Y/N was out with her dog, going on a nice stroll down lakeshore dr in Chicago.

You enjoyed daily walks like these in the city, especially with your special companion Husky dog “Oscar”.

Liu Kang gifted you him, so you wouldn’t feel alone he’s handling business as earthrealm protector. You’re not going to lie, you did miss your lover.

Sometimes he’s either gone for days, weeks… Even months, but when does come to spend time with you. He definitely make those days count and worth it, and makes up lost time when he was gone.

You tied your hair in a messy bun, plugging in your AirPods. Listening to “Level Up” by Ciara. You continued walking with Oscar.

As you were strolling further down, you felt a strong wind. Not just you but everyone else. You looked up with wide eyes, noticing a big portal opened, taking out your headphones. Revealing Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.

“There’s Liu Kang pet.” He looked dead at you, and you began sprinting with your dog.

Although you didn’t get far as Quan chi used his magic stopping you in place. Pulling you towards them, holding on to your dog. But both of you still got pulled in the portal as you screamed.

Shang Tsung and Quan chi following after. Closing the portal behind them.

Liu Kang was with Queen Mileena and the other protectors, discussing a plan concerning Shang Tsung.

As they were talking a portal opened up revealing Quan Chi. Everyone noticed him and went straight into a fight stance. Kitana had her fan near his throat.

“I would not do that if I were you.” Quan chi advised unfazed.

“You dare trespass in our kingdom, expecting us to let you live.” Kitana growled at him.

“That’s if you wish for this young woman to go unharmed.”

He revealed a mirror through a portal, showing a bruised and stripped down Y/N. You were technically almost naked, as your clothes were torn.

Your dog was chained up barking at Shang Tsung. Quan closed the mirror portal, smirking at a now furious Liu Kang. Who stepped forward in front of everyone, Kitana stepped back dropping her fan.

She has never seen him so angry, but she was just as upset has they had just taking Y/N there dearest friend. Shang Tsung was literally a serpant.

“She was a feisty one alright, she definitely put up a good fight. What delicious sounds she make, as she whined and be-“ Quan Chi was cut off, as his throat was in a a death grip by Liu Kang. Cutting off the circulation.

“You both will regret laying a finger on Y/N! If it’s a fight with a god he wants, then a fight he will get.” Liu Kangs eyes glowed harder from anger.

You sat up groaning in pain, you looked up at Shang Tsung who was standing next to you.

“I can’t wait… to see… Liu Kang tear that ass up!” You cracked up with a bloody mouth. Your hair was mess, the humidity and sweat made it frizz up. Sitting on your face.

Shang Tsung only smirked at you, before gripping her face. “We shall see.”

You spit blood in his face, he looked at you with disgust. Wiping his face, before back handing you.

“Disgusting mortal. You know nothing of etiquette.”

You hated this nigga with a passion, so you might have a little fun with it, “You the dirty motherfucker… creepy ugly ass nigga…” you spoke in breaths, spitting blood trying to stay awake.

“You and your tired out ballerina shoes. Why don’t you slip into something more comfortable like a Coma. You and yo cracked ass side kick…Voldemort looking ass.”

You began cackling, through coughs. Shang Tsung was clearly getting agitated with you. “I suggest you be quiet, if you wish to live.”

“I suggest you stop being a pussy… and stop acting like a bitch!”

“SHUT UP!” Shang Tsung, faced you. Then he felt a carcass at his feet. It was a charred Quan Chi. Liu Kang stepped up, with a dead bloody person in his hand. Gripped by the neck, he turned to you. Seeing you put on a brave face for him.

He gave you a warm smile, then turned his attention to your kidnapper. An expression you ain’t never seen before.

“Ooh you in trouble.” You laughed in pain before falling into darkness. Now that your lover was there, the last thing you saw, was Shang Tsung getting shit beat out of him.

Liu Kang beating his face in, making him almost unrecognizable. Grabbing him by the throat, picking him up.

“You should’ve never brought me back.” Shang Tsung.

“I will never regret showing mercy.” Liu Kang formed a portal in space bringing him out there with him.

“But you’ll regret not taking it!” Liu Kang snapped his fingers creating a black hole. Holding Shang Tsung tight, as it sucked his flesh, blood, and bones in the hole.

Liu Kang came back to tend to you, already seeing Kitana and Johnny next to you. Liu Kang put his hands under your legs and arms, carrying you bridal style.

