This is my favourite deck at the moment, and it's a big blue ramp deck, primarily using manarocks to ramp into the myojin, bounce it somehow and play it again, with a side order of proliferate to keep the engines running.
I have no idea what you'd suggest for it but if you have fun mana producers somewhere I would love to see them
Tumblr media
If you want some mana-producing artifacts, here's a personal favorite:
Tumblr media
Manascape Refractor is pretty nice as soon as there's a bounceland around, yours or your opponents, and can pick up some really powerful abilities if your meta runs Dowsing Daggers, Mazes of Iths, Cabal Coffers with an Urborg out, or similarly powerful lands.
But if you want an unexpected ramp spell...
Tumblr media
Don't see this as a bad counterspell, but as a good Treasure making spell that happens to also stop one of your opponent's spells from resolving. There'll frequently be something mana value 4 or more to snap this on in Commander, and this can explosively ramp you into big turns. Mana Drain also does this if you have access to it, but this one is significantly less expensive and you might have extra synergy with the treasures if you're already supporting mana rocks.

The new Mirran Safehouse is very reminiscent of Manascape Refactor, with a few differences that I think makes it better.
First, it doesn鈥檛 come in tapped. To me, that鈥檚 pretty big, because even if someone destroys it you鈥檙e probably getting one activation at minimum.
Second, getting cards into graveyards is pretty easy. This will be great in any self mill deck that has effects like Cabal Coffers.
There are times when Refractor is better, as it allows you to double up on activated abilities of lands you have on the field. It also allows you to use mana of any color to activate abilities, so you can more easily take advantage of the opponent鈥檚 lands.
Overall, the fact that this doesn鈥檛 come in tapped makes me think it is the better of the two cards and much more willing to run it.
Which one are you running in your edh decks? Do lands decks just want both? Sound off!

So commander last year was a bit of a mess, but I believe a lot of the good cards from the set won鈥檛 get their time to shine until after COVID. I鈥檝e put together 10 cards from Commander 2020 I feel are worth taking a look at.

Verge Rangers helps filter out lands from your next draw and helps you know the top card for esper topdeck. Call the Coppercoats is a wonderfully flexible card and is a great follow up to token donation effects like Alliance of Arms.
Tidal Barracuda gives everything flash but also protects your own turn, making sure you can play what you still need to. The aid to your opponents incentivises them to not kill it immediately. Decoy Gambit鈥檚 good draw that gets better with copies from Double Vision or repeated casts. Agitator Ant is the aggressive Orzhov Advokist.
Dredge the Mire gets 3 creatures for 4, great for mill and removal heavy decks. Species Specialist is very good draw, I run it in Grismold bc EOT the board has 4 more plants that are potential draws for myself. Glademuse is a card I find interesting, its good for Kalamax but I see a later simic legendary breaking the card in half.
Twinning Staff is rad for newcomers like Krark and oldies like Riku. If your commander can copy, run one. Manascape Refractor is basically Star Compass with benefits, nab an enemy Academy Ruins or Maze of Ith for your own nefarious purposes, all on one lil manalith.

Thank you for the Urza PoK recs the last time! I鈥檓 not going to lie, I had already planned on putting masterwork mural/golem into the deck, but I really like Clay-Fired bricks. I was actually wondering if you had any other ideas about ramp for the deck. I鈥檝e been looking at things like Great Desert Prospector or Geology Enthusiast, but I feel the high cost on the ability should maybe dictate more ramp
Honeslty, you're trying to ramp into lots of mana and want artifacts. I wouldn't go very subtle there, Thran Dynamo, Gilded Lotus, Chromatic Orrery, Worn Powerstone... If you end up with a lot of these big mana artifacts, maybe a Sonic Screwdriver that can tap for one or untap for more mana later. You're in white, so you have access to plenty of excellent "catch-up" ramp from Sand Scout and Knight of the White Orchid to Scholar of New Horizons. And of course Archeomancer's Map that's also an artifact. If you go with those, you're likely to want some bouncelands and maybe a lotus field in your manabase to keep yourself "behind" on lands as you keep making land drops, which could bring Manascape Refractor onto the table as an addition Worn Powerstone with upside.
Tumblr media
But if you really want chaos, start copying Coveted Jewels with Urza. Since the token copies are creatures, you can even threaten to block with them to deny your opponents getting them, or even activate Urza in response to the trigger to get a copy after it's too late for your opponents to steal it.
But if you're planning to go wide with artifacts anyway, there's plenty of way to take advantage of that for mana too.

Alright, another sleeper, a personal favorite for all the silliness it allows. Hailing from Commander 2020 and never reprinted since, it remains a hidden gem (pun intended) and cheap at around $.5
It's a 3-mana mana rock with upside, one of the first since they started powering them up. It enters tapped, which is a bummer, but doesn't matter if you're curving with it. What upside does this mana rock have? Who knows! It depends on what you have, but also what your opponents have.
If you're very unlucky, it might just tap for any color on the battlefield. More than likely, someone will have a bounceland and it'll tap for two mana, making it a better Worn Powerstone. And then it gains all sorts of fun utility as people tend to have some utility in their manabases. A War Room? Sure! A Homeward Path? Nice to have. A Scavenger Grounds? Now you can hold up graveyard hate too. Or if you're very lucky and there's a Maze of Ith or Lotus Field running around (or you're playing those yourself), jackpot! It also gets all the abilities from the Ixalan fliplands, and a couple of those are common sights around the table, and very interesting to get a copy of. Growing Rites of Itlimoc, Thaumatic Compass, Dowsing Dagger,...
Any deck gets access to it, and I think it should be played more than it is. It is one step behind the Cursed Mirrors, Archaeomancer's Maps and Midnight Clocks of the world.
Tumblr media
You might remember I spoke highly of this card in my ONE write-ups, which is the same card keying off graveyards instead of battlefields. I do think Safehouse has a higher floor in higher powered environments, where it can camouflage as a fetchland basically always if need be, but in more casual environments, Refractor is more often useful. Most lands don't leave the battlefield once they touch it.
They're both fun and underrated options though, that I encourage you to try.
