Arudha Lagna in the Signs
Arudha Lagna is how others perceive us (especially society/public/media). It is our projected and illusionary personality. Referred to as “the seat of Maya” Maya=illusion/Rahu. Which usually differs from our true personality represented by our Lagna/ Ascendant.
How to calculate Arudha Lagna?
1. Find your Lagna/ascendant the Lord (Aries ascendant-> Mars)
2. Count how many houses from your ascendant Lord to your ascendant. (ex. how many houses mars is from ascendant= 8 houses)
3. Count that same number from Ascendant lord. That is your Arudha Lagna (ex. 8 houses away from mars= Aquarius AL)
Benefics sitting in the Arudha can give a positive public image. Making one appear good and trustworthy, even if they aren’t.
Malefics sitting in the Arudha/or ruling the sign can tarnish one’s reputation, making the public distrustful or critical.
For example- Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu sitting in AL can tarnish one’s reputation
Signs ruled by Malefics such as Scorpio (Mars & Ketu), Aries (Mars), Capricorn & Aquarius ( Saturn) doesn’t have as severe of an effect as a malefic siting in AL. But it does make one appear controversial or questionable to public at some point in time.
AL In Aries- Bold, competitive, intimidating, leader, pioneer, aggressive, action oriented, sexual/ promiscuous
Women tend to be accused of competing with other women or men competing with other men
Ex. Marilyn Monroe, Christina Aguilera, Muhammad Ali, Tyra Banks
AL in Taurus- Stable, grounded, Sensual, refined, gentle, patient, charismatic, trustworthy, noticed for voice, stubborn
Usually seen as harmless or down to earth. Like Libra, Venus ruled, they tend to be known for their sensuality & looks
Ex. Keanu Reeves, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars
AL in Gemini- intellectual, witty, youthful, curious, versatile, social, communicative, recognition from siblings
Tend to be recognized for their unique voice
Ex. Beyoncé, Madonna, Rita Hayworth, Mariah Carey
AL in Cancer- Sensitive, Gentle, Homebody, Comforting, Nurturing, Proud of country/heritage/family, Protective, intuitive, Caring, Empathetic, Moody, emotional
Home dynamics or family life can be put on the spotlight. Others see them a caring, mother like figure (unless malefic influence)
Ex. Princess Diana, JonBenét, Brandy
AL in Leo- Charismatic, Authoritative, creative, dramatic, Natural Leader, Arrogant, Center of Attention, Performer/arts, fashionable, someone of importance, Extroverted
Spotlight is always on them so they tend to gain fame & attention in whatever they do. Type to feel like all eyes are on you when entering a room.
Ex. Al Capone, Catherine Hepburn, Halle Berry, The Weeknd
AL in Virgo- Analytical, practical, intelligent, resourceful, reserved, health conscious, detail oriented, logical, rational, educated
They come off as controlled and put together. Can’t get them to react easily.
Ex. Prince Harry, Bruce Lee, Jennifer Lawrence
AL in Libra- Charming, diplomatic, balanced, harmonious, sociable, peaceful, intellectual, good at negotiating/comunicating, influential, Justice seeking
Tend to be either known for their beauty, charisma, or justice/law industry.
Ex. Monica Bellucci, Oprah, lady Gaga, Aubrey Hepburn, Barack Obama
AL in Scorpio- Mysteroius, intense, powerful, secretive, magnetic, respected, morally grey, dark, sexual/sexy, controversial, sensual, occultist/witch/astrologer, taboo, hiding secrets, Spiritual dangerous, seductive
Due to malefic Mars/Ketu influence they do tend to be very controversial but despite this they still turn out to be respected
Ex. Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Pamela Anderson, John F Kennedy, Jim Morrison, Bill Gates
AL in Sagittarius- Optimistic, philosophical, adventurous, independent, wise, free-spirited, benevolent, Justice seeking, educated, Humorous, experienced, travels a lot
They are seen as knowledgeable and in-tune with other cultures. They make good comedians, business owners, teachers
Ex. Jeff Bezos, Jacqueline Kennedy, Adam Ant, Demi Moore, Hugh Hefner
AL in Capricorn- Ambitious, disciplined, responsible, structured. authoritative, grounded, serious, mature, dignified, sturn, wiser than age, melancholy, pessimistic, cold
The list is questionable because Saturn influence can, like I said, make one appear questionable depending on other influences. But they make good leaders, business owners.
