Thought that the divine dont bleed like hyilans, their blood/essence invisible to the naked mortal eye, staining the skin of another permanently.
So can you imagine the horror of the higher beings when they see the ‘lazy hero’ drenched head to toe in the corrupted blood of their kin?
ALL THIS TO SAY LET SKY BE A SCARY GOD SLAYER CAUSE HE DESERVES IT

So can we talk about this?
Tumblr media
Ever since I read this phrase it stuck out to me in kind of a weird way.
Why is Time talking shit about his younger self so hard?
Man where even is the evidence? Playing through OoT and MM, especially in MM Time has to do all the hard work, solving everyone’s problems and conflicts. In OoT that’s his first adventure, over the whole game he is a 10 year old child and still has to carry the world.
Am I reading too much into this? Probably. Is this still important to me because I really want to know what Times thinks of himself? Yes.

Okay, I know we're WAY past the Sunset/Dawn arcs, but I'm going to talk about them anyway.
In Dawn Part 1, we see Four and Wind are actually in tears that Twilight is better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, in Sunset Part 13, we actually see Legend almost crying.
Tumblr media
Legend, one of the most resilient and saltiest members of the group, shows that he cares! I think that it's really important for the development of the group to see each other like this.
But what I find most ironic is that Wild and Time, Twilight's mentor and mentee, don't cry
Wild is literally having a mental breakdown for this entire part of the story, but it goes to show that he is extremely good at holding back tears.
Same thing with Time! In Sunset Part 14, Time talks to Twilight as he sleeps.
Tumblr media
It appears that he is keeping calm despite everything.
Do they actually cry without us noticing? Or did they both hold it back?
Idk, random thoughts are over.

Someone try to convince me that any sane person who heard that the name Time wouldn't assume Time is Thyme, the herb. It's just logical. Right? It makes sense. People are named Sage and stuff. Thyme sounds far more typical than Time.
I can imagine a bunch of spelling and misheard name assumptions for the rest, too. Unfortunately, there isn't anything as perfect as Time's name assumptions.

I find the idea amusing that technically WE are Hylia to all hylians/the Legend of Zelda world as a whole, because technically...
Whenever we write fanfiction we are deciding what happens. We control the outcome, the domain of time and all else.
Which makes me laugh AGAIN because of all the times people write Legend cursing out Hylia, cause if you think about it like that then you just made Legend call you a piece of sh-t

Theoretically, if the chain were to travel to different eras/time periods and had to use a fairy, wouldn’t the fairy be released in a whole new place? Like imagine Twilight used a fairy (that he brought from his own Hyrule) while in Sky’s era, the fairy wouldn’t be able to go back home, she’d have to just stay in Skyloft…

Sooo, are we just going to ignore the fact that wars is Probobly secretly, not as confident as we think he is? Like think about it, the last time he was confident in him self he was a liability, the one thing he's most afraid of. He's probably worried that if hes ever confident in himself again then he'll be a liability like last time. And due to this he probably has incredibly low self esteem. Because he's worried that if he shows the slightest bit of confidence, that he's proud, then he'll be a burden, and then the others will have to come help him. So he's not aloud to be proud of himself, not aloud to be confident, not aloud to show the slightest bit of self praise, even if he probably deserves it. Because he's scared of being useless

Something something 'The Wild that went into the Shrine of Resurrection is not the same that came out, how much of me is myself and how much of me is my experiences and the perception of others and since memories and perception are reality, losing your memories is essentially having a part of yourself killed and all the trauma that comes with it but not knowing WHY you have the scars and becoming a different person for it.' and 'Wild did come out as himself because even without his memories he is still Link he's just at a different point in his life simply for the fact that just because you grown doesn't mean you are a completely new person. You just changed and you are more than just the sum of your broken parts, you are still beautiful and lovely and deserving of love and there's always a place for you no matter how you change because at the end of the day it's still you.' are two thoughts that can and should coexist actually.

Random but i think Legend should know that his bunny form isnt just some cute and fluffy thing, all sorts of meanings and interruptions can be had over the same animal. To some hes a quick to fright, prey to feast on and weak hyilan, but to others hes a sign of good luck, of a quick and survivalist hero who is here to bring the good they need.
And to himself, hes more than his sacrifices, more than the blood on his coat and dirt under his nails.
Looked up what bunnies meant to Japanese culture (as, ya know! Nintendo is a Japanese based company) and it makes sense for Legend’s character

