This is my magic ring of yarn. This is Pendragon yarn in fingering weight that is a color collection all headed to Rhinebeck NY Sheep and Wool festival. Our farm name comes from Arthurian stories and myths. And I see one part of all these stories as a bit of a struggle between the secular and the magical. And, that is very tied up with people’s struggle between what they can control and what they can’t. And that connects to my life long experience with art - - the medium and material you can manipulate and express With the greater visual and sensory experience of art that you cannot control. Happy November! If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I post about music all the time. I run a music blog that lives mostly here now (but will hopefully have another annual end of the year favorites post that takes hours and hours of creative writing and I have a feeling will come out maybe very late this year haha) and I’ve been sharing my New Music Friday playlists pretty consistently (and with great joy) over the last year! At the start of this brand new month, I also want to share one of my other fav playlist (I still like to call them mixtapes idk!) projects that rotates monthly. Every month, I take all the music recs I get from friends, family, y’all’s IG stories, music blogs, musicians I love, Shazamming set break music from touring bands, all the screenshots I take of songs, late night txts reminding me of old songs or tipping me off to new ones, EVERYTHING from EVERYWHERE! Cuz MUSIC is MAGIC and it’s all around us! I put ‘em all on a big ‘ol shuffle approved 🔀 playlist, and play it whenever I don’t know what I wanna listen to! I’ll be honest, some of it sucks! But most of it’s great! Y’all know what’s cool! 100% of the music that I recommend to people… I heard about from someone cooler than me! The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang

(Series 5, Episodes 12-13)

Summary: Van Gogh delivers a roundabout and tenuous message about the TARDIS exploding via Churchill and River Song, which leads the Doctor to Stonehenge in AD102, where River is posing as Cleopatra and hanging out with the Roman army.  The Pandorica, which is buried beneath Stonehenge, is about to open.  All the baddies from the history of Doctor Who turn up to witness this, but who or what exactly is inside?  The contents of Amy’s bedroom have fallen through the crack in her wall into reality to form a trap leading to one of the direst ever cliff-hanger endings to Part 1.  But, you know, no one is ever really forgotten and if they can be remembered, they can come back *lalala timeywimey magicmagicmagic*
