I just moved into my apt. but i must lay out the inner thoughts I HAVE ABOUT THIS MANNNN
sorry. ik i’m a sub man poster but..i swear something possessed me to write this. (tiktok edits and my completely horribly hot and sexy dreams i’ve been having since mappa blessed this society with the fine colorings and postings of this fine one fourth danish and japanese man names kento nanam)
He held you from behind, squeezing your chest as he ran his fingertip over your nipple. A crackle of pleasure ran through you like electricity, heightening the pleasure you felt as he thrusted deep inside you, his dick hitting your g-spot like a bull charging towards a red flag.
Out of breath and sweaty, you grasped onto his big, veiny hands and whimpered as he pulled it out, slapping the tip against your clit, chuckling softly.
“Oh, what is it? You want more, hmm? Such a greedy girl, I thought you only wanted the tip..”
He snickered as he smeared his hard, engorged, red tip against your sopping wet slit, happy at the erotic sounds your bodies made.
You graded down against him trying to get him to slip it in but he quickly pulled away, tutting.
“Pu-please I..I want you so bad please..k..kento..”
You gasped as he turned your head quickly, locking you into a deep kiss, your mind already swirling and lost deep into his skin.
Mid-kiss, he brought his hips forward and sunk his dick deep into you, nearly kissing your cervix.
Your legs immediately weakened and almost gave out, but he broke the kiss and pushed you back down onto the mattress, his hand on the back of your neck as he bullied your sore pussy til you couldn’t think anymore.
Almost blind sighting you, your orgasm suddenly hit you, squeezing you down onto him, eliciting a soft cry out of him, which was drawn out as he slowly pumped ropes after ropes inside you, shivering and curling into himself as he gripped your hips til there were crescent-shaped marks on your skin.
You whimpered and sighed til you were both basking in your post orgasm glow, when you felt his back press against yours and his arm wrap around and pressing on your tummy.
“Feel like getting pregnant?”

Megumi Fushiguro as your boyfriend (SFW and NSFW headcanons)
Warnings: (for the SFW section) None honestly it's just soft fluffy stuff, it's mostly Gender Neutral, but implied fem bodied reader for one of the SFW headcanons (on periods =")), NSFW as stated in the title but it will be separated by a pic <3
A/n: AHHHHHH Happy Birthday Megumi my precious baby!!! I love him so so so much I don't even know what to say. He's so cool and I love all his shikigami sm I love animals I love Megumi I-

(Images do not belong to me. All credit goes to Gege Akutami, MAPPA, and everyone involved in the production of Jujutsu Kaisen)
SFW
Megumi… he's such a sweet boyfriend! He always looks out for you and makes sure that you're good as ever, both physically and mentally.
Megumi really loves baking and cooking simple dishes in his free time. He finds it really therapeutic and he does it whenever he has the time. He'll bake the cutest cookies, in the shape of hearts or bunnies, and give them to you after he's done decorating them <3
The two of you definitely have matching demon dogs slippers! You bought two pairs of slippers, one white and one black, and then gave one of each colour to Megumi. The two of you spent the whole day decorating the slippers to look just like his demon dogs and he even summoned them for reference on how some of their features looked!
You also bought him a bunny onesie as a joke for his birthday once… and he actually loved how comfortable it was! And of course he got all flustered when you started calling him "cute" and "adorable", but he secretly loves it when you say such things to him. He asked you to buy another one for yourself as well. So now, the two of you can match with your onesies and slippers 🥺❤️
Whenever you go out with Megumi, he always stands on the side of the pavement that's nearer to the road! He also holds your hand almost all the time, to show affection and to also pull you away in case of anything. His priority is always making sure that you're safe and sound 🥺
He loves it when you stay over in his dorm room for the night. Over the course of your relationship, it's become such a normal thing that Megumi's room is basically yours, and vice versa. His bed has plenty of your plush toys and his closet is half filled with your clothes, though he doesn't mind if you take his clothes to wear (he loves it but will never live it down). Spending the evening together before going to bed and cuddling is the highlight of his day and he loves being able to feel the warmth of your body next to his as he slowly falls asleep every night.
He showers with you quite often too. It's nothing sexual at all, just him helping to shampoo your hair and wash your back while you soap other parts of your body. He loves shaping your hair into random things since it always makes you giggle. He just loves to hear you laughing 🥺❤️ If you do the same to him, he'll smile before poking your nose gently in a affectionate manner.
Please please please play with his hair!!! He loves it!!! He'll relax into your touch as he lies on your lap, letting you take your hands through his silky hair, instantly feeling the stress from the day that just passed slowly dissipating. He might even fall asleep if he's tired enough, and of course, who are you to deny him a well deserved rest?
He acts indifferent, even annoyed at times, when you call him different nicknames. But deep down, he is absolutely in love with all the nicknames you give him. From "gumi" to "my little sea urchin", and even some of the silly ones like "sugar bunny", he absolutely loves hearing you say them and he just feels so loved when you use those nicknames. It makes him feel so special and important to you <3
Piggybacks with him! Whenever you're tired after training, or just not feeling super great, he'll piggyback you back to his dorm and help take care of you from there! Something about the intimacy of having you leaning on him, and knowing that he's the one supporting and carrying you that makes him feel warm on the inside, like it was always something he was yearning for and finally got.
He prefers reading non-fiction books but if you ever recommend a book to him, no matter what genre or how long it is, he always makes sure to read it so that he can share his thoughts with you. It's his way of bonding with you, talking about a book you've both read and sharing your opinions with each other.
When you're on your period, he'll take extra good care of you. From making you your favourite drinks, to reading a book to help you fall asleep more quickly, Megumi does anything he can to make you feel better and relax. If you ever have cramps, he'll be summoning his shikigami to play with you in an attempt to distract you from the pain.
He's a very prepared boyfriend, so you never have to worry about forgetting things or emergency situations. It's raining suddenly? Don't worry, he has an umbrella to share with you. It got cold despite it being hot just a while ago? He's got a jacket for you. You forgot to take your water bottle and you're thirsty? He brought his, so you can share with him!
Overall, he's super sweet and kind about everything, and he's always looking out for you! Even if he isn't the best at expressing himself and his emotions, he makes sure that you know just how much he loves you ❤️

NSFW (Gender Neutral reader) (Megumi is aged up here!!!)
Warnings: Praise kink (both giving and receiving), oral (giving and receiving), overstimulation, switch!megumi, riding him, orgasm control, edging, pet names (baby, good boy, darling)
Honestly, Megumi is quite vanilla when it comes to sex. He doesn't want to cross any boundaries and make you feel uncomfortable, so he'll be super gentle and careful with you when you first start out, unless you tell him otherwise.
He hardly initiates anything because he's worried that you aren't in the mood for it. He starts to kiss you and give you hickeys all over your neck to kinda build the atmosphere and it just… carries on from there. Before he knows it, you're straddling him and grinding on his growing bulge in his pants. And that's when he'll ask you if it's ok to continue, because consent is everything to him and he doesn't want to do something you don't want! 🥺
His favourite position is definitely missionary. He loves that he can see your expression, not just to see all your different expressions while he pleasures you, but also to make sure that you're not in any pain whatsoever. He loves that he's able to kiss your face and lips whenever he wants too!
He definitely has a praise kink. He loves telling you just how good you make him feel, just how well you're taking him, taking all of him in you, being his good little precious baby and making him feel so damn good. And if you tell him how good he feels inside of you, he will melt internally and start kissing you all over your face. He adores it when you tell him how you're just full of him, being so ruined all just for him and just how good he's making you feel <3
He doesn't mind if you offer to give him a handjob or blowjob, but he much rather go down on you and make you cum at least thrice from just his mouth alone. You'll be crying and begging for him to stop because it's just too much but he won't unless you use your safeword. He knows that you enjoy it, and he enjoys it just as much, so he won't be stopping anytime soon 😉
Loves it when you ride him! Maybe he's had a stressful day and just wants to be taken care of, or maybe he just wants you to be in control, but no matter what, when Megumi is more vulnerable and desperate than usual, he wants nothing more than for you to ride him and make him cum over and over again. It's a bonus if he's came once, twice, maybe even thrice and just as he's reaching one of his last orgasms for the night, you tell him that he can't cum yet, because good boys only cum when they're told.
And if you tell him that he gets to control your orgasm, be prepared. He'll edge for goodness knows how long, and just as you're on the verge of cumming, the kind of sensation that you can cum with just one more thrust from him, he'll pull out and kiss your forehead, telling you that you're his "pretty baby", his "wonderful darling", telling you to wait just a little longer for your high.
Aftercare with him is super important! He'll carry you to the bathroom if you're too tired or sore and run you a bath with some bath salts while he changes the bedsheets. Then he joins you in the bath and lets you lean on him and relax fully while he tells you how good you were for him, kissing the top of your head over and over again.
Megumi is a super gentle boyfriend, even in bed, and he'll never cross any of your boundaries. He loves you so so much and wants you to feel that love when you two are having sex <3

AHHHHHH this one is longer than the other two I made… oh well! I love Megumi so so much and he's so precious!!! I had lots of fun writing this and would've written more but it's really long already so… Anyways I hope you enjoyed reading and Happy Birthday once again to my dearest Megumi!

Teyvat's Beloved — Dawn of a New Day
< Prev | 4 | Next >
Out of everyone in the cast, Albedo was the most logical. You’d never seen him jump to conclusions, even the obvious could be still a theory to him if there wasn’t enough evidence to back it up. You’d be safe with him!
...if you could get to his camp in Dragonspine, that is.
As you were thinking through your dilemma, smushing your face against your anemo slime on your lap, another two slimes hopped over; pyro slimes. Wow, you were dumb, you should have asked if any of the pyro slimes would come with you in the first place. But you live and you learn.
“Would either of you like to come with me?” You asked, perking up. “I’m heading into Dragonspine, so it’ll be very cold.”
One slime began nudging the other toward you. With a bit of encouragement, it hopped closer to your leg, looking up to you shyly.
“I guess I’ll take that as a yes!” You grinned, patting the slime on its head before standing up. “Let’s get ready to go then.” You paused a second, looking over the camp. You’d have to say goodbye now, even if they wanted to come with, you’d draw too much attention and the Knights of Favonius would—
No. You wouldn’t let those ungrateful characters lay a finger on your friends.
Standing up, you headed into camp to explain your plan.
…
“—and you guys absolutely must keep yourselves safe while I’m gone!” You insisted, waving your hands around in an attempt to emphasize your point. “I couldn’t bear it if anything happened to you. I’ve certainly weakened them by taking back my gifts, but they’re still strong and they could really hurt you all.” You didn’t know how to express the sheer despair it would cause if you came back to even one of them harmed.
But what could you do? The Knights would continue to hunt your friends for existing, just like you. At least you had a reason, at least they were still ones and zeroes to you; could you still have harmed them if you had known?
No. Not in a million years, you decided, looking at their earnest expressions.
“If there was anything I could do, I’d—” Wait. Wasn’t there something you could do? You pulled out a Whiteblind from your inventory, one of the strongest weapons that could be forged in this world. Surely it could…
“Gift!” You announced firmly, holding it out to the nearest Mitachurl. “I’ll leave you guys with some weapons and artifacts! Use them carefully, okay? We don’t want those Knights” you spat with disgust, “getting their hands on it.”
You dug through your inventory and offered a few more claymores, swords, and bows that you’d picked up through your endless wishing and grinding, instructing them on the weapons’ abilities and how to best use them. Then you slapped a few artifacts on them for good measure.
Eventually your sight landed back onto Lisa’s catalyst, a Mappa Mare from your early game, the thing that brought Beth to you. You’d have to go back and thank it once you had the chance! But, for now, you had a loyal Acolyte in your lap who might enjoy that.
You’d been a little intimidated by the [Acolytes] tab, but it felt like the right moment.
Opening it up, it looked like a recreation of the character screen with [Attributes], [Weapons], and [Artifacts]. But it also had something called [Devotion].
Before you forgot, you gave the slime the Mappa Mare and Jean’s old ViVi set. Then, you clicked on the [Devotion] tab.
[Please give this Acolyte a Name]
[ _______ ]
A name, huh? Well, it was an adorable little anemo slime, so maybe something to do with that? Annie, Nemo, Windy, Windbloom… maybe something to do with the heavens, like Celeste, or mythos, like Aura or Aurai. Or the sky…
“Eos.” Your dawn, your light after the darkness.
The newly named Eos hopped happily in your lap, a soft glow coming from it. It bounced up to your cheek, seemingly trying to give you a kiss, and your world was right. The pyro slime bounced against your legs and you laughed. “Well, you’re joining me as well, right? Want to be my ‘acolyte’ as well?”
You weren’t expecting it to appear on the interface immediately after. You should have known by now.
“Okay, okay, how about…” Ah, so many options. Ifrit, Tiamat, Bahamut, Crimson, Ignis… you looked down at the slime, it was vibrating in excitement as it tried not to set everything on fire. No, none of those would do. “Ember?” It squealed in joy.
“Eos and Ember~” You hummed as Ember gently tried to squeeze a place next to Eos on your lap, who bounced against its rival and Ember quickly hid behind you, quivering. Before you could intervene, Eos let out a few small chirps and moved to make space for Ember, who happily took it and cuddled up next to you.
Eos
Devotion MAXED
Promote? Y/N
Switching tabs, Ember had the same status, but nothing to say what “Promote?” meant. Did it turn them into big slimes? They’d be harder to heard around, but it wasn’t like you could hide them on you anyway. If they were bigger, then they’d be able to take more if push came to shove…
Yes.
Both slimes shone their element’s color before returning to their original state.
Eos - Incarnation of Anemo, Essence of the Breeze
Ember - Incarnation of Pyro, Spark of the Inferno
Well, that wasn’t worrying at all /s
But, it wasn’t like you could really know what it meant. Conveniently forgetting to check either of their attributes as you quickly set Ember up with a weapon and Crimson Witch set before you prepared the last items for your journey.
…
The next morning went past in a blur of movement and farewells, and you were saddled up with more food than any one person and two slimes could eat in quite some time. You snuck some raw ingredients from your inventory back into the camp’s storage.
Mask firmly in place, hood over your head, you headed on with your two loyal slimes at your heels; looking over your shoulder until Dadaupa Gorge vanished from your vision.

