Nabi Needs Help: Bookcase Edition

So I tried to make a list today and came up....(almost) empty.

You see - I adore bookcases. Whether they're meticulously organized by color and height or a messy collection of baubles and books, it doesn't matter. I love them.

I regularly visit libraries and bookstores for a fun side quest on a day out. Posts like this one by @heretherebedork showcasing an odd or unusual book will always make my day. I immediately start thinking about how you could showcase those in a fun bookcase display.

Book cafes like the one in Monster Next Door are a dream location for me. I wish I had one of those in my life.

This quirk has come to the forefront this week.

I first got distracted by the bookcases in Heesu in Class 2. Heesu, Seung Won, and Ji Yu all have fabulous bookcases.

Then @respectthepetty posted about Secrets of Litchi Island, and I spied a pic of a make out session against a bookcase.

My heart sang 😍. I immediately went and found the scene in question, and I have now binged the entire lovely show. (Side note: It's a symbolism smorgasbord 💜🥰).

But it made me start thinking...what other QL shows feature spicy scenes involving bookcases? It feels like a list I need in my life...for academic purposes of course 😉.

But my brain has failed me.

The only ones I can think of are from Western media (ex. Atonement) or het dramas.

I can think of shelving units (ex. Lost in Translation).

But they're not really bookcases.

I can think of several key BL scenes in libraries.

Even a few on the steamier side.

But they didn't really use the bookcase.

The only legitimate one (besides Litchi) that I came up with was History 4: Close to You. Does it count? They go to an alcove.

My GIF queries have been fruitless.

Ooh, as far as Between the City and the Stars (Dean Winchester x Reader), I can confirm it's not a screwball comedy loll. It's more of a romantic period drama. I did a fair bit of historical research for it, since it's meant to fulfill the "Historical Epic" square for my Jacklesverse Bingo card. I also took a lot of influence from a Judy Garland movie called The Clock (1945).

I'm really looking forward to sharing that series after Outlander, the continuation of The Honorable Choice (Western AU)!! 💜💜 Part 1 is coming next week.~

I believe this is Thumper 2, the more shy and jumpy one of the two hares, that has been visiting us the whole winter. I think she might also be the same young hare, who came to our yard last spring and dayrested few weeks in our flower bed. 💜💜💜

Thumper 2 was in our yard several times today. Thumper 1 stopped by too, since I believe she was the one I photographed first today (earlier post). Later this evening we had three hares running around the apple tree, until one of them chased the others away. I took out some more oats/ seeds and one slized apple and it didn't take long for two of the hares to come to eat.

I just love them so! 🥰🥰🥰

So this is a boring answer but I truly don't have favorites. I go through phases where I like/think about certain fics more than others, but I've been doing this for long enough that I've learned the wheel always comes back around and that my momentary feelings aren't honest portrayals of how I would really rank my fics.

For example, right after I finished Napoleonville, I hated that fic and felt like I had done a terrible job with it, like I didn't even want to be reminded that it exists. But later my mind changed and Napoleonville is currently the fic I think the most about (besides my current series Gloomy Depths, of course) and find myself super nostalgic for, I go back and read certain chapters all the time! 😍 On the flipside, I haven't been thinking about WTWICD or NTTF very much at all recently, but that doesn't mean I don't adore those stories. I might be mentally back in Juneau next week, who knows! 😂

It might sound cliche, but I honestly love all my fics in different ways!!! 🥹🥰
