath, Sasuke does what he loves best -- rushing to Naruto’s side and immediately starting with the teasing. His smile has finally returned, as he holds his hand out for Naruto to take.
Tumblr media
The cloak that was shown tightly closed moments prior, is now flowing freely. The earlier chapter shows his hair appearing flat and jagged -- weighed down. Next to his beloved, however, it's fluffy and swaying in the wind -- weightless.
Another point of intrigue is how Naruto stares at Sasuke’s extended hand, seeming momentarily shocked. Since, after all, Sasuke is the one enthusiastically initiating intimacy again, like we saw in chapter 1 and was so hesitant and pointedly strained in their interactions preceeding this moment.
Sasuke proceeds to turn things up a hundred notches by so smoothly invoking his pledge to forever stay by Naruto's side, while still holding his hand. To which, Naruto’s speechlessness coupled with the intensely flirty look they exchange really seals the deal on how purely romantic this exchange is.
It ends with Naruto once again repeating those words Sasuke said to him at the very beginning of this arc. This has him smiling before lightheartedly scoffing and affectionately calling Naruto a numb-skull. It's a clear demonstration of not only receiving his feelings, but wholeheartedly reciprocating.
It’s another full-circle moment from their first meeting in the Hokage’s office that ends in the same way. It also really echoes the feel of the cathartic conclusion in chapter 698 where Sasuke lovingly calls Naruto 'usuratonkachi' -- some things never change.

sasuke uchiha liked to be at the center of everything. which, by extension, typically meant you were at the center of everything as well.
you caught on quickly that sasuke would get irritated when you weren't at his constant beck-and-call. when he'd say something particularly witty, his gaze would always flicker back to yours with a flash of something akin to desperation, almost a yearning for approval.
when you turned away from him for the briefest of moments, sometimes for the simple pleasure of staring out the window at a bird perched on a branch, or a puffy cloud that rolled away with the wind. those moments were what really set him off.
"don't turn your back on me."
he only falters slightly when he sees the tears gathering in your eyes, grip only softening a little to smooth the tips of his fingers over your skin.
"it may be the last mistake you'll ever make."
you knew he'd never hurt you, not lethally. the closest he'd ever gone to murdering you was when he had you pressed face-down against some surface, inches deep inside of you and painfully restless. sasuke has always had a violent streak and combined with his obsession with you, his lust overrode what little inhibition he had. he'd gotten lost in the moment, one thing lead to another, and he had bitten into the carotid artery of your neck.
you nearly bled out, and sasuke didn't stop fucking you like a mutt in heat until he'd filled you at least twice. you still remember the blood smeared across his perfect cheekbone when you returned to consciousness, red dripping from his swollen lips, down his collarbones and chest. you still feel the shame you felt when you seized around him, even on the precipice of death.
he was good at that was well. he always managed to make you hate yourself by the end of the night, either from the mean and horrible things he'd say, or publicly humiliating you solely for the reason of satisfying his pleasure.
which was something he did often, evidently.
sasuke sat comfortably at the head of the long, black, marble table. the other seats seemed lackluster in comparison with his throne-like chair, cushion lined with crimson velvet and steel ridges. honestly, with the way others glanced at him with fearful looks, you certainly felt like you were sitting on the lap of a lord.
his legs were spread just wide enough that you fit perfectly between them, tucked away against his chest like his perfect accessory. with the rows of seats all filled with shinobi criminals, you couldn't help but feel all eyes were unintentionally on you.
the thought made you wince, tightening your grip on his shirt as you buried your expression against his collarbone. a familiar, stale whiff of remorse tickles your throat as you breathe him in, the smell of his cologne muddled with the palpable feeling of dark chakra, rolling off him in rolling waves.
sasuke eyes you idly, a barely noticeable smirk holding to the corners of his mouth as he watches you cling to him pathetically. pretty, little trembling hands clamoring to hold him closer. he waves a comforting hand down your spine, metallic rings contrasting against the natural warmth of his hands. it was a comforting inclination of his that you attempt to fall victim to, relaxing only slightly.
a low solitary utterance of your name grounds you, bringing your focus back to him. his dark hair practically begged to be tamed by the still of your hand. by the slow, hot drag of nails against his scalp. to kiss the mouth that almost swallowed your sobriquet for a second time, calling out to you again.
sasuke brushes his palm over the hardness in his pants like invitation before his greedy hands settle on your hips, grinding against your front, subtly gesturing you to come closer.
"sit properly. entertain this."
you knew what he was gesturing to, but in front of all these people? it was humiliating. you blink, lip quivering as your thighs move to rest on either side of his, your clothed cunt sitting just on top of his aching bulge. your cheek rests again on his shoulder and you sigh silently, pretending and hoping you'd done what he asked.
"you know that is not what i mean." he teases and your shoulders tense when his lips brush against the shell of your ear. he whispers, "be a good girl now. sit properly."
your eyes squeeze shut as embarrassment floods your cheeks, you moved to hover over him. his adventurous hands roam around your skin, they fumble at the hem of your soft dress and greedily moved it upwards to see more of a view. his mouth watered, seeing the cute little panties that pressed up against him. this feeling of his was as if he could perceive your sins through the electromagnetic spark that crackled when his skin connected with yours.
he undos the zipper of his pants and you freeze when he guides his thick tip to your tiny hole. your hesitation is evident, sasuke attempts to sedate it with a chide whisper of your name. watching your expression, he precariously tugs you in, cheering silently when your grasp clambers to his biceps, nails digging red crescent-moons into his biceps as you adjust to the painful stretch.
no matter how many times he fucks you, your body never seems to adjust to the sheer size of him. tears fill your eyes as sasuke tilts his head, faux frown pulling at his lips. his hands are warm, splayed across your thighs, smoothing over them slowly.
"you know i don't like it when you cry, baby."
you feel the eyes of the room on you, their gazes fleeting in your direction with red faces. one of the ninjas' who currently spoke began to stutter intensely.
"poor baby. did i hurt you?" he whispers, a cruel and excited look in his eye. you purse your lips, glancing away from him, pouting in childlike embarrassment. "didn' mean to."
you huff quietly despite the echo of warmth that washes over you, creeping up your neck, prickling your shoulders, your ears, and the sweet apples of your cheeks. hot, sturdy palms climb your body, clinging to your waist, lingering while his fingers ride higher, with blunt nails and soft fingertips ghosting across your ribs.
his nose twitches into a snarl when you flinch away from his fingertips tracing your sternum and you notice that he's gripping you harder. his eyes fix on your form, drinking in your figure, following the flow of pearlescent tears that fell from your eyes to your trembling jaw. he cocks his head to the side, peering up at you with half-lidded, dark eyes, thumbing over your hip bone.
lifting your hands to settle on staunch, broad shoulders, you breathe, "it feels like everyone is watching me."
he seemingly ignores you, hazy, dark eyes linger on you, transfixed, and nimble fingers trace the curve of your neck, trailing over your collar and past your clavicle.
"if you point them out, you know what i'll do for you." you shake your head quickly in response. you knew exactly what he'd do and in no way did you want to witness, nor be the cause of that again. he smirked at your silence, eyes growing darker. "then i'm gonna fuck you in front of all these people now."
your face grows warm as he watches for your reaction. his gaze roves, following the quick rise and fall of your chest, and you quickly wonder if he can hear the thudding of your heart, pounding to the beat of the blood rushing in your ears. he grips your hips tighter but he doesn't move you just yet, licking hips lips as he gazes down where your bodies connected.
"sasuke—" you barely finish breathing the name before he thrusts up into you, tears escape your eyes as you throw your head back with a silent moan. you could feel the eyes of the room on you as the lewd sounds your tiny, breathless pants echoes throughout the chamber.
you try to muffle the sounds of pleasure, escaping your throat in small squeaks in time with his thrusts. gradually, he speeds up, and you're unable to do anything but gasp and moan. your body goes weak suddenly as he hit began to his that spot with each thrust, you can't hold yourself up anymore. your cheek falls against his collarbone, your hands move to grab at the soft, black locks of hair at the base of his neck.
drool leaks from the corners of your mouth as you whimper his name a bit too loud, the eyes in the room seeming to grow a bit wider as the focus completely diverts from the topic at hand. you're breathing broken syllables of 'please' and 'sasuke', eyes growing distant as his hand snakes down between you to rub your clit.
you lost the ability to keep your voice silent, all inhibition leaves your body as your hips rut desperately into each of his thrusts. "hah hah! sasuke— sasuke fuck! please!"
his hands lie heavy on your hips, squeezing them as he kisses you roughly, thumbs digging into your waist. he's intoxicating, cloying your senses with the heat of his tongue and the heavy stench of sex, mingling, hardly masked by minty cologne. when he leaves, saliva clings to your parted lips, strung across the barely-there space between you, with hot puffs of air adhering to your faces like masks of honey and clay.
you can barely tear you eyes away from his to look between your bodies, watching the ring of white at the base of his cock. your entire body trembles violently from the strain as he pulls you back into his thrusts. your mouth falls open with a drawn moan of his name, as white clouds your vision.
he finds your mouth again, melding his tongue with the taste of you as the feeling of euphoria finally floods you. it was heavenly, the sensation crashing over you in waves, distracting you from the privy eyes of the room. your lips pulled away, a rope of spit connecting your lips as your head tossed to the side, eyes squeezing shut at they trembled wrapped around him, a shuttered moan passing your lips.
the moment the word leaves his mouth, the dozens of shinobi lining each side of the table scramble from their seats to the exit. you didn't even process his words, or even them leaving before sasuke was flipping you onto your stomach, lifting your hips up higher until only your upper half was pressed against the table before he began to thrust into your drooling, tight pussy.
you can't help but whimper and whine loudly now, rattling your frame and the table with the force of his thrusts. you thrash against him as the aftershocks of your previous orgasms corse through you, causing you to try and pull off his dick but to no avail. you hear him snarl as his hand finally move to grip and press your hips down against the table.
"trying to get away from me when you're all dripping like this?" he pants, scarred and calloused hands almost burning you with how unconsciously searing hot he was. that was something you noticed, he got feverishly warm when he was aroused, his chakra activating to accommodate his brimming emotions. "needy girl."
your nails dig against the cold, black marble. "fu— fuck, feels too good."
"yeah?" he purred, his excitement at your proclamation didn't go unnoticed. "you like it, filthy fucking whore. this pussy was made to be used by me, wasn' it."
"yeah." you whimpered meekly, moaning as his palm presses your cheek to the table. your eyes fluttered shut as you allowed the pleasure to consume you.
"no— no. don't look away from me." his hand gripped your chin, forcing you to look directly into those pretty, pretty eyes. if you were anymore lucid, you'd feel the pulsing of his fat cock inside of you, stretching your insides further and causing you to burn.
"m' sorry," you whimper, looking up at him with furrowed brows, too overcome with pleasure to truly feel bad. "sorry."
sasukes' head falls back with a breathy moan at the sound of your teary eyes and fearful voice, looking up at him like his was the sun in your sky.
he was. he was the sun in your sky, sasuke can't help but think as his hips slam into yours harder if possible, nearly bruising your tender pussy walls with the force of it.
"fuck, this is mine— all mine. mine."
sasuke resists the urge to kill you— oh how he hated how you made him feel. to watch the soul drain from your eyes would be pleasant, but far too fleeting. he'd much rather have you like this, over and over and over. where he could enjoy you for as long as he wanted.
so instead, he settled with a simple punishment, teeth finding your shoulder (he had learned already once to stay away from the neck) biting until you screamed, and he tasted the metallic liquid on his tongue. the blood was quick to pool on the table when sasuke released you, spilling to where his palm held him above you.
pained sobs left your puffy lips as your shoulder burned and clit ached for attention. you tried to hike yourself higher, let the friction of the table do your dirty work but sasuke caught onto your little plan far too quickly. he leaves you empty as his hand, covered in your blood grips your bruised hip, flipping you over so he could look you in the eye.
"don't try to be clever, stupid girl." he growls, you can only nod up and down through the last tremors of your own high as you squeeze around him. "move those hips now."
you obey quietly, he moans as you squeeze around him tighter and feels himself grow closer to his finish. he moved closer to you intrinsically, something you noticed he tended to do when he was going to cum.
"wanna cum too." was all you could manage, tiny hand gripping his palm as you lead him down quicker than he could notice, right to where you wanted to be touched. "i wanna cum, please sasuke. make me cum."