December 7 2020.
note: hah ya thought I wouldn't write a birthday fic for this man guess again! I have been brainstorming for ideas and I hope it came out well. Once again happy birthday to the man we all love and simp for 💙
warning: slight manga spoilers just a little
p.s: he's born in 1989 so he's actually 31 this year but shhh let's not talk about that
official art from Mappa studios 🙂

December 7 2020 22:34
That's the date displayed on his phone as he checks the current time. "Oh, it's my birthday today" he recalls, it's been years since he stopped caring. To him, today was just like any other day- no different. He had more missions than he usually did, if that was any different and the fact that he's riding a taxi home instead of Ijichi who usually drives him home. The man said he had important matters to tend to and Gojou just wanted to go home already. Feeling the exhaustion in every part of his body. Behind his blind fold he watches the scenery passes by as the lights of Tokyo illuminate the city. When did his birthday become just like any other day?
February 25 1997
"Satoru sama!"
A seven year old Gojou Satoru turns his head towards the direction of the voice. A young girl waves her arms wildly, mentioning the boy to come towards her. Gojou simply stares at her, choosing to ignore her- as he walks through his family's garden. He chose to ignore the girl as he was told not to directly interact with any of the servants of the estate. The girl was the daughter of one of the servants of the Gojou estate.
The girl frowns as she stares at his disappearing figure but still did not to give up. She was going to get his attention of way or another. Whenever Gojou was on break from studying or from training, the servant girl would always come to bother him. She talked an awful a lot while Satoru remains silent ignoring her. No matter how many times she was ignored she would still go to him adamant on getting his attention.
Until one day Satoru, had enough of her persistence. "What do you want?" He spoke coldly to her as he stopped in his steps, the girl behind him stopped in surprise too at his sudden voice. Not thinking she would ever get his attention, she struggles to answer. " I-I umm.." the girl stammers looking down towards the ground of the garden. "I want to be friends with you!" She shouts before covering her mouth with her hand afraid that someone else might have heard her. Satoru stares at the girl dumbfounded by her words. "Friends" was something he never had having forbidden to go to public schools instead to home study. His life was mostly indoors within the Gojou estate. He remains silent contemplating his response but before he could answer, an older servant appears. " There you are! You know you're not supposed to bother Satoru sama. Please forgive me my lord." As the older servant pulls the younger girl by the arm going towards the other direction. "Bye Satoru!" She laughs and waves towards him. Gojou feels a slight smile "what a dumb girl."
In the following months, the young servant girl appears before Satoru whenever he was free. The girl would talk for countless hours while Satoru silently listened to her before leaving when Satoru had to go back to his training.
December 7 1997
Today was the day of Satoru's birth. His family and the elders of the Gojou clan would gather to celebrate his birthday but each year it was always the same. He recieved ravish gifts he did not care for and was praised for his ability. It felt like they were celebrating the birth of a user of the Limited Cursed Technique and the beholder of the Six Eyes but not Satoru himself. He felt empty inside while his family rejoiced. He pulled away from the festivities and went towards the garden, silently hoping to meet a certain servant girl. As if she had heard his thoughts she comes running towards his direction. "Satoru, Satoru!" Panting as she reaches him holding something in her hand. "Happy birthday Satoru!" She shoves a beautiful red rose into his hands. He remained stunned but felt the warmth from her genuine words, he smiled towards her "thank you.."
"How dare you servant girl!" As an older lady of the Gojou clan emerges interrupting their moment. The older lady calls for the other servants to take the girl away, the yound girl shouts "Happy birthday!" while being pulled away. Satoru could only gaze at her holding his present while she disappears. He realized he never actually knew her name.
That was the last time he ever saw that girl.
December 7 2005
"Happy birthday Satoru." Geto says to him with a smile while Shoko stands behind him repeating the exact same words "Happy birthday." Gojou looks at them bewildered, "how did you know it was my birthday?" "Well that's a secret" Geto replies as he shares a knowing smile with Shoko. "What tell me!" Gojou pouts begging his friend where he found about such crucial information about him.
"Anyways, let's go eat! Oh and Satoru you're paying."
"It's my birthday why do I have to pay?!" He exclaims as he trails behind a smiling Geto and a giggling Shoko. He felt the warmth, he never thought he'd never feel again until that too came to an end.
"Sir, you've arrived at your destination."
Gojou snaps out of his trance as he realizes the taxi has stopped in front of his apartment. He quickly pays the taxi driver, thanking him before getting off. He rides the elevator in silence as he reaches the door to his home. He grasps the handle and opens the door.
"Surprise!"
As party poppers and streamers go off as he opens his front door. There you were holding a giant cake with candles while the first years surround him. Standing behind you, was the second years, Shoko, Ijichi, Principal Yaga and even Nanami all crowed in his living room.
"Happy birthday Gojou sensei!" Itadori shouts almost tackling his teacher. He could hear a chorus of "happy birthdays" from all around the room. Gojou stands in shock at the sight he's seeing before Nobara practically shoves a bouquet of flowers into his hands. "These are for you!"
"Hurry up and blow the candles sensei, oh and make a wish too!" Itadori exclaims, breaking him from his daze-unable to comprehend the sight before him.
"Happy birthday Satoru" You smile at him while holding a cake out to him. Oh, he feels the warmth he thought he had lost forever. Seeing the people surrounding him. His body feels warm and complete, as a wide smile graces his face. Maybe this time?
"Thank you.."
He lowers his head and takes a moment before blowing away the flames in a single huff. He hears cheers from the students, while the adults stand around him with varying expressions.
"Finally, let's eat!" Panda exclaims while everyone gathers into the living room. The coffee table and dining table filled with an abundance of various food. Gojou hears chatter and laughter all around him.
"Hey sensei, what did you wish for?"
"That's a secret, Yuji kun!"
He wished for this warmth to never disappear.
Bonus
"You know, you guys technically broke into my home."
"It was (L/N) sensei's idea!"
"Hey!"

The Model
New OCs! These whumpers are technically from NaNo but I’ve got more plans for them. CN: referenced gore.
I deem this good enough for the tag list. @lonesome--hunter, @iaminamoodymoodtoday, @wildfaewhump, @ishouldblogmore, @lektricwhump, @that-one-thespian, @raigash. Just ask or message to be added/removed!
Marche Dubois stares forwards, unblinking.
The little girl has a gap between her front teeth, adorable little freckles on her nose, and bright brown eyes that seem to capture the sunlight streaming in through the tall windows along the south side of the long room.
Her name is Penelope. She has a purple ribbon in her bobbed hair. She’s wearing a purple dress with a white cardigan and white socks. Her nails are painted with tiny renditions of roses in silver on more purple. She is a colour-coordinated vision of children’s fashion. She is twelve at most.
Marche smiles at her, weakly, as the girl’s little hands hold out a lock of their platinum blond hair and compares it to a swatch of navy cloth.
“Your hair is pretty,” the girl announces with a sunny smile.
Marche’s eyes slip to the corner of the room, and back. “Thank you,” they reply in a wavering voice. “I-I like your ribbon.”
Penelope beams. “Thank you! It’s satin. I tied the bow myself.”
She puts down the swatch of cloth and picks up another. She compares it. “Mhmm, this one. You’re going to look like a star. Are you excited?”
Marche looks away, and back. They don’t nod, because her hand is still on their hair as casually as it might rest on a friend’s shoulder. “Yes,” they lie. They are terrified.
They look again to the corner of the room, where a tall, rail-thin figure leans against the wall with its delicately patterned wallpaper. Purple hair in a high ponytail drags high cheekbones into elegance, and eyes that can’t truly be amber flash from behind gold-rimmed glasses.
The figure nods, slightly. An even slighter smile lifts the corner of one purple-painted lip.
Marche breathes out slowly, the air shaking.
The eye contact is broken when Penelope reaches up and pats their cheek, calling their attention back to her on her step stool matching fabrics to their hair and skin. She is still smiling, kindly now. “Are you nervous? It’s okay! Everyone is going to be really nice to you. You’re going to look awesome!”
No, Marche is pretty sure they’re going to die. After this strange fashion prodigy is done with them.
If you hurt my little girl, I will slice the skin from your bones with a paring knife and make you watch your own muscles moving when you try to run from me.
“Ooh, maybe mappa will braid your hair. Would you like that? I think it would look good, maybe we could get little sequins...”
The figure in the corner keeps watching Marche. They haven’t once blinked. They don’t, throughout the afternoon, and they barely move. Penelope moves constantly, fetching fabrics, cutting and sewing and measuring and altering, encouraging Marche to try on clothes, flattering and encouraging them, and even stopping to get a snack. Watching the strange little girl who controls their fate crunching on carrot sticks and cucumber circles almost breaks Marche into hysterical laughter.
They do laugh, a sharp little giggle, when Penelope asks if they’re hungry. Then the stare catches their eye again, and they shake their head and thank her.
“Mappa, they’re nearly ready!”
“I know, poppet. Do you want me to do their hair?”
The voice is like smoke rolling over silk. Marche can feel it on their skin, low but perfectly projected.
“Yes please! Can you do fishy braids? Maybe um, maybe five of them? And then do the thing you do with them where they wrap up into a knot.”
When those amber eyes move to Penelope, they melt into loving honey. “You’re the boss.”
Marche stiffens as the figure pulls away from the wall and begins walking towards them. They seem only to get taller the closer they come. They tower over Marche, and when their hand lifts to run a finger through their hair, Marche almost bolts, like a prey animal’s last ditch effort at escaping a predator who has them cornered.
The fingers are gentle, almost absent, as though their hair is braiding itself. Penelope chatters on, while she places stick-on diamante sequins along Marche’s arm. “Because I’ve got um, Miss Greer coming back to be a sunset, I thought they would go nice together, and there’s, can I borrow Bella? In the pink and orange one you did in the spring? Then I have a dawn!”
“Of course you can borrow her,” the voice comes again, and goose bumps rise on Marche’s skin underneath the loose black and navy fabric. “But Marche here is going to be the star of the show.”
“You are,” Penelope agrees, fully expecting Marche to be happy with that revelation.
Marche gives another weak smile, as Penelope’s terrifying parent braids their hair and hums softly, tunelessly. “Our fallen star,” they murmur fondly, smoothing a lock of hair away from Marche’s face. “Our night sky.”