Ex. Lana del Rey, Adolf Hitler, Charlie Chaplin, Angela Merkel, Brad Pitt
AL in Aquarius- Innovative, unconventional, intellectual, humanitarian, forward-thinking, eccentric, unorthodox, friendly, good with media/technology, rebellious, cares about welfare of society/world, leader, influencer
People usually say their style, ideas & attitude are ahead of their time, due to Rahu.
Ex. Steve Irwin, Cher, Tamera Mowry
AL in Pisces-Spiritual, imaginative, empathetic, dreamy, otherworldly, artistic, siren like, mysterious, gentle, kind, serious, spiritual/devoted, adventurous, open-minded, philosophical, interested in higher learning/knowledge, introverted, emotional
Seen as creative, artistic (music, art, acting etc). Inventing/creating something new. Emotional imbalance/mental illnesses might get public attention
Ex. Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Elon Musk, Picasso, Ariana Grande
Disclaimer- some of the people I listed have two Arudha Lagnas (ie Scorpio Asc or Aquarius Asc) ex Princess Diana Cancer & Aquarius AL
I tried to find both positive & negative representations
Astromartine has a very knowledgeable playlist; going more in depth for each Arudha Lagna & Arudha houses

Vedic astrology observations
Part 11
Or rather: information that I think people forget or do not consider
Enjoy 💕
1. Your Rahu and Ketu axis (signs, nakshatras, houses) is extremely important. To understand and live your life story, you have to look into those placements. Any planet associated with them (conjunct one of them) automatically becomes a crucial part of a person's life story and the themes represented by those planets or planet are like lessons you keep learning or themes you keep bumping into along the journey. There is a highly mythological element to Rahu and Ketu as they are always connected and they always tell a story.
2. Your Ascendant is the filter that everything in your chart goes through while expressing itself. I understood the true nature of the ascendant while revisiting the themes of my ascendant nakshatra and thinking that it was so like me, so me, and yet, it was not really me on the inside, it did not fully feel like me, I just lived it. Ascendant is like the thing you just have to do and go through but even though it's so present and so important, diving too deep into and overthinking those characteristics of yours may not be so healthy. Ascendant is basically the themes of Aries (natural ruling sign of the 1st house) and those include the struggles and uncomfortable sensations that a person has while coming into the body. You may not feel like your Ascendant or connect to it like you connect to your moon but you still live out its themes in the grand scheme of things. And it's important to treat it as what it is_ uniquely important but different from planetary influences. In a way, it's also "mythological" for a person, in a sense that its themes are obvious to everyone (sometimes it can be so straightforward and "in your face" that it might be dismissed) and directly associated with a native's life but it's first and foremost those things, not a deeply buried mystery in a person to be uncovered.
(In short: accept and love your ascendant, embrace it but don't overthink it and do not try to fix it or change it. It is what it is and it does not have to be deeply personal. You cannot really escape it. )
3. Malefics are not always malefics (except maybe the nodes). Saturn, for example, is traditionally malefic for every chart but that does not mean that it gives every single person a really hard time. Unlike other traditional malefics (Mars and Sun) Saturn is directly associated with "hard times", difficulties and obstacles in general. Malefics and Benefics can be personal, and those depend on the ascendant. If a planet rules houses that are considered "negative", even if it's a traditional benefic, then it becomes malefic. The same applies when traditional malefics rule "positive" houses. This is not the exact rule, as sometimes a planet can rule both a "good" and a "bad" house. You can search for benefics and malefics for every ascendant online, it's easily found.
