You know that one contestant with seemingly no talent whatsoever, but keeps scraping by because of their personality? That was Hotaru. Her audition was insane; she not only struggled hilariously to speak to the judges as her Korean was still pretty weak, but she performed a now iconic (for all the wrong reasons) rendition of Taeyeon’s “Rain”. The trainwreck played out more like an SNL Korea skit than a legitimate audition; however, to the surprise of the contestants, Hotaru was accepted into the program. She then improved dramatically over the season and became one of the most captivating performers. Her shy, innocent personality and endless encouragement also earned her the title of “THE FUN FACTORY sweetheart”. She made it all the way to the finale where she placed 15th; her teary speech about being proud of how far she made it was one of the highlights of the series.

Hotaru's parents divorced when she was two years old. Her mother remarried a few years later.

Hotaru was part of Lockys, a well-known waacking and voguing group, back in Japan.

Yeojeong is well-known as the “robbed girl” of THE FUN FACTORY. She was strong and consistent throughout, placing in the Top 10 every single week and even placing 1st twice. Her fancams racked up hundreds upon thousands of views and the concept song she was featured in went viral. In the most shocking final elimination since Lee Kaeun was snubbed on Produce 48, Yeojeong only managed to place 11th in the finale, one placement away from being Top 10 and making it into FUNFACTORY. Viewers were irate; there was even a petition started to turn the Top 10 into a Top 11 just so they could include her. Yeojeong had to address the fans herself and tell them that she’s flattered they feel this way, but to please stop.

Yeojeong was born to Chu Jae-won, a high-ranking official at a major Korean conglomerate, and Kim Jeong-yeon, a Korean high court judge, which basically means she was always meant for greatness.

Yeojeong attended boarding school in Shanghai from 2nd grade to 8th grade and attended high school in Ohio. She speaks fluent Chinese and English.

Yeojeong's older brother tragically took his own life when she was about thirteen. She has spoken about how deeply his death affected her and how she has a birthday celebration for him every year.

Yumin was fairly popular on THE FUN FACTORY due to her impressive rapping skills and heartstopping visuals. She was known as one of “the faces'' of the competition and wore that title out. There was a bit of a rivalry between her and another contestant, Lee Kyujin, which became a large part of her storyline on the show as they were highly regarded by the judges and their fellow contestants as the best rappers in the competition. Lee Kyujin, however, got the last laugh: she made it into FUNFACTORY and Yumin was eliminated in the finale.

Yumin's mother left when she was about five years old. She currently has had no contact with her since she was young and has no idea as to her mother's current whereabouts.

Yumin has spoken about how she has chosen to go no-contact with her father. He is a known alcoholic and has been in and out of rehab since she was young. She was mainly raised by her aunt.

Rudy’s journey on THE FUN FACTORY was strange to say the least. She started out being one of the featured contestants in the first two episodes, being praised by the judges for her powerful vocals and charming, bubbly personality. However, netizens started criticizing her visuals and saying she was “too ugly” to be on TV. This took a noticeable toll on her self-esteem during the show, and her screen time nosedived. Ruby was eventually eliminated in the penultimate episode because people kinda forgot she was there and didn’t keep voting for her.

Rudy speaks the most languages out of the group: she grew up speaking Thai and English, learned Korean when she came to South Korea, and has been studying Japanese in her spare time. She likes to practice her Japanese with Hotaru.

If you asked THE FUN FACTORY viewers how they felt about Byeol on the show, they’d probably respond “who?” That’s because she unfortunately was one of many victims of the show’s deplorable editing. Despite being an amazing vocalist, well-trained dancer, and even a solid rapper, she was rarely given the screen time she deserved. She was given the main vocal part during the first challenge of THE FUN FACTORY, but it was by default as her teammates were dancers and rappers, and she was overshadowed by fan favorite and now FUNFACTORY member Ku Seori. Even her audition was glossed over; fans of hers still can’t find a full clip of it online. She didn’t survive the first culling and is the lowest ranking THE FUN FACTORY contestant added to Lovemonth.

Chowon is a THE FUN FACTORY contestant who started off strong and had lots of promise. She was one of the youngest contestants, but could easily outsing some of the most mature vocalists. She was also known for her very dry, sarcastic sense of humor and down-to-earth, relatable personality. About halfway through the season, someone who is only referred to as "Lee" claimed to be a former classmate of Chowon’s and accused her of being a school bully, stating that she made their life so miserable that they had to change schools mid-year. She insisted on her innocence, but soon dropped out of the competition for "health reasons". After some legal action, "Lee" admitted the accusations were unfounded and apologized publicly to Chowon.

Chowon has never met her father, but it is believed he is most likely a Korean businessman as they are known for making "trips" to the Philippines and leaving behind children.

Chowon's mother tragically passed away when she was eight years old. After her mother's death, she was raised by her grandparents.