“We must bring her home and attend to her at once.” Liu Kang told them.

You were slowly regaining consciousness, you looked around and realized you were back in your apartment, in your room.

You slowly sat up grunting in pain, leaning against the headboard. Oscar rose up from the side of the bed hearing you. He started licking your face.

“Hahaha, down boy. I’m alright.”

“I’m glad you are feeling alright.” Liu Kang stepped from the balcony, sitting on the edge of the bed.

You teared up, happy. Going in hugging his waist, despite your pain as you were bandaged up. Liu Kang returned the hug, holding you close as if you would disappear.

“If I’m being honest I was sorta scared… worried that you wouldn’t come or if they might hurt you and everyone because of me… I’m sorry.” Your tears started falling.

You would hate to have been the reason someone died because of you. Liu Kang expression was soft, he caressed your face kissing it, then your teary eye.

“You do not have to apologize, I would have came to you no matter what was happening. I would have still made it to you… And no outworlder or earthrealmer could stop me… You are my world Y/N.”

Both of your foreheads touched, eyes closed. Happy that both are safe in each others arms. He then captured your lips, with desperation. Despite him being the god of fire, he was terrified what they did and if he would lose his only star in the galaxy.

You broke the kiss to catch your breath, “What happened to Shang Tsung?” You looked in his eyes.

“He beat that fucker out of existence.”

You both turned to see Johnny leaning against your door. “You should’ve heard his killer one liner, literal chills man.”

Liu Kang smirked shaking his head, you blushed giggling

“I bet.” You said before kissing your lover again, pulling him down in the bed with you. Which was Johnny’s cue to leave.

Now Y/N was not in that department or category. No you were just a normal black woman, working as a hairstylist at hair shop.

You only knew about this, because one of the customers were the champion. Johnny Cage himself, who requested you to style him up personally. Because it was said around Hollywood that you were skillful with women and men hair.

You took him in and he loved it, and you all became friends ever sense. With the constant offer of Johnny asking you to be hired as his personal hairstylist. Which you declined respectfully.

You enjoy working at the shop with your girlfriends and doing things for smaller clients.

“AMEN to that sis.” Tonya shouted as she was finishing cleaning.

More of the workers started coming in, pre uniform on.

“This is Raiden, Kung Lao, and Liu Kang.” Johnny introduced them, they bowed to you. Kung Lao shook your hand.

“I’m not sure if you could like do something to cut down my hair a bit. It’s grown quite a bit.” Kung Lao took off his hat.

“Hmm, that is something Sugar, I don’t really work in that specific field.” You told him.

“I can take you right here my man.” Your boy Malcolm offered his services, which Kung Lao happily accepted.

“Don’t worry, he’s really good.” You confirmed to him, “Now were any of you getting anything done, that’s not getting like haircut kinda fades and whatnot?” You asked, looking at them. Then focused your attention back on Liu Kang.

Who caught it as soon as you looked, he gave you a kind smile. You got flustered a bit, having butterflies in your stomach. Quickly looking away.

“Actually yeah, Liu Kang needs his Princess locs trimmed and a touch up from yours truly, as well.” Johnny told you.

“I am alright Johnny Cage, I do not need it. I would hate to bother this lovely lady into doing my hair.” Liu Kang spoke up.

“Nonsense honey, it’s our job. That’s how we make a living, I can take y-“

“WAIT!” You interrupted Jamika, a little too loudly.

“Hehe, sorry. Can I speak to you really quick. It’ll only be a moment Mr. Liu Kang.” You smirked nervously.

“Just Liu Kang is fine.” He smiled at you.

You quickly dragged Jamika and Johnny away to the backrooms.

“Girl what is up with you today?” Jamika asked frustrated.

“Is something wrong?” Johnny added.

But Jamika caught it and noticed how you acting fucking weird and shy all of a sudden. Which was not you, then it hit her like a rock.

Clearly Malcolm expressing his love for Martial arts, freezing from doing the hair showing off what he thought were moves.

You just smiled shaking your head at him, you sat Liu Kang in your chair. You asked him he can remove his head wear, which he happily obliged.

Rubbing your fingers in his hair, more so to ruffle through to see what you’re working with. His hair was soft but corse, feels like it hasn’t been properly conditioned.

“So how long has it been sense you had your hair done?” You asked nicely.

