She may be banned from the kitchen but damn my adhd queen sure can navigate and plan charted courses. She also managed to sneak onto the salty spirit crew and joined through sheer will. Meanwhile kenneth can *squints at notes* make really good chilli, plays some instruments, and make shanties! Yeah. His goal is becoming a professionally trained medic for the crew.

With the magic of forged documents and anira having a Japanese citizenship he managed to begin those studies when kwazii was? I was day around 11 or so? Yeh. Before that though he'd pretend to be a portman who handled documents and communications, in order to prevent the crew (the salty spirit crew) from being caught on supply runs <3

Anira is a bit naturally loud, is a talented pickpocketer, enjoys rap (and her husband's shanties),collects drift wood and knows everything about every type of wood, has a bit of a history with insecurity despite her boldness, is incredibly good at getting others to reveal personal information through her (nosyness) friendly demeanor, and loves the feeling of freedom from society and experiencing new places.   Anira is also rather sneaky and smug, and can be an excellent prankster when she wants to be.

Kenneth is honesyly a big wife guy and is actually a pretty romantic guy. Yk, sappy songs, thoughtful gifts,bragging about his wife, loving every "flaw", and pretty emotionally vulnerable with her. Kenneth also has alot of anxiety about worst case scenarios and disease. He just tries his best to keep Anira from doing something risky and getting hurt. She uh, kinda has a penchant for not being scared of anyone, from rougher individuals on the streets to... a literal assassin who just joined their crew 😩🙏

Kenneth also loves antique shopping, story telling and performing,and reading and studying various topics. Hes really just my silly guy. He'll probably be mostly fine.

Criminally underutilized backstory for my rogue in a D&D campaign! Her name is Ingrid Burgleman, she was the former child star of Full Castle turned socialite/secret jewel thief, secretly robbing the parties she was invited to. The plot twist, which the DM knew, is that she's not actually Ingrid, but a very convincing lookalike named Grace Spelly who stole Ingrid's identity. (She has the Charlatan background's False Identity feature, and that identity is technically Ingrid, she's just been using the False Identity primarily.)

alright I guess it's about time for me to explain some of my OCs' abilities 🧍Let's start off with Zea:

There's a unique race in Wildfire called Scions where they have the special ability to transform into a beast. For Zea's case, she can take the form of a canine beast which increases her movement for a period of time. Though in this form, Zea has only partial control of her actions and will behave like an actual wolf.

Her beast form is limited by her stamina and will transform back into her human form when it's depleted.

The more times Zea uses her beast form, she always seems to have a bigger appetite when she transforms back, leading her to consume an immense amount of food.

Pressure Rescued AU Lore Post

This will be updated when new information comes up!

The Rescued AU centers around Sebastian Solace, the_p.AI.nter, and two of my OCs, one being Bea Ryley, and the other being Dani Rivers.

Story:

Sebastian successfully made a deal with one of Urbanshade’s rivals(Deluge Labs), offering confidential information in exchange for an escape from the Hadal Blacksite for himself, Painter, and Bea.

Dani is an employee at Deluge Labs(DL) Specifically she takes care of creatures and living experiments. Once the three were rescued and brought back to the DL facility, Dani was assigned to take care of them. Any injuries and damages were cared for, they were well fed, and kept decently happy while DL figured out what to do with them. Urbanshade found out about DL harbouring their escaped experiments, and broke in in an attempt to eliminate loose ends. This attempt failed, though it was no longer safe to keep Seb, Painter, and Bea at the facility(they also didn’t want to stay trapped there). Dani winds up taking the three to her home in a rural area where they can have more freedom and live without Urbanshade breathing down their necks, DL organizing for her to “retire” due to an injury during the Urbanshade break in, as a cover but still get pay.

Some things to note!

DL built Painter a body, as well as repaired damage to his personality drivers(due to this repair, he’s able to enjoy art again and has improved, reflected by more detailed faces on his screen8

Eyefestation is free from the Blacksite. She stuck around as long as she did to support Sebastian as her friend, then left the Blacksite when the others escaped. She discovered the lake near Dani’s home and occasionally comes by to visit Seb, Bea, and Painter.