Having Saturn as a benefic is an enormous advantage. Saturn is the real deal. Whatever it gives, you can rely on it. You might struggle with its lessons but once you're done, the reward is true and truly valuable. I've found that, for me personally (Saturn is a benefic for me), Saturn antardashas were never as horrible as people described, and the areas of my life that were represented by the houses that Saturn was transiting in my chart were actually going as I wanted, in many ways. Because I'm also familiar with Saturn's energies (I have Sun conjunct Saturn on the same degree), I have understood its patterns of working in my life from early on. Humility is natural for me, but that does not mean that I don't struggle with it. The good thing about a benefic Saturn is that struggle itself is not a struggle, I'm accustomed to Saturnian energies and as many people have said, including me, Saturn rewards as solidly as it punishes. Saturn is great, I like Saturn.
4. D9 (navamsa) signs work as a layer rather than an alternate chart. The signs are like understones to the D1 and color the native's personality in a truly meaningful way. It's subtle, but it is, in fact, important. I think any individual resonates to people who share one or more D9 big three (Sun, Moon, Ascendant) with them. True for me. I think that even if they're not exactly compatible based on D1, when D9 big three signs (at least one) are the same, there's a natural understanding on a subtle but meaningful level. And you know how you should technically resonate to multiple based on D1 but only a fraction of them feel truly resonant to you for some reason? They likely share D9 big three signs with you.
I'd like to quickly state here, for the hundredth time, that there are no nakshatras in D9 or any divisional chart for that matter. Online calculations might show them but they also show outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto_ only used in tropical) in nakshatras too, so...
I have multiple posts about this and you're very welcome to read them but I can't deal with more insufficient arguments like "it's debated", "some people say it's really accurate". Like, think for your yourselves, and maybe after reading my posts about that you can come to your conclusion about if they make sense or not.
Some observations about D9 big three (any) in some signs:
Aries: action-oriented and unintentionally blunt, sometimes don't realize how they act, self-reflection is a bit of a struggle but they still do it, can act without thinking much.
Gemini: cerebral and often in their head, love variety, trust their mind more than their intuition or feelings or gut, can analyze too much, versatile, flexible, naturally social.
Cancer: unbelievably sensitive and can be passive-agressive, understanding but self-focused, can be aviodant, not really direct, comfort means a lot to them, secretive but their small actions betray them, may need time to process things, kind-of self involved but often unaware of it.
Leo: pretty direct, love to properly indulge in everything they do, don't like lukewarm or "half here half there" people, basically put their heart into everything, can be too fixed or rigid in their views, value loyalty.
Virgo: have a pure and "clean" aura, simple (in a good way), often express themselves in a clear, precise and clinical way (no matter how they really feel), often they are minimalists, can freeze when they're anxious.
Libra: hate agression, others may accuse them of not having a spine, truly undersranding but also impartial.
Scorpio: no matter how it looks_ they are serious and intense, understand how manipulation works, may feel like outcasts, a tad bit (or not so slightly) vengeful, very protective of their energy.
Pisces: sensitive and flexible, can understand almost anyone and anything, humble yet detached, have something ethereal about their aura, have a broad viewpoint, may have something about them that makes them look like they're "lost".
Do not have substantial info to share about Taurus, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius navamsas in big three, yet.
5. The strength or influence of any planet in any chart should also be observed from the placement of the planet itself, not from just activations in the nakshatras and signs ruled by them. Of course, those have their influence too, but if we're talking about tge influence from two opposite planets, for example, Sun and Saturn, and a native happens to have a nakshatra ruled by one of them (and does not have a nakshatra ruled by the other) in big three, you should still see if that other planets falls in the 1st or the 2nd house or is conjunct any of the big three (maybe even chart ruler, atmakaraka or Ketu). Chances are that person might feel influenced by that other planet, especially if that first planet is not in good dignity. All planets each manifest their influence differently when they're present as nakshatra rulers from the influence of their own placements.