Other responses were, in order, Jean lamenting all of the deaths occurring, Gabi and Falco realizing that Zeke betrayed them, Hange scolding Eren for forcing the SC to intervene in Marley and Levi and Eren’s confrontation.
Connie telling Sasha and Jean that they're special to him made my heart hurt knowing what was going to happen mere minutes after. I honestly saw me and my two best friends through them, and it was gut wrenching seeing Connie and Jean's reactions. Even Mikasa's reaction broke me, to be honest. They all lost a huge light in their lives.
WHICH MOMENT SURPRISED YOU THE MOST? 222 Responses
So this question was meant to only go on the anime watchers poll and ended up here somehow. Thanks to the 222 who were good sports and responded anyway! :P The most shocking moments that took place in this chapter/episode was the revelation that Eren went rogue from the Survey Corps, that Zeke was collaborating with the Survey Corps, how the Survey Corps treated Eren, and that some Paradisians seemed to be turning to nationalism, in that order.
Not sure why we're being asked as manga readers which moment shocked us the most since we already knew everything that was going to happen this week
HOW MUCH DID SASHA’S DEATH HURT YOU? 249 Responses
When it came to Sasha’s death, it would appear that it broke the hearts of the overwhelming majority of responders, with 81.1% giving it a rating of either 4 or 5 on the tragic scale.
Broke my heart and I'm still crying over it three days later. Honestly though, it was greatly done.
3 years later it hit me, Sasha is dead ;_;
Cried my whole soul and body. Rip sweet Sasha
I thought Sasha's death would've been more emotional.
WHOSE REACTION TO SASHA’S DEATH AFFECTED YOU THE MOST? 250 Responses
Sasha’s death elicited various reactions from the main cast. Two different responses tied at 36.4% noting Connie and Mikasa’s reactions to Sasha's death as the one affecting them the most. This was followed by Eren’s at 13.2%. The rest were, in order, Armin, Jean, Levi and Hange.
I don’t cry at fiction much, but Sasha’s death got me more than I thought it would. I feel like seeing Armin and Mikasa’s reactions in particular is what got me.
The way they animated Armin and Mikasa bawling over Sasha's body and the inclusion of Call Your Name made it all the more emotional. I think by "Assassin's Bullet" they also meant a bullet through my heart because man did that hurt to watch. 😭🤧
WOULD YOU PISS YOUR PANTS IF LEVI WAS GLARING AT YOU WITH MURDEROUS INTENT? 248 Responses
A bit of a joke question, but we wanted to know if Levi appeared as threatening as he seemed. 80.2% seems to think so, admitting their incentive to piss their pants. In contrast, 19.8% don’t think the Captain’s such a scary guy!
THE FULL VERSION OF “ASHES ON THE FIRE” BY KOHTA YAMAMOTO (THE PREVIEW SONG) IS NOW OUT. IF YOU’VE LISTENED TO IT, WHAT DO YOU THINK? 236 Responses
“Ashes on the Fire” has been released to rave reviews, with 88.1% of responses giving it a 4 or a 5. Nobody gave it a 1, either. Yamamoto-san, thank you!
OVERALL, HOW WELL DO YOU THINK MAPPA ADAPTED THE MARLEY ARC? 251 Responses
In spite of the relatively vocal complaints about the adaptation of certain elements of the Marley Arc, it would appear that the overwhelming majority of responders seemed pleased with it, with 51.4% giving it 5 and 37.1% giving it a 4. 1s not present.
I've been a bit bothered how Mappa follows the Manga like a slave, using the panels as scenes and not adding anything in between. Sure it works for Manga, but it feels weird to me to watch in Anime how Eren grabs Armins hand and they don't give a transition where Armin pulls him in, but just show him inside the airship next. Just little things, but bothers me a bit. Overall I'm really enjoying their choices.
The show looks BETTER
I was fine with the episode. The quality of animation dropped but I understand that every scene cannot be animated on highest level. MAPPA has done a great job with the Marley arc. They shown the character development and bonds between the warriors perfectly. We had some cuts here and there but overally was okay: 8/10 for me.
I’m so pleased that MAPPA has taken the anime. I’m still more of a fan of this particular series’ manga than anime though.
DID SASHA’S DEATH AFFECT YOU MORE WHEN YOU READ THE MANGA, OR SEEING IT ANIMATED WITH VOICES AND MUSIC? 249 Responses
As noted above, Sasha’s death seemed to be a hard hitter for most. Comparison of the adaptation vs the original allows to discern which hit the readers/watchers the hardest. Just one percent shy of a majority (49%) thought that the anime made it much more tragic. 30.9% noted that the impact was roughly similar across both mediums. On the flip side, 10.4% thought that the initial depiction of it in the manga was the hardest hitter. There were also a couple of write-ins.
I dont remember I sped run reading the manga, kinda regretting it
I knew it for the first time in the manga, so it had a more powerful impact (I cried for a whole week. Not kidding) and the anime managed to make me cry as hard as in the manga. Though, I already was aware and grieved so it wasn't as bad
Got Spoiled :( so kinda meh, saw it coming
When the music kicked in after Connie announced she was gone, my heart broke into a million pieces.
Let's be honest, Sasha's role was over after she killed the titan in the village and saved Kaya. After that she was just there. She got zero development, zero important moments, zero depth. Her death effected many characters and helped them to develop. Sasha's death was sad but at least brought some important changes in others.
Not a Sasha fan so I was not really that affected but having a death in the series always feels sour
I think for me, they're both even.....mostly. There's just something about having been waiting for the chapter leaks on reddit with a bunch of other people and most of us collectively grieving at the same time. Once bigger pages of the chapter started coming out, it made me cry. I didn't even cry during serumbowl when I first read it and that had plenty for me to be even more upset about.
Honestly while reading manga I hated that Sasha’s last word was „meat”, it seemed so ridiculous. I’m happy MAPPA made it look more serious with music. Actually everyone’s reaction for Sasha’s death had more impact on me than the death itself
HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SAW GABI KILL SASHA IN THE MANGA? AND HOW DO YOU FEEL SEEING IT AGAIN NOW, KNOWING HOW GABI’S ARC DEVELOPS? 247 Responses
Gabi is perhaps the most controversial character introduced post-time skip. Whether you’re a proud member of the Gabi Gang, proud hater of the 12 year old or just a neural party, everyone can admit that. With Sasha’s death at her hands, many seemed to offer up their opinion on the kid, back then and now. A slight plurality, 31.2%, stated that they did not hate her back when 105 first released and they don’t hate her now. 23.1% note that although they were rather upset with her back down, they are not (upset/angry) any longer. On the flipside, 25.5% state that they still hate the kid, as they did back then. Finally, some were simply neutral. Classic.
Quite a few write-ins, as well.
I hated her in the manga but after watching the anime, I’m not happy about it but I understand why she did what she did and don’t hate her as much anymore.
I was extremely upset about it before and am still extremely upset about it now, but for different reasons. I hate her less but am not any less annoyed by her brainwashed hatred of the Paradisians, although I understand her much better and realize and empathize that she's just a kid who's been used by her country in the worst way.
Gabi Braun Must Die
Broke my heart and was upset, but understood where she was coming from (thought about her perspective only)
Sasha shoulda killed this cunt while she had the chance
It’s war, she did as she needed to. Her arc is fantastic
love hate relationship
I didn't like her but not because of Sasha death (that's war consequence) and it's the same now
I really hated her with my whole heart and soul, but now that it has been all explained, that she had character development, I even like her now
I used to be angry about it but I understand why now, Gabi is just a victim of Marley’s control just like anyone else is, it’s a shame this is the results of it. She’s still at fault but I can’t hate her so much for it
I feel tired of Gabi hate. I disliked her in the manga back then but now I feel neutral towards her, because she has changed. Yet, I wish she took less screentime.
SORRY for ranting! I don't understand the hate on Gabe. Yes, I know she killed a Paradise character which was present in series since its beginning and I understand Sasha's fans are upset Sasha is not here anymore because of her. but those people do not analyse Gabe as they should be. Every character belongs to a different side and each side is blinded by what heir belives in. It is okay to not like Gabe but I don't tolerate hate on her. I THINK THIS QUESTION SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN INCLUDED AT ALL.
Initial hate, understanding after some thought
Understanding her situation I know I shouldn’t hate her, but I’m choosing to be petty and hate her anyway
I liked her much more than I like her now. She was a much better character back then, her killing Sasha (a one-note comedic relief) was cool and brought some spice to the story. Now she just exists to spout themes and convenient exposition and to be an aimbot
i dislike her, even if i understand her
I dont like Gabi. Never did. It isnt because she killed Sasha tho. I just dont care for Gabi tbh BUT i can totally understand her actions and do not blame her for it after seeing the destruction and killings
I was and still am upset about Sasha's death, but from the start I blamed it more on the circumstances than Gabi.
I loved her then, I love her now and it probably wouldn’t change even if she killed my favourite characters. She’s my cinnamon roll
Gabi did nothing wrong, killing a soldier in the battlefield is not a crime.
See, I WANT to like Gabi since she's obviously changed, but knowing she killed Sasha nonetheless will ALWAYS prevent me from having any love or respect for her. She will always be my most hated character
MAPPA ADDED AN EXTENDED SCENE OF FLOCH AND OTHER SURVEY CORPS RECRUITS BEATING GABI AND FALCO. HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT IT? 240 Responses
MAPPA added an extra scene of Floch and Friends raining down copious amounts of gratuitous violence upon two 12 year olds (MAPPA is pro-child violence???????? Find out when 111 is adapted). 48.8% seemed to think that it was a decent addition, even if just for the SC’s characterization (or perhaps you enjoyed seeing that?). 22.5% thought it was a bit over the top to feature. Finally, 16.7% did not care.
I didn't like it. But, it was def a believable reaction from them.
I just wish it was enough to kill her
I liked the additional characterization of Floch & co.
Great addition, it was implied in the manga so the scene fitted well. Still, it was horrifying to see how vile the scouts were to two kids
How about an option where we're glad Gabi got beaten to a pulp but not when Falco was?
ORA ORA thing, but we viewers get hurt too.
Didn't feel bad about Gabi getting beat up, but I did feel bad seeing Falco get beat up. Poor boy didn't deserve that
A nice addition
I thought it was a great choice to highlight the continuing violence and feelings of vengeance from both sides even more. and I thought it contrasted really well with Jean's decision not to throw the kids out of the airship.
The people glorifying this scene annoy the shit out of me
It's a good way to hint the "Yaegerist" perspective to anime onlies
MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA
The Gold Experience memes are funny
It was an IC scene for people like Floch + I feel bad for the kids
The way they shot that scene made the recruits seem like mindless, gross-faced animals storming towards the kids to beat them up. I liked how they were dehumanised like that, considering that most faces amongst them belonged to the ones who support the rumbling.
It hurt to see that but good scene though
Feel empathy for Gaby. Violence don't solve problems
Now THAT'S what I call fan service! Who needs big-boobed, big-ass females or shirtless guys with and when you can just have the most hated character get the tar beaten out of them xD
I can see why they did it. MAPPA's not dumb and I'm sure they anticipated a massive onslaught on hate towards Gabi specifically, so it was their way of trying to satisfy the haters. Falco didn't deserve it tho.
It was a good addition
GREAT JOB MAPPA
I hate Gabi too but that was too much beating up a child, yet it also showed how shit Floch and the others are.
Apparently some people never noticed that Gabi and Falco got beat up, probably because it happened in the background. So it was good for MAPPA to call attention to it.
I love Gabi but she had that coming. No need to hurt Falco though. :(
OVERALL, HOW WELL DO YOU FEEL MAPPA EXECUTED THE REVEAL THAT ZEKE IS A TRAITOR TO MARLEY? 240 Responses
The reveal that ZOOK has been working against Marley for years on end is one of the most important ones in the series, really. So it was important to have it be executed in a rather decent manner. The vast majority of the fandom thought that MAPPA did a fine job. 52.1% gave it a rating of 4, 27.5% gave it a 5 and 17.1% gave it a 3. The couple of the other respnders gave it a 2, with no 1s.
IN THE END, DO YOU THINK EREN’S ACTIONS IN MARLEY WERE ULTIMATELY JUSTIFIED? 242 Responses
A question to remember… Were Eren’s actions in Marley ultimately “justified”? A plurality, 44.6% seems to think so. In contrast, 24% disagree. And 31.4% still aren’t sure to this day.
SIMILARLY, DO YOU THINK THE SURVEY CORPS WAS ULTIMATELY JUSTIFIED IN TREATING EREN AS THEY DID? 244 Responses
When it comes to the SC treating Eren as they did, the division is much less pronounced however. The majority, 60.7%, think that the SC had quite the justification for treating Eren as they did. On the flip side, 19.7% think that there was such justification for behaving in such a manner towards Eren. Finally, the same amount of responses stated that still can’t be sure to this day.
NOW THAT WE’VE GOTTEN A CLEAR SHOT OF YELENA, DID MAPPA DO HER JUSTICE? 243 Responses
YELENA is here. Queen 👑. Or well, maybe not. Who am I to say? In any case, her appearance was received well. 52.7% thought MAPPA did very well and 33.7% went on to declare their love for her. Just shy of 10% noted that MAPPA could have done a little better though.
Kinda wish her hair was like neon or something idk
Need more eps of her to decide, she didn't get much screentime and lines here.
I don't like Yelena, but yeah I guess they did good.
In the manga she was a creepy-looking person. MAPPA made her unique, interesting and mysterious. I love her voice and her stoic, relaxed self. MAPPA did a good job.
QUEEN!!!!!
Great adaptation but I still don't like her as a character
Don’t care about her
don't really care
I hate her and I don't care about her.
WHICH SCENE FROM THE PREVIEW ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO? 247 Responses
Such a colorful chart for this one. It would appear that slightly over a quarter look most forward to seeing Crykasa at Sasha’s grace. Slightly less (21.9%) want to see Sasha enjoying Niccolo’s cuisine. In third place is the scene with Connie, Jean, Mikasa and Niccolo at Sasha’s grace. The rest are, in order from most to least, Onyankopon and Yelena teaching the Survey Corps about the Port, EMA talking at the shooting range and Hange and Armin learning about Marley’s technology.
HOW HYPED ARE YOU FOR THE UPCOMING TIMESKIP FLASHBACKS? 239 Responses
The time skip flashbacks seem to be a hit. A little over 51% are super stoked about seeing them animated. Slightly under 24% state that they’ll enjoy them, but are looking forward to other things more. In contrast, 22.6% are ready to go crazy (from a positive standpoint)! Wooo!
Enjoying AND dreading it at the same time
I just want the centipede
Boring. The only thing what interests me is Historia teasing Mikasa about her crush on Eren. The rest is too jolly.
I'm looking forward to see Yelena's insane self be animated. That, and more Zeke.
THE MOST RECENT LIST OF FUTURE EPISODE TITLES SHOWS THAT EPISODE 12 WILL LIKELY END AROUND CHAPTERS 109-111, LEAVING CHAPTER 112 (EMA’S ARGUMENT) FOR EPISODE 13. EPISODE 67 WAS ALMOST ENTIRELY ADAPTED FROM CHAPTER 105, PROVING THAT ADAPTING DIALOGUE-HEAVY CHAPTERS FAITHFULLY CAN EASILY REQUIRE THE FULL 20 MINUTES. WITH ONLY 16 EPISODES - AND SO MANY WHICH ARE DIALOGUE-HEAVY - DO YOU THINK THINGS WILL END OFF WITH THE INITIATION OF THE RUMBLING (CH. 122), AS HAS BEEN SPECULATED BY MUCH OF THE FANDOM? 238 Responses
The manner in which the Season will end is a mystery to even the manga readers. Where will it end? Will it have many cuts? These are the questions. 36.6% seem to think that MAPPA will somehow manage to both end it at Chapter 122 and cut as little as possible. 26.5% don't believe ending on 122 is possible. 12.2% do believe MAPPA will end the Season on 122, but only with many notable cuts. Finally, just a little under 20% are simply not sure. There were a few write-ins as well.
I hope not, too many cuts would be required
The is no way they're making it up to 122, at first I thought they were going to finish it off with Eren's head getting blown off in 119, but now that seems like a reach too. Now I think MAPPA is probably going to end this first half of the season with Eren and Pieck's "where is the enemy?" and the warriors arriving to Shiganshina
I’m not sure right now so I’ll have to see for later episodes for the cut-off point, if it isn’t the Rumbling then it’ll be when Gabi shoots Eren
MOVIE
I'm conflicted. I'm sure they'll end at rumbling because it's the only reasonable point to cut it, but I feel like they're running out of episodes. Then again I'm feeling the same about the state of Manga, there's just too little chapters left to end things up well.
I don't really want to think too much about it, I just want to enjoy the anime lol
I fully expect 119 to be the end
What was the point of rushing Reiner's chapters if you are going to slow down later. Goddamn it MAPPA.
It'll really depend on the pacing for the next couple episodes, but I'm with a bulk of the fandom that see Chapter 119 Two Brothers being the end point for The Final Season. IF they were to skip the opening and maybe the ending, I can see them transitioning from Eren's head getting blown off immediately into his transformation and the beginning of the Rumbling. But even that is quite farfetched.
I have no idea, I'm a little worried now. Wouldn't be the first time a lot of content gets cut but if they insist on reaching ch. 122, I just don't see how you do that without butchering a lot. If that happens, it would probably lessen my enjoyment of the season.
Yeah, I think it will have a lot of cuts, but I believe that it will get there because Ymir falling in the tree was in the trailer
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?
It's amazing seeing how each week, something with SnK trends! ^^
It still baffles me just how much people insist on hating Gabi, especially when her arc has shown tremendous growth in the manga. Reiner was no better than her when he was a child and continued to insist that Paradisians are devils and chose to further destroy their lives even after sleeping under the same roof as the 104th for 3 whole years and forming personal bonds with them. Yet, his actions are forgivable but Gabi's are not? Both characters have shown remorse for their former beliefs and misdeeds against Paradisians. Both realized that they were in the wrong. The characters have forgiven Gabi. Why can't y'all do the same? People who want Gabi to suffer are no better than they accuse her of being.
Well done episode which managed to capture the emotions of sasha's death perfectly
monke
I really appreciate Gabi as a character. She has spunk and a strong character arc in which she changes and grows more than anyone in the last 30 chapters of the manga, save maybe Mikasa (ignoring how Eren, Reiner, Armin and maybe a few others changed during the timeskip). It makes me sad seeing people wishing for her to die and praising Floch and the others for kicking her.
Gabi absolutely deserves the hate she gets
I absolutely love to see the anime-onlies mass hate of GabBitch, does my heart good xD
Boring ,too much Gabi she is annoying
Time to strap in: wild ride ahead!
Gabi Braun is the WORST character, her arc was poorly written and the moment she kills Sasha solidifies her rightful place as most hated character
No development has made me stop hating Gabi. The wound of Sasha's death will ALWAYS overshadow any crocodile tears Gabi may cry.
Kudos to Jean's and Connie's voice actors. Emotions were so raw and natural.
so good! they're really nailing down the emotional beats so far!
Dialogue-heavy but still amazing! Also the music was great
I didn't felt anything when Sasha died. Even the first time, in the manga. She hasn't enough personnality for me to care. Erwin and Bertolt's death were more saddening for me. Stop hating Gabi. She was in grief and she did what Marley brainwashed her to. And Sasha killed people right in front of her, so…
1 chapter was too little to be adapted for an episode, you could tell some scenes were stretched to fit the runtime
The music they chose for the scene of Sasha passing was also the same music they used when the Survey Corps first donned their capes and Eren found out Marco was dead... man, that song is gonna hit harder than ever now
It didn’t help with the overwhelming amount of hate Gabi is getting. I hope Mappa does her justice because she’s a great character but the Anime only seem to hate her because its a “funny” “popular” thing but it really isn’t... shows who really is paying attention to the story and the people who are watching it because it’s popular and trendy
People who are hating on Gabi do not understand the themes portrayed in AoT
Pretty solid overall. Wonderful bits of animation such as the ODM bits and the solid character acting from Sasha going down, Mikasa and Armin is distress, personal highlight being Gabi's reload animation. Good ost choices, nice addition of Samuel and Daz to foreshadow their conflict later on in the story, and great work from Connie, Gabi and Eren's VAs.
Friendly reminder that just because we hate Gabi does NOT mean we don't "understand" the story or themes. We just don't care because Gabi is a bad character.
U mad at Gabi for what she did ? Did she kill Potato girl for no reason? Imgine a kid, at least 3 years younger than the 104th, made fighting on WARS and praised for it, brainwashed by Marley that Paradisians are devils, and these devils came in her home, killing her friends and this WOMAN killed in front of her eyes two people who tried to protect her. Don't be mad at Gabi. Grieve for Sasha, okay, but stop hating Gabi. You're the worst when you do it
Hey Gabiatans: as long as you're not threatening the VA or other RL p olle, it's PERFECTLY fine to hate Gabi. Period. We don't have to like her, and it's not like we don't "understand" her just because we hate her. I "understand" a lot of Germans were forcibly coerced into joining the Nazi regime, but I don't have to pity then for any consequences that came for them.
Leviiiiiii
I was surprised that Mikasa and Armin crying over Sasha had no voice over. I thought it was still effective but I'm not sure if I prefer it. Other than that, the character animation was amazing this episode. Gabi's hands as she reloaded the rifle and Armin crying were my favorites. Overall, everything was pretty perfect and I love it when a chapter gets adapted in full with basically no cuts. One of the best episodes in the series and a proper send off for Sasha.
Wonderfully done episode! They truly did Gabi and Falco's perspectives justice. Also, seeing Eren's expressions and reactions in animated format was clarifying and super well done, too!

