G R A T I T U D E Reflecting on how far I’ve come this year and feeling grateful because to be honest I thought I would be making just these 3 vases and that’s it. I decided to share quietly my passion for creating my paper clay vases during the first lockdown in March. Feeling worried and anxious like most people during the pandemic, I hoped this would be a good distraction. Little did I know. Instead I’ve had amazing support both here as well as from family and friends. THANK YOU @laura.fig (aka @thefigsisters ) who took a leap with me to buy my first (and only) 3 pieces and the talented duo @2lgstudio (which to be honest I did do a little dance for 🤫) who bought my Lilac Mio Vase and took things to the next level. Being interviewed by @katietreggiden.1 who I love everything she stands for. She interviewed me about recycling paper waste and turning what is seen as trash into treasure for Circular by design on @designmilk. Being featured in @wrap_magazine for this years Wrap Love #7, a magazine I’ve avidly loved. Then having my work stocked by small businesses I have admired and looked up to way before I started such as @coolmachinestore and @appreciationprojectuk I’m grateful that after so long too I get to do what I love and can’t wait to share new work. I have to say though that some of these things I believe I’ve manifested and tried to put a positive vibe out there into the universe (without trying to sound airy fairy!) BUT this is mainly from a lot of hard work, late nights, making and taking photos in between homeschooling, illnesses and having to isolate to juggling normal family life. It’s not always been easy and as much as 2020 has been a sh*t show I’m truly grateful.