"yeah?" he abides, watching as you head tosses backwards, back arching as he massages your clit and sends pleasurable shockwaves through your body. "only i can make you cum, baby. only me."
"only you." he lets out the prettiest sound when you pull him closer by his hair, when you kiss his neck with so many desperate kisses you feel breathless. "only you."
his mouth drops open as he works you both to it, perspiration building above his brow and drenching his hair as your body's melt together with heat and searing affection. his warm body against yours is enough to get you coiling so tight, trembling violently as he fucks you through your second orgasm only easing up a little when you get so tight he might hurt you. when your walls flutter around him though, he increases his pace even more, resting his forehead against your shoulder.
his mean words die down to pathetic whimpers and he cums with a choked swear and your name, spurting thick ropes of hot white into your stupid cunt. it fills you up with warmth and makes you feel so nice and full. he collapses on top of you with your arms still limply around his neck, and hiccup against the tears when he buried his face in the crook of your neck, whispering words you couldn't hear.
you're too exhausted to process the slight burning of his skin against skin, too focused on the feeling of his lips curling against where his teeth punctured you .
you make a soft, small noise and let him kiss you again before your eyes flutter open. his irises carry all the ferociousness of the sun— and god, they were relentless. he hums at your little smile but when you catch his eyes, the darkness is still there. still, he pulls you a bit closer to his chest then, and you can feel the rapid patter of his heartbeat against yours and as bad as it should be, you can't help but think this is how you're supposed to be loved

Sasuke 💕
How would he feel about creampies?
He likes them a lot, but he's sooooo embarrassed by that.
(Which is kind of a shame, because damn does he look stunning with a facial đŸ«Ł)
Anyway, he's one of those omegas that's kind of possessive over your cum. Like... it needs to be inside him because that's where it belongs?? Obviously??
He does not say this out loud though, because he's embarrassed.
(It's okay, Sasuke, liking creampies came free with being a mammal babe, chill 😭)
He gives them an 8/10
What does he like about them?
Definitely the heat. The rush of warmth inside him makes him feel absolutely giddy.
But other than that, I'm not sure he could articulate why, it just feels like the right way to end things.
You couldn't really say why you decided to tease Sasuke.
Maybe your combined scents hanging heavy in the air was bringing out impulses that you normally had enough self-control to resist. Maybe Sasuke was just too cute to not tease every now and then.
You playfully nipped at one of the ankles that was resting on your shoulder, delighting in Sasuke's half-aborted gasp.
Or maybe, and this was the accurate answer if you were being honest with yourself, you had a theory about your mate to test.
You bent over a little more, grateful that Sasuke's flexibility was more than enough to accommodate you. The new angle pushed you even deeper into your mate and you both let out pleased groans. You had to take a deep breath before you could continue your thrusts.
This position, called the snail amusingly enough, was a new feature in yours and Sasuke's intimate lives, but ever since that fateful day two weeks ago when you had first tried it, Sasuke had demanded it every time. Even if you started out in a different position, he would somehow manoeuvre you both into the snail before the night was over.
You had already figured out that he liked the increased depth this position allowed, but you had a sneaking suspicion that his new obsession wasn't only about where your thrusts could hit. Hence why you were going to do a little teasing to test your theory.
"I'm close darling," you panted, running a hand up and down his outer thigh a few times. "Seeing as we're both tired and clean up can be a bitch, do you want me to pull out?"
You got to watch the exact moment when what you said sank in. Sasuke's face twisted in offended displeasure and his upper lip curled like he was going to snarl.
"No," he said shortly. His voice was incredibly firm and steady for someone currently being fucked. You had to work to hide your smile.
"Are you sure? Because-"
This time he really did snarl. It ripped out of him before you had finished speaking and you could have sworn you saw a flash of red in his eyes. Before you had a chance to look closer though, he kicked both of his legs off of your shoulders and tightened them in a vice grip around your waist, pulling your pelvis firmly flush against his.
You flailed for a moment as your balance shifted. Your arms fell down on either side of his head and you found yourself in something closer to the missionary position. Sasuke was glaring at you.
You knew it! Part of why he liked that position so much was because of how deep the creampie would be when you were finished. You couldn't stop the dopey grin from appearing on your face as you thought about how cute he was.
You didn't call him out (because you knew full well he'd be so embarrassed that it would end your night right there), but you did apologise, promise to cum inside him, and then let him manoeuvre you back into the snail position.
Too. Damn. Cute.

mine for the taking; sasuke uchiha
Tumblr media
synopsis — it was only a one night stand, why can’t you get out of his head? worst of all, why are you acting like you don’t want anything serious with him, when everyone wanted a piece of him?
content warning — slight yandere!sasuke (?), sexual themes
Tumblr media
you didn’t mean for it to happen, not really. it was a mission debrief, a long one, and he’d been unusually quiet — even for him. the air in the room had grown thick by the end, filled with too many glances and not enough words. you left together, not because of any plan, but because your feet started walking beside his like they belonged there.
it wasn’t love. it wasn’t even infatuation. it was tension. and curiosity. and convenience. you invited him in. maybe just to see what it would be like. maybe because you were bored. maybe because, deep down, you liked the way he looked at you — like he could see right through your clothes and into your mind.
he didn’t touch you right away. he stood near your door, gaze flicking to your throat, to the curve of your waist. you pulled your shirt over your head slowly, a silent challenge.
he stepped forward. you kissed him first and he didn’t stop you. his lips were warm, but hesitant — just for a moment. then they weren’t. then they were hungry. determined. desperate. he lifted your hips and laid you back on the bed like you might vanish.
he slid inside you like he already knew how. like your body was his second nature. you weren’t loud, not usually, but he made you cry out.
his lone hand gripped your waist tight, guiding you with firm rhythm. he cursed when you clenched around him, his breath shaky, his jaw locked. you came first. he followed. you didn’t stay the night, he didn’t ask you to.
“so, did he take his shirt off?”
you raise your brows at ami, swirling your iced tea lazily.
“i mean, since the incident, with naruto, he doesn’t, you know.”
“it took a while,” you say, taking a slow sip. “but once he got into it, it came off. i’d say it didn’t make too much of a difference — he was still very efficient.”
“oh my god,” kana leans in. “sakura is so lucky.”
you roll your eyes. “according to him, they aren’t together.”
“yeah, but all men lie,” ami shrugs.
you laugh. “true, though i wouldn’t feel too bad. she gave everyone hell over him, and he didn’t even like her.”
“do you think you’ll see him again?”
you cross your leg over the other, glancing out the window like you’re thinking. you’re not.
“it was fun,” you say. “but i don’t think so.”
“damn. you would’ve had the cutest uchiha babies,” ami whines.
you scoff, pushing your chair back and tossing a few coins on the counter.
“please, he has too much baggage, i’m gonna head home before it gets too late.”
“k’ see you later,” she waved as you left the small coffee shop.
you’re halfway down the road when you feel it again, eyes. not the casual kind. not the “someone’s walking behind you” kind. the heavy kind. the kind that weigh on your spine and make your stomach tighten, even when your surroundings say you’re alone.
it’s been happening for days now. the edge of every hallway. the shadow near your building. a flash of black near the gate.
but no proof. no face.
until tonight.
you turn the corner toward the path that leads to your apartment. and then he’s just
there. silent, watching, like he’s been waiting all this time for you to see him.
“sasuke,” you breathe.
he doesn’t respond at first. just looks at you like he’s cataloging every second you’ve been apart.
you find your voice. “you’ve been following me?”
“yes.”
you blink. “not even gonna lie about it?”
“why would i?” you fold your arms, trying to keep the heat from rising to your cheeks.
“what do you want?”
he takes a step closer.
“you’ve been avoiding me.”
you shrug. “i’ve been busy.”
his eyes darken. “you had time for your friends.”
“you keeping tabs on my schedule now?”
“i needed to know if you were still lying.”
you raise a brow. “about what?”
“about that night.” you exhale. long, slow, tired.
“sasuke. it was one night.”
he steps closer. “it wasn’t nothing.”
“maybe not to you.”
that stops him.
your voice softens, not out of guilt, but clarity.
“you’re sasuke uchiha. people obsess over you. follow you. worship the ground you walk on.”
his jaw clenches as you continue. “but i’m not people. and it was good — really good — but it didn’t change my life.”
he looks at you like you just slapped him.
“you walked out without looking at me.”
“i didn’t think i needed to.” he breathes through his nose. his fingers flex at his side.
“you said it didn’t mean anything,” he says. “but you’re lying.”
“why do you care?” you ask, stepping forward. “you could have anyone.”
“i don’t want anyone.” you pause.
“i want you.”
he’s in front of you now. close. too close.
“you let me touch you like you belonged to me,” he murmurs. “and then you acted like you didn’t.” you stare at him.
“you’re insane,” you whisper.
“you make me feel that way.”
his hand lifts. brushes your cheek. doesn’t demand. just touches.
“tell me it meant nothing,” he says.
you open your mouth before closing it.
he exhales shakily. “you can’t.”
you don’t answer.
he kisses you instead.
you don’t stop him. you don’t pretend. his mouth moves over yours like he’s been starving. he lifts your thigh and presses you against the closest wall, kissing down your neck, nipping your collarbone.
“you think you’re the only one who gets to leave?” he growls.
you moan as his hand dips below your waistband.
“you think you can walk around like i don’t see the way other men look at you?” your breath catches.
“i don’t care about them.”
“then why don’t you look at me the same way?”
he pushes his fingers inside you. you gasp.
“you want this,” he says. “you still want me.” you hate that he’s right.
you hate that your knees go weak when he curls his fingers just right.
you hate that you lean in when he kisses you again.
he slides your pants down, lifts you up, presses inside like he’s been waiting for this moment every single second since the first time. you moan — soft, breathy, honest.
he groans into your shoulder. “you’re mine.”
you gasp. “you said that last time.”
he bites your neck. “you didn’t correct me.”
he fucks you like he’s trying to burn the memory into both of you. like he needs you to feel him for days. your nails dig into his back. he doesn’t flinch. your hips move in rhythm, sloppy and fast, and when you come, it’s with a soft cry against his mouth. he follows. less sound, more breath. controlled. intense.
he stays inside for a beat longer than necessary and when he pulls out, he catches you as you wobble.
“you’re not tired?” you breathe.
“you are.”
“
show off.” he actually smirks.
you shake your head and sigh.
“
you’re not letting this go, are you?”
“never.” you glance at him.
“you want me to belong to you?”
he shrugs. “you already do.”
“you’re possessive.”
“you like it.”
“
unfortunately.”
you lean back against him. he doesn’t say anything.
but his hand stays tight around your waist like he’s scared you’ll disappear again. you won’t. not this time.
not yet.

nsfw alphabet with Sasuke?
UCHIHA SASUKE NSFW ALPHABET
A = Aftercare
I feel as if he doesn’t exactly know what it is at first, given that his past experiences have always been a ‘fuck then leave’ type of thing. But once he settled with you, he definitely made sure to provide some form of aftercare.
Now im not saying he’d be a cuddler, but he’d 100% get you a cup of cold water and clean you up if needed, additionally to that, he’ll stroke your hair when you sleep.
————
B = Body part (his favourite on you)
Oh it’s totally your neck. The way his bright-red sharingan flashes through the darkness while he scatters dark hickeys and bites across your neck.. he’s obsessed with it. He tries not to choke you often because he doesn’t want to accidentally hurt you, but surely he’ll caress your neck, give it a very light squeeze when he needs something to hold that’s not your thighs.
—————
C = Cum
Okay.. listen NOBODY is gonna argue with me, he loves to cum inside you, regardless if your on the pill or not, but of course if you don’t want him too, his next go-to is on your stomach, or at least on the outside of your puffy folds after being fucked so well by him.
—————-
D = Dirty Secret
He likes hearing you masturbate. It turns him on SO BAD. Particularly when you’re in the shower and you think he can’t hear the vibrating buzz that comes out the bathroom while the shower water is running.. news flash, your not in the shower, your sitting on the toilet seat, thighs parted with your favorite magic-wand vibrator pressed against your throbbing clit, stifled whimpers coming from you as you try to be quiet.. but he knows all about it.
——————
E = Experience
He had his fair share. Like it was implied with the aftercare section, he has messed around quite a bit when he went rogue and left the leaf. Nothing crazy, probably just two girls, although now that he’s with you! He doesn’t even think about them.