Dino Watches Anime (Nov 15)
BOI, I HAVE A MIDTERM ON TUESDAY AND TEST ON WEDNESDAY. SCREW THAT. I’M GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE ANIME I’VE BEEN WATCHING IN BETWEEN STUDY SESSIONS! Yeah, the studying is like 2% while the anime and games are like 98%... I’m working on that, okay? Anyway, I’m going to cover mostly seasonal stuff with some other stuff.
Let’s go over the seasonal stuff first. Summer had so few anime coming out whereas Autumn/Fall came in like, “OPEN THE FLOODGATES! LET’S GO!!!” I haven’t even gotten around to all the anime airing this season that I want to like Yuukoku no Moriarty, Majo no Tabitabi, and Adachi to Shimamura. I missed some last season too like Deca-Dance which I just didn’t want to commit to if it was only for the good animation.
Taisou Samurai (DROPPED)
I dropped it after two episodes. MAPPA has two major series this season, but they clearly gave more time and attention to the one that was actually going to make money here (which I’ll talk about later). This one seems like a passion project without the passion in it anymore. It’s like opening a bag of chips and finding out they went stale long before you even reached into the bag.
Taisou Samurai, at its core, has a premise that I found really promising. I happen to like watching gymnastics sometimes, and the idea of an athlete who doesn’t want to retire is interesting. They went wrong with the execution. I don’t know what they were trying to pull here, but with unlikeable characters and a terrible run at it, it’s like they weren’t playing with a full deck of cards here.
Also, if you don’t know what a gyaru is, one of the supporting characters will look like a racist caricature. Also, this bird has no other point than to try to make up for this show’s lack of usable humour by using Kappei Yamaguchi’s range and going, “Please, save this show. I beg you.”
I didn’t even bother giving this show three episodes to drag me in because I just couldn’t see myself wasting another 20 minutes here. Maybe I’ll have a change of heart, but for now, I should be having better things to do.
Munou na Nana (WOULDN’T RECOMMEND)
I know everyone has made this joke already, but this is really just My Hero Academia x Among Us. I feel like if there was some more... budget put into this anime, they could’ve made it a lot better. The manga had a lot more detail, so a lot of the gruesome scenes with zombies or killings, etc. were muted and toned down beyond belief. Not to mention, I guess watching it after I read the manga just made me feel stupid. This is such a junkie show that pulls tricks that everyone knows is coming. Nonetheless, I can’t find some big reason to say “do not watch this” because it’s still a very mediocre show. It has its good points, but its presentation devalues it, the voice acting is meh (especially since Yuuichi Nakamura is playing THREE overpowered main cast characters this season), and the jig is up after the first episode, so the twists are just to make you sympathize more with the imposter. I haven’t seen a show like this for a while though, so I guess you can watch it if you want something refreshing like that. I don’t think you’re supposed to like this cast of characters, so I won’t say anything against not liking this cast.
Kamisama ni Natta Hi (CONDITIONALLY RECOMMEND)
Jun Maeda... the man who manages to incorporate baseball into every anime he does... seriously, every anime I’ve watched by him has it from Angel Beats to Charlotte to that unfinished Little Busters I just left on hold. Anyway, Kamisama is no exception. Jun Maeda has a reputation for building touching stories that start off strong then really lose their footing once he realizes that he’s not going to get 24 episodes and needs to squeeze all of those 16 episodes of story left into 4 episodes or so. It also doesn’t help that sometimes he goes off on useless storylines that pay no use to the story.
Hina is really funny sometimes (but can be annoying). Narukami is funny. Really, everyone has some valid point about them that makes the show better compared to the previous entries.
Seriously, some little kid comes up to you and goes, “The world is ending, I am God, and I’m going to stick by you.” Meanwhile, you’re just a simp that’s trying to get your childhood friend to fall for you.
Honestly, I’m still having a blast watching this. As much as Maeda’s writing can really suffer from tonal shifts (mostly in the end), I still wanted to watch this anime simply because I always like his storytelling in the beginning, and the laughs it brings can sometimes still muddle out the bitter taste that’s left in your mouth when the series finishes. I can already feel this train going down a slide and off a cliff. I already paid for my ticket though, so I’m obligated to stay on this shootshow until the end.
Seriously, I do not like where some of these relationships are heading.
Maoujou de Oyasumi (CONDITIONALLY RECOMMEND)
This anime is relatable. It can get stale fast for a lot of people, but every time I think I’m going to get sick of it, it pulls one of the same gags that makes me go, “This. This is why I’m sticking with this.” I’m not sure how much more there is to say. It’s just an abducted princess who couldn’t care less that she’s a hostage and instead, takes this newfound time to take some good ZZZs. What a life.
Oh yeah, this princess is also willing to commit murder, mutilation, theft, and assault to get the sleep she wants.
Tonikaku Kawaii (CONDITIONALLY RECOMMEND)
I’m not dropping this show... even if it makes no sense. The premise is astoundingly stupid, but it pulled a Zombieland Saga on me. It sounded so stupid, but once I gave it one episode, I found myself being entertained and almost rooting for the characters and their relationships.
Imagine this: You are about to get into the high school of your dreams when you see the girl of your dreams cross your path. You want to ask her out so you jump over the barricade and get hit by a truck. You’re on the brink of death when you realize you can’t die there without confessing your love. You chase her down with blood coming out of your head and confess. She says that she’ll only go out with you if you marry her. You then... somehow survive, drop out of school, then get a job to search for her. I kid you not. This is the setup. It’s as stupid as it sounds, and the anime knows this. It doesn’t try to fool you into thinking that this series is supposed to be anything but some highway fast-track way to convince you into watching a married couple. I think what irked me the most is that the character designs didn’t change from when they were in middle school to when they were adults. It wasn’t the being hit by a truck and not being sent to another world, it wasn’t this girl who stopped the truck without ruining her hair, it wasn’t anything else but their character designs staying the same.
Anyway, this anime is cute as long as you can jump some hurdles. It’s basically puppy-love marriage with anime stupidity through and through. I don’t know what about this series people, including myself, find charming.
Jujutsu Kaisen (RECOMMENDED - BUT DON’T COMPARE TO DEMON SLAYER TOO MUCH!)
It’s Shonen Jump. “Will it be the next Kimetsu no Yaiba? The next big Shonen Jump series? One of the next big three? Five?” No, I don’t think so. I’m not enjoying this nearly as much as I did binging KNY. The cast isn’t nearly as likeable, but I’m still having a good time. It’s not all that fair to make that comparison anyway. The cast for Jujutsu Kaisen is passable. I like some of the main cast, but I feel like they lack the same kind of depth with its main heroine. I know she gets more stuff done in the future chapters, but her backstory so far is, “I had a friend once... No, she’s not dead. She just left our small town.”
The fight scenes are actually so much fun to watch. MAPPA gave this series a lot more time and budget than say that first anime I mentioned. It’s fluid, the camerawork is amazing, the choreography is on-point.
The voice acting for this anime is spectacular among the main cast... when character dialogue allows it.
I feel a bit of imbalance, but Yuuji does offer a good protagonist template. Junya Enoki makes his lines so funny and gives this nonchalant approach that is the polar opposite of his performance in Tonikawa. This is definitely his season.
Junichi Suwabe voicing the main demon thing is amazing too. It fits so well, and he sounds so cool and evil. It’s great.
Gojou is also one badass mentor played by Yuuichi Nakamura. Overpowered, part of the main cast, etc. Insert your reverse Kakashi joke here. Just give him more Sharingan genjutsu, I dare you.
Yuuma Uchida is back playing another tragic character that’s serious and uptight. I can’t say much more about him.
The opening and ending are both worth listening to even if you don’t want to watch the anime. Lost in Paradise by ALI has been on repeat for me.
Besides that, I’m going to go over some other anime that I’ve been watching.
Hunter x Hunter (AS IF THIS HASN’T BEEN RECOMMENDED ENOUGH)
Slowly. Slowly but surely. 11/148.
I know this is going to be amazing... I just want to be in the right mood to full savour it. I don’t want to be consumed by stress and not pay attention. The reason why I like a lot of those seasonal anime is because I don’t pay the same kind of attention.
If you told me these characters’ ages, I probably would’ve believed everyone... except Leorio. The guy looks like a middle-aged money-hungry gangster.
What I would give to have the energy and serotonin of a Shonen Jump protagonist.
Haikyuu (YEAH, IT’S GOOD)
I’m watching this one with my mom and sister as they go “OMG OMG OMG” as we watch while I’m sitting there like -_-
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good show, but sports anime are made like shounen battle anime (because they are in a way) with different stakes. I’ve felt more “nervous” about some of the Haikyuu matches than I did with some of the Hunter Exam. Worst case scenario in Haikyuu, you lose the match. Worst case scenario in Hunter x Hunter? You die.
I knew what I was going to get into when I was watching Haikyuu, and it’s given me what I remembered (since I did watch 10 episodes of it a few years ago) and expected.
SKET Dance (HIGHLY RECOMMEND)
Unfollow me. Unfollow me right now. This is what I’m going to be talking about for the next month. I can feel it. I’ve had this show for like 3 days and watched around 33 episodes along with some of these other titles. I have a problem. I know that, but I don’t feel like fixing it. This show is just too good.
I get why people call this a poor man’s Gintama, but it’s not quite that. I can get the similarities, but it’s like eating an empanada and saying that it’s just like that dumpling you tasted last week. It looks alike on the surface... if you’re not that great at... telling the difference between things... but once you get to the meat of it (PUN HAHA), you realize that they are completely different, and you were a fool for thinking otherwise.
That’s our main heroine! Go go go!
Dude, episode 25 hit me out of nowhere, AND I READ THE SPOILERS! I won’t say any more than that.
The cast is one of the best that I’ve seen in a while. Their chemistry is basically the entire show. Without one of the main three, you wouldn’t have the show anymore. It handles its female characters better than some of its fellow competitors at the time, and it may have what some may call a “token fat character”, but the character never makes fun of her for being fat. They make fun of her for saying “Yabasu” every single sentence. It hurts that the manga ended with some loose ends, and this anime isn’t getting a season 2.
But at its weird and mushy core, this show is about three people with heavy and complex pasts who simply want to help people work out their issues in their own... unique ways.
I don’t want to say much else, but I wish more people would watch/read it and create/post most content for it even if it’s a bit old because it deserves it. I’m almost a decade late, and this anime still holds up.
I gave Mairimashita Iruma-kun its own post.