Time-angst-things I would love to see more content of.
1. Bully-trauma:
Time had been bullied as a child for his lack of a fairy-partner. In game it’s mostly shown by Mido calling him names, but due the Kokiri immediately blaming Link for the Deku Trees death, I take that Link got literally excluded, bullied out of things, or had to take the blame for things he didn’t do. His lack from expressions in game as es his distance personality in LU could be explained more as a coping mechanism, and the inability to show his true emotions. Since a reaction is what bully’s want the most out of their victims, Link had learned from a concerning young age to keep it all well hidden.
2. Abandonment-issues:
Ocarina of Time is so brutal about this in game, Link never got to see Saria and Impa one last time. He got to see Darunia and Ruto only for a moment and then they were gone the next. Naboruu was the closest Link got to see what happened to the sages, but even so it has no closer. Navi was the worst of all at the end.
3. Daddy and Mommy issues:
For some reason this is very strongly overlooked, even if it’s quite important in both Oot and MM. He saw his father die, in front of his eyes. Only for later to get told that he was adopted and only because he was a child of destiny. Would his "father" still loved him if he had been just a regular child as well? Had there been even love in the first place?
He went to look for Navi for probably a long time. Wondering if she even cared or loved him, or if it was the same with the Deku tree? Was it because he was a hylian?
4. Identity issues:
Yes the fandom jumps on the is he a child or a man identity conflict, but I really want to read more about him having trouble accepting that he is a hylian! I can see Link blaming his heritage for some of his suffering. The bulling, the hero business, Navi leaving him, etc… However, the hylian don’t see him as one of them either!
Malon comments on his foreign clothing, and calling him Fairy boy, the same as other town folks. (In german one calls him "Waldschrat" which can be translated to forest goblin). And in Majora’s Mask the Lost Woods doesn’t harm him, the fog stays far away from him, and in Oot Link doesn’t end as a Skull kid if he gets lost, the Woods take him back to Kokiri Forest even as an Adult. Also Skull kid calls him a Fairy child, making it seem that the Lost Woods and Skull kids see Link as a Kokiri that belongs with them. This must be very confusing for Link, what of the two is the truth?
5. Homesickness:
This one I would love to see a little bit more in LU context. He wants to go home, to the ranch, to his wife and father in law. So why does he also want to go back to the treehouse? Why does he sometimes want to wake up and have Saria telling him that he is back home?
6. The Koroks:
You know how in Oot the Kokiri will ask teen Link, to keep an eye open for kid Link, because they think kid Link will come back one day, and that their all missing him and hope for his wellbeing? This but with the Koroks!
The Kokiri never knew Link was a hylian, so why should the Koroks? Yes this is completely a headcanon of mine, but see my vision please! The Chain in Wild’s era, end in Korok forest, Time doesn’t mention anything and the Deku tree went to sleep after talking with Wild and given a little speech to all the heroes. Yet once with the Koroks Time will feel endless guilt about not having once visited Kokiri Forest after his adventure. For the Koroks will keep saying that they are always ready to welcome one lost sibling back, and that they made them a mask, and have collected food for a good meal, etc…
Wild thinks that maybe there is still a Korok somewhere, but Time knows better.
Bonus: Wind has two person in mind one is Time, because Wind got to meet the Deku sprout/tree, or Fado the wind sage whose spirit he met and was told that Fado had been murdered.
———
I have more in mind, but those are very heavy tight to fics I want to write but just don’t know how! Like the resemblance between Mask and Tp Collin. Time having a horrible time in Ordon Village, because it reminds him of Kokiri Forest. But also some that are heavy world-building headcanon from my own AU which includes the war-trio (Mask, Warriors and Wind) and how they see the Hero of time.
Feel free to add stuff, would love to see what other people think of Time-Angst-stuff.

Okay so I was looking through Jojo's other doodles, and came across this...
the question is "Will Linkle ever make a guest appearance in your LinkedUniverse AU?"
And Jojo responds with "So close yet so far..."
Does that mean that she will play a part? 🤔

Laughing because of this abrupt realization
Even of the links had all been trained
Even if they had all been adults on their adventures
Even if anyone else was the hero
Nothing would have changed
No one is ready to be the hero in the end
No matter how prepared they are
Being a hero is staring into your mortality and defying it
Being a hero is taking on suffering so others don't have to
Being a hero is grueling and unpredictable and traumatizing
There is no time you are ready to be a hero
There is only the time that you are one

I've had to do this, and I try and do my best be a person this never needs to be done with, although I'd never fault anyone who'd think they do. Sometimes people drift apart, and that's got to be okay. Addendum to this - is never try and force yourself to be a person you think other people want you to be - because that not only hurts you, it's fake, and it's dishonest. Better to be real and drift away from poor compatibility - and keep open finding people of higher compatibility - than try and be someone you're not to please other people. That's corrossive and poison, don't do that, don't be that.
Sometimes, in fact a lot of the time, cutting contact with someone feels terrible.
You might feel guilty over what they're experiencing. You might miss them, and be grieving the loss of that relationship (which is still valid by the way, even if you chose to end it.) Sometimes it's that you feel lonely without that person. Or you're missing something in your life.
Often, the people we cut out did add something to our lives, even if the negative outweighed the positive. Maybe they were the person you sent funny cat memes to without second thought, and now you have to adjust to not having that anymore. You see those cat memes, and feel the instinctive urge to send it and have to catch yourself. And now, you just scroll on. Maybe they were the person that you messaged each week when that specific show aired and you knew they were watching it too. Maybe you don't even want to watch that show anymore because it hurts.
This is a reminder that even if it feels terrible, there's a reason you did it. And it's worth it. It might take a long time to feel like it's worth it, but eventually it will. It isn't always easy to leave someone. I think in most cases, it's actually really hard, even if you know it's best for you. Stay strong in your decision. You made it for a reason.