——————-
F = Favourite Postion
He can’t even express how much he loves having one of your legs thrown over his shoulder, his cock buried inside of you while the tip kissed your cervix so nicely. Your pretty sounds filling the room, tears streaming down your cheeks because this has been your fourth orgasm :((, his pale hands gripping onto your thigh, giving it a spank causing your body to jolt as you whined at the sensation. “Eyes open.” He says.
Another position he REALLY likes is 100% doggystyle, with your face buried in the pillow, one of his hands caressing the back of your head while the other rubs the hand-prints that were previously left on your ass.
——————-
G = Goofy
He's serious, not a joke or barely a peep out of him— unless of course he’s dirty talking you, or groaning against your ear.
——————-
H = Hair
Even though he’s gone a lot of the time, he likes to keep himself trimmed whenever he can.. now, im not saying he’s bald down there, there’s some hair, but it’s trimmed down because he doesn’t enjoy the mess.
———————
I = Intimacy
He has his moments!! Particularly one time during your two-year anniversary, he was very gentle, holding you close and whispering sweet nothings in your ear. Not much dirty talk when you two are having sweet-sex, but he will still praise you a ton, calling you his ‘pretty little thing’, and hey, if he’s feeling emotional enough, you might hear him say he loves you. But! Then again, it’s Sasuke.
————————-
J = Jack off
Honestly he doesn’t do it often at all, it’s known that Sasuke isn’t around much.. so in the event he is feeling all hot and bothered at the thought of missing your throbbing heat around his cock, he MAYBE has a pair of your underwear in his pocket.. and yes, he does jerk off with it.
————————
K = Kink/s
Sasuke is an Uchiha, and he’s been on this thing about ‘restoring his clan’ since he was a kid, so now that he’s older.. it’s guaranteed he has a breeding kink.
Another one of his major kinks is blindfolding or restraining, either with handcuffs or rope, he prefers to tie you up though, if he does let you, it would take a lot of time for him to be vulnerable like that, since he doesn’t let himself get too comfortable too quickly.
————————
L =  Location
Mostly in the bedroom, but.. he does enjoy sneaking up behind you in the kitchen, his hands wandering across your waist, slowly sliding up the hem of your shirt when he realizes you aren’t even wearing a bra.. Sasuke’s thumb grazing over your slowly hardening nipple, earning a soft sigh from you as you press your lower-half against him.
Safe to say he’s definitely taking you from behind against the counter.
———————-
M = Motivation
It’s the way you look at him. Your doe-eyed expression whenever he’s leaning over you, or on top of you. Fuck, you’re just so pretty.
———————-
N = No
He won’t do anything.. that has to do with liquids. Like piss or spitting on you. Degrading with words is fine (and still has a limit) but he won’t do anything that degrades you as a human being.
————————
O = Oral
Sasuke prefers to receive it, nevertheless, he wouldn’t mind going down on you to prep you or if you’re stressed out. Just because he doesn’t do it often doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy it, because trust me, once he starts.. he really doesn’t want to stop. He’ll get you off at least three times with his tongue before deciding to be a tease and finger-fucking you to feel your walls clenching around him.. OR he’ll give you what you want and take you with his length already.
When it comes to receiving, he always ends up face-fucking you and gripping onto your hair, not too much, but just a little. His noises are so pretty whenever you suck him off, at rare times he’ll bottom out and start whining a bit when he’s close, although, that’s rare since he has an extremely dominant nature, and doesn’t like to give that up.
————————
P = Pace
His pace is more.. even? He’s a nice mix between quick and slow, overall, it depends on how he feels at the moment.
————————
Q = Quickie
Sasuke is quite stealthy, he wouldn’t mind having a quicky in the forest behind a tree or something of the sort.. but he doesn’t prefer them, he likes to take his time.
———————-
R = Risk
He doesn’t like taking very many risks, since he’s in an established relationship with you, Sasuke cares about your safety a ton!! Only risk he’d take is pregnancy.. and well, he’s definitely not complaining about that.
———————
S = Stamina
Oh he’s more than capable of going a very long time, infact, all night. But he knows you most likely don’t have as much stamina as he does, therefore, usually after 2.. maybe even 4 rounds, he’ll put an end to it.
Unless you’re begging for another.
——————
T = Toys
Not a fan of them. He likes to be the one to please you, not some plastic device.
——————
U = Unfair
It’s quite often when Sasuke is seen as ‘unfair’ with his constant teasing and edging, only having his middle finger inside your aching cunt while his thumb slowly circles over your clit, a cocky smirk playing at his lips when he sees you whimper, trying to jerk your hips against his hand to make him give you more, awh.. poor thing.
——————
V = Volume
Honestly, Sasuke doesn’t make all that much noise during sex on a regular basis, but when he’s close and he can feel your warm walls fluttering around him, he just can’t help leaning his head back and panting, a quiet moan coming from him. But he mostly grunts and groans, his moans usually come out when he makes you bounce on his lap.
——————-
W = Wild?
Not exactly.. i mean, his kinks do range to pretty.. interesting stuff, so he can be wild, but he’s also quite tame.. until he can’t take it anymore, of course.
———————
X = X-ray
Sasuke has a decent sized length, he’s roughly 5.5 inches long, it’s decently girthy and the tip is a nice soft-pink color, with barley-visible veins on the side of his dick.
———————-
Y = Yearning
He’s not all that sex-focused. But when he is, it’s obvious by the way his onyx eyes stare at you.. lustful and darker.
Sasuke can also tell when you’re feeling needy too, just from the way your breath gets sharper around him, and how he catches you tracing your inner thighs to subtly caress yourself.. yeah, he teases you about it, and makes you beg for it a little.
———————-
Z = Zzzz
Sasuke doesn’t fall asleep all that quick, after giving you proper aftercare and getting you all cleaned up, your out like a light. Meanwhile, he’ll turn off the lamp light and lay beside you with only his hand wrapped around your shoulder, he likes to admire how pretty you look when your sleep, maybe twirling a strand of your hair around his finger.

An angsty QiJiu idea I had a while ago (is it basically a shameless rip-off of a NaruSasu fic I read? Yes)
YQY goes on a mission to a remote area in the borderlands and stops near a mysterious lake. Despite being close to the demon lands, the water is crystal clear, and the plants are lush, perhaps too vividly so. When he gets closer to investigate, a strange reflection appears on the surface, and he falls inside... But instead of feeling the coldness, he wakes up in his bed, on the peak, as if nothing had happened.
Except it looks wider, less empty, with a couple of vases of blooms and green details everywhere that indicate the presence of someone else in the space. Someone whose tastes he is familiar with.
His body is also lighter, the hum of his soul-bonded sword no longer resonating in his skull.
YQY knows there's something wrong, and he needs to get out of there; he's no fool after all. But a sweet "Qi-ge, you woke up late today" greeting him as soon as he steps out the door makes his resolution crumble like wet paper.
He knows is some sort of trap and he has to leave, but maybe, just maybe, he can stay a little bit longer. He is strong. He can spare a few more seconds just once...
I was inspired (very, very inspired... It is basically just ripping the plot, what can I say) by a Naruto fic, although in this case instead of killing its victim with drowning, the lake would drain their qi until the prey dies, keeping them underwater to feed their small ecosystem amid hostile lands, and thus attracting more victims.
But, YQY overestimated the lake's strength. The fake SQQ is so real, so warm, the poison missing behind the snarky remarks just enough to not feel hollow. He still tries to leave, but days go by, and he finds no way out.
Even knowing that he doesn't deserve any of that tenderness or smiles, the domesticity of everyday life ends up making him lose touch with reality, making him dip into this ideal life with a Xiao-jiu whom he did not fail.
Outside his happy ending/fluff fanfic, people start wondering what happened, and they manage to trace him back to that lake. The search party urgently summons several peak lords, including SQQ, because there is no visible way to get YQY out of the bottom of the lake. And despite YQY's strong spiritual power, he is getting consumed.
In the fic Sasuke believes he died and this is a kind of afterlife where he can be happy with Naruto, but I think here YQY knows that he is dying, and under the lake's influence he ends up fully believing that the person that matter to most to him won't miss him at all, so he decides to embrace the fantasy completely, even if it means death.
The lake sometimes shows flashes of the events happening inside. While everyone is still running in circles, SQQ approaches just to see YQY be all sad with fake!SJ, actually confessing about the caves and the nature of his sword (the only thing left in his chest before he dies). The reflection goes back to normal as soon as fake!SJ "I love you" back.
With (fake) Qijiu's first and last kiss, all the peak lords feel YQY's qi disappear, and SJ is left mourning for another broken promise, the last one...
Except there is no way he is letting YQY just die like that, in the arms of a fake. If he is going to mumble a half-ass apology like that, it better be to his real face!! Panicking and enraged, SJ jumps into the lake to rescue him, even if he knows YQY is too deep in, just to do something. To try to go back to him, like now he knows YQY tried to do all those years ago.
He barely makes it underwater before the other peak lords drag him back to shore, fearing that the lake would claim him as well.
Except the lake did claim him.
A very confused, wet and freshly transmigrated SY is the one that comes back out in SQQ's body.

I feel like Naruto dudebros hate Sasuke so much because they interpret him as some kind of jock?
y'know how in (mostly American) movies there's the outcast loser who is picked on by this jock who gets all the chicks, but then the loser starts idk training or gaining superpowers or people start to acknowledge he's a science genius or whatever, so he becomes "the hero" of the story, then the outcast-loser-turned-into-the-hero gets the chance to "humble" the jock, after that he finally gets the chick and also has a laid-back friend that was sort of a loser too as his side-kick. It's like peak masculinity representation in media.
Think of that scene in the Spiderman movie of Peter Parker beating the shit out of Flash, then gets his girl MJ and also has his more laid-back best friend, Harry.
I think this is how Naruto dudebros interpret the manga and the characters and how they expected those dynamics to be developed. Naruto is the outcast that's picked on by Sasuke the jock (dudebros SWEAR Sasuke was awful to Naruto when they were genins, idk where the fuck they got that from) and his zero to hero journey was supposed to include, at some point, him humbling Sasuke, then get the chick that could've been either Sakura or Hinata and also there's Shikamaru the laid back character that dudebros swear for dear life is Naruto's best friend.
A lot of dudebros expected Naruto to "humble" Sasuke by killing him during their final battle, so completely off the mark, like zero understanding of Kishimoto's writing and intentions. They wanted Naruto to showcase his superiority in battle, that's why even though Sasuke lost the fight and acknowledges this out loud, they don't like it because on one side their skills on battle were pretty much on par and on the other side bc of this Naruto only won through love and compassion, and that's not what they expected or wanted.
Naruto never gives us the humbling moment, he doesn't care about any of the potential chicks he could get (even after getting with one of them) and doesn't consider the laid back character his best friend at any point. He is diametrically opposed to this loser-turned-hero archetype.
But also Sasuke isn't this jock either, he awakens many insecurities in male fans because they project so much of their own lived experiences where they were the loser against a much cooler dude in school or they're just to accustomed to certain writing of male characters. But Sasuke was the only one of Naruto's peers to be kind to him and second only to Iruka overall, a point Naruto repeats over and over. He gets all the attention of all the girls but he isn't interested in a single one of them (because he's always been observing Naruto from afar too). He didn't want to kill Naruto because he's this sort of generic villain that lost himself in the dark and there is no salvation for him either, like c'mon people we had entire arcs that delve into detail about all this.
It's just an all-around misunderstanding of Kishimoto's writing of his overall work and Naruto and Sasuke's relationship.

Yandere! Black Eagle! Sasuke
Tumblr media
Warning: As this is yandere fiction, this deals behaviours that may be uncomfortable or triggering to read.  Read at your own risk. This work is purely fictional, I do not condone this behaviour irl.
This is yandere Sasuke's profile, as part of my Uchiha "black bird" series. Not sure if I'll extend this to other Naruto clans/characters, the Uchiha lore will be delivered for now. I highly advice to read Tengu! Itachi's story first because this one connects to it and makes references to it. But everything is broken down so you can read it as a stand alone if you want.
Synopsis:
The notorious Uchiha clan comprises of bird demons that are mostly of Tengu and Garuda species. With their enormous wings, typically black, they dominate the skies with their ferocity and vigour. Battles are evident to be fought by the Uchiha Tengu and Garuda when dark skies are left hovering over their deceased enemies, and accompanying the storm rain, there are also black feathers. There's an infamous warning; beware the arrival of the black skies for a storm is coming to drown you, and with it, the shedders of the black feathers approach to kill and bring your rue.