6. The destiny of Rahu in signs, simplified:
Aries: to act
Taurus: to enjoy
Gemini: to communicate/get across
Cancer: to be safe
Leo: to express
Virgo: to cleanse/purify
Libra: to balance
Scorpio: to transform
Sagittarius: to explore
Capricorn: to build
Aquarius: to influence
Pisces: to transcend
The base/foundation of Ketu in signs, simplified:
Aries: identity
Taurus: resources
Gemini: intelligence/intellect
Cancer: safety
Leo: self-posession
Virgo: clarity
Libra: balance/harmony
Scorpio: depth
Sagittarius: truth
Capricorn: status
Aquarius: influence
Pisces: wisdom
Just a reminder: astrology is best learned from observing and double/triple/quadruple checking the facts yourself. Despite this, the mythological nature of it makes intuitive perception kind of necessary to truly grasp it and understand it. I'd advise to write down your observations or to note them otherwise but do not share them or be sure of them unless you have sufficient proof and enough examples. Also, sometimes your personal experience and a pattern you're very familiar with is enough, there's no need to find an example from media or celebrities. I feel like everyone is just throwing random senstences around on astrology blogs these days and very few of them actually say something of value or make sense.
That's one of the reasons why I'd really appreciate confirmations from you in comments or reblogs or otherwise, on this and other posts too. My posts get a lot of likes but not many get enough comments or reblogs and yeah it would be nice to make my posts more visible, but mainly I just want genuine feedback from people. That's why I want more exposure anyways. So, if you want to comment your example(s) or personal impressions do not think that you're being annoying, that's exactly what I want.

Day/Night charts and understanding their difference is key, to understanding anybody
Today, if you haven’t paid attention yet, I want you to pull out your chart and see whether you have a day or night chart. This will really help you understand not only yourself and why you are the way you are, but also your life.
in a day chart, the diurnal planets are going to be more influential, whether you want it or not. Think: Sun, Jupiter and Saturn. the power of the moon, Venus and mars is less potent, unless perhaps one of them is your chart ruler.
in a night chart, it is the nocturnal planets that have the upper hand: the moon, Venus and mars. The sun, Saturn and Jupiter not as much, (again unless one of them is your chart ruler)
the reason why I think this is so important to address is because, it can really help you understand a thing or two about yourself, or your loved one. I’ve seen these two charts manifest in completely different ways, which is really interesting:
one out of many examples:
my mother and I both share a Saturn in the 6th house. however, she has a day chart whereas I have a night chart. You already see where this is going
Her Saturn in the 6th house played out much more apparently than mine, as it showed up in her physical and perhaps even mental health. (this is not an age thing either, this problem has been an ongoing issue since her younger years).
my Saturn in the 6th house manifested completely differently and less potently for sure, since I have a night chart, therefore Saturn as a malefic isn’t as powerful. my Saturn is also not terribly placed (+ it’s my chart ruler and my amk). This is also a matter of aspects surely, but the concept of day and night charts also plays into it majorly.
! However, don’t think that just because you have a night chart, Saturn can’t have shit on you baby, no
It simply means that mars is your dominant malefic. take a look at your mars, what house it’s in, its aspects.
I have an ashlesha mars in the 7th house, conjunct mercury for example. that’s a conversation for another time (not as bad as you think, promise), so maybe my Saturn doesn’t do a lot of damage but I have to keep an eye out for my mars to not crash me out (dramatic way of putting this quite frankly, but yeah.)
-
In a day chart, your benefic, the planet you’ll profit from the most, will be Jupiter, watch out for the house its in, even the nakshatra, its aspects
In a night chart, look at Venus to understand your benefits (house, nakshatra, aspects), it will explain a lot of things.
