it's been days and I can't stop thinking about the banter emmrich says he can hear spite when he's close enough to lucanis and how my mind immediately went to spite revealing the filthiest daydreams lucanis is having about the professor everytime they see him and emmrich just pretending not to hear it to not embarrass lucanis and just blushing furiously, until one time they're going to the necropolis and another watcher that can't take it anymore just says "they know we CAN hear him right?" letting lucanis AND emmrich completely mortified while spite cackles madly

I should be sleeping but instead I'm thinking about Spite becoming fixated with Emmrich because Emmrich can see him and talk to him and does so and is actually very nice to him and this makes sleepwalking even more of a problem for Lucanis... Although, not because Spite is trying to run away, but because he keeps coming to in Emmrich's room, sleeping on his sofa. And it's kind of... Cozy. But also embarrassing and frustrating.

I'm working on Fantasy Wildwest AU Lucharich fic! It's still a WIP but I have the bones for the first chapter done and some backstory:

Magic is still very real, the Veil and Fade exist as background concepts but now rogues have access to rifles and revolvers.

Lucanis is a bounty hunter, part of a morally ambiguous bounty hunting group known as the Crows.

He was tasked with taking out a member of the Venatori gang out west. But the contract went wrong and he was taken prisoner at the gang's secret hi alldeout, known as the Ossuary.

He's still bound to Spite through Venatori experimentations.

Emmrich is the head mortician and de facto physician in the secluded but thriving town of Neverra.

Neverra is experiencing the height of a gold rush.

Emmrich also tends to the large and elaborate cemetery known as the Necropolis with the aid of his ward Manfred.

Manfred is still a wisp inhabiting a skeleton but uses a glamour to blend in with the people around him.

Here's a snippet of some of my work so far:

Emmrich scolds Spite and tells him to be respectful.

Emmrich tells Lucanis that his & Spite's souls survived because they were together and Lucanis is just like *stink face* Mierda.

Emmrich and Lucanis drink expensive wine from a tomb together and are both wine afficionados. That's canon.

Lucanis is happy to make food for Emmrich's vegetarian diet. They talk about food together. It's precious.

I'm so fucking normal about these two.