Background
Sasuke was eternally accompanied by dark clouds over his shoulders, feelings of loneliness heavy on his heart, and thirst for power and revenge corroding in his eyes. The suffocating grief he carried was understood by none, not even his own blood brother. For what little he could remember of them, the relatives everyone else seem to have, and unjustly not him, he was loved.
He used to have a father who was brave, one of Uchiha's undefeated warriors, a fearless leader. He heard that his father was a man that stood on his own values, and priortised his family over all, including their own clan's visions, if contradicting. His mother - benevolent, warm-hearted, and kind. She was a woman who loved her children as fearlessly as their father led them, and even with her soft heart, she was strong. She was once a warrior who won for their clan, before her decision to retire to look after Itachi and him. Even if Sasuke was only four-years-old when he lost his parents, he could still easily recall the warmth and safety of his mother's embrace.
They were dead, both of his parents dead, killed by one of their blood sworn enemies, the Uzumaki. It was not clear who it was, but the most suspected murderer was rumoured to be The Yellow Flash, for how fast it had occurred without anyone noticing. The worst part of it all, Itachi hadn't care.
He had brought up the same conversation with him again and again. He had begged and pleaded for his brother to train him, to help him become stronger, and tried to convince him over and over that between the two of them, if Itachi trained him, they could search for the Yellow Flash themselves and kill him. They could take him for his wings, and display them as a symbol of their victory for their parent's revenge. But each time, he was never listened to. He was shut down, completely.
"Don't delude yourself, we're no match for him. I lost my wings once against their fight, I won't do it again. Foolish little brother."
Foolish little brother, those were the same words Itachi spat at him each time, like he was germ beneath his foot. Itachi was a liar; once someone lost their wings, Sasuke knew there was no way to get them back. They were their lifeline, and one was basically dead without them. If Itachi had lost them, how did he have his current ones? And after he had asked that question once, he never asked it again. The punishment he had received, he never wanted to experience that again.
He had no idea how his saint of a sister-in-law tolerated his elder brother, he no longer could. She was the closest thing to family, someone he cared about left for him. Since the death of his parents, she had raised him, her and Itachi being his legal guardians. Unlike his brother, who was cold and calculating and ignored him, she was kind.
She treated him with something akin of love and affection - celebrating his milestones, telling him stories about his parents, and helping to refine his battle skills in secret, away from Itachi's prying eyes. It was strange how her advice took him far when she never fought a day in her life. He questioned that as well, and with Itachi never giving him anything, their relationship worsened.
His sister-in-law had tried to get him to sympathise with his elder brother, explaining it was hard for Itachi who was only eight-years-old when he had also lost everything. Itachi was only eight-years-old when he still chose to be responsible for himself, take legal guardianship for his baby brother, and become an active warrior in their war. Sasuke understood that, but, his brother wasn't eight anymore. He was an adult, so was Sasuke and he deserved to know. However, overtime, even his time with his sister-in-law was minimised, because his brother monopolised it.
Meeting
Lost in thought, Sasuke clutched a stone in his hand until it created abrasions that bled, and stared blankly at the lake in front of him. He was numb to the physical pain caused by something as insignificant as a stone.
"You're glaring and scowling at the water. What did the water ever did to you?" Remarked a familiar voice smartly, and immediately, Sasuke's scowl deepened.
"Get lost." He retorted simply; however, his tone implied anything but that. Both people knew that.
[Name] grinned, as she flew down from the tree branch she was perched on, and landed on her feet with grace. Her long, pointed, and crescent-blade like wings, slate-grey in full colour with patches of white and black in the inner corners fading into slate-grey near the ends, shook rapidly behind her, indicating her joy at spotting her friend. She bumped her shoulder with Sasuke's in greeting.
"Hey."
"Hn."
[Name] rolled her eyes. "Keep that up and you'll have the rest of our cohort just loving you."
Sasuke scoffed. "I couldn't careless about them. I have more important things to focus on."
[Name] frowned, as her eyes drifted down to Sasuke's hand to see that they were covered in cuts, bruises, dried blood, and callouses. Gently, she grabbed his right hand, uncurled the fingers that were gripping the stone tightly, and took the stone out of his hand. Carelessly, she threw it across the lake. Momentarily, both of them watched the stone skip over the water a few times creating ripples, before it went under. She brushed her hands over his callouses and new bleeding wounds softly. "I take it that the talk with Itachi didn't go well?"
The gigantic, broad and arched black wings coming from Sasuke's back, and being a good foot visible over his own head, shook aggressively indicating his anger.
"I don't care about Itachi, he's useless. I'm going to get stronger my own way. And when I am, I'm going to find the Yellow Flash and tear him an entire new hole." He hissed. In the meantime, [Name] had gotten a cloth out of her pouch, and started to clean the blood on the palm of his hand.
"There's no doubt that you will be powerful Sasuke, you're destined for great things. You're one of the only other Garuda's we have presently other than our clan head. Great things are achieved by the Eagles, including ancient abilities." [Name] tried to reassure. Now, she had moved onto wrapping bandages around his wounds.
"I would have awakened by them now if I was meant to. You hear what they say, don't pretend to be ignorant! My brother is stronger than me, every other eagle before me was in their prime by my age. I'm still under training. I'm weak, my hatred isn't strong enough! You know that they all say that I'm weak!" He cried out in frustration, and would have curled his fingers in his palm again so his sharp talons that had arisen the tips of his finger in response to his emotions dug into his skin and restart his bleeding. However, [Name] kept a strong grip on his hand, and when his talons pricked her skin. She endured the pain even without flinching. After all, she was also a warrior, and that pain was nothing. Besides, what kind of falcon would she be if a little snip from a talon made her flinch?
While she held Sasuke's hand with one, she put her other hand on his cheek, and tenderly moved his head so he was looking down and meeting her eyes. In his beautiful onyx eyes, there were rare emotions showcasing vulnerability.
"Sasuke, there have only been two, maybe three eagles before you. That means nothing, that's not enough numbers to know when the abilities should awaken or not. Let them say whatever they want, they're dogs who just bark and have no bite, they're not like you. They haven't had a childhood like yours. The hell with what they say, what the clan says, or even what Itachi says. You're not weak. And you don't need hatred. You have a cause, your determination to work hard for it, and that will pay off."
The dark clouds that were always on his shoulders, and the loneliness weighing heavily on his heart, felt slightly lighter for the moment. But, he frowned.
"Did you just imply that I'm a dog?" He asked, and glared at [Name], who smiled cheekily. She patted his cheek condescendingly.
"A dog that barks and bites. So a better one." She said grinning ear-to-ear. Sasuke scoffed and gently nudged her as a "push."
"My revenge isn't the only one I want to be strong for you know." He whispered, and brushed his fingers through a lock of [Name]'s hair. He stared into her unique set of eyes deeply, finding them fascinating as always. She had [e/c] eyes but it never appeared that way due to her overstriking Falcon features. Her black irises were typically always widened and covered her whole eyes including the sclera. She was always in prey mode, always on defense, ready to take on any attack, ready to take on any fights. She never lowered her guard, unless it was the very rare moments around her "safe" people, including him. And only then, did her black irises retreated to their normal size that they should typically be in, and the real colour of her eyes was visible. It was beautiful.
A look of shared understanding, a moment of relief that there was another who understood their own experiences, a second of connection of knowing they shared the same grief passed between them. After all, that's why they got along, and that's why they were each other's "safe" person.
Like Sasuke, [Name]'s parents had also been killed by The Yellow Flash. It wasn't just her parents, but her younger siblings as well. Sasuke honestly never understood how losing with everything that she had, in comparison he still did have Itachi and his sister-in-law barely, she could smile so much, and not want to seek more power either.
"Your sense of justice is so strong Sasuke, I admire that. But you don't need to burden yourself with my pain, I don't need revenge. As your friend, I just wish the best for you, and just want you took take better care of yourself - physically and mentally. And that's enough for me." [Name] said easily, smiling.
This time, Sasuke was the one who rolled his eyes. "You're so annoying."
"I know."
"I'm going to do it anyway, though, no matter what you say. I'm going to take revenge for you too. If you're going to take care of me, I will do the same for you." Sasuke stated. Whether he intended for his words to have the effect they did - [Name] did not know. Nonetheless, she felt her cheeks heat up.
"I know."
Time of realisation
During one of their expeditions, they had come across a team of Uzumaki. Both sides fought to annihilate. They launched vicious attacks against one another. Sasuke in particular, had cornered a Uzumaki, and was about to shoot a massive fireball at them, when he heard her scream. Time stilled, and bells rung in his head. He snapped his head towards the direction of the scream to see that one of them had managed to get over [Name] before they had ripped an entire wing out of her back.
Her loud scream, tears, and the blood gushing out of her back - that's all he could remember. After, when his red eyes that were usually three tomes had morphed into a three-pointed pinwheel, when black flames had shot out of right eye and burnt everyone, but [Name] to less than ashes, and when he had ran back to his and Itachi's home with his eyes crying blood, he remembered none of it. He only remember what happened to [Name], her being at death's door, and while gripping her tightly in his arms, he had dropped on his knees in front of the person he despised and begged. He begged to Itachi while crying blood of desperation.
"You said you lost your wings, but you wear them once more. Please brother, whatever it was, help me save her. I'll owe you a life debt."
Itachi had only stared at him coldly.
"You will give up on the Yellow Flash."
Sasuke's heart had dropped to his stomach. However, when [Name] had cried out in pain once more, he didn't think twice about it, before he agreed to that promise, and one more that he would speak to no one about what he would witnesse. Only then, did he see his sister-in-law perform celestial manipulation that he never even knew existed. And what was [Name] with half a wing, almost at death door, was the Falcon he knew once more. Face full of colour, and full length wings - she was well and alive.
Yandere
Since the passing of her family, [Name] had lived alone. She never bothered with socialisation too much until she had met Sasuke Uchiha. Even then, mostly being by herself, she was accustomed to doing whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. That was, until recently. Ever since they had returned from their last expedition, Sasuke was completely different. Before, they were friends - they held mutual respect for each other's intellect, skills, and autonomy; however now, he fully disregarded whatever she wanted to do. It was ridiculous and frustrating. He was everywhere that she was, and that was suffocating.
"Sasuke, I understand your concern, if I was in your place, I would also worry a lot about you. Thank you for worrying about me so much, I appreciate your kindness. But it's been weeks, and I'm okay. It will be okay for me resume to normal duty," [Name] tried to reason, and smiled in reassurance.
Sasuke refused to budge. "You're not leaving. I won't have you be in danger again."
[Name]'s eyebrow twitched. She opened her mouth to respond, however, quickly closed it, and her eyes widened in shock when Sasuke moved his hands to grab her own. It was flabbergasting because while he did initiate small physical touch with her time-to-time, he had never been the one to hold hands with her first. He intertwined their fingers.
"I realised something I should have known much earlier. But it took almost you dying for me to fully grasp it. I love you [Name], I care about you. When you almost died, I couldn't breath. It hurt so much, and the thought of living in this terrible world without you, I couldn't breath. I have been so alone, I've always felt so alone. But I understand now, that when I'm with you, I don't have to be like that. My heart feels lighter, and you make it easier to breath. Don't take that away from me [Name] please, you're the only I have. I can't live without you." Sasuke almost but pleaded, and with each passing word, his grip on her hands became tighter.
It was painful. And while [Name] was a strong falcon who could tolerate a stone or a talon pricking her skin, she could not exactly tolerate the very tight and painful grip Sasuke had on her, and his ten talons rising from his nails, and digging and breaking into her skin, drawing blood.
Sasuke's heart felt light, but in contrast, [Name]'s did not. She loved him, she truly did, but whatever was happening, and whatever Sasuke wanted out of it, it was happening for all the wrong reasons.
She winced in pain, Sasuke noticed, but ignored it. Instead, he stared into her eyes intensely for a response.
"I, I love you too Sasuke, and I care about you too." [Name] began, and his onyx eyes lightened up. Internally however, she cringed at herself for her upcoming words.
"But I can't be with you because I make you feel less alone, that's not the right reason to be with someone. We should be together because we love each other and because we want to be together. We're individuals coming together, not halves of one person where you can't live without me. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?" She prodded gently, and Sasuke scoffed at her.
"Itachi warned me you weren't going to be complacent the first time around. But that's okay, he told me that this was something he had to train my sister-in-law with this as well. I just need to teach you to get used to me." He responded simply. [Name] gasped in shock.