Technically these "headcanons" are straight up canon, since this AU is my creation.

Don't be afraid to ask for tags. Fnaftale is EXTREMELY dark, so some headcanons might not be for the faint of heart (especially with all the angst I beat the demons over the head with.) If I write something unsettling, and don't tag it properly, I would appreciate it if you tell me.

Put a year with your request. There are many eras in my AU, as the timeline stretches for billions of years (I'm masochistic when it comes to world building, apparently.) If you don't give me a year, I will give headcanons for whatever era i feel like in the moment.

Crossovers are heavily welcomed. I will do as much research as I can to get character interactions as accurate as possible. If you'd like, you can even DM me and we can talk about my characters, factions, and how characters from other universes would interact them or vice versa. It also gives me an excuse to interact with new fandoms!

Demons! They have more of their lore written on my lore doc, so if you're interested in learning more about them, check it out! It's not finished (yet), so you may get more lore from here than there. I'll do headcanons for whatever demons have their lore sheet filled out and random demons (specify their sin/s if they are a hellborn, or if they're a sinner or a fallen angel. This will affect the headcanons.) Will probably mainly do the 7 main devils + Lilith. Lucifer, Leviathan, Satan, Beelzebub, Belphegor, Asmodeus, and Mammon are up for headcanon requests. Like with the Endodorians, they have Eras that will affect the headcanons. Will not put years 'cause FUCK immortality, you can look at the timeline in the doc if you want specific years.

What does the forest usually look like?

Getting the read the lore posts has been a real treat and the implications to the story really have me thinking, and yet it's the Halloween entry that has me caught up. I have to ask, does The Night Market eat people? Is that the implication here?

I think it's an interesting question to pose because the Night Market does take people from other worlds and realms. They do literally consume them and integrate them into their own world. In a way it is possible? The fog that is spoken of in that lore post is also a strange act.

I think a better way to think of it is kind of like mother nature. When things get out of balance, mother nature fights back. Regulating itself. I think in some ways the Night Market does a lot of the same.

i dont have the thought power to crank out an essay abt mental illness atm but lately ive been mulling it over and i think im going to settle on bonana having bipolar 1, where hes very prone to manic episodes of high irritability. and i like the thought that it actually comes from his dad, but his dad has bipolar 2 with heavier depressive episodes, which is why his parents never made the connection of him having some sort of disorder (also his nurse mom is kind of an asshole who didnt want to entertain the thought her kid could have such a thing)

As The Skeld makes its scheduled shipment to Polus, it is discovered by the crew that the ship's anti-impostor protocol is on the fritz! Ordinarily, this would be manageable, if troublesome - only, unbeknownst to all, the crew is in fact almost entirely impostors, with only one crewmate among them all! Will the Skeld Crew survive impostors getting underfoot of and sabotaging each other long enough to reach Polus? And if they do, will they be prepared for what awaits them there...?

In one of your answered questions you put that ragne was orignally supposed to be Vanja's love interest. Can you explain more about that

"Supposed to be" may not be the right phrasing, haha!

There is a period of time with every story where it exists in my skull not as a linear series of events, but a primordial soup of ideas for scenes, characters, vibes, etc. For LT, that was right around October/November 2019. I joked earlier that Vanja is a spectrum from Eleanor Shellstrop to Sophie Devereaux, and at this point, I envisioned her a lot closer to Sophie. My first idea for her love interest would be the chaotic, semi-feral son of the god who had cursed her, assigned to basically monitor Vanja, and accidentally foiling her mean-spirited endeavors by being honest and nice.

It was a fun dynamic, but ultimately, I felt like it wasn't hitting the right notes, or allowing for the most interesting character growth. I didn't like the idea that her love interest would be, even unintentionally, constantly undermining her, but not in a way that challenged her. Or that she would be in a relationship with someone essentially expected to surveil her. Or with someone who was still learning how humans work, and thus wouldn't have an understanding of the games and nuances that Vanja relied on to survive—someone Vanja could tell herself only loved her because he didn't know better.