I'm doing fine. I had to go to scl today coz I'm a class monitor. It was really boring just me and one other girl for the whole section. we had to sort through text books. L8r we took a nap on the chairs Noya style 😁✌
My bday is on the 23rd of May (I think this is what the "how about you?" tag meant 🙈)
The new ep was 🔥🔥🔥🔥literally!! I DID NOT expect Armin's glow-up to hit me so hard 🤤 but he seems really sad? They all do 😔 but the fight scenes Jean with the cart, Eren and Levi 🤤 please the way he took the beast down!! Zeke didn't even see it coming and I loved how he just casually jabbed the blade in his cheek 😅 (I cannot understand all the hate MAPPA gets??!) and we have a new character!! I can't remember his name tho 😑
I'm not ready for the next ep coz I know whats gonna happen and I just.... I CAN'T 😭😭😭
-Bug Anon
a Noya style nap sounds so nice right about now 😫
The "how about you" was more of a general how are you doing, I should have clarified a bit better 😖 a May birthday sounds so nice tho! I'm more partial to the winter but spring weather is so comforting and warm 🥰 it must be fun having a spring birthday
IM SO HAPPY I GOT TO SEE ARMIN!!!! HIS DESIGN IS SO NICE 😭😭 I'm gonna miss his fluffy bowl cut tho, even without it he still has the sweetest disposition. But you're definitely right about him looking sad, when they showed the after math of his transformation I just felt so terrible. He was just a boy who wanted to explore the world and see the ocean and now he's been pulled into a war and had his life shorted as a shifter 😔
The scouts just seem so tired, I just want all of them the finally have time to breathe and not continue to be pulled from one war to another...
PLEASE EREN DIDN'T HOLD BACK AT ALL THIS EPISODE!! I don't know how many memes I've seen of people comparing the Jaw Titan to a can opener, Nutcracker, or Juicer 😭😭 and I hate finding them funny because that was sUch a twisted scene
Levi 🥰 for the few minutes we saw him he looked amazing but I'm still a bit sceptical about the Beast thing, it felt way to easy so I'm kinda 🧐 yes Levi is amazing and he's got the skills to pull that off effortlessly but they've been hyping up Zeke for a while and he seems important to the story as Eren's half-brother.....idk we'll have to wait and see I guess 🤷🏻♀️
New character? I think you mean the one that was with Hange? (Who looks sO badass might I add)
I can't remember his name either, it was really long and I didn't get the chance to process it fully when reading the subtitles 😂

SnB - Shit’s Going Down
During the last couple of episodes I wasn’t overly pleased with SnB’s episodes, but this time I’m realllllllly unhappy. So I’m gonna vent out why.
1. CHARIOCE’S FUCKING UNCHARACTERISTIC APATHY
YOU KNOW WHAT. Maybe the guy is suffering through chronic pains. Maybe he’s preserving his energy. But all this bullshit of having him not talk to anyone to create tension is pissing me off. You mean to tell me that not only he stands and watches his loyal knights being butchered in front of him without drawing his sword, he also doesn’t talk to Jeanne or Azazel? The man had been the fucking KING of a kingdom for the past decade. No one ripped off his tongue. Why isn’t he telling them about Bahamut? Jeanne is fucking famous. Everyone knows she fought Bahamut already. YOU’D THINK HE’S TELL HER ABOUT THE UPCOMING ARMAGEDDON?! MAYBE TRY TO MAKE HIS CHANCES BETTER TO THIS MISSION HE’D BEEN WORKING ON FOR THE PAST DECADE?! REMEMBER THAT THE GUY SHEDS A TEAR EVERY OPENING, WHEN HE FLEW WITH NINA, AND VISITS HIS MOM’S GRAVE ON A REGULAR BASIS?
Like all the shit he pulled with Nina I could tolerate, but this time it’s really ridiculous. Charioce’s apathy is further demonstrated compared to Kaiser’s compassion and, you know, DIALOGUE HE HAS WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM.
2. WHERE ARE EVERYBODY?!
WHY DO I HAVE TO WATCH HALF THE EPISODE ABOUT ALESSENDAR’S SCUM CHARACTER, BEING KILLED OFF IN THE MOST PECULIAR WAY BY A DEMON CHILD WHO DROPPED HIS KNIFE AND DIDN’T HAVE ANY OTHER KNIVES ON HIS PERSON?? DID HE STAB ALESSENDAR WITH HIS OWN DAGGER? SHOULD I CARE? FUCK NO, WHERE’S SOFIEL AT WHEN ALL THIS SHIT’S GOING DOWN?! WHERE’S GABRIEL?! ISN’T SHE THE LEADER OF ALL THE GODS?! I KNOW SHE’S GOING TO BE THE VILLAIN IN THE NEXT EPISODE BUT LIKE, LAY SOME GROUNDWORK?!
AND WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE LUCIFER ASSEMBLED, PREVIOUSLY?! KNITTING?! HAVING THEIR BOOK-CLUB SESSION WITHOUT LUCIFER?!
AND REMEMBER HOW SOFIEL CONFESSED SHE’S GAY FOR JEANNE AND WAS WILLING TO GIVE UP HER LIFE IN HEAVEN TO BE ON JEANNE’S SIDE?? SO NOW SHE’S GONNA LET HER INTO WAR ALONE WITH THAT FLIMSY SKIRT-ARMOR?! SO YOU’RE GOING TO KEEP US POSTED ON THAT DEMON-HAREM AND HOW THEY’RE DOING, BUT NOT SOFIEL AND HER USEFUL ICE POWERS.
3. CONSISTENCY
Aside from the two mentioned above. If Bacchus says in episode 22 he can’t make Hippogriff fly any faster because he’s die, you can’t make him fly faster now just because Nina really wants him too. Unless, y’know, he’s gonna die.
4. WHY IS NO ONE SPEAKING ABOUT AMIRA
So in Ep22 Favaro (who had the best character growth those last couple of episodes) finds out Charioce’s pretty much idiotic plan to revive Bahamut in order to kill it, BY HIMSELF, THE MAN WHO COULDN’T EVEN WIN AGAINST NINA IN AN ARM-WRESTLING MATCH ONE-ON-ONE. A PLAN THAT IS SO INCREDIBLY FLAWED I CAN’T EVEN. BUT I WILL. REVIVE THE MONSTER THAT TOOK THREE DIFFERENT RACES - TWO WHOM WHICH YOU COMPLETELY ALIENATED - JUST TO SEAL. AND FOR SUCH A BLOODY IDIOTIC REASON?!!? WHO FUCKING CARE IF BAHAMUT WOULD AWAKEN AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE?! HOW ABOUT PREPARING THE FOUNDATIONS FOR IT FOR THE NEXT GENERATIONS TO DEAL WITH IT PROPERLY INSTEAD OF PURPOSELY KICKING THE HORNET’S NEST?! and you could argue he thinks he’s the only one that can do it, but that’s. just. so stupid. such a stupid plan. THERE WASN’T EVEN ANY POINT TO THIS DEADLINE, IT WASN’T SO IF BAHAMUT WAS GOING TO AWAKEN BY ITSELF, AND IF IT’S BECAUSE THE BRACELET WAS KILLING YOU YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT ON A SHELF BEFORE YOU PUT IT ON.
But the real point of this was. Favaro. I understand Charioce has some affliction that prevents him from speaking to other characters - but you don’t. Maybe instead of trying to resolve the situation between Nina and Charioce (though thanks for that bless your heart), tell him you LITERALLY HAVE PEOPLE ON THE INSIDE OF BAHAMUT?! LIKE AMIRA, SEALED INTO ITS EYE?!
BY THE WAY WHILE WE’RE AT IT. CHARIOCE HAD THE CAPTAIN OF HIS GUARD BE THE ONE OF THE TWO PEOPLE WHO SURVIVED DIRECT CONFLICT WITH BAHAMUT, AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN THINK QUESTIONING HIM ABOUT IT?!
5. LOOSE ENDS
There are too many of them. Instead of tying up existing stories, MAPPA has this habit of loading plot-twists in the last second from the previous season, where this character we knew nothing of was suddenly a huge villain - so we don’t get Charioce’s complete backstory; the history between Lucifer and Azazel (WHICH SEEMS INTERESTING AS FUCK); where are all the adults from Nina’s village working, if not in the capital; etc etc. Instead its SUDDENLY THERE’S A DRAGON OUT TO HUNT MIXED PEOPLE TO CREATE CONFLICT (which was cool, but like, very random - where’s the building about Dragon-folk politics and how they relate to the human world?); and for that part - where’s Nina’s grandmother? She’s ancient and wise - she knows something off if she gave her gran(x1000)child a ride to Heaven to sort stuff out.
Other questions:
Who was Charioce thinking going to replace him on the throne if he has no heirs, seeing as he is determined to kill himself? Does he have any siblings? Did he bother to check? Why would he spend so much energy on building the human world only to let it fall back into chaos with bad new management?
How can the Gods suddenly turn humans into Gods, and not just bestow partial magical powers upon them? How did Jeanne know it was a possibility? Why didn’t she do it before? Why is she ransacking the city, if her goal is only to kill Charioce? You don’t have to kill of his guard for that!
I’m sure there are more but that’s enough for now. I really love this show, but they better wrap this up properly in the final episode, because they built up something really really good and well thought out, but Charioce being tight-lipped about everything is kind of ruining a lot of their efforts. It’s like they don’t know what they should focus on, so they just - don’t focus on anything.