"What do you mean teach me-" However, she never got the chance to finish her sentence, because she was cut off. Putting his lips against her unexpectedly, Sasuke kissed her, and he continue to engage in his one-sided kiss, until he had pushed [Name] back in his bed so she was sprawled on it messily, and held her down with his entire weight on her. He gripped her hands in one of his own, talons digging into her skin. His legs were beside her laying frame, and his other free hand settled on her stomach, just at the end of her shirt.
[Name] screeched, and tried to push back, but her efforts were futile. Eventually, Sasuke pulled back from her, a string of their spit connecting them.
"That's how I'll teach you. You're going to love me back, and we'll be together. We'll get married, we have to. I'm not going to let you ever leave me."
___
Some points for Sasuke:
I know I rambled about his background but for this AU, I feel its important to understand how he had grown up to set scene for his aha "yandere" moment and what led to what. So basically, from Itachi's story, Sasuke believes Uzumaki is behind his parents murder, particularly, the "Yellow Flash" aka Minato. Whether you understood it or not, but this boy had a messed up childhood. His parents died when he's four (so he barely remembers them). From his perspective, Itachi was emotionally neglectful and only Itachi's darling kind of "cared" for him with whatever capacity she can. It's a messy situation because Itachi was also very young when all that happened, as explained, but he's very strict with Sasuke growing up. Refusing to train him etc, that's Itachi's way of being 'protective' and not wanting Sasuke to be involved in battles and their clan wars. He doesn't want Sasuke to seek answers, he just wants him to be quiet and live a peaceful life. His intentions are good, but his actions are harsh, just like canon. But, unlike canon, continuing from Itachi's story, the number 1 priortiy for Itachi is his dove darling. Sasuke comes second. That's why if Sasuke is very annoying, big bro brings out the good ol Tsukuyomi to shut him up LOL (not lol really, poor Sasuke). And also, Sasuke WILL have a skewed up view on love because his only example is Itachi and his dove sister-in-law. We all know how that relationship is.
Uchiha are mostly Tengu. The "tengu" captures the following real bird species and traits like crows, ravens, etc. "Garuda" that Sasuke comes under, is derived from Hindu mythology. It features eagles and hawks. These are known to be less than 5, and those that were/are, are legendary warriors, renounced for awakening ancient abilities, that have not been known since The Great One and the current head of the clan. So, given all that information, I'll let yall guess who else is going to be eagle ;) (if you want)
Again, Sasuke promised to give up on the "yellow flash". He never he wouldn't still seek revenge because the rumoured person is "yellow flash" it could be another uzumaki if a misunderstanding occurred. In the future, Sasuke might go killing another uzumaki who idk the anime is named after.
Again, not to point the obvious, Itachi's and Sasuke's relationship is very strained. But it seems like big bro might get brownie points for helping his baby bro get his girl (they're so nice /sarcasm/)
Happy reading!!

Naruto | Uchiha Sasuke x male!shinobi!reader ~ Physical (smut)
The fight between you and Sasuke had escalated far beyond words.
You weren’t even sure what had started it. Something stupid, most likely. You and Sasuke were both hotheaded, both prideful. It didn’t take much to set either of you off, and when you both snapped at the same time—
Well.
That’s how you ended up here.
On the training grounds, your voices ringing through the empty space, words laced with venom.
"You’re so damn stubborn!" you snarled, pacing a short distance away.
"And you’re not?" Sasuke snapped back, dark eyes burning with frustration. "Look who's talking!"
"I wouldn't have to talk if you actually listened for once—"
"I listen just fine, but you—"
It was pointless.
Neither of you were backing down.
It was inevitable that this would turn physical.
The first strike was yours.
A blur of motion—kunai flashing, chakra crackling in the air.
Sasuke dodged, retaliating just as fast, and soon, the argument was the least of your concerns.
Now it was a fight.
Jutsu clashed, metal met metal. You traded blows, kicks and punches, neither of you holding back.
Sasuke was fast—damn fast—but today, you were faster.
His Sharingan tracked your movements, but he couldn’t predict everything. You caught him off guard, slipping through his defenses, forcing him onto the back foot.
And then—
With one final maneuver, you took him down.
The impact sent up a cloud of dust.
Sasuke grunted beneath you, wrists pinned, chest rising and falling hard as you straddled his waist, locking him in place.
Both of you were panting, faces flushed from exertion.
The tension was thick.
Your anger still burned, but something shifted.
Sasuke’s gaze was locked onto yours.
Heavy. Dark. Wanting.
And suddenly—
You weren’t fighting anymore.
You weren’t sure who moved first, but one moment you were glaring at each other, and the next—
Your mouths collided.
The kiss was rough, all teeth and hunger, fueled by frustration and the need to claim.
Your grip on his wrists tightened.
Sasuke growled into your mouth, back arching slightly beneath you, like he wanted to fight back but was too far gone to resist.
"Fuck," you breathed against his lips, pressing your forehead to his.
"Shut up and fuck me," Sasuke muttered, breathless.
And you did.
Right there, on the training grounds, where anyone could have seen.
You tore at his clothes, fingers digging into bare skin, leaving marks that would last days.
Sasuke moaned as you pushed into him, back arching, legs tightening around your waist.
The sounds he made—gods—they only drove you wilder.
You slammed into him, frustration turning into raw need, each thrust forcing more desperate noises out of him.
"Harder," he panted, nails dragging down your back. "Don’t fucking hold back—"
You didn’t.
The training grounds echoed with the sounds of your bodies meeting, of Sasuke’s breathless moans, of your own groans as you pushed him closer and closer to the edge.
Until finally—
He broke.
His body tensed beneath you, head tilting back in a silent cry as pleasure overtook him.
You followed right after, burying your face in his neck as you came undone.
For a long moment, neither of you moved.
Just laid there, panting, catching your breath.
Then—
"So," you murmured, pressing a lazy kiss to his jaw. "What were we even fighting about?"
Sasuke huffed a laugh, rolling his eyes. "Hell if I know."
You chuckled, pressing another kiss—this time, to his lips. "Next time we get pissed at each other, let’s just skip the fighting and get straight to this."
Sasuke smirked. "Agreed."

Sasuke was never the most physical lover.
What he was
subtle, protective, almost jealous. At times he reminds you of something else, something much more feral. Perhaps a big cat, like a lion or a tiger, or maybe a mythical creature, like a dragon. He likes big reptiles, you remember that fact about him, a quirk you once called cute, and that resulted in him blushing so furiously he had to take a walk to calm down. Anyhow, at times, he reminded you of a dragon, one that guards his treasure jealousy, spitting fire at anyone who dared come too close. And you were his treasure, forever kept and guarded by the man who called himself your husband. And his way to mark territory, to show claim and ownership was subtle touches. A hand on the small of your back, or a hand that wrapped around your wrist, letting you cling to his arm as you walk down the street. Small things, death glares and flashed sharingans at whoever dares stare at you for too long.
“You smell nice today.” He remarks, as always stoic and monosyllabic, remaining both cold and warm when he interacts with you. He forgot his lunch at home, so you brought it to him. As usual, he's at the Hokage's office, doing who-knows-what to aid Naruto with his work. He places the small bento box to the side, and you expect him to kick you out with a soft nod of his head towards the door. Instead, he stands next to you, his fingers slowly dancing over your arm, travelling all the way to your lower back. “Gets me thinking that maybe we should start
clan repopulation business soon.” His words are a sultry purr as his hand rubs the expanse of your ass, your breath hitching when you think he's about to grope. Or worse, bend you over the Hokage’s desk and put the first Uchiha baby inside you. But no, instead, he places a kiss at the top of your hair, and sends you on your way with a soft smile.
As you walk away, you can hear Naruto complain to him.
“Can you try and not fuck your wife during office hours!?”

A New Tide / Sakura Haruno x Hoshigaki! Female Reader
Tumblr media
(Y/N) Hoshigaki, the daughter of Kisame, arrives in Konoha as part of an exchange program during the time skip. She’s assigned to Sakura’s team, but the partnership starts on rocky ground. Sakura resents (Y/N) at first, seeing her as an unwelcome replacement for the missing Sasuke, and tensions run high between them.
Word count: 5029
Warning: soft angst. Fluff.
A/n: This was requested by an anon. Enjoy it!
The breeze through Konoha was crisp, the scent of autumn leaves mixing with distant wood smoke. Sakura Haruno stood with her arms crossed, emerald eyes narrowed as she sized up the new addition to her team—a shark-like grin plastered on the face of Hoshigaki (Y/N), Kisame’s daughter.
Sakura hated this.
Kakashi-sensei had framed it as an exchange program to foster peace between villages after the chaos of the Akatsuki, but all Sakura saw was a replacement—another teammate coming in to fill the void left by Naruto’s training trip with Jiraiya and Sasuke’s defection. And worse, it wasn’t just anyone—it was the daughter of that man, the one allied with Itachi, Sasuke’s captor.
Sakura tugged her gloves tighter over her hands. “Let’s get one thing straight,” she muttered, low enough for only (Y/N) to hear. “I don’t care what kind of arrangement Konoha made. I don’t trust you. So stay out of my way, and we won’t have a problem.”
(Y/N) blinked, unfazed, then shrugged with an easy, toothy grin. “Got it, princess.”
The nickname made Sakura’s eye twitch, but before she could respond, Kakashi waved them over.
Their first few missions together were
 rocky, to say the least.
(Y/N) was everything Sakura wasn’t used to—playful, unpredictable, and reckless. Where Sakura preferred precision and structure, (Y/N) dove headfirst into danger with a grin, her chakra-heavy water attacks leaving destruction in their wake. She was strong, yes, but infuriatingly so, as if her entire life had been spent testing the limits of her strength just for fun.
“Could you not drench everything we’re trying to save?” Sakura snapped after one mission where (Y/N)’s water jutsu flooded an entire merchant cart they were supposed to protect.
(Y/N) gave a nonchalant shrug, slinging her massive sword—one that looked suspiciously like a smaller version of Samehada—over her shoulder. “No one got hurt, did they? I call that a win.”
Sakura groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. “How can you be so careless?”
But beneath her annoyance, something else started to take root—a grudging respect. (Y/N) might have been wild, but she was dependable in her chaotic way. During a particularly nasty ambush, Sakura had been caught off guard, and cornered by two rogue shinobi. In an instant, (Y/N) was there, her movements fluid and efficient. A burst of water surged from her palms, sweeping the enemies away as if they were nothing more than leaves in a stream.
“See? Told you I had your back,” (Y/N) said with a wink, her sharp grin softening just a little.
And just like that, the walls Sakura had built began to crack.
Days turned to weeks, and soon Sakura found herself anticipating (Y/N)’s antics more than dreading them. There was a strange comfort in their arguments—a rhythm to the push and pull between them. (Y/N) teased constantly, but there was never any malice in her words, only a playful warmth that made Sakura’s heart feel lighter.
The real change came one quiet evening after training. The sky was painted in deep purples and gold as they sat side by side under a tree, the cool breeze brushing through their hair. (Y/N) leaned back, hands resting behind her head as she looked up at the darkening sky.
“Do you ever wonder what it would be like to live somewhere else?” she asked softly.
Sakura tilted her head, surprised by the question. “What do you mean?”
(Y/N) gave a half-smile, a rare flicker of vulnerability flashing across her face. “I mean
to belong somewhere. My whole life, it’s just been about following orders—doing what’s expected of me. I don’t know what it’s like to stay somewhere because I want to.”
Sakura felt a strange ache in her chest at those words. She understood that longing more than she cared to admit—the feeling of being adrift, trying to find meaning in a world that kept shifting beneath her feet.
“You belong here,” Sakura said before she could stop herself.
(Y/N) turned to look at her, her silver-blue eyes catching the fading light. “Do I?”
Sakura’s breath caught the words tangling in her throat. There was something in (Y/N)’s gaze—something tender and unsure as if she was searching for permission to hope.
Without thinking, Sakura reached out, her hand brushing against (Y/N)’s. The contact was brief, but it sent a spark through both of them, a silent promise that neither of them fully understood yet.
“Yes,” Sakura whispered. “You do.”
———————
After that night, everything between them shifted.
Their banter became less sharp, their glances lingering just a little longer. In the quiet moments between missions, Sakura found herself drawn closer to (Y/N), her heart aching in ways she hadn’t expected. It wasn’t just admiration or companionship—it was something deeper, something that made her feel breathless and alive all at once.
