Het hart dat niet in hokjes past...

Er zijn mensen die je raken op een manier die woorden nooit kunnen verklaren. Jij bent zo’n persoon voor mij. Mijn liefde voor jou is groot, intens, en tijdloos. Het is een liefde die niet vraagt, maar simpelweg is.

Toen ik je schreef, was dat mijn manier om alles wat ik voelde een plek te geven. Het was eerlijk, rauw, en kwetsbaar. Het antwoord dat ik kreeg, hoe zorgvuldig en liefdevol ook, voelde als een zachte breuk. Niet omdat je niet om me gaf – dat voelde ik in elke knuffel, in elke blik. Maar omdat we elkaar niet op het juiste moment in elkaars leven hebben getroffen.

Soms denk ik dat mijn hart gewoon niet in hokjes past. Het verlangt, het geeft, het houdt vast – zelfs als het moet loslaten. Mijn man begrijpt dit beter dan wie dan ook. Hij weet van mijn gevoelens voor jou, en zijn woorden blijven me bij: "Als dit ooit weer op je pad komt, moet je luisteren naar je hart." Zijn liefde voor mij is onbegrensd door jaloezie, maar doordrenkt met begrip. En dat alleen maakt me zo dankbaar.

Toch is het moeilijk. Want terwijl ik gelukkig ben, voel ik me soms incompleet. Jij, met jouw warmte en kwetsbaarheid, hebt een stukje van mij meegenomen. En dat is oké. Want liefde is soms niet bedoeld om beantwoord te worden. Het is bedoeld om gevoeld te worden, in al zijn puurheid en intensiteit.

Ik weet dat het tijd is om verder te gaan. Maar voor nu, heel even, wil ik dit gevoel vasthouden. Niet om jou, maar om mezelf eraan te herinneren hoe mooi het is om lief te hebben. Zelfs als het pijn doet.

Random DP x DC Thought #9:

The fight was desperately going on against the villains near a newly located Lazarus Pit, but despite the heroes best efforts they couldn't prevent one of their own suffering a fatal injury.

Per usual desperation to avoid having to go through life with that loss, the dead person is placed into the Lazarus Pit for revival. (The cost of a bout of possible madness could be dealt with, and at the very least it would remove another one of the pits from the world).

Except this time when the revived person comes back out of the waters, the Lazarus Pit doesn't leave. Shrinks certainly, but still roils and churns before a large, glowing creature with white fur looms over all those gathered. Their blue cape flutters slightly as it floats up above the waters.

"Greetings, I am Frostbite of the Far Frozen. I have come to request-"

A head of white hair and glowing green eyes pops up from behind the being's shoulder.

"STOP THROWING SO MANY PATIENTS INTO PORTALS! YOU'RE STRESSING OUT THE YETIS!"
