Shapes shapes shapes!

When makingeyes, you need to keep in mind the shape of them, especially for Mewtwo’s because they have certain eye shapes. Keep in mind, you do want to round the edges slightly so it isn’t insanely sharp

Next is proportions, Mewtwo’s face is ridiculously small, and the eyes dont align the same way human’s do. It tends to arch up, and there needs to be room for a snout as well

Here’s an example of too big eyes

While technically its a style most tend to fall towards, the eyes basically span the entire face, it looses design elements and the eye tends to draw an unnatural amount of attention because that’s the only thing to look at

You see the arches where the eye should be, eyes should fall on the edge of the ‘eyebrow’ line and the bridge of the nose, it leaves a proportion that’s normal and natural for a Mewtwo. Not too different from how Human eyes have proportions from the top of the ear to the bridge of the nose

This is a more natural look, you’ll notice that i rounded the bottom under the proportion line. It’s okay to go a little out of the way of it, but not to the point of wild exaggeration

I also noticed that on you’re art specifically, you tend to push the eye’s towards the edge of you’re mewtwo’s face.

Using an example of your character Thing to showcase it better

Giving that space from the edge of your Mewtwo ‘s face allows a better proportion to them and gives them a more real feeling to it.

I won’t say that my way is the is all end all, but i do hope it helps some!

Can anyone give me any hints on how to draw eyes? I want to draw better eyes for my Mewtwos and humans, at least for when they are grown up. I just want to know how to draw eyes!!!!....you know, like anime eyes, or eyes that aren't like mine....? Plz?
