Is there any way to anonymously post a fic on AO3? My OTP is unfortunately deemed problematic by the fandom circles I exist around and I don't want to be lambasted for providing fanwork for my fellow rarepair shippers.

There are two ways to go about it that I'm aware of:

create a second AO3 account and don't tell anyone it's yours. And I mean anyone. As with any secret, telling one person means the possibility of more people also finding out.

add your fic to one of the many Anonymous collections on AO3. With this option, be aware of the fact that the collection creator can always see the true AO3 user identities of people whose fics are in their collection. If that makes you uncomfortable, you can always create your own.

I'm really happy that you take the time and effort to respond to EVERY SINGLE one of their fans' letters and comments in a fun and kind way. There are a lot of VAs out there that never reply to fans when they send them lmessages, due to their busy schedule or what not. It's totally understandable, but it's still disappointing. There are a lot fans that are willing to give VAs constructive criticism on their performance, but don't want to because they realize their feedback fall on deaf ears.

Keep in mind, I am getting a LOT of these. And so far, I have been diligent in responding to every single one of them (bar any Asks or Requests that are downright inappropriate or would not at all be in my best interest to answer).

I also do not want to give people the impression that their time is not valuable, because excitement and curiosity are great. Enthusiasm is wonderful. We are all fans of one thing or another, and I remind myself that no matter how repetitive something may seem, there is a person out there who genuinely is just so happy to interact with an actor/character they enjoy.

With that said, I do ask that anyone considering sending an Ask exercise at least some amount of critical thinking. Don’t let the visual confirmation of “This person responds to his fans” turn into an automatic permission of “I can send absolutely anything I want and get a reply”. I still do want your contributions, though, so it’s a careful line to dance!

If anything, try to sign in to your accounts when you send the Ask; it always feels better when I am responding to an actual person rather than a faceless submission, because at least it doesn’t come off like I’m trying to toot my own horn by submitting ‘fake’ Asks to myself.

I promise to do my best to remember that every single one of you is a person with interests, questions, and perhaps even a little bit of star-struck awe. In turn, please don’t forget I am also a person with a schedule, obligations, and limits.

I remember that thrill watching Know Me, listening to it. That was the first song of yours that I listened to. And, oh, was I hooked. All day, all night. That was stuck in my mind. Especially the "fxxk the game with this dixk" part. That motivates me so much! I even wrote it on a piece of paper and put in my wallet. And sometimes, I use it as a bookmark. My friend was hella shook reading that, she doesn't even want to look at the paper lol. So, I use it to tease her hehe And, my mom found the paper, when I was using it as a bookmark.