Ex.: my mother has a jupiter in the 7th house, she got lucky in her second marriage, got married to a successful foreigner blablabla which is all I’ll say. Me on the contrary, with my Jupiter in the 8th house I can’t complain either you know but my jupiter isn’t THAT strong. it came through a lot of the times in my life, when I needed it, but it was always a “last resort kinda situation. what I mean, is jupiter isn’t very present in my day to day life as a benefic, I don’t profit from it regularly. but only when it “truly matters”. it’s just watching out for my ass kinda.
however my 5th house rohini Venus, is much more expressive and present. I benefit from my Venus placement regularly and in my day to day life. It is very present and puissant.
think of Jupiter in a night chart as the guard outside your house who watches out for robbers, you don’t see him much he does his job though. Venus, think of her as your partner who is with you daily in the house and outside, and pampers you based on what house and nakshatra she’s in.
In a day chart, logically, Venus is gonna be the guard outside that comes through when she hits the fan from time to time, but it is jupiter who you truly spend time with and benefit from.
Interesting, right?
-
Last but not least
if you have a day chart, then chances are your sun sign resonates more with you. In case of a night chart, you’ll act more like your moon sign.
My mother is a purva bhadrapada sun, her shatabhisha moon is recessive.
I’m a punarvasu sun, rohini moon. Rohini is far more dominant, and people tend to guess my moon sigh rather than my sun sign.
Much love, let me know what you think

[ Mayhem ]
Harbinger of Chaos, Herald of Entropy.
infos about Mayhem! :
Mayhem has been around a LONG time. As a physical manifestation of Disorder, he's a neutral party who pops in and out of universes and brings chaos to them. Shifting the balance of order is his job.
Mayhem is one of many many physical manifestations of Disorder, but all other manifestations have passed. It's heavily suspected that Mayhem killed them all. The reason for it is unknown.
Mayhem outside of doing his job is actually funnily enough a very calm person. But only outside of it.
Mayhem and Gaze have known each other a long long time as well. They get on each other's nerves. Mayhem often finds himself wondering what Cord sees in that guy.
He finds himself getting along most with the "bad sanses" aka Nightmare's bunch. He finds them entertaining.. something akin to care is blossoming within him but he doesn't wanna admit that.
Mayhem's powers consist of:
Hallucikinesis: distorting people's view on reality and making them believe something is wrong when it's not or vice versa.
Damage displacement: when afflicting pain on somebody, Mayhem has the ability to make them feel that pain elsewhere or through the entire body.
Astral Projection: taking somebody's consciousness and making them go through a false reality. ( Bro usually lives in this portal dimension btw )
Intangibility: he can walk through walls. He likes to do that sometimes. Makes him feel funny.
He can also turn his head 270 degrees like an owl.
He technically can create clones of himself but he hates doing that so unless something happens it's really truly a last resort.
Nightmare and Mayhem:
Mayhem and Nightmare met while Nightmare and his gang were out to destroy a seemingly peaceful au. However Mayhem had been there first. The people were going insane, riots happening left and right, people killing each other all the while a sole entity was sat on a tree stump observing with a freakish smile. By all accounts this au was supposed to be incredibly docile and tranquil, yet they were standing amidst endless bloodshed. It had captivated Nightmare... The amount of negativity derived from pure nothingness.
Nightmare has repeatedly offered Mayhem to join him, however Mayhem has refused every time. To wreak havoc on the balance, he must remain a neutral party member.
However Mayhem has visited Nightmare often since their encounter. Mayhem finds he has a fascination for Nightmare. A fascination that he hasn't felt in a long long time.
He has developed a care for Nightmare and his bunch. A feeling he thought he'd long since forgotten. He used to poke fun at Gaze for finding love in the fleeting things, yet here he was.
He finds himself cooking and baking with Horror, learning about food and sustenance.
He finds himself helping people like Killer and Dust by simply lending an ear or helping them calm down through conversation.
He finds himself giving advice to Cross on how to read others and their stances while fighting.