Bookends, Part 6B
The bar near Laramus didn’t live up to the picture Kanan built in his mind based on Hera’s instructions for the job. He was picturing something like the other bars he’d known in his life: a scuzzy, rundown place where a he could get himself into any degree of trouble he wished, good or bad. Heavy bass from the music inside the bar thumped at Hera and Kanan from yards away as they trudged along their path from the rendezvous point with Zeb. A black-suited besalisk bouncer held back a line of people waiting to get in at the front door. Neon signs lit up the exterior, while swirling beams of colored lights flashed from within.
“You’re taking me to a dance club,” Kanan asked. Despite his internal promise to be on his best behavior for a while, he couldn’t hold back his bemusement.
Hera could feel a headache coming on, from what she wasn’t sure: the obnoxious music, the flashing lights, or the broken assumptions they’d formed going into the mission. Maybe all three. Kanan watched her reaction through several sidelong glances as they kept moving toward the club. Her nostrils flared and her eyes narrowed at different intervals during their walk. He imagined her checking off items on the mission list in her head and recalculating for the unexpected diversion in venue. As they approached the door, he spied a smile on her lips.
“What,” he asked.
“Follow my lead,” she said. She took his hand and laced their fingers together. “I hope you’re a good dancer.”
“Uhhh…” Kanan let her pull him along, striding past the lengthening queue at the door and right up to the bouncer.
“Hi.” Hera flashed a lingering flirty look at the bouncer, tracing her eyes up and down his body before fluttering her eyelashes at him. The bouncer returned her gaze with a hard and unflinching expression before he waved her in the door.
“Him too,” Hera asked, indicating Kanan as her plus one by drawing him close to her. “Please?” She made her voice syrupy sweet when the bouncer hesitated.
“Go,” he said. Hera and Kanan left the growing unrest in the line outside the club to join the chaos of neon lights and music inside. Hera kept her grip tight on Kanan’s hand as she led him to the bar in the back of the club. A throng of life forms around them made it nearly impossible to find a spot at the bar.
Kanan’s head spun from the noise and being so close to Hera. “Hey,” he managed to say. He had to strain to be heard over the music, and after a few attempts Hera finally noticed. She pointed to her ear cones to indicate she couldn’t hear him. She softened a bit when she saw him shake his head with brows furrowed. The poor guy was completely thrown for a loop; a rare occurrence for her to see.
They were forced to stand close together from the crush of the crowd, so close Kanan could feel the heat from Hera’s warmer body. She slipped her hand into his pocket and looked into his eyes.
“Here,” he asked, incredulous but not totally opposed to the idea.
She winked at him...then turned to the bar. All she had to do was lean in a little to get the bartender’s attention. She pointed to a blue bottle on the top shelf of the bar and slapped down the credits she’d retrieved from Kanan’s pocket. Drink in hand, she gave the other glass to Kanan and settled onto the only miraculously unoccupied barstool in the place.
Nothing had changed for Kanan. Still flabbergasted, he stood unsure of what Hera would do next. She put her hand on his arm and tugged him in close enough to talk right into his ear.
“Don’t go crazy tonight,” she said. “Those were all the credits we brought with us.”
“What is this,” he said.
“Blue mappa,” she said. “Weak stuff, so we can stay sharp.”
“No, I mean…” Acutely aware of how Hera positioned him between her legs as she sat on the stool and of her hand still on his arm, he asked her, “This is part the plan?” as he held up the drink at the crowd.
“I didn’t expect any of this either,” she said. “But we have to make it work.” She sipped the blue mappa and swept glances over his shoulder as she looked for the Avoni targets. Sitting on the high barstool put her right at Kanan’s level. Every so often she would take a break from scouting and catch the rainbow lights reflecting in Kanan’s eyes.
“What’s wrong,” she said, leaning in even closer this time. She nodded to his still almost full glass; hers was more than half gone.
“I guess I lost my taste for it,” he said. Her lekku nudged his arm as she nodded. He let her believe he was talking about the alcohol. Their night in the club raised questions about his past life, in addition to hers.
“How did you know any of this would work,” he asked.
“I knew the bouncer would let us in if I acted like that,” she said. “Everyone likes a flirty hot girl in the club. I knew he’d let you in because it’ll help drink sales. You can always count on males buying drinks, especially if a female shows up with a date. It’s all a big pissing contest.” She gave him a skeptical look. “You were a bartender. I thought you knew all this stuff.”
“There’s a lot about you I don’t know,” he said pointedly as he started nursing the drink.
“What do you think you know about me?” Purple neon lights overhead cast her in a serene violet glow, but under the artificial light Kanan knew her hackles were already up again. She gripped his arm a little tighter. “I do what I have to,” she said. “We only have an hour to get what we need here, before we have to get back to the Phantom. We couldn’t exactly show up with blasters and start throwing down. These people already see me only one way, so I’ll play that card when I need to.”
Briefly, she had the sad and bitter look in her eyes from earlier in the day when she mentioned her father’s connection to the Avoni. She buried it under the last swig of her alcohol. “Let’s dance.” She slid off the stool and took Kanan by the hips.
He shook his head at her, more confused than a flat out refusal. She stood on her tiptoes to reach him with her rationale.
“I think we’ll get a better look out there.”
There wasn’t much room to dance among the crowd, so it didn’t matter that Kanan’s nervousness and confusion prevented him from moving to the music in any coordinated kind of way. Not that there was much to see from him; he couldn’t recall a time when he ever danced. All he had to do was wrap his arms around Hera’s shoulders and hold her close.
The music reverberated around them in waves of sound, pulsing into their bodies. Kanan felt as though the vibrations were at war with his own heartbeat for control over his body. He’d do anything to avoid the DJ’s assault on his ears, even keep fighting with Hera.
“Why did you come down on this mission,” he asked.
“Remember,” she asked him. “My intel? The Avoni?”
“You led me into a dance club, unarmed, to find some possibly dangerous guys that your dad once peripherally knew. Zeb’s a much better fighter than I am. Doesn’t seem like something you’d sign off on.”
“Why do you and Zeb get to have all the fun?”
“What are you talking about? You’re the one at the helm for everything we do. Flying and giving orders.”
“I’m still confused as to where you come off as you know me well enough to get on my case about my orders.”
“I have to remind you that I have no idea what these guys even look like,” he said. “You gave me next to nothing about this mission. Just grabbed me and told me where to go and what to do.” “I didn’t know you had a problem with that.”
A Twi’lek and her date engaged in a heated argument on the dance floor was part of just another night in the club. Most beings wouldn’t give them a second glance. One large man took interest in the proceedings as he stood on the edge of the dance floor, sipping from a gigantic stein with his eyes fixed on Hera. Illuminated in brief beams of multicolored light, she stood out above everyone else in the house.
“Forget it,” Hera said. “We’re almost out of time. I haven’t seen anyone. We need to get out of here.” She broke away from his embrace to push through the crowd. Kanan caught her hand and the two snaked a winding path to leave.
She was able to get through all the roadblocks except for one; the large man who watched her from afar stood in front of her, unmoving. She waved him aside, but he wouldn’t budge. He mimed a drinking motion to her, to which she shook her head. They screamed at each other, unable to hear over the blasting music. Hera pushed Kanan back but his iron clad grip never left her hand. As she tried to sidestep the large man, he grabbed one of her lek and pulled hard.
That did it. The pain that coursed through her would have paralyzed most others, but it added fuel to her fire. She spun around and kneed him solidly between the legs. He folded over, splashing alcohol on her from his tipped stein. She pulled the stein from his hand and clocked him across the face with it. He went down, taking a few club patrons with him.
The fight brought the party to a screeching halt. Literally, the DJ’s track skidded into silence with a high pitched scraping noise. Everyone in the club around them froze in shock. With the thumping music finally quiet, Hera could hear her heart pound in her ear cones. “Let’s go,” she said to Kanan, dragging him along behind her.

The hunger resenting
He is dying.
Tadatomo-sama put sword through his body without any hesitation.
He is speaking to Mappa Douji.
Love and admiration break to pieces.
But before Daitaro has time to properly hate him, the demon surge forth.
They are. They are many, legion, horde, army.
They are dark, abandoned, lost. They are chimimoryos, small spirits of birds and bus and beasts that forgot who they were, soul faded and adrift without memory to support it’s identity.
They are oni, first sprang forth from darkness of human heart, wicked thoughts and negative feelings and sick desires given form by power of cursed shamans.
They are souls who died in sin and pain, warped by their own evil or misfortune in monsters of pure hated and beastly instincts and dark power.
They are miasma and tainted furyoku and curses that managed to scrape by some measly grain of intelligence.
And they hunger.
World is cruel, and humans even more so. There are so so many forgotten and abandoned souls who have became invisible and dies alone.
So so many.
Enough to raise army to overthrow world.
Or give birth to vengeful god.
Years and years of experiments and preparations cannot go unpaid. Thousands of charms, fueled by whole furyoku of two most powerful shamans in Japan for decades upon end. So many spells and amulets and curses.
Demons come, drawn to them by force that rivals gravity, and do they will it isn’t important (does spell change their will) for they cannot resist spell anymore than speck of dust can resist full force of Earth’s orbit. Like steel net without escape spell takes all demons and souls in vicinity and pulls them toward their victim and sacrifice, their target and host.
Their medium.
They come, thousands upon thousands, countless horde, and tear in his mind and body and soul while he is on edge of death, and it is too much and he acn’t bear it-he shatters but doesn’t die.
Instead, he is consumed.
They tear in him, every memory and atom and piece of spirit, tear in him and consume him, flow through him and he flows through them and they become one. His body is theirs, his memory and knowledge and desire theirs, his power theirs, just as their spirits and hatred and hunger are now his.
And he is lost.
They devour each other, devouring existences of one another, and under spell’s guidance, they meld and melt into one being, one creature, one force made of millions, spirits accumulating and empowering one another, like cells of body, or links of chain.
they are discint. They remember their pains, their betrayals, their desires, their revenges. Each of them burns with hatred and pain that lights entire being, most important of them all.
They are one. All souls bound and forged in one, one spirit, one mind, one hunger that outmatches them all, common drive that binds their existence. Pain and anger and sorrow that are as basic and common as blood to all humans and heat to all stars.
And in center, in what could be said to be heart-or brain, truly a center of their existence is a whirpool of unborn resentment, buried and misdirected and waiting to fester and grow and rot world, resentment that only started to truly break through after blood and betrayal and black magic stole life of a simple boy.
You never realize, do you, how powerful things are those hearts of children?
Daitaro-Boushi arises.
It is a grand thing, taller than houses, than mountains, than dreams. It’s footsteps shake earth and carve out lakes and seas, it’s arms create winds, it’s roars shake skies, its punches break mountains. A skeleton and horns and fire and burning eyes.
Humans see it. They shouldn’t see spirits, but Daitaro-Boushi is not spirit anymore. It is human shikigami, man and demon at once, as solid as flesh and bone, as untouchable as soul and spirit. It denies basic laws of universe, and yet it is.
It is more than god, than spirit. It is like night and history itself. It is resentful, resentment of every soul that has been and that shall be. It is beggar dying on road, child neglected, woman raped, old mother forgotten, peasant thrashed. It cannot any more be stricken down than moon can fall down.
And it hungers.
It roars through city, destroying all who stand in way, absorbing every soul it murders. It grows and nothing is enough, life isn’t enough, world isn’t enough. they will pay. they will all pay.
Souls of humans are small and slick, coated in sins and wrongdoing and too many thoughts. Some are especially slimy, as that of priest it stomped on and consumed as he screamed no no Daitaro please dont
Mappa’s soul is small, so so small and tiny. It is soul of weakling, destined for tiny, meagre power of shaman who can barely channel ghost of mouse.
And yet, it is pure and bright and burning and utterly, utterly mad.
Mappa’s soul is pure and unsullied, cleaner than any.It looks like flame of summer stars, smells like meadow on spring wind, feels like fertile clay in fifth season, sounds like clashing of gold during autumn thunderstorm, tastes like clean winter water and Daitaro-Boshi can’t resist.
As Mappa says, he will either stop it, or they will destroy world together.
Mappa is bleeding from arrow in heart and his oni are free.
Resentment staggers. For six years Mappa has heard and knew and felt every single despicable thought and wish and emotion of every thinking creature around him. It isn’t enough.
It is too much.
Power of shaman is best fueled by death coming for shaman and willpower. Those two things can help it reach its final limit.
Mappa is more stubborn than blizzard or downpour and has been courting death on edge between life and otherworld since he was born. But he has reached his small limit long since ago.
But he is stubborn and doesn’t fear death and there is soemthing that must be done, so he reaches out with his warped soul and grabs and clenches and holds and pulls world, holds fate in steady grip and screams at universe until it has no choice.
Mappa’s limit breaks and he too grows.
Daitaro-Boushi is resentful, and great, and so hungry world couldn’t fill him up.
Mappa doesn’t know hunger. He was born with it beneath his bones and heart, an endless gap that he never knew how to fill.
But he knows starvation and that his opponent is so great and that even moons die in time and Daitaro's corpse falls down free and mocking and smiling and tired Mappa just feasts.

re: that one post u reblogged like hours ago - i saw something somewhere about mappa having like, 2 upcoming events that i think might be specifically for yoi, i think one's in february and the other's in april or may, and idk how new seasons of animes are usually announced but i'm assuming (hoping/praying) that they'll do a s2 announcement at one of those!!!
oh god please.... for the sake of my sanity and obsessive personality february pull through!!! 🙏
i mean we pretty much know there’s going to be a season 2, it’s just a matter of when it’s announced and. when the promo material is going to start being released........

The Music Never Dies: Rising From the Grave with ZOMBIE LAND SAGA
Halloween has come and gone, but just as our taste for half-off candy at the local grocery store remains, so too does our hunger for delicious, delicious anime. And so the Fall 2018 Review by “Cruising the Crunchy-Catalog” lives on, rising from a state of eternal slumber to haunt the living with an exploration of some of the hit titles from the anime season of one year ago.
This time, we're exploring a story of musical dreams, undeath, and the rigors (and rigor mortis) of performing live (?) on-stage with a look back at ZOMBIE LAND SAGA.
What's ZOMBIE LAND SAGA?
ZOMBIE LAND SAGA is a 2018 TV anime with direction by Munehisa Sakai and animation production by MAPPA. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:
A typical morning. The usual music. Their normal lives. The peace these seven girls experience will suddenly be destroyed. By the living dead... zombies. A reality that they never wanted a part of, an amazing and terrifying zombie world. They all share one wish: "We want to live." These girls will struggle through this saga, in order to achieve a miracle. MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames team up to bring you a juicy, 100% original anime. A timeless shocker for all audiences, a brand new style of zombie anime, will soon rise.
It's worth remembering that ZOMBIE LAND SAGA is an original project (i.e. one that isn't based on an earlier manga or light novel series), and prior to the first episode airing, no one knew exactly what to expect. Aside from some cryptic videos featuring voice-actor Mamoru Miyano performing in-character, a bit of key art, and some deliberately misleading teaser trailers, there was little indication that this show would be a horror-comedy about a troupe of zombie idols seeking to revitalize Saga Prefecture.

ZOMBIE LAND SAGA has a very particular sense of humor, one that combines groan-inducing puns (“saga” as both the recounting of an epic story and “Saga Prefecture”, “live” refering both to “live music concerts” and Franchochou's undead status, etc.), slapstick humor, and slasher movie sensabilities.
Horror-comedy as a subgenre walks a very fine line, but ZOMBIE LAND SAGA does an excellent job navigating this territory, because most of the gruesome dismemberments and decapitations are played for laughs. The sound direction (also by Munehisa Sakai) is especially good, and prior to settling into a more conventional pop idol formula, the series parodies other musical stylings, such as death metal and hardcore rap.
Putting the 'Romance' in Necromancy
While primarily a comedy packed with plenty of horror elements, ZOMBIE LAND SAGA also has its dramatic and sentimental moments, particularly when dealing with the difficulties that the girls of Franchouchou face both in adjusting to their undead state and tackling the challenges posed by rehearsing, performing, and marketing themselves in a media-saturated world.
The series deals with such diverse impediments as depression, culture shock, family troubles, and the trauma of remembering one's own untimely demise, and some of the best moments in ZOMBIE LAND SAGA occur when it strikes a more serious tone.
The Voice of (Un)Reason
ZOMBIE LAND SAGA wouldn't be nearly as effective either dramatically or comedically if not for some truly inspired voice casting. While the entire cast deserves praise for their performances, two roles in particular stand out, albeit for different reasons.
Mamoru Miyano is completely unhinged as band manager / amateur necromancer Kotaro Tatsumi, delivering rants worthy of a Nicolas Cage movie, while veteran voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi (the Japanese voice of Usagi Tsukino in all versions of Sailor Moon) grunts and growls her way to hilarity as the legendary (and non-verbal) Tae Yamada. The two steal every scene that they're in, and their presence elevates ZOMBIE LAND SAGA to a higher echelon.
Rise From Your Grave
Crunchyroll currently streams ZOMBIE LAND SAGA in some 206 territories worldwide. The series is available in the original Japanese language with subtitles in English, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Russian, and Arabic. Funimation will release ZOMBIE LAND SAGA on U.S. home video on January 07, 2020, and if you need more of the working dead in your life, a sequel anime entitled ZOMBIE LAND SAGA REVENGE is currently in-development.
Straddling the balance between absurdity and sentimentality, ZOMBIE LAND SAGA is a unique viewing experience and the perfect way to shake off the post-Halloween blues. If you're in the mood for oddball comedy, and if the series is available in your area, then please consider giving ZOMBIE LAND SAGA a try.

