 Ursa Romanov who has been in university courses since she was 16 did her thesis on rape culture 

concerning royalty had to publicly lie to her people denying her mother's rape to keep the idea they were not violated, Who before ontari showed slept beside her mother who drifted from drug induced sleep and pain inducing consciousness. Ursa who read stories to her mother because she always did the same for her when she was sick. Holding her hand so she can’t forget what she feels like. Who stares at her mother for so long when she blinks her features are tattooed on the back of her eyelids. When she looks at her she can’t stop feeling like a little girl too scared to let go.

Ursa Romanov who spends three days at her friends side sticking by her word, taking all the heat from Norwegian royalty so no one would be angry with Ontari. Who spent the first 12 hours getting the best doctors and psychiatrists  only to be screamed at for not caring for her as well as any of the men in front of her. Who pushed everything aside the minute her friend needed her and blamed herself when she attempted suicide because she couldn't protect her well enough 

Ursa Romanov who gave Ontari the biggest smile she could muster up before an international press release went out stating her parents death.  Hates her public affair units because what is grieving when appearances are all that matters when her parents are dead. Forced to plan two funerals and a coronation all at once as she holds back tears at every meeting. As she stands alone, future Tsarviech of one of the largest countries in the world both power wise and size, speaking to her public who believe she can bring a new generation to the pinnacle of freedom. Who can’t seem to scream loud enough to stop the shaky breathes. Who has her parent’s rooms locked and took the only key so she didn’t have to see people taking what she had left of them away

Ursa Romanov sits statuesque as two caskets situated in front of her russian prayers being drowned out by the feeling of a cold crucifix in her hand and two empty seats beside her, realizing unlike every other person she knows and cares for. She has to do this alone.  When all of the countries major leaders are standing there at the wake she doesn’t look them in the eye because who knows how destroyed she looks. Who spent so long planning her future with the idea her parents would grow old and she’d have someone anyone by the time she became Tsarviech. She’d have someone holding her hand when they lowered the caskets into the crypt, she’d look for their eyes when the place the crown on her head. She’d be able to GRIEVE.  Ursa Romanov who revolutionizes Russia and fights for the rights of minorities. Who wants russia to be strong and powerful but still loving. Who sits on her throne by herself fixing everything she can and praying she can do more as time progresses. Who witnesses her best friends marriage from a far because she still feels so guilty. Who has advisors trying so hard to take the burden from her shoulders as they see cracks forming but she refuses because her people need someone attentive and ready but no one can hold the whole world on their back forever URSA ROMANOV WHO CHOOSES EVERYONE ELSE BEFORE HERSELF who fights so hard but can’t seem to win the personal battles. Who’s dealing with everything at once, but will never allow anyone to know because who needs anyone when you’ve got a crown on your head, a country who has some of the worse rulers in its past, and the biggest legacy anyone could have.

          prince montgomery green, known by those close to him as monty, was born the only child and heir to the king and queen of luxembourg. he grew up in the ancient castle and right in the spotlight. despite that he was raised exceedingly down to earth ( all things considered ) and with a lot of love and positive attention from his folks. however, he learned from a young age that he was expected to be the country’s golden boy-- not just his parents’. too smart to just sit around the castle and play the role of perfect prince, monty soon grew restless of royal life and was eager to go out and see the world. his friendship with the impulsive prince jasper of belgium only exacerbated his restlessness and as the two reached into their teenage years, monty had gained a reputation for trouble. when he was sent away to norway, the young prince found exactly what he needed: a community and family outside the confines of the stuffy old castle. while still known for his drunken exploits, since spending time is oslo, he’s also gained skills in patience, mediation, and leadership.

         for a while, things seemed be be ideal: in norway he could feel relaxed and free from the prying eyes of his country, returning every so often for some publicity stunt or another. it was during this time that monty met harper mcintyre, an art collector, who was more beautiful than all the pieces she accumulated. he fell and fell fast-- giving his heart to her as freely as he could, forgetting for a while that there was any reason he shouldn’t. as time continued, soon his relationship to harper expanded, prince jasper and princess raven of spain also joining in their little bubble of love until the four became inseparable in every way. it was easy to pretend that everything would stay as it was forever: full of fun and love and excitement.

         although he had been very close to his parents growing up, his time in norway had estranged them slightly-- though there was never any malice between them. things began to stir up when the tabloids caught whiff of monty and harper’s affair-- though the scandal was soon covered up through bribes and bigger news. however the damage was already done. monty returned to luxembourg to talk to his parents about what had happened and maintain some damage control. it was then that he found out something that turned everything upside down: the king, his father, was sick. very sick. the kind of sick people don’t get better from. it was being kept under wraps, had been for some time. but soon they wouldn’t be able to keep it from the public and when the time came, there needed to be someone to step up.

         now monty’s home, days crammed full of meetings and tests-- tests to see if he has what it takes to fill his father’s shoes. there isn’t time to feel, even as his father lays dying in his chambers, only to promote #kingmonty2k17. his uncertain reputation risking his entire family’s claim to rule. from everywhere he looks he gets advice, ways to groom him into being the perfect replacement, the country’s golden boy at last. but he doesn’t want it, any of it, and everything is happening too fast. although it risks almost everything, harper and their dog are currently staying with him, the only reason he hasn’t completely lost himself in this volley for power.

                 but it’s only a matter of time before... well, the future. one way or another.
