All good! But no, that would be me and my roleplay partner. I don’t interact with a tonne of fandom Knights stuff so most of it is based on what the two of us have come up with.

I’ve honestly not seen anyone talk about Nott Senior in ages lol but it’s fun that there’s some overlap! I honestly can’t remember if I got the name from seeing someone else use it or not lol

All of them are essentially ocs lol, but we (my roleplay partner and I) have done our best to make them fit into existing lore etc. Lucernella and Ettiedette Crouch are the younger sisters of Bartemius Crouch Senior and the daughters of Caspar Crouch and Charis Black. This also makes them the aunts of Barty Crouch Junior of course. Rubeline Smoke is the wife of Bruce Mulciber Senior and mother of Bruce Mulciber Junior. She’s also known as Ruby. Kalfr Cowbell is Charity’s uncle. He married Charlise Burbage, a younger sister of Herbert Burbage, Charity’s dad. Kalfr and Charlise also had a son, Colter, aka Charity’s cousin. Spyromine Myrdyrov Carrow is an ancestor of the Carrows Alecto and Amycus. Amphimus Soot Flint is the grandfather of Marcus Flint, the Slytherin Quidditch Captain we meet in the original series. He is also the brother of Augusta Flint who later becomes Augusta Longbottom, Frank Longbottoms’s mother and Neville Longbottom’s grandmother. Hyppolyte and Eglantine Rosier are boy/girl twins and French Rosier family members. Their parents are Alphonse Rosier and Ilda Rosier. Ilda is a full-blooded Veela and Alphonse is the brother of Felix Rosier who is the father of Alabaster Rosier (Evan Rosier’s father), Druella Rosier (Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa’s mother) and Acelin Rosier (Pandora’s father).

Ahhh alright perfect!! I figured that might be the case.

Obviously Tom is a canon name but I do tend to elongate it to Thomas ngl. The muggle factor of his name makes sense given how he’s named after a muggle after all.

Edmund Senior’s name comes from Edmund Junior’s name lol. Edmund seems to be the fandom chosen name tho I do also like the name meaning behind it (Edmund is a masculine name of Old English origin. It receives its meaning from the Old English words ēad, meaning prosperity or riches, and mund, meaning protector.) Edmund Senior especially would like to live up the meaning of his name and I also think this is the kind of name it makes sense for Herschel Avery (his father) to name his son.

Bruce Senior once again comes from Bruce Junior. This is probably the name I’ve got the least thoughts on because the only reason I started using it was because of the general fandom using it for Bruce Junior.

Tiberius was originally named Oliver and we changed that cause we thought it was too “normal”. After all his dad is called Cantankerus so giving him a name that was too normal didn’t make quite sense. Tiberius comes from the second Roman emperor and in this context it represents how Cantankerus had a desperate desire to rise in rank and power, specifically through his son. While the Nott family tries to hide it, they are also the family in the Knights (save for Tom of course) that have the biggest connection to Muggle society, hence why Cantankerus felt the need to come up with the list of the sacred 28 and of course including the Nott family. Tiberius Senior also married a half-blood witch himself (Gladys Alder) which further added to the muggle connection.

Félicien is a name I didn’t have a lot to say about lol, as it was picked by my roleplay partner. It means happy, fortunate and successful which seems somewhat ironic given the character. Though there is also a small connection to the Roman name Felicianus so even if it’s only through the Roman origins of their names there’s a small connection with Félicien and Tiberius lol. I think this name was chosen more with it being more French leaning in mind but of course I don’t know.

There are definitely more wizard-y names in their general generation tho, like Lucernella and Ettiedette Crouch, Rubeline Smoke, Kalfr Cowbell, Spiromine Myrdyrov Carrow, Amphimus Soot Flint, and Hyppolyte and Eglantine Rosier, they’re just not part of the Knights nor characters that I’ve gotten to talk about all that much lol