RATE THE EPISODE 347 Responses
While this episode wasn’t as big of a hit as episode 60, overall most viewers still enjoyed the content and are looking forward to more next week!
amazing amazing! I'm so delighted with this season so far!
Im so beyond pumped i love everything
Dissapointing but acceptable.
I’m like angry I loved it so much.
I just wish we didn't have to wait a week
It was amazing. We all gotta apologize to MAPPA for ever doubting them.
It's a huge stepdown from episode 1. At times the animation was straight up painful to watch. My expectations were low and yet I'm still disappointed :/
WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING WAS YOUR FAVORITE SCENE/MOMENT? 349 Responses
Reiner-centric scenes were the highest on people’s radar, with 24.9% of respondents enjoying his reunion with the warrior cadets, and not far behind, 22.9% enjoyed Reiner bringing up the 104th at the dinner table. In third, with only 13.5%, was Pieck and Porco’s formal introduction to the audience.
Hearing Zeke greet his grandparents with such happiness warmed my heart. I do believe that he loves them.
They just had to add one last image of Ymir's broken face before she died, huh? :(
WE FORGOT TO ASK LAST WEEK D: WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING SCENES/MOMENTS FROM EPISODE 60 WAS YOUR FAVORITE? 348 Responses
Last week we forgot to include what your favorite scenes were. The scene from episode 60 that got the most favor was Reiner’s, “I’m sick and tired… of walls” with 33.6% of the vote. 16.7% most enjoyed Zeke’s titan transforming scream. 14.9% were hyped about Reiner and Porco wrecking Fort Slava.
MAPPA WENT ALL OUT WITH THE CINEMATOGRAPHY IN THIS EPISODE. WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE CINEMATIC PANS AND ROTOSCOPE ANIMATION? 349 Responses
Overall, a total of 74.5% respondents have positive feelings about MAPPA’s use of rotoscope animation and camera panning. Some felt like it was akin to watching a movie, while others are just happy to have the dynamic movement. A smaller amount of respondents didn’t have feelings one way or another, and a minority (about 10.3%) really are not a fan of this type of animation style for the series.
It felt odd sometimes as they used it for long scenes (like Udo talking or Gabi telling the story to her family) but overall it was pretty great and I prefer it to WIT's stale animation during season 3
I liked the more dynamic movement during dialogue, but my roommate found it super awkward and off-model. So a fifty-fifty split in a sample size of two lol
It could have been animated better, but I like the extra dimension it gives to scenes
Enjoyed it a lot! However, there were a few scenes that felt a bit off, like some frames were missing. Specifically, when Udo was doing all those gestures while talking with the rest of the Warrior Candidates.
It felt dynamic to the point of looking unnatural - some gestures and expressions just moved wrong
i'm split, in some scenes it was great (like reiner waking up), but in the dialogue scenes the constant movement seemed kinda unnatural and distracting
It was amazing but at the same time I'd didn't look fluid enough, especially at Udo's mouvements which made the character look kind of...video game-ish in constant moving.
I thought it looked great the rotoscoping, the movements all looked amazing
The animation during Urdu’s scene is so cool! I was caught of guard at first though lol. It’s so realistic!
NOW THAT WE’VE GOTTEN TO HEAR A LITTLE MORE OF THE NEW OST TRACKS, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACK SO FAR THIS SEASON? 344 Responses
So far, reception to the newer music is overall positive. 31.1% are really enjoying the music and think the songs are being used immaculately, and 40.4% really feel that the song choice compliments the scenes they’ve been used in. 13.1% think the songs are good, but miss having that sole Sawano feel to them. 10.8% just feel the music is “ok” and 2.6% aren’t a fan of the new OST tracks so far.
I mean it sounds good, but we haven't gotten to important moments that require a memorable track, so we'll see!
First episode slapped because it really complemented the scene but it's more... generic. I didn't like how it was used in this episode, there wasn't enough of it and again, generic. I miss Sawano's unreal scores.
the animation absolutely blew me away, and i love the intense music that played during Reiners monologue
The music is fine.
I've heard both new and old songs from the previous seasons. Still too soon to make an opinion as we need to hear more.
I am deaf, I can't hear no damn soundtracks
That music guys when they came back to Liberio and reuniting with they parents, made me tear up but also because the scouts never had the chance to go back home with victory in the arms of their family, I wish I could have seen EMA like this.. It kinda felt unfair X) but I was happy for them nevertheless.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE CLOSEUP OF ZEKE’S MOUTH? 346 Responses
Our first of probably too many crack questions in this poll, 32.7% thought the closeup of Zeke lighting his cigarette was cool looking. 21.4% are concerned about Zeke’s lung health. 19.1% are probably annoyed with us and simply don’t care (lol). 13.3% wouldn’t mind smooching Zeke, and 11% were just plain grossed out.
Does smoke even affect a titan shifter? Surely his lungs just heal themselves
ASMR for the eyes, right there. Aww yiss
It was awesome! Zeke is shown as relaxed person with a big drop of mystery.
Smoking Bad but he is gonna die in a year anyway
Suuuuuuucc
It might've just been an artistic choice to include it in there, but i gotta say I'm oddly fascinated and idk why
I don’t remember it lol
I didn't even notice.
Zeke looks hotter than he has ever looked
WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ABOUT ELDIAN ASSES? 341 Responses
Most of the responses seemed to feel rather positively about Eldian asses, with almost 40% seeking out Zeke’s ass wiping technique. About 17% simply stated their appreciation for them, while almost 13% are just thirsty. In contrast, a little over 17% seemed confused to the question’s inclusion and about 10% were confused outright.
MAPPA WHERE IS PIECK'S ASS
More into Eldian thighs, really
I bet Levi’s is nice
If only Eren had one
zeke has the energy of a straight man who doesn't wash his ass
Only Shadis' ass
GIVE IT TO ME 😏😏
They are like normal, human asses. Do not turn them into some magical, special snowflakes, just because they belong to Eldians.
Seek help
Enough
DO YOU WANT REINER TO GIVE YOU A HEAD PAT? 343 Responses
A definitive majority, almost 59 percent, openly expressed enthusiasm for the prospect of a head pat from Reiner. However, a near 30% fraction of responders didn’t seem too happy about this recent chain of less than serious questions. We’re sorry about that. 😅. The rest either didn’t seem interested in said prospect or noted they wouldn’t care either way.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE DECISION FROM MAPPA TO CONDENSE REINER’S FLASHBACK INTO (PRESUMABLY) A SINGLE EPISODE? 346 Responses
It would appear that the majority of those who took our poll express cautious optimism at the prospect of seeing all (or the vast majority) of Reiner’s backstory being adapted into a single episode, with a near 47% supporting the move, thinking it could make the narrative “more coherent”. Almost 20% argue it would work better pacing wise. On the flipside, just over 17% state that they would rather have a more accurate adaptation to the manga. 11.6% simply say they have no opinion. There were also more than a few write-ins.
I do wish everything could be animated to full detail, but pacing and structure will benefit here
They've done a good job so far, so I'll reserve judgement until I actually watch it.
It will be difficult as they're chapters with loads of dialogue, but they can pull it off if unnecessary stuff gets cut out or changed in some type of way (like watching Marcel's death for the sixth time, them breaking through the wall or even Jean and Eren fighting)
If they get the pacing right, then the rearrangement will be for the better.
Reiner flashbacks + Reiner suicide attempt + Falco meeting "Kruger" (more than 2,5 chapters) in a single episode? HELL NO! WTF MAPPA!
Worried and cautiously optimistic.
At least it looks like they're going to stick to just one episode for the RBA flashback. It was mostly just filler anyway, so there was never any need to stretch it out and waste precious time getting back to the Paradis side of the story
I doubt that that's exactly how it is, but if so, then I don't think that that's a wise idea
It’s gonna be rushed as hell
Reiner flashback is very long and there is tons of dialogue, so I dont know how its going fit in only one episode, but if they can make it work then its fine for me
WHICH CHARACTER DESIGN DID YOU LIKE BEST IN COMPARISON TO THE MANGA? 346 Responses
This question gave us a somewhat evenly split pie chart, but Porco nonetheless managed to gain the bigger piece with just over 55%. Surely due to that bomber jacket and haircut. Nearly 45% picked Pieck (gottem) instead. Must have been the somewhat inconsistent nose.
WHO’S SEIYUU DID YOU LIKE BEST? 335 Responses
On the flip side, 68.4% seemed to prefer Pieck’s soft voice. Porco with his (how the hell does Porco sound like… how can you describe his voice) managed to win the hearts of 31.6% of responses.
Pieck voice wtf? I imagined Pieck with a more Hanji-ish voice, not this sweet and high pitched.
DID MAPPA DO PIECK’S NOSE JUSTICE? 345 Responses
The debacle over Pieck’s POWERFUL nose gave us quite a colorful pie chart. Almost 39% of responses noted that Mappa was on point with Pieck’s nose for most of the episode. Afterwards, 26.7% stated that they thought that Mappa got it right only in some points of the episode. On the flip side, another 26.7% thought that Mappa was generally quite on point throughout the entire episode. A small minority (7.8%) thought that Mappa simply did a poor job.
The animation is good, and while I don't want to complain, I have a small problem with the drawings themselves. I feel like they lack precision (like Pieck's nose, idk if that's clear).
I'm grateful for Pieck's nose. I always respected Isayama for drawing imperfect characters, because this way he has made them to look more realistic. Even though Pieck has so-called imperfect nose, she is still absolutely gorgeous. Her imperfections are part of what makes her beautiful and unique.
PORCO’S HAIR - WERE YOU TEAM RED HAIR OR BLOND HAIR? AND ARE YOU HAPPY WITH HIS ANIME COLOR SCHEME? 345 Responses
A far less controversial debacle concerned Porco’s hair scheme. The folks supporting a Blond color scheme were universally content with his hair color (all 57.4% of team Blond). On the flip side, an almost universal approval was also present from team Redhead (13.6% of those supported his blond hair color). 27.5% of the responses seemed to care not about this issue at all, however.
NOW THAT WE KNOW PORCO BETTER IN THE MANGA, DO YOU THINK HE WOULD HAVE *ACTUALLY* DONE A BETTER JOB THAN REINER IF HE HAD INHERITED THE ARMOR AND WENT TO PARADIS? 348 Responses
Porco inheriting the Armored Titan is a rather interesting what-if scenario. Perhaps of the most interesting as a whole, so it’s no surprise to see a rather divided opinion of those who took our poll. A little over 36% believe that Porco doing a better job than Reiner on Paradis is a definite possibility. Just over 24% believe it’s not likely Porco would have done better than Reiner. On the flip side, 21.6% think that is is likely Porco *would* have a more successful conduct on the island. 9.2% believe that Porco’s success is a given and in opposition to that, 8.9% think that Porco’s success would have been basically impossible.
HOW ABOUT IF PIECK HAD GONE TO PARADIS WITH THE WARRIORS? 346 Responses
Much less division here, however. 70.5% of responders believe that Pieck’s possible trip to Paradis (in the initial attack) would have not have resulted in a given “mission success” for the Warriors, although she would have been a rather useful ally. Nearly a quarter, on the other hand, think that Pieck’s inclusion would have ended the story right then and there. The rather small minority of the other responders think that Pieck would not have been useful had she participated in the mission.
GABI HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CONTROVERSIAL CHARACTER. HAS MAPPA BRINGING HER TO LIFE CHANGED YOUR FEELINGS TOWARD HER? 342 Responses
64.6% of respondents overall have positive feelings toward Gabi as of right now, with 39.5% having already been enjoying her character throughout the manga. 25.1% now view her more positively with her being brought to life. 20.2% don’t really care about Gabi either way, and 11.7% feel very negatively toward Gabi, without the anime swaying their opinions.
Gabi still sucks
Sakura ayane as gabi is probably the best thing to happen to me all year
WITH SUCH A DIALOGUE-HEAVY ARC, CUTS WERE INEVITABLE. WHICH CUTS WERE YOU DISAPPOINTED IN, AND WHICH CUTS CAN YOU LIVE WITH?
Overwhelmingly, the scenes that were most missed by manga readers were “Pieck walking on all fours/scaring Porco”, “Zeke mentioning the Ackerman Clan”, “Reiner’s smirk when his family talks about ‘Island Devils’”, and “The imagery of Eren and Armin wrecking ships”. Smaller character details, such as Reiner mentioning how he acted like Marcel on Paradis, Gabi wishing to understand Reiner’s feelings, Falco pointing out how Reiner almost had the Armor taken from him, were also very missed by manga readers, although just less so.
General Calvi talking about Zeke’s loyalty, Gabi getting praise from her parents when they reunite, and Magath trashing the Marleyan navy, were moments that many respondents didn’t feel strongly about one way or another, or felt that these were details that weren’t really needed anyway.
Cutting the scene where Falcon talks about why Reiner kept the AT was really bad. Also the table scene could have been better. Some imagery when Reiner was describing the 104th and his smirk.
The cuts the anime has done made the spectators less informed about some story background stuff. This is in order to direct attention to the marley's eldians planning how to overcome the world's disparagement towards the power of the titans.
I'm sad they cut the gate guards. They humanize the marleyans a bit. Hope they add their scenes next episode and do them justice.
I hope we will get the Gabi/Reiner talk about understanding each other through PATHS when she eats him next episode
Gimme crawling best giiiirl
MAPPA cut Pieck's ass so this episode wouldn't be so ass centered with Zeke's ass wiping technique. This is my theory lol
Great episode but U was so looking forward to the Reiner scene talking about Paradis “devils”. In the mange it was a powerful scene really adding to the duality of Reiner and the pain he has, and the animation did not do it justice. Plus some parts of his speech were probably hard to understand for a non mange reader without the flashback. (Like which one is referring to Jean for example). I really wish it had been better delivered
IS THERE ANY CHANCE WE’LL SEE SOME OF THESE CUTS ANIMATED IN A LATER EPISODE? 342 Responses
them into different scenes. Overall, the majority answered a big, fat, “maybe.” 15.8% are confident that what’s done has been done, and 12.6% are more optimistic that MAPPA will find a way.
Overall I was a bit disappointed. I feel like the amount of material cut from every conversation included really added up overall and gave it a very rushed feel to me. I really hope they add it all in later.
ON THE FLIP-SIDE, WHICH ADDITIONS/CHANGES DID YOU LIKE/DISLIKE?
The changes and additions that MAPPA made were overall viewed very favorably, with the scene of Porco and Pieck interacting with the warrior cadets being the most liked addition. This is followed closely by the overall character movement during dialogue scenes, the small detail about Pieck’s father being unwell, and Gabi shouting “Watashi!” on the train.
I loved the additional details made it very emotional
IT WAS A GREAT TIME TO BE GALLIPIECK TRASH
Sneakier Eren's a nice addition too
Porco my boiii I'm so happy he's here 💖💖💖💖 if mappa is adding some extra scenes then gimme more of gallirei 👀
WHICH SCENE FROM THE PREVIEW ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO? 338 Responses
Unsurprisingly, 42% of respondents are hyped about Kenny’s brief return and Annie’s unlikely encounter with him in the Underground. 22.2% are eager to get that sweet Reiner angst as he is rejected by his Marleyan father. 17.8% are looking forward to Reiner’s training days.
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?
great! it was inevitable they would cut stuff but it hasn't changed any major plot point or thing i would want to see desperately
It was just really great to see the scenes animated, it adds another level of depth and understanding to the story I believe.
Loved anime-onlies missing Eren completely. Some even thought it was him but then noticed the leg and thought against it
I think it was very well done. Just need a little getting used to with MAPPA on the reins now. I think MAPPA added some scenes to show how those Eldians over there are still just human after all and they have their own problems to deal with. 8/10 episode.
I feel like they took a lot of emotion way from reiner. made him seemed stoic and determined to go to the island even though in the make he looked scared about having to return.
I thought the rotoscoping was really well done! I’m happy with the pacing, the fact that the episode felt like it went by fast is good considering it was dialogue based.
Incredible. The direction, the cinematic quality, we are feasting. MAPPA is elevating the story beyond anything I could have imagined! I'm beyond hyped for the rest!! But where is asshole Marley guards/Hobo!Eren's appearance as a favorite moment?!
Incredible, it adapts the source material very well while adding some touches that make it unique in it's own way. As a manga reader, I'm really glad that they're doing this because it feels like a completly different experience from reading it and makes me excited on what changes or directing choices they're going to make during the course of the season, great job so far MAPPA!
Such an amazing episode. Made 20mins feel like 5. MAPPA is doing fantastic. The characters have never felt more alive and the animation style is something I never knew I wanted until now.
I can't believe they didn't cast Mads Mikkelsen to voice Mads Mikkelsen
The episode was good but the dinner scene didn't do justice to the manga. It didn't have the same feeling to it. I saw a lot of anime onlys thinking Reiner was just trying to talk shit about the 104th. I feel like the flashbacks during that part in the manga gave it a nostalgic feeling that helped convey what he truly felt about his time on the island. His facial expressions were not quite there either. Specially sad because it was the moment I was expecting the most this episode and because it's a big part of Reiner's character, maybe next episode can kind of fix this.
I haven't seen the anime only poll results, but given personal conversations with them I imagine quite a few could care less about the Warriors and are looking forward to the 104th showing up to stir shit up. Boy are those folks in for a treat :)
I knew I'd feel more attached to all of them once they got animated. I didn't expect getting real thirsty for Lainah.
I was so happy with how much detail MAPPA put into the background scenery. Also, I think that an underrated moment during this episode was the Marlian douchebag triggering the Eldian soldier’s PTSD. You could really feel their terror, and THEY KEPT THE HOBO EREN PART IM SO HAPPY!
Its consistently very pretty and well animated which is great of course, but I worry the team won’t be able to maintain this quality for some of the meatier scenes in the later episodes. The fast pace of the episode (compared to the manga) as well as the many cuts make it a bit harder for scenes to stick, I wish there was a bit more breathing room at times. This also makes the fancy animation and frequent rotoscoping cuts feel less impactful for me—with every scene being cut down to its core ingredients, and every scene having at least one cut with more motion and energy than we’re used to, I can’t help but feel it all kind of mashes together without sticking out as much, leaving less of an impact. (I feel really really weird actually complaining about good camerawork/animation, what the hell lol) Also hobo <3
Plenty of questions about ass but no questions about the full ED? Or how we thought the episode did at hiding Eren in plain sight?
rip Reiner's chocolate abs :'(
The episode wasn't as interesting as the first one. I was yawning from time to time. Yet, I think that Mappa did a great job, because it's hard to animate full of dialogues chapters. I was disappointed of the fact that flashbacks from Paradis have been cut. I hoped to see Sasha, Connie, Ymir and Marco while Reiner was speaking about them. Without the flashbacks we just got the dry speech and this way hard to say what Reiner is really thinking about people he met on Paradis. We - as manga readers - already are aware of his feelings, but anime onlies may not know and see Reiner as cold hearted person. I'm not complaining over animations or the OST tracks because no studio is perfect and some small mistakes here and there won't destroy my fun. I just sit and enjoy the episode.
Very good, with the exception of the dinner scene, in which the director missed the mark completely with the tone.