And he finds himself maybe even a little in Love with a certain someone. ^^
[ Nightmare belongs to the lovely Jokublog ! ]
[ Horror belongs to the lovely Sour-Apple-Studios ! ]
[ Dust belongs to the lovely Ask-Dusttale ! ]
[ Killer belongs to the lovely Rahafwabas ! ]
[ Cross belongs to the lovely Jakei95 ! ]

A quick info(?) to understand dynamics:
Venus, Jupiter and Sun are abundant and giving.
The rest of the planets are receptive in one way or another.
Saturn receives and limits/crystalizes
Mercury receives and manipulates
Ketu receives and absorbs completely
Rahu receives and projects outwardly
Moon receives gives back the smoothed mixture of what it recieved
Mars receives and builds/protects.
Out of these, Mars and Rahu look active, but they are not energetically abundant. Mars can sometimes be tho, depending on how much of the energy is left in them, but it's still not giving, it's protective.
The three giving plantes do not give in the same way either.
Venus only gives to whom and what it considers worthy but then, when it chooses, it gives its all.
Jupiter gives to everyone and everything, especially to those who it thinks need it most.
The Sun does not give out of love or dependency per se, but it's natural for it to spread its influence, like the Sun can't help but shine its rays on everyone and everything, without encouraging exchnage(like with Venus) or dependancy(Jupiter).

With the way evangelical and fundamentalist Tik-Tok throw around the word "demon" it's very obvious how they want you to feel when confronted with that word- Vulnerable. Helpless. Afraid.
Now I've already touched on the origin of the word "demon" on this blog but today, in terms of any and all malefic entities, I'd like to tell you something-
You are not helpless.
It's true. A malefic entity can be worrying, and bothersome, as well as inconvenient but one thing I've learned in my practice is this- malefic entities are like bears. To scare one off you simply have to convince it that you are the biggest, baddest mother fucker in the woods.
Sometimes you can do this on your own. You can throw down a circle. You can carry some iron, or silver. You can find a holy word that keeps the darkness at bay.
You can do it with help. You can call upon a god. You can summon an angel. You can even make arrangements with another demon.
If you want, you can even pray to the Saints. To the Mother Mary. To Jesus and, yes, even to God- though it certainly doesn't have to be their version.
Helpless?
Please. So many cultures haven't been practicing warding and banishment for centuries, from the mau olhado to Appalachian face jugs, just for some milk-toast, Christian influencer with a Stanley cup to tell their people they are messing with "forces beyond their understanding".

The beauty in malefic and benefic ideas in astrology is it helps us understand not everything can be positive all the time within the practice/subject.
The problem with malefic and benefic ideas is that it leaves little room for complexity or gray areas.

the concept/attribution/signification of saturn and mars being malefic is
✨interesting.✨
despite saturn being the greater malefic and mars being the lesser one, both bring some and same sort of, idk, inharmoniousness (lol i am using this word instead of 'unfortunate' because it felt iffy in using 'unfortunate' now im sorry lol)
saturn as a malefic is attributed to slow movement, delay through obstacles, straightforward delays where you have to simply push through it. mars' malefic-ness is also delay, because malefic planets generally do that, though, mars' delay is being fast. mars' delay is deciding fast and going at it without thinking of regrouping, straying you from the path where you are supposed to follow, thus delaying you. you delay yourself by trying to find and use a shortcut.
it's funny because the plot twist is they can be interchangeable.

Could you tell us some about Phil’s vedic astrology?
So, a bit of a difficult question, because I do better with specifics... By that, I mean, when it came to Dan's chart, I was looking solely at his branding, and his fame, and that was the point. With Phil, I'm not sure what exactly it is that people would like me to talk about. A specific subject would be good to analyse, perhaps.
That said, if I look at Phil's chart, certain things do pop out to me, and those are interesting... So, lets discuss Phil's status as a niche icon, I think, because that is what his entire chart points to... This post is going to be even more technical than Dan's chart, because with Dan, I was only looking at Dan's branding, and the one single placement that impacted it (a lot I left out in that essay bc I could go on forever). Meanwhile, Phil's chart has more things going on, and I can't point to one single placement for one subject...