“It has… been a minute, is something the matter Ms. Y/N”

“Just Y/N is fine Liu Kang. And no, I just like to know my clients hair and if they prepped before hand. Don’t worry sweetheart, you are in good hands. I’m a give you the special hair wash and conditioning treatment.” You told him excitedly.

You brought him to the hair wash station, and begun getting to work on washing and messaging his hair. Which you could tell he was loving, with his eyes closed and satisfied sounds.

You were really feeling yourself, for actually doing good for the god of fire. As Johnny told you what he was. Even though this is your first time meeting him, Johnny already told you about all his friends. With him telling his story, and Liu Kang was the main one that intrigued you the most.

“Alright.” You began trimming the dead hair and split ends. So it doesn’t damage his hair

“Damn already!” Tonya and Jamika chimed in unison.

That made you slightly freeze, getting ‘Ooohs’ from everyone in the shop. Liu Kang wasn’t easily fazed as you were by other people’s antics. Being friends with Johnny helps you to survive and tolerate it.

Tonya goofy ass being extra as always, over what he said. Y/N hates how she does the most, and it only gets worse.

“Thank you.” You said shyly, as you continued his hair. You finished and gave Liu Kang a mirror to see it.

He looked at it, and was happy how it turned out and thanked you. He asked you how much it cost and you told him that it was on the house.

“That is very kind of you Y/N but I couldn’t. You have given me a wonderful service, I do not want to just take it for free.” Liu Kang was not going to take your generosity and not give anything in return.

“Well… If you really want to show your appreciation. How about you treat me to a meal, that’s my final offer.” Y/N smirked at him, and she could’ve sworn she had butterflies in her stomach. Because that goddamn smile of his was killing her.

“Are you asking me out Y/N?” Liu Kang asked Y/N he appreciates her boldness.

“Well that depends Liu Kang, will you accept the offer?”

“Of Course.”

“Then yes I am asking you out.” You finally spoke up openly. You can hear your girls screaming and cheering you on.

“I am busy this week.” Liu Kang informed you.

“Then how about next week on Saturday, I’m off that day. 5 o clock, I know this good Chinese restaurant. It’s super popular.” You suggested smiling.

“That can be arranged. Thank you again Y/N, I must head back. It was an honor meeting you all.”

“Right back at you daddy!” As soon as Tonya said that. Jamika threw a wig brush at her. Gaining an ‘Ouch’ from Tonya holding her head.

Everyone was telling them bye, “Ayy it was nice talking to you dogg. I would love it, if y’all can give me a few pointers. Teach me some stuff ya know?”

“Of course, we’re always open for those who want to learn. We will stay in touch.” Kung Lao told him. They clapped hands, Malcolm pulling him into a bro hug.

Kung Lao thanked him again for fixing him up nicely. Before they left you called out to Liu Kang asking him how are you supposed to contact him.

With that they were gone, it was a moment of silence before one old client spoke waiting in the chair.

“So ain’t nobody gonna say anything about the nigga with the glowing eyes?”

“Really!? I thought those were just contacts.” Tonya looked shocked.

“You is one slow ass child, I tell you the truth.” Fredrick shaking his head.

You felt like a weight has been lifted off your chest and you slumped in your chair. But now you were very much excited about your upcoming date.

“Gone head girl, get you some of that Kung Pao Chicken.” Jamika snapped her fingers three times. You rolled your eyes, you turned around and looked at yourself in the mirror.

You saw your new growth coming through and need your locs retwist and styled.

“Jamika could you touch up my hair for next week.”

Jamika nodded, and you were hoping this date goes well and praying it does. It felt like God was giving you another chance at romance.

Today was the date, you were going on your date with the god of fire. You’re not gonna lie, you were very nervous.

You jumped out of the shower, you made sure the shower cap was still on your head. You didn’t want the locs to get wet, you were thankful for Jamika.

Your phone buzzed on the dresser, you quickly grabbed it. Open your messages on your iPhone

Liu Kang was looking out the window, but then back at you. When you called his name, “Is something the matter?”

“Hmm, oh nothing is wrong. I just thought I saw someone.”

“I’m sorry I’m probably talking to much for you.” You told him sinking slightly in your seat.

He grabbed your hand and gripped it tightly, “I could never get tired of hearing you talk. It is like music to my ears, I enjoy listening to you talk and hearing more about you.”

You smiled and then something came to your mind, “You know, I already know like what you are… and what you do, because of Johnny… Like could you tell me something that maybe… all realms don’t know about you, like on a personal level… It’s alright if it’s to personal.”