(Y/N) seemed to feel it too. Her teasing softened, and when they were alone, the mask of bravado she wore slipped away, revealing a gentleness that Sakura hadn’t seen before.
One rainy afternoon, as they sat huddled beneath the awning of a tea shop, (Y/N) leaned in closer, her voice low and intimate. “You know
if you asked me to stay, I would.”
Sakura’s heart stuttered in her chest. “What?”
(Y/N) gave her a small, almost shy smile. “I think
I finally found a reason to stop running.”
For a moment, Sakura couldn’t breathe. The world around them faded, leaving only the sound of the rain and the steady beat of her heart.
Then, with a surge of courage she didn’t know she had, Sakura closed the distance between them, pressing her lips to (Y/N)’s in a kiss that tasted like rain and promises.
When they finally pulled away, (Y/N) rested her forehead against Sakura’s, her breath warm against her skin.
“So, is that a yes?” she whispered.
Sakura smiled, her heart full for the first time in a long time. “Yes,” she whispered back. “Stay with me.”
And for the first time in her life, (Y/N) felt like she had finally come home.
After that kiss, everything between Sakura and (Y/N) seemed to shift effortlessly, as if a knot had finally come undone. The awkwardness Sakura feared never appeared; instead, their connection grew deeper, an unspoken understanding flowing between them like a river finding its course.
But, of course, the world around them didn’t stop. Missions continued, routines remained, and the shinobi life offered little space for romance. Yet, even in stolen moments—whether it was brushing hands during training or a quiet night walk along the village walls—Sakura found solace in (Y/N)’s presence. It was a strange, unexpected comfort that made her world feel more bearable.
And it made her realize just how terrified she was of losing it.
——————-
One morning, the sky above Konoha was overcast, with thick clouds promising rain. Team Kakashi had just completed a simple patrol mission, and as they regrouped at the gate, Kakashi lingered back, flipping through one of his infamous books.
“Good work today,” Kakashi said lazily, his eye crinkling in a way that hinted he knew more than he let on. “(Y/N), I’ll need to see you later at the Hokage’s office for a report.”
(Y/N)’s casual smirk faltered ever so slightly, but she gave a mock salute. “Got it, Sensei.”
Sakura watched the exchange with a growing knot in her stomach. It was rare for Tsunade to request personal reports unless there was something specific going on—something official.
“What’s that about?” Sakura asked the moment Kakashi was out of earshot.
(Y/N) scratched the back of her neck, looking uncharacteristically serious. “Probably nothing. Might just be a check-in with my village.”
Sakura’s stomach churned. “So
 they’re calling you back?”
(Y/N) shrugged, trying to play it off, but Sakura could see the uncertainty in her eyes. “Could be. It was part of the deal, right? Temporary exchange and all that.”
Sakura’s heart dropped. She knew this moment might come—the agreement between their villages had always been temporary. But now that it was looming over them, the thought of (Y/N) leaving felt like a weight pressing against her chest.
“What if they don’t give you a choice?” Sakura asked, her voice quieter than she intended.
For the first time, (Y/N) didn’t have an easy answer. She hesitated, her silver-blue eyes clouded with something unreadable. “Then
I guess I’ll have to decide what matters most.”
Later that evening, Sakura found herself standing in front of the Hokage’s Tower, nerves twisting in her gut. She knew it wasn’t her place to interfere, but the thought of (Y/N) leaving gnawed at her. She couldn’t just sit back and let it happen—not without a fight.
Before she could talk herself out of it, Sakura marched up the steps and into Tsunade’s office.
Inside, (Y/N) was already there, standing stiffly in front of Tsunade’s desk, her usual grin nowhere to be found. The tension in the room was palpable, and when both Tsunade and (Y/N) turned to look at her, Sakura swallowed hard.
“Sakura?” Tsunade raised an eyebrow, looking mildly annoyed. “Is there a reason you’re barging in on a private meeting?”
Sakura clenched her fists at her sides. “I need to say something. Please.”
Tsunade sighed but gestured for her to speak.
Sakura turned to (Y/N), her heart pounding in her chest. “I know this wasn’t supposed to be permanent. I know you were only sent here for a mission. But
I can’t let you leave without telling you how much you mean to me.”
(Y/N)’s eyes widened slightly, and for once, the usually cocky kunoichi was rendered speechless.
“I’ve spent my whole life feeling like I wasn’t enough,” Sakura continued, her voice cracking slightly. “I lost Sasuke, and for so long, I thought that was the only thing that mattered. But then you came into my life, and everything changed. You made me see that there’s more to life than chasing ghosts. You made me feel
 whole.”
Tsunade’s expression softened ever so slightly, but Sakura barely noticed—her entire world had narrowed down to (Y/N), standing just a few feet away with an unreadable look on her face.
“Stay,” Sakura whispered. “Please.”
For a moment, everything was silent. Then, slowly, (Y/N) stepped forward, closing the distance between them. She reached out and gently cupped Sakura’s face, her thumb brushing away a tear Sakura hadn’t realized she’d shed.
“Hey,” (Y/N) murmured, her voice low and tender. “You don’t have to convince me. I already made my choice.”
Sakura blinked, breath hitching as (Y/N) leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead.
“I’m staying,” (Y/N) whispered against her skin. “No matter what.”
By the time they left the Hokage’s office, the rain had started, a gentle drizzle that painted the streets in a soft shimmer.
They walked together in comfortable silence, the weight of the earlier conversation lifted, leaving only a quiet contentment between them. Sakura’s heart felt lighter than it had in years, and for the first time in a long time, the future didn’t seem so daunting.
As they reached the edge of the training grounds, (Y/N) suddenly grabbed Sakura’s hand, lacing their fingers together.
“You know,” (Y/N) said with a grin, “if I’m going to be stuck here, you’re going to have to keep up with me, princess.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but there was no heat behind it—only warmth. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it.”
Sakura smiled, squeezing (Y/N)’s hand as they continued walking through the rain.
“Yeah,” she said softly. “I really do.”
And for once, everything felt exactly as it should be.
———————-
The days following (Y/N)’s decision to stay in Konoha felt surreal—like a dream Sakura didn’t want to wake from. The two of them slipped into a rhythm, a delicate balance between their duties as shinobi and the quiet moments they shared when no one was watching. But beneath the surface of their growing relationship, Sakura couldn’t shake the nagging worry that things couldn’t stay this perfect forever.
After all, shinobi weren’t meant to have peaceful lives.
One evening, the two of them sat on a grassy hill overlooking Konoha, the village lights flickering like stars below. Sakura rested her head against (Y/N)’s shoulder, the warmth of her body keeping the chill of the autumn night at bay. They hadn’t spoken for a while—no words were needed—but Sakura knew (Y/N) was lost in thought. She could feel it in the way her fingers drummed rhythmically against the hilt of her sword, like she was working through something in her mind.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Sakura asked, her voice soft.
(Y/N) huffed a quiet laugh. “I was just thinking
 about my father.”
Sakura stiffened slightly, but she didn’t pull away. She knew this was a subject (Y/N) rarely touched—Kisame Hoshigaki, the infamous Monster of the Hidden Mist, wasn’t exactly an easy topic.
“I’ve spent my whole life being told who I’m supposed to be because of him,” (Y/N) continued, her voice quiet but steady. “It’s like
no one ever thought to ask me what I wanted. I think
that’s why I always kept moving. So no one could pin me down. So I wouldn’t have to face the question.”
Sakura lifted her head, her hand slipping into (Y/N)’s. “And what do you want now?”
(Y/N) looked down at their joined hands, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “I want this,” she whispered. “You. Here. Us.”
Sakura’s heart ached in the best way possible. She knew that for someone like (Y/N), admitting that she wanted to stay—choosing to stay—was no small thing. It was a leap of faith, just like their relationship.
“And what if someone from your past comes looking for you?” Sakura asked quietly, voicing the fear that had been gnawing at her since (Y/N) decided to stay.
(Y/N) gave her a lopsided grin, her shark-like teeth glinting in the moonlight. “Then they’ll have to go through you first, right?”
Sakura snorted, but the warmth in her chest didn’t fade. “Damn right.”
The next morning, Sakura found herself at the training grounds, stretching beneath the rising sun. She knew (Y/N) would meet her soon, but for now, she enjoyed the quiet moments alone.
Just as she finished tying her gloves, she felt a familiar presence approaching—a rush of cool air and the distinct scent of saltwater.
“You’re late,” Sakura called without turning around.
(Y/N) laughed as she stepped into view, her silver-blue eyes gleaming with mischief. “You’re just early, princess.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. She had gotten used to the teasing, even found it endearing in a way she never thought possible.
They spent the morning sparring, chakra flowing through their fists and water, each movement sharp and deliberate. They danced around each other like they had done this a thousand times—dodging, blocking, countering. But this time, it was different. It wasn’t just a fight—it was a conversation without words, a way to connect.
“Getting slow, Sakura!” (Y/N) taunted, narrowly dodging a powerful punch.
Sakura smirked. “Just waiting for you to slip up.”
And when (Y/N) did—just a brief misstep—Sakura surged forward, catching her off-guard. She tackled (Y/N) to the ground, pinning her beneath her with a grin.
“Gotcha,” Sakura whispered, her breath coming in short bursts.
(Y/N) stared up at her, wide-eyed and stunned for only a moment—before her grin returned, softer this time. “If this is how you’re gonna fight, I think I’ll start losing more often.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but she didn’t move. There was something about this moment—the closeness of their bodies, the way (Y/N) looked at her with such openness—that made her heart skip a beat.
(Y/N) lifted her hand and tucked a stray strand of Sakura’s hair behind her ear, her fingers lingering just a moment longer than necessary. “You’re beautiful, you know that?”
Sakura felt her cheeks flush, but she didn’t pull away. “You’re such an idiot,” she murmured, but there was no heat in her words—only affection.
(Y/N) leaned up slightly, her gaze flickering to Sakura’s lips. “Yeah, but I’m your idiot.”
And before Sakura could respond, (Y/N) closed the distance between them, capturing her lips in a kiss that was slow and deliberate—like she was savoring every second of it.
Sakura melted into the kiss, her hands gripping the front of (Y/N)’s shirt to keep herself grounded. It was everything she hadn’t realized she needed—gentle but intense, playful but sincere.
When they finally pulled away, Sakura rested her forehead against (Y/N)’s, both of them catching their breath.
“You’re staying with me forever, right?” Sakura whispered, her voice barely audible.
(Y/N) smiled, pressing a soft kiss to her temple. “Forever, princess. No matter what.”
But forever wasn’t something the shinobi world promised easily.
———————
A few days later, while on a routine mission to escort a merchant caravan, (Y/N) and Sakura found themselves ambushed by rogue shinobi—remnants of old alliances that should’ve died with the Akatsuki.
The fight was brutal. (Y/N) moved like a force of nature, her water jutsu slicing through enemies with terrifying precision. But no matter how skilled they were, they were outnumbered.
Sakura fought by her side, her fists glowing with chakra, but a creeping fear lodged itself in her chest—a fear that they wouldn’t make it out of this one.
At one point, (Y/N) caught Sakura’s wrist, her silver-blue eyes serious. “If it comes down to it, you run. Got it?”
Sakura’s heart clenched. “I’m not leaving you.”
(Y/N) gave her a small, sad smile. “I know. But I need you to promise me anyway.”
Sakura shook her head. “We’re both getting out of this. Together.”
And with that, they charged back into the fray—side by side, as they always had been.
No matter what.
The rogue shinobi were relentless, their numbers seemingly endless. The forest echoed with the clash of steel, the rush of water jutsu, and the sharp crack of Sakura’s chakra-infused punches. (Y/N) fought like she belonged to the sea—fluid, unpredictable, and merciless. She carved through the enemy ranks with deadly precision, her water blades shimmering under the flickering light of fire jutsu and moonlight filtering through the treetops.
But even a storm can falter against overwhelming odds.
Sakura’s breath came in ragged gasps, and exhaustion began to creep into her limbs. She knew (Y/N) was feeling it too—their movements becoming just a fraction slower, their reactions dulled. It wasn’t enough to get them killed yet, but it was a dangerous edge to teeter on.
Sakura threw a chakra-enhanced punch into the earth, causing a shockwave that sent several shinobi flying. But just as she turned to warn (Y/N) of another ambush, she saw it—the subtle flick of a kunai coated in poison, sailing toward (Y/N)’s blind spot.
