Cartas entre Grace Bedell y Abraham Lincoln, leídas por Louise Brealey y Tom Hiddleston.

En 1860, habiendo visto recientemente una foto de él sin vello facial, una niña de 11 años llamada Grace Bedell, le escribió una carta al futuro presidente de Estados Unidos, Abraham Lincoln, con una única sugerencia que seguramente le ganaría el cariño del público votante. Esa sugerencia fue simplemente dejarse crecer la barba.

Para su asombro y deleite, Lincoln respondió pronto. Unos meses más tarde ella lo conoció y ahora tenía barba. Grace recordó más tarde. "Gracie", dijo, "mira mis bigotes. Los dejé crecer para tí ''. Luego me besó. Nunca lo volví a ver ".
