the more i think about it and read other ppl talk about it the more disappointed i am in the direction act 3 went in. i love viktor and jayce so much but they were focused on WAY too much and overshadowed vi & jinx who were supposed to be the main conflict, and subsequently piltover vs zaun.

i’m not a writer but imo what should have happened at the VERY least with minimum 3 more episodes is 1) the zaunite rebels should NOT have joined with the enforcers, that was so stupid. i think it’s fine if they fight with everyone but it would be on their own terms and to protect their own people. there’s simply no way they’d put on the pig uniforms. 2) viktor and jayce’s whole thing happens at least a solid 3 episodes BEFORE the show ends so they have time to focus on other things after they sort out their shit. i don’t think it really matters if the two of them die or not, but it would be cool if they both end up alright (viktor gets his human body back no longer with a terminal illness (still has his disability though obvi)) so they can share their perspectives. especially viktor because his whole entire story revolves around the fact that he experienced firsthand the abuse zaun faces and wanted to “help” people to have better lives. 3) sevika is not the only zaunite to be elected onto the council, at least HALF the council should be zaunite. in fact my girl with the blue locs should never have died and she should be on the council. 4) CAITLYN APOLOGY. and her ass needs to stay the fuck away from the council, she needs to STOP making decisions for piltover. 5) VI AND JINX. they NEED at least an ENTIRE episode dedicated to them. i think it’s lame as fuck to imply jinx escaped and left on the airship. like viktor, she needs to learn that she is deserving of love and it’s fucking stupid to have her just run away YET AGAIN. she deserves to be happy with vi and build a new life. it defeats her entire arc if she just continues to run away. 6) significant time dedicated to showing how zaun and piltover interact with each other and begin to make peace, especially piltover’s reparations. i want to see zaun become the zaun in the alt reality where vi died, i want to see exactly how it comes to be like that in the current timeline. 7) isha memorial including both jinx and sevika and them talking that shit out. it’s so fucking lame that no one even says isha’s name ONCE during act 3.

in conclusion i love arcane it’s so good i love it i will never stop thinking about it but if they HAD MORE TIME it could have been so much better. i hate you netflix

also i have to be so real caitvi is great for the hashtag community but by the end it was starting to piss me off. vi had more interaction with caitlyn than with jinx and that’s frankly ridiculous. so many of the important emotional scenes about vi were about damn caitlyn and not her sister who was supposed to be the entire point of the fucking show from the beginning. i genuinely don’t think caitlyn is good for vi, she never apologized for any of her shitty dictator decisions, she does the absolute bare minimum (letting jinx go) and vi acts like she’s an angel from heaven. that is not who vi is, she should be out there looking for her suicidal sister rather than eating a cop’s pussy.

my one critique with act 3 though is that imo there were too many storylines converging at the same time and we kind of lost the plot of piltover vs zaun. they hated each other so much and then suddenly a flip switches and everything is fine after the battle which is believable sure because of whole teaming up to fight a greater evil thing but it really needed more time dedicated to it lol, it doesn’t seem like such an easy fix. don’t get me wrong i love all the characters and all their stories but they focused too much on individual characters and not enough on the class system that’s been a major conflict for the entire show. if there was just one more episode to wrap up that conflict it would have been a perfect show.

also i find it strange that there was that one scene at the end implying jinx might be alive but like since they’re absolutely 100% done with arcane…. why would they include that? there’s no way to follow up on it…….lame asf

see like before act 3 i liked jayvik but i never thought it was canon even in the slightest it was just fun to think about delusionally but now it’s like come on what was the intention here. there’s 0 chance they didn’t know that they made it explicitly fucking gay as shit. if they had an uncensored 45 minute sex scene it would have been less romantic than the fucking shit that went down. and the thing that really gets me is that viktor told jayce to leave but jayce’s gay ass stayed with him and died with him for no reason other than love likeeeee I’M SICK

i’m genuinely going insane i watched all of act 3 the second it dropped and i have no one to scream to and no one gets it like i do noooooooo one in my life understands it like i do this is a joke i promise im not that pretentious. anyway i cried like a baby and almost threw up like a show has never ever done that to me before omg i feel like i am 16 years old again. so many fucking things happened and while i do really wish it was longer they did the absolute best with the time they had and it was perfect EXCEPT FOR FUCKING JINX DYING. i saw that coming from a mile away but oh my god i was hoping until the last second it wouldn’t be true. i need to increase my lexapro dose or something because my perfectly nice coworker told me not to step on the ledge of the freezers to reach the top shelf cuz it’s a safety hazard which is a totally normal and reasonable thing to say and yet it made me randomly so upset for the rest of the shift -_- not in an angry way in a like self conscious anxious way… lexapro you gotta work harder….it really doesn’t help that i’ve only been listening to one song from stupid hotel for the past 2 days i think that’s having an effect on my mental state. absolutely devastating that the song is catchy af. i should just bite the bullet and watch the show so i can satisfy my curiosity and then i won’t give a shit anymore ✌️ anyway i can’t wait to be done with this job i cannot wait… someone better cover my fucking shift on september 14th though because i’m going to the kikuo concert no matter what. i’ll try to negotiate with my stupid fucking manager who i hate because he told me i can’t call off anymore but if he doesn’t offer to move the shift or change it to a half shift or something then i will be calling off and that’s their problem 🤣🤣 if i do that though then they’ll hate me forever and i can never show my face in there again. but kikuo concert is worth it