Once more, a disclaimer about how I'm uninterested in discussing whether astrology is real or not, and I'm mostly looking at the patterns and pointing out what could be coincidences.
So, Phil's first house contains Saturn and Venus, in the sign of Scorpio. These planets don't generally tend to do very well in the first house, because both of these planets are inherently related to those outside of you. As in, Saturn relates to society and community, while Venus relates to lovers and partners. These planets are friendly to each other as well, because Saturn exalts in Libra, which is ruled by Venus.
In a sense, Phil's chart is very Saturn led, with his Moon, Mercury, and Sun in the sign of Capricorn, and Jupiter in Aquarius (both signs ruled by Saturn). His Saturn is ruled by Mars in pisces, which is ruled by Jupiter, and his Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter sort of loop back to each other, making these influences strongest in his chart.
Saturn and Mars are malefic planets, both related to struggles and pain, so Phil has an extremely high tolerance for a lot of the problematic things that occur in his life. Because Jupiter, the planet of wisdom and optimism is also involved in this loop, he tends to take hardships as lessons, and tends to zoom past them.
Saturn is related to people who are marginalized, outcast, and somehow not accepted by the rest of society. A lot of times, it can indicate being part of a community that is somehow ostracized. The gay community is one of these communities. In the modern world, Saturn often presents as extremely alternative.
Saturn is often associated with ugliness in the ancient texts, but almost every beauty icon in the modern world has very strong Saturn placements. So, that is something that should be taken with a pinch of salt. What is more accurate to say is that Saturn gives people an unconventional look, which can be shocking to the eyes. They have something to offer that the rest of the world does not, something different. They tend to be trendsetters in their field, people who change the game.
Something I find very interesting that Phil has said is that he never related to the emo look, but that he had the emo look because he wanted to attract emo boys. This relates very much to his Saturn and Venus in the first house. I personally would interpret Venus in first house as him being attracted to people who he relates to, but because of Saturn (which numbs down ego and personal emotion, because it is about the other), he wasn't fully able to feel the way he felt.
Phil's first house is ruled by Mars in Pisces, in the 5th house, which is sitting with Rahu. This particular placement feels more to him like him, than other placements, because a Martian sign in first house is quite good. This makes him someone who gets attention (rahu) for his creativity (5th house). Phil's Rahu mahadasha (great rahu phase) was from 1993 to 2011. During this time is when I suspect baby Phil's habit of lying for attention really came into the picture, like when he lied about having a very cool twin brother (Rahu rules glamour and fakeness, which, in babies, can come across as lying to look more glamourous).
Rahu gives a sort of temporary fame and virality, and the fame given by Rahu doesn't usually last for too long. However, there is a way that fame can last for a longer time, and that is through Saturn, the planet of time, community, and public reputation.
I'm going to guess that 2004 to 2005 (his ketu antardasha, sub ketu phase within the greater rahu phase) was a difficult time for Phil, because he lost a lot of what he built, maybe he was exposed in a way he didn't want to be, but it was also a time when he learnt to be more true to himself, which is something that he took with him when his next phase of life (venus antardasha) started. I suspect this was the time when he was outed to his friends.
Phil's Venus antardasha was from 2005 to 2008, which is around the time where he established his aesthetic, based on what he was attracted to. To actually feel like himself, Phil always will have to figure out what he's attracted to, and become that person. When he does this, he finds that the kind of people who he wanted in his life were just flocking to him without him doing anything about it.
Phil made his youtube account during his Venus antardasha, and his Venus is sitting with Saturn, their qualities intermingling. Anything that he does in pursuit of love or relationships is likely to last for a long time for Phil. He won't be able to do casual relationships, whether with people, or with work, they'll fizzle out almost immediately unless its meant to last.