“(Y/N)!” Sakura screamed, pushing off the ground without thinking.
She threw herself into (Y/N), knocking her off balance and taking the blade to her shoulder. Pain exploded through her, but Sakura gritted her teeth and shoved (Y/N) behind cover.
“Damn it, Sakura!” (Y/N) shouted, catching her as they stumbled behind a fallen tree. “What the hell were you thinking?”
Sakura hissed through clenched teeth as the poison burned through her veins, black tendrils of chakra creeping outward from the wound. “I told you,” she whispered, gripping (Y/N)’s arm, “we leave together. No matter what.”
(Y/N) stared at her, emotions flickering across her face—panic, anger, fear, and something deeper. “Stupid
beautiful idiot,” (Y/N) muttered under her breath as she knelt beside Sakura, tearing the sleeve of her shirt to inspect the wound.
“I’ve got you,” (Y/N) whispered, her voice steady even as her hands trembled slightly. She formed a series of hand seals, summoning a surge of water that glowed faintly as it surrounded Sakura’s shoulder, cleansing the poison.
Sakura winced but managed a weak smile. “You’ve been practicing.”
(Y/N) huffed out a laugh, her expression softening despite the chaos around them. “Had to keep up with you, didn’t I?”
The rogue shinobi regrouped for another attack, and Sakura knew they wouldn’t last much longer—not without backup. She could feel her strength waning, the poison only partially neutralized. But as (Y/N) helped her to her feet, something shifted inside her.
This wasn’t how their story would end. Not here. Not like this.
“We’re making a run for it,” (Y/N) said firmly, tightening her grip on Sakura’s hand. “I don’t care what it takes—we’re getting out of this together.”
Sakura nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. “Together.”
With a shared glance, they launched into motion—dodging, weaving, and fighting their way through the remaining shinobi. (Y/N)’s water jutsu cut a path through the enemy lines, and Sakura followed close behind, her fists a blur of chakra-powered strikes.
Just as they broke through the last line of attackers, a burst of chakra exploded behind them—a fire jutsu aimed directly at Sakura’s back.
(Y/N) reacted without thinking. She threw herself between Sakura and the flames, summoning a towering wall of water just in time to absorb the impact. But the force of the blast knocked them both to the ground, skidding across the forest floor.
When the dust settled, they were lying side by side, panting and bruised but alive. The rogue shinobi had fallen back, retreating into the shadows of the forest, leaving them in silence.
Sakura turned her head toward (Y/N), who lay sprawled beside her, her chest rising and falling with labored breaths. “We made it,” Sakura whispered, a disbelieving smile spreading across her face.
(Y/N) let out a weak laugh, her eyes gleaming with exhaustion and relief. “Told you, princess. No matter what.”
Sakura shifted closer, ignoring the ache in her body, and rested her head against (Y/N)’s shoulder. “You’re impossible,” she murmured, but there was no mistaking the affection in her voice.
(Y/N) wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer. “And you love me for it.”
Sakura smiled against her shoulder, feeling safe for the first time in what felt like forever. “Yeah,” she whispered, “I do.”
By the time they limped back to Konoha, the sun was rising, casting a warm glow over the village gates. They were met by a team of medics, but Sakura waved them off—her only focus was on making sure (Y/N) got the help she needed.
As they sat in the hospital room, (Y/N) resting beside her with bandages wrapped around her ribs, Sakura reached for her hand. She held it tightly, her thumb brushing over (Y/N)’s scarred knuckles.
“I almost lost you out there,” Sakura said quietly, her voice thick with emotion.
(Y/N) gave her a lopsided grin, even as her eyes drooped with exhaustion. “But you didn’t.”
Sakura leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to (Y/N)’s forehead. “And I never will.”
(Y/N) smiled, her hand tightening around Sakura’s. “Forever, right?”
Sakura kissed her again, this time on the lips—slow and tender, a promise wrapped in warmth. “Forever.”
As they lay together, tangled in each other’s warmth and the soft glow of the morning light, Sakura knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them side by side.
Because they were each other’s safe harbor.
Bonus Chapter:
Ino – “Wait, What?!” (Early Stage)
Ino leaned on the counter of the Yamanaka Flower Shop, idly picking petals from a chrysanthemum. The sun filtered through the windows, and she was just starting to get bored when the bell above the door jingled.
To her delight, Sakura strolled in, looking
different. It wasn’t her usual “I’m here to buy apology flowers for my team” look. Sakura’s eyes had a distinct softness, and her lips were curved in a way that made Ino narrow her eyes in suspicion.
“So,” Ino began slyly, setting the flowers aside, “who is it?”
Sakura froze in place, her face turning a suspicious shade of pink. “What are you talking about?” she muttered, grabbing a random bouquet from the shelf to avoid Ino’s knowing gaze.
“Oh, come on.” Ino leaned closer, her grin widening. “I know that look. You’ve got it bad for someone. Spill!”
Sakura hesitated for a moment, chewing on her bottom lip. “It’s
 (Y/N).”
Ino blinked, tilting her head. “Wait. (Y/N) Hoshigaki?” she asked, as if the name hadn’t fully registered.
Sakura gave a small, nervous nod.
It took a second for the pieces to click, but when they did, Ino practically gasped. “Kisame’s daughter?! Shark Girl?!” She grabbed Sakura’s shoulders, shaking her lightly. “You’re dating her?”
Sakura swatted Ino’s hands away, her blush deepening. “Keep your voice down, will you?”
Ino couldn’t help herself—she burst into laughter. “Sakura, I swear you have the weirdest taste in people. First Sasuke, now a rogue shinobi’s kid? But—” she grinned, nudging Sakura with her elbow, “—I gotta admit, she is kinda cool.”
Sakura rolled her eyes, but the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her annoyance.
Kakashi – “I Didn’t See This Coming” (Mid-Stage)
Kakashi stood on the bridge, watching as Sakura and (Y/N) walked toward him, side by side. They weren’t holding hands, but there was an ease between them—a quiet kind of closeness Kakashi had come to recognize in couples.
He knew something was different the moment (Y/N) had joined their team through the exchange program. At first, Sakura had been stiff and resentful, but now
there was an unmistakable shift in their dynamic.
“You’re late,” Kakashi called lazily as they approached.
“Blame her,” (Y/N) said with a smirk, jerking her thumb toward Sakura. “She insisted on stopping for dango.”
Sakura glared at her, but there was no real heat in it. “You wanted the dango too!”
Kakashi’s visible eye crinkled with amusement. “I’m just surprised. It’s rare to see you two not at each other’s throats.”
(Y/N) grinned, baring her shark-like teeth. “What can I say? She’s grown on me.”
Sakura shot her a look, her cheeks pink, but (Y/N) just chuckled. Kakashi noted the way Sakura’s expression softened when she looked at (Y/N)—a softness Kakashi hadn’t seen since she was a child.
He tucked his hands into his pockets, feeling a rare sense of contentment. “Well, this is new,” he thought. But he didn’t say it aloud. He’d seen enough of life to know that relationships were complicated—and that sometimes, the unexpected ones were the most meaningful.
Naruto – “You’re WHAT?!” (Late Stage)
Naruto almost choked on his ramen. “You’re moving in together?!”
Sakura glared at him from across the table, her arms crossed. “Do you have to be so loud about it?”
Naruto wiped his mouth with his sleeve, still looking as if she’d just told him she was moving to another dimension. “But—But Sakura-chan!” he sputtered. “Are you really sure about this? I mean, she’s—she’s a Hoshigaki! And she has shark teeth!”
“Thanks for noticing, Naruto,” (Y/N) said dryly, appearing beside Sakura with two bottles of soda in hand. She plopped down next to her, draping an arm lazily over the back of Sakura’s chair. “They’re my best feature.”
Naruto blinked between them, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. “I just
 I mean
 when did this even happen?!”
Sakura sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Naruto, it’s been months.”
Naruto still looked dumbfounded, but there was no mistaking the hint of protectiveness in his voice. “You better not hurt her, Hoshigaki. I mean it.”
(Y/N) raised a brow, then gave Naruto a slow, playful grin. “Relax, Uzumaki. I’m not going anywhere. She’s stuck with me.”
Sakura smirked, nudging (Y/N) lightly. “Who says I’m stuck with you?”
Naruto groaned, slumping forward over his bowl. “Great. Now you’re both ganging up on me.”
Tsunade – “So You’re Staying, Huh?” (Final Stage)
Tsunade sat behind her desk, arms folded, as she eyed (Y/N) from across the room. Sakura stood beside her, looking more composed than usual—as she had already made peace with whatever decision (Y/N) had come to.
“So,” Tsunade said slowly, “you’ve decided to stay in Konoha permanently?”
(Y/N) met the Hokage’s gaze without flinching. “Yeah. I have.”
Tsunade leaned back in her chair, her sharp eyes narrowing slightly. “And you’re sure you won’t regret leaving everything behind? Your old life?”
(Y/N) gave a small, almost imperceptible shrug. “I wasn’t really living before, just
existing.” She glanced at Sakura, her expression softening. “I found something here worth staying for.”
Sakura smiled quietly, a rare, genuine smile that Tsunade didn’t often see.
Tsunade sighed, rubbing her temples. “I guess I should’ve seen this coming.”
(Y/N) grinned, her shark teeth flashing. “I tend to surprise people.”
Tsunade huffed a laugh, though it was mostly exasperation. “Well, just don’t cause me any trouble, got it? The last thing I need is another Hoshigaki making my life harder.”
“No promises,” (Y/N) said with a wink.
Sakura groaned. “Why did I fall for such a pain?”
“Because you like challenges,” (Y/N) shot back smoothly, bumping Sakura’s shoulder.
Tsunade rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide the hint of a smile tugging at her lips. “Get out of my office, both of you, before I change my mind about all this.”
Sakura and (Y/N) exchanged a glance, then laughed as they left the room hand in hand, their footsteps echoing down the hall.
Tsunade shook her head, a wry smile on her face. “Well, I’ll be damned,” she muttered. “Didn’t think I’d see the day.”
And somehow, she felt that maybe—just maybe—Konoha was better off with the two of them in it.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
“Y/n!”
Sasuke jerked himself free from Kiyoshi’s jaws the minute her grip slackened. He tore down the hall, sliding onto his knees next to your unconscious body.
“Y/n. Onee-san, wake up. Come on, please.”
His pleas were soft. Broken.
He was dimly aware of Naruto kneeling beside him, but the only thing he could focus on was you.
Your eyes had been open only moments ago, pupils dilated with a strange horror that Sasuke had never seen in them before. Itachi had fled like a coward, leaving your broken form crumpled on the floor beneath his feet.
The image of his parents’ dead bodies flashed through his head. Had he let it happen again? Had he allowed Itachi to destroy the only person he had left?
Sasuke leaned his ear against your chest. A twinge of relief traveled through him when he began to hear the measured thump of your heartbeat.
Still, you made no acknowledgement that you heard his voice.
Sasuke didn’t understand it. You were strong, one of the best kunoichi of your time before you had given up your ANBU position to raise him.
All it had taken for Itachi to break you was a single look. What had he done? Why wouldn’t you wake up?
“Please,” he whispered. “Onee-san, open your eyes.”
“It’s no use, cub,” Kiyoshi murmured.
Sasuke’s dark eyes shot up, fixing the tiger with a sharp glare. “Shut up! You don’t know that!”
The tigress bared her teeth at him. “A genjutsu like this is not easily broken. You have no idea the abilities Itachi possesses. She did, and she took the brunt of them for you.”
“There has to be something-”
“There is nothing, stupid boy! If you had just obeyed her-”
Jiraiya cleared his throat. “Now is not the time, Kiyoshi. I know Y/n is dear to you.”
Naruto’s wide blue eyes darted between the two of them. “Is she going to be okay?”
Kiyoshi bowed her head, fixing her sharp eyes back on your limp body.
“She needs a healer.”
“You’re right,” Jiraiya agreed. “And the woman you’re talking about is the one we’ve come to find.”
—
Inky, black feathers littered the window sill outside your hospital room. Itachi’s crow remained fixed on the ledge of the building, keeping a near constant vigil.
Sometimes, the shades were drawn and it was unable to catch sight of you. On other days, it would watch you lie there, carefully observing the slow rise and fall of your chest.
Nurses and medics would bustle in and out of your room to tend to you, changing the bags on your I.V. and performing medical checks that yielded no results.
You didn’t wake. You didn’t move.