Then I had an idea to make the love interest someone who did understand her, however grudgingly. Someone who could appreciate the ingenuity in her schemes as well as the awful things she's survived, and that would challenge her and be challenged in kind.

I also really, really wanted to write a bitchy teenage boy detective.

So by the time Little Thieves went into the outlining phase, Ragne was a girl and Emeric was Vanja's love interest. And you know (most of) the rest. :)

If you could, I'd love if you could give me a full recap of the THV Lore in your Dying Light fics.

I know, you're probably saying right now "just read the fics and you'll learn" and I have but my brain is scattered all over the place and I have all sort of crap to do that I can't find the time to piece together the.....well, pieces of the lore itself. If you could, I'd be extremely grateful and also have fun in your next projects. And health above all, have a good day!

Hey, thank you for the ask and I'm more than happy to put this together. Just keep in mind this is all (a) head canon and (b) has no grounding in science.

My changes to the lore start before Harran. It wasn't the first place to be affected, with an earlier variant of the virus popping up in a remote location. Think Dead Island, but a lot more low key, with only a small number of casualties. This whetted the GRE's appetite though, especially once they figured out they could sell access to pharmaceutical corporations.

By the time the Harran outbreak happened, they already knew what they were doing. They sold of access to the highest bidder, often embedding their own scientists with them. This is where the rest of my lore branches off from Dying Light's lore, specifically around what happened during the Following.

The variant responsible for Jasmine (the Mother) is created by Stuart Fraser. His project was intended to harness THV's regenerative abilities. Windfall, he called it. Immortality.

He failed. All of his subjects eventually turned fully.

That is until: Theo

Latchkey Hero Season Three and Monsters. We. spoilers below the cut.

Theo is the catalyst to all my major Volatile and virus lore changes.

He and his brother were the last subjects in Fraser's experiments before the GRE pulled the plug. They were the Volatiles, slash, Night Hunters that harassed Crane in Latchkey's second season. But unlike all other Windfall subjects, their variant mutated, eventually sending Theo on a path to "recovery", so to speak. He regained control of himself, regardless of the time of day (unlike what we see with the Mother in The Following).

During season two, Crane is attacked by Theo's brother, effectively introducing him to Windfall, which begins its work on him. His, ah, proximity to Zofia means she catches it, too. More on that later.

By the end of season three, Camden and Fraser manage to create a genuine, though flawed, cure. It works on early variants, meaning I get to yank Rahim and Collin from the jaws of certain death, and the world at large celebrates a little.

Harran doesn't. It's still under quarantine and it remains so while the GRE works on redeeming itself. Which it does, sort of, a lot of which is down to Zere's work and Camden's, along with Fraser, who's the only one still alive of the three and doesn't wait long to throw himself right back into his Windfall project. Especially once he gets his hands on a sample of Crane's blood.

He has Crane and Zofia snatched up, figures out Theo is still alive, and spends the time that's left until the Fall chasing Windfall's perfection. He doesn't manage; beyond Crane and Fi, he can't recreate the same effects. Would he have, eventually? Maybe, but his subjects manage to escape, which sets not only him back, but also Waltz (who's been piggy-backing off Windfall for his own research).

But, hey. Now we've got Inhibitors, woo! And an Aiden, who's unwittingly a side-product of Crane and Zofia.

The last major change to the TVH lore would be how Volatiles and Night Hunters function. Remember, Windfall was what made Jasmine (the Mother) and Windfall didn't quit with her or Theo or Crane and Zofia. There were enough people in the Harran Countryside infected with it and enough of it prevalent in the vaccines and cures that followed, that the Volatile variants coming with the Fall had more to do with Theo and his brother than with the simpler Harran Vollies. I won't touch on more than that though since that'd spoil the pieces of Monsters, We. I haven't posted yet.