Saturn's downside, to a large extent, comes from the fact that... People with strong Saturn associated with the self, are often not treated like full people, but rather, as icons. A lot of times, because Saturn is such a stoic planet, people do not feel as attached to Saturn. Parasociality is hard to build with a planet like Saturn. Saturn tends to show up most as a planet that rules servants. It is associated with fame, because, in many ways, celebrities provide a service to society, through sharing their talent.
Saturn as a planet of service is interesting, because something that Phil would do with his fame as a young youtuber was to be a strong part of the community, collaborate a lot, and even with youtubers who weren't as big a deal as he was. Showing off his creativity with his videos is one aspect, but another, bigger aspect, was the community he was part of, and he was sort of a pillar in that community. He would encourage other youtubers, and give them exposure (like he did with Dan, LOL).
However, Saturn becomes such a part of the community that, outside of their field of interest (where they garner a LOT of respect and appreciation), they tend to become just another face in the crowd. A lot of what is special about them is taken away by the masses they serve, and there usually isn't enough personality left to keep an audience hooked. The 7 second challenge, and the toilet tag are prime examples of this, kind of. Popular concepts invented by Phil, but taken by so many people that it can't be traced back to him.
Something to think about is that with Phil, it's not JUST that he is creative. I mean, of course he is, but actually, his bigger strength is timing, and keeping up with the current trends, and the need of the hour. His Rahu in 5th house is very prominent, and is what makes him creative, however, his real strength is Ketu in the 11th house of community, which gives him a sort of intuition with what the audience will be most receptive to. 11th house is also associated with Saturn, btw.
Saturn does create icons, but it creates niche icons. Icons to people in the know, sort of. The inspiration for a lot of those people who gain much more popularity than they do. To gain mainstream popularity, what you need is not just Saturn, but strong Sun (which is being EXTREMELY good at doing something conventional) or strong Moon (very good branding, gets the audience invested in you as a person). Phil has a weaker Moon, and an okay Sun, however, Dan has a very very strong Moon. So, a lot of the mainstream flowers that Phil gets in the public are also due to Dan standing up for him in the public eye.
Right now, Phil is not in his icon era (maybe a bit. His Mars and Rahu antardasha will be going from 2024 to 2027, and that will make him go viral A LOT). He was from 1993 to 2011 (yeah, he was an iconic baby, ig. His creativity made him very popular with people who knew him), and will be again in 2027 (Saturn Mahadasha, where he will be known more for himself, and maybe for his relationship. which is lowkey the same thing to him).
Right now, he is in his Jupiter mahadasha, which is Jupiter in Aquarius, in 4th house. Jupiter gives wisdom and luck, but doesn't really relate to fame in the same way, and in the 4H, it gives a blessed home life. Unfortunately, his Jupiter and 4H is the sign of Aquarius, which relates heavily to the public, just as Saturn does. Not the best sign for a house that is about comfort, home, and emotional security. During his Jupiter Mahadasha, Phil has dealt a lot with the concept of the public, the private life, striking that balance, and creating his boundaries. The public feels entitled to his private life, and they show it. Phil cannot be away from the public life, the way Dan sometimes can, and he knows it. But, navigating his private life along with his work is something he's been dealing with, and will be dealing with until 2027.
#sorry that this isn't as well organized#it's hard to fully express what I want to express here bc there's so much to talk about#fun fact: Phil's chart is far more edgy than Dan's chart#which is very funny bc of his reputation as the wholesome side of Dan and Phil#But in general I've noticed that people with strong malefic influence in their chart don't like dwelling too much on the bad stuff#because if you do that u will be bogged down#and the malefics... have their perks#the perks are money fame and respect#dan and phil#dnp#phan#daniel howell#amazingphil#dan howell#danisnotonfire#phil lester#vedic astrology#astrology#saturn

mars trine pluto (rx)
the planets may be scary but the trine is not. yes, there are power dynamics in play here. but let this be an opportunity for you to seize power where it is needed, or for you to assist in displacing injustice in favor of what is right or at least for the better.