Sasuke was there multiple times a day. He would stop in before he began training and return hours later. Sometimes he even brought along his pink-haired teammate, Sakura. The girl always brought flowers for you.
Kiyoshi was there too, from time to time. She would curl up at the foot of your bed, as if guarding you, much to the dismay of your nurses. Itachi saw one nearly pass out as she entered the room and saw the tigress lounging on the tile.
When he was alone, Sasuke would speak to you. Always when he thought no one else could hear him.
“Please, onee-san,” he would whisper. “Just wake up. I swear I’ll get stronger. I swear I’ll learn how to protect you.”
Itachi couldn’t stomach the sight for too long. You laid there, limp and broken, because of what he had done to you.
The memory of your face as he trapped you in the genjutsu twisted like a knife inside his chest. Your expression of abject horror would be ingrained in his mind forever.
And you accepted his brutality so willingly. You had barely even tried to fight back. You were as reluctant to hurt him as he was you, and, yet, Itachi was the monster that had gone through with it.
It hadn’t been that long ago that he was the one who protected you. How many times had he saved your life? How many times had you woken, shaking from a nightmare, and sought comfort in the warmth of his arms?
Maybe it had been a mistake to reveal the truth to you, to entangle you further in the mess he created. He had encouraged you to put your faith in him again, only to snap it into pieces once more.
He should have allowed you to believe that he massacred his family for the thrill of it. He should never have given any indication that you were still etched into his wretched heart, giving it reason to beat day after day.
He had selfishly, foolishly wished that he could become your hero again. Your Itachi. Not the pride of the Uchiha, shouldering the weight of his entire bloodline's fate upon his shoulders. Not the clan-killer who destroyed his entire family.
Just Itachi.
That was always who he had been to you. He showed you a side of himself that hardly anyone else had ever seen, and it had only made you fall deeper in love with him. He wasn’t sure how he had ever managed that in the first place. He hadn’t deserved it then and he certainly didn’t now.
The soft tranquility of the early years of your relationship was a distant dream. You had confessed that you still loved him in that cabin, but surely those feelings were dead now.
Itachi hoped he would become nothing more than a ghost to you. A passing thought, a distant nightmare.
He could still watch over you, ensuring your safety, always from a distance. He would catch precious, fleeting glimpses of you before Sasuke eventually came calling and killed him. That was all he would allow. He had to spare you from the utter devastation he continued to leave in his wake.
He could never come that close to you again.
—
The agony of Itachi’s tsukuyomi eventually gave way to vivid dreams. They came in short flashes, and were always of him, in one way or another.
You ghosted though the memories, feeling every touch as if you were living it once more.
Was this a side effect of the genjutsu? Had Itachi given you these dreams, or were they your mind’s attempt at comfort after enduring such a painful ordeal?
Every sensation felt so real, so genuine. You let yourself tumble through the darkness and into a bright haze, falling further from the sharp, searing pain you had suffered at his hands.
—
The sudden warmth of Itachi’s calloused fingers cradling your face was jarring. You blinked awake to meet his worried gaze.
The thin sheets and stark, white curtains surrounding the bed told you that you were in the ANBU infirmary. You had nearly died after creating a diversion so that an injured Yugao and Shisui could flee to safety.
The last thing you remembered was being beaten to a bloody pulp on the forest floor. Your head was pounding, vision fading as you began to sink toward the darkness. You were pretty sure a couple of your teeth were resting in the grass next to your cheek.
You focused on the sharp white color, stained with flecks of crimson, and held onto it in an attempt to remain conscious.
Suddenly, a flaming, red pulse of light overtook the looming darkness. The force of it caused your hair to flutter around your face.
Itachi stood before you, engulfed in the glow of his susanoo. The physical manifestation of his chakra towered over your broken body, shielding you, as the group of Hidden Mist ninja advanced. He proceeded to cut through them as if they were made of paper.
That was the last thing you remembered before finally blacking out.
“Reckless, foolish girl,” Itachi muttered.
He peered down at you from where he sat at your bedside. The infirmary was blanketed in a hushed quiet. You could hear his chair creak as he leaned forward, meeting your tired gaze.
He sounded angry, but his eyes were glinting with anguish. He likely thought your decision was careless, stupid. Just the type of thing you would do.
Your entire body ached. The heavy cast on your left leg told you it was broken, and all you wanted was to sink back into the fog of sleep. You didn’t think you could stomach one of Itachi’s lectures right now.
You opened your mouth, ready to bite out that you weren’t a genius like him, that you didn’t have time to come up with some brilliant strategy to save the others and your own skin. You made the only move you could, and you didn’t regret it.
That was when he leaned down, pressing his lips to the center of your forehead. He lingered there for a moment, hand resting on the back of your head as he hovered over you.
He leaned in to rest his forehead gently against yours. His scent washed over you, woody and familiar. Pine, mixed with a tinge of sweat and blood from the battle.
“I thought I was going to lose you.”
—
When you opened your eyes again, you were lying in the cool grass of a seemingly endless field. You were somewhere in Iwa, gazing up at the stars above you.
A cool wind rustled across the wide, open landscape, but Itachi’s side was nestled warmly against yours.
Shisui snored loudly somewhere behind you. You should have been sleeping, like he was. Itachi had kindly offered to take the first watch, but you found yourself not wanting to leave your place beside him.
He spoke softly as he pointed out the different constellations overheard. They littered the sky in a glittering display, free of the light pollution of the city.
“And there’s Mitsu Boshi.”
“Where?”
He pointed. “There.”
“On the right?”
You lifted your own finger. Itachi’s lips twitched. He reached out, guiding your hand slightly to the left.
“There. Do you see it?”
“Oh, yeah. Pretty.”
“Very.”
Itachi was no longer looking at the constellation, but at you. His fingers were still grazing yours. He didn’t pull them away.
You glanced over at him, meeting his dark eyes. Everything but the two of you seemed to fade away. Even Shisui’s snoring was a distant buzz in the background.
You flushed under the heat of Itachi’s gaze and hoped he wouldn’t be able to see it much in the dark. He always looked at you like you were something beautiful. Something to be revered.
When he leaned in and gently pressed his lips to yours, that was exactly how you felt.
Special.
Loved.
—
You were suddenly breathless under him as Itachi thrust inside you, pressing soft, wet kisses along your jaw. His lips dipped against the hollow of your throat. His usually pale skin was hot and flushed, dark eyes shimmering with a vulnerability you had never seen in them before. He was completely lost in the feel of you, of your thighs locked around his toned hips, of your calloused fingers tugging and tangling in his long, dark hair.
He relished each whimper he pulled from your lips, every single gasp of his name. You were so wet for him, so sweet. You took his cock so well.
He mumbled the praises against the skin of your neck, slick with sweat as you bucked your hips against his. His teeth sunk into his lower lip, muffling the sound of his own deep groan as your walls fluttered around him.
His hands fisted in the sheets underneath you, twisting, squeezing. You pulled him closer, ankles locking around his back as you tugged him down into another kiss.
His last shred of control slipped as he slammed his lips against your own. His teeth clicked against yours, eagerly slipping his tongue into your mouth.
Itachi was everywhere, his body entirely intertwined with yours. You were completely enveloped in him and you never wanted it to stop.
His thumb came down to rub soft, measured circles on your clit. Heat pooled in your lower abdomen.
Another whimper slipped from you, muffled by the intensity of Itachi’s kiss.
He leaned up on his forearms to admire the fucked-out look on your face, still caging your body under his, still hitting that perfect spot inside you.
His thrusts became quicker, shallower, as he neared his limit.
“I love you,” he breathed against your lips. “I love you, Y/n.”
I love you. I love you. I love you.
—
You woke with a gasp, bolting upright so quickly that you almost headbutted the young, blonde woman leaning over you.
She pulled back, studying you with honeyed brown eyes and a frown on her face. Her hand came to rest on her hip.
“Easy, kid. You’ll be alright.”
Kid? She couldn’t have been but a few years older than you.
She and a crowd of other people were huddled at the side of your bed. Sasuke was there, along with Naruto, and another woman with short, dark hair that you didn’t recognize. Gai was also there for some reason, anxiously wringing his hands together.
“Granny Tsunade!” Naruto cried, tugging at the sleeve of the blonde woman’s shawl. “We’ve still gotta fix Kakashi-sensei!”
Tsunade? Her words made sense to you then. This was the Lady Tsunade, one of the legendary Sannin. She was renowned in the Hidden Leaf for her monstrous strength and her incredible healing abilities.
She may have looked young, but she was actually in her fifties.
“My lady,” you breathed, bowing to her.
She waved you off. “Relax. I should be bowing to you, after what you did.”
You sat up, brow furrowing. “What I did?”
“You threw yourself in front of Itachi Uchiha for a kid. Either you’re incredibly brave, or really, really stupid.”
She turned and strode toward the door, heels clicking on the tiled floor. The others followed close behind, but Sasuke remained.
Naruto paused in the doorway, glancing back at him. “Sasuke? Are you gonna come see Kakashi-sensei?”
“You can go if you want,” you told him gently.
He frowned. “I’m good here.”
Naruto shrugged and took off down the hall with the others, allowing the door to slide shut behind him. Sasuke hovered in the silence for a moment, before he sank into a chair beside your bed, fixing his eyes on the floor.
“I think one of the Sannin just called me an idiot.”
“You are an idiot,” he muttered.
Your lips curled up. With Sasuke, there was no such thing as a simple admission of affection. He was never going to say “I love you.”. This was about as close as you would ever get, and that was enough for you.
You settled back into the pillows, shifting awkwardly due to the sling on your arm.
“I’m sorry that I scared you, Sasuke.”
 “I couldn’t protect you.”
You shook your head, reaching out to place your good hand on his mop of black hair. “You’re the kid. I’m the adult. I do the protecting, not the other way around.”
He shoved your hand away and glowered. “We should protect each other.”
“And one day, we will. But for now, your job is to get stronger. Let me protect you until then.”
His dark eyes remained trained on the floor. For a few moments, he was silent. When he finally did speak, his words were dripping with venom.
“I’ll kill him for what he did to you.”
Dread washed over you. You had feared that Itachi’s return would trigger something in Sasuke. It was partially why you tried so hard to keep him in the compound that day, to avoid any and all interaction.
It was clear that he had been struggling with feelings of inadequacy since the chunin exams. You found out what happened in the final battle from Kakashi. Naruto had saved Sakura from the Suna jinchuriki as Sasuke struggled under the strain of the curse mark. He hadn’t been able to help much.
You knew how weak he must have felt. How useless.
And then he had watched Itachi break your bones and mind right in front of him.
“Sasuke, I’m fine,” you promised. “I’ve had much worse.”
While your broken wrist would keep you off missions, and the mental anguish of the tsukuyomi had been intense, you were okay. You would be discharged shortly, not even in half the amount of pain you had been in when you nearly died at the hands of the Hidden Rain shinobi. You were stiff and a little sore, but this was hardly the worst injury of your career.
“It’s not just that,” Sasuke snapped.“Itachi took your life from you. Now you’re stuck with me, instead of being some badass, legendary kunoichi.”
“Hey,” you said sharply. “I’m not stuck with anything. I don’t see it that way at all.”
“Still-“
“No.” Your voice was stern. There was no room for argument, not this time. “Sasuke, I get to live this life with you, and that’s a choice I would make a thousand times over. I’ve never regretted it, and I never will.”
He looked up at you then, eyes watering. “I thought I lost you.”
A bitter pang of nostalgia rang through your hollow chest. It was similar to what Itachi had said to you the day he rescued you from that group of Mist ninja.
You took a deep breath and fixed Sasuke with a steely, determined look. It reminded him of the one you gave him that day in the compound, after you scooped his trembling body from the dirt.
You have me. You’ll always have me.
 “I’m not going anywhere.”
Sasuke suddenly leapt forward, catching you off guard. He threw his arms around you, burying his face in the crook of your neck. You brought your hand up to his back, rubbing soft circles as he clung to you.
Tears dripped down his cheeks, falling silently onto your sweater. You closed your eyes, burying your face in his choppy hair, and held him while he cried.
No matter what happened with Itachi, Sasuke was your little brother. You made that choice all those years ago when you found him, surrounded by the bodies of his family.
You had come to learn that sometimes that was more important. You loved Sasuke, not because you needed to, but because you chose to. That meant more to you than any insignificant blood tie you still held to anyone else. It meant more than the isolation and pain you had experienced at Itachi's hand.
It meant everything.