“No, I don’t mind telling and I kind of figure Johnny told you or more so knew he was going to tell you.”

“Yeah! Johnny told me you can see the future or something like that… WAIT! Did you already know who I am and that we were going to have this date!?”

“Know you yes, but knew the outcome of todays events no. I do not have that kind of power, I let everyone chose there own fate and lead there own path. I only knew Cage told you, because of how Kenshin calls it. He is a chatterbox and has a loose tongue.”

You chuckled at that, Liu Kang smiled at you. “So because of what you are and this god of fire duty shit… You don’t have time for things like these… The little things in the world you created.”

“No, as I must stay alert and make sure earthrealm is safe and protected. In case of another threat arises.” Liu Kang explained.

You nodded understanding, doesn’t that mean having a relationship with you is pointless. “So why even go on this date with me… You already know I like you and… Maybe have a relationship with you… Why the effort, when you have your duties.” You looked at him with sad eyes.

He still kept that same smile on his face, “I felt like this time is different from before… So I want to take the chance given to me, besides… Who could resist someone as charming as you Y/N.”

Y/N began snorkeling a bit, covering her face“Nice one Kang!” Johnny shouted on instinct, the girls pulling him back down. Liu and Y/N looked towards the window where the sound came from.

“I could’ve sworn I heard Johnny.” You looked around curious. Ms. Sung came back with you and Liu Kang’a order.

As you both were enjoying your meal, two men who clearly look like they had an attitude problem came in demanding a seat.

“Hey lady, hurry up and seat us.” One of the men said.

“You will have to give me a few moments sir.” she was coming to you and Liu Kang on your refills.

The man smacked the glass out of her hands, knocking her down. Making her fall. You noticed this and approached the scene.

“You fucking serve us first when we tell you to Bitch!”

“Hey!” You shouted to the two men.

“Go mind your business little girl!” The man said not paying you no attention.

“I don’t know who the hell you talking to but I ain’t no damn little girl. And she is my business, because those were me and my dates drink you knocked down.”

One of the men approached you, you didn’t flinch one bit and stood your ground.

“What you gonna do? You gonna fucking cry about it darky?”

He ain’t never just called you ‘Darky’. Without thinking, you gave him a strong ass right hook. Knocking him down on his but, nose and mouth bleeding.

Everyone looked at you in shock, your friends and Liu Kang watched impressed.

“I got a name Motherfucker! And it is Y/N L/N you better remember Bitch I’m from the side. Where Niggas like you better watch who you talking to! Now apologize to this young waitress!”

“THAT’S MY BEST FRIEND!” Jamika and Tonya shouted from the window.

You turned around noticing your friends, the other man standing saw your guard down. He quickly grabbed a dagger from his pocket, and charged at you.

“MISS LOOK OUT!” Ms. Sung warned you.

You turned to late, but before he could hurt you. Liu Kang stopped him in his tracks. You opened your eyes slightly.

Liu Kang had a tight grip on the man’s hand. The knife scrapping the inside of his hand causing it to bleed.

Liu Kang then bent his arm slowly causing him to scream and kneel. “I believe it to be unwise if you continue this dishonorable behavior. You owe this Miss and my date an apology.”

He let go of them man, looking down at them, Liu Kangs arms glowed orange and blue. Forming fires, “If not then there will be dire consequences, that I wish to not have it lead.”

The men looked in fear, before apologizing to you and the waitress. Before running off, Liu Kang doing a hand gesture relaxing himself.

“Thank you.” You and the Waitress both said blushing. Both of you knew that was pretty hot.

“I had a wonderful evening today with you Y/N. The food here was exquisite, much to my liking.” Liu Kang told you as you both were standing outside.

Johnny took the girls home, after you and Liu Kang gave all of them a lecture the trip didn’t want to hear.

“I knew it’ll be to your taste… So does this mean you would like to continue… Seeing each other?” You were playing with your fingers.

“I would love that Y/N” Liu Kang smiled, giving you a kiss on the cheek. You blushed, but you thought you should shot your shot.

You pulled him into a gentle kiss, pulling on his collar slightly down to you. It felt like heaven, and he even reciprocated the kiss with such passion.

He broke the kiss, you had a goofy face walking to your car. You saw him create a portal, before giving you one last glance and disappearing through it.

You got in your car, you sat there. Before you ended up screaming from happiness.