WHICH WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF EPISODE 73? 43 responses
The pie for episode 73 was rather colorful! 23.3% most enjoyed the much anticipated Levi vs. Zeke 2.0. 20.9% thought seeing Levi having to fight his own comrades in titan form was the most memorable moment of the episode. At a tie for 14% people thought Eren disparaging his friends and Eren beating up Armin had the biggest impact in this episode. 9.3% felt the biggest impact by seeing Armin punch Eren in the face, while another 7% were most impacted by Levi’s brutality against Zeke as he filleted his legs.
WHICH WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF EPISODE 74? 43 responses
The scene that stuck most with anime watchers was Zeke detonating the thunder spear and sending Levi flying, with 51.2% of respondents giving their vote to the closing scene of the episode. 11.6% felt the most impacted by the scene of Zeke listening to Grisha yelling at Dina through the door, and another 11.6% felt the reveal of Zeke’s euthanasia plan is the detail that stuck out the most. 7% seemed most affected by the Yeager Brothers’ secret conversation.
EPISODE 73 IS TITLED, “SAVAGERY.” OF THE OPTIONS BELOW, WHICH CHARACTER DO YOU THINK BEST EXEMPLIFIED THIS WORD? 42 responses
The episode’s title, “Savagery” can most certainly be attributed to one of the characters on screen, so it’s no surprise that there was differing opinion on which character exemplified that. The plurality (47.6%) chose to go with Levi, perhaps due to his arguably cruel treatment of Zeke after his victory. Eren was the runner up with 31%, probably due to the cruel nature of his words to Mikasa and Armin. The rest of the votes went to Shadis’ nemesis, Floch and a few to Zeke himself (Titanization Man).
HOW BADLY DID YOU FEEL ABOUT LEVI HAVING TO KILL HIS OWN SQUAD? 43 responses
Although there were some people who didn’t really seem to care, most of the respondents (88.3%) seemed to feel for Levi’s struggles. Poor guy needs a break!
poor levi he through some shit:(
ON A SCALE OF 105, HOW WOULD YOU RATE LEVI VS. ZEKE 2.0? 43 responses
Levi vs Zeke 2.0 garnered a lot of praise from the responses gathered. 90.7% gave the showdown a 4 or a 5 (mostly 5s) and no one gave it a score lower than 3. Very nice!
WHY DO YOU THINK FLOCH MADE THE RECRUITS BATTER INSTRUCTOR SHADIS? 43 responses
Floch’s actions in Episode 73 focused on Instructor Shadis and the takeover of the Training Facility, culminating in Keith’s beatdown. We asked you why you believe Floch made the cadets do so. 34.9% of respondents thought that it was due to Floch having an ego trip, as Shadis said himself. 14% thought that it truly was due to Floch believing in Shadis representing the old order, necessary to “purge”. Finally, some select folks believed that Floch wanted to make an example out of the Instructor. Finally, another 34.9% of respondents said that all of the aforementioned reasons were valid to a degree.
HOW CUTE WAS BITTY ZEKE? 42 responses
Little Zeke has appeared multiple times in Episode 15 and what better way to make one feel sympathy for someone than portraying them as a cute kid? 78.6% thought Zeke was exceptionally cute, giving a score of 4 or 5 (mostly 5s). The rest were less thrilled, though there were only two 1s.
lil baby zeke is so cute
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT GRISHA’S TREATMENT OF ZEKE? 43 responses
Grisha’s treatment of Zeke during his childhood is perhaps one of the most important events when it comes to shaping Yeager Junior’s view on the world. We asked how you felt about that. 27.9% stated that they felt much sympathy for Zeke and believed he deserved none of it. Another 27.9% sympathized with Zeke, but didn’t hold too much blame over Grisha due to his precarious position. A little over 25% went even further called Grisha the worst parent in the series. Quite a lot of those in AoT/SnK. 11.6% were more mild and simply chastised Grisha for his treatment. One person said that they didn’t care for Zeke’s struggles at all and we also received 2 write-ins.
Grisha's intentions were good, but the way he treated Zeke was not
I get that he doesn't want anyone else to suffer the same tragic and horrific fate that Fay did, but I still wanted to reach through the TV screen and smack the life outta Grisha
DO YOU FEEL THAT ZEKE WOULD HAVE GROWN INTO AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT KIND OF PERSON IF GRISHA HAD TREATED HIM BETTER? 43 responses
An interesting what-if comes when asked about the possibility of Zeke being treated differently by his father in his childhood and how that would affect Zeke’s view of the world. 53.5% believe that even if Grisha treated Zeke differently, it’s not possible to say if Yeager Junior’s worldview would be completely different since there were other factors. In contrast, 32.6% think that his perspective would have been totally divergent from the one we’ve seen. 9.3% weren’t sure and we also received 2 write-ins.
Zeke is who he is because of his childhood, it includes Grsiha's treatment but also his grand parents and Ksaver. If we take off one piece of hid childhood, he would have been another person.
If the circumstances were right, possibly. But that would take a hell of a lot of trauma.
WHO DO YOU THINK HAD A BIGGER IMPACT IN SHAPING ZEKE’S WORLDVIEW? 43 responses
Just under 70% believe Ksaver had a bigger impact on shaping Zeke’s viewpoint on existence, in contrast to a little over 30% who think Grisha was the bigger pull here.
WHO TURNED OUT MORE LIKE GRISHA, IN YOUR OPINION? 42 responses
It is also interesting to note the comparison between the two Yeager Brothers and how much influence their father had on them. Overwhelmingly, 81% believe that Eren turned out to be more like Grisha in his nature versus 19% who think that Zeke received such honor (or dishonor, if you so choose to believe).
WHO WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO PUNCH IN THE FACE AFTER THESE EPISODES? 42 responses
We decided to give the respondents an out for their frustrations by allowing them to choose a person to a punch! The “golden” dishonor went to Floch, with 35.7%, which was followed by Eren with 16.7% and the author of the original work himself, Isayama Hajime, also with 16.7%. Geisha received the bronze and 14.3% of the vote. Zeke and especially Levi were less popular options. In contrast, 7.1% stated that they had no interest in punching anyone. Also, no one expressed a desire to physically assault us, the pollsters. Thanks!
HAVE THE EVENTS THAT HAVE TRANSPIRED CHANGED YOUR OPINION ON EREN? 42 responses

I dont know
I’m mad about what’s happening HOWEVER, that is my man ✨😌
I like him increasingly since the beginning of the story. His development is fantastic. Best character.
I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but not anymore. This ain't it chief
WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT THE EMA TALK? 42 responses
The majority of viewers were genuinely shaken by this scene, with 38.1% feeling that there is nothing but pain on the road ahead, while another 23.8% are already actively wailing at the apparent death of EMA’s bond. 21.4% are simply in disbelief at Eren’s treatment of his friends. A small handful actually enjoyed Eren eviscerating his friends, while another handful didn’t really have an opinion either way.
It was awesome. Isayama lets us build our opinion without any sign of "look, that's the good way to think"
I can excuse the whole raid of Liberio and mass murder thing, but beating up Armin? Telling Mikasa he hates her? That's where I draw the line
I am soulless. For Eren to go from sharing his dreams of the future with Armin and Mikasa to threatening them like enemies broke me. Easily the hardest part of the anime to watch to date.
DO YOU THINK THAT EREN IS CORRECT ABOUT ARMIN BEING MANIPULATED BY BERTOLT? 41 responses
More than half of respondents believe that there is some truth to what Eren is saying, but that he’s not wholly correct. 26.8% feel that Eren is dead wrong about Bertolt affecting Armin. In equal parts of 9.8%, fans either feel that Eren knows what he’s talking about, or aren’t sure what to think.
DO YOU THINK EREN IS RIGHT ABOUT THE NATURE OF THE ACKERMAN CLAN? 42 responses

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT EREN’S EXPLANATION OF THE ACKERMANS’ POWERS? 42 responses
45.2% of viewers feel that Eren’s explanation of the Ackerman power is a somewhat positive thing, and that it adds more layers onto the relationships that our Ackerman characters have with others. 16.7% are just happy to have any kind of explanation at all and think it makes perfect sense. On the flipside, another 16.7% feel that everything Eren said wasn’t true and are reserving judgement for further story development. 14.3% absolutely hate Eren’s explanation of the Ackerman power and feel it cheapens the bond characters like Mikasa and Levi have with others.
Kenny said it : "Everyone was a slave to something". It makes perfect sense. 💯
DOES EREN BELIEVE THE CRUEL WORDS HE SAID TO ARMIN AND MIKASA? 42 responses
More than half of respondents still have some faith in Eren and believe that he wasn’t being his true self when talking with Armin and Mikasa. 23.8% don’t want to say either way for sure if these feelings are genuine. 19% think that Eren believes every word he said and truly feels his way toward his friends now.
EREN SAYS HE IS FREE. ARMIN SAYS EREN IS A SLAVE. WHAT DO YOU THINK? 42 responses

WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN TO MIKASA NOW? 42 responses
Eren was particularly hurtful to Mikasa, a character who has been nothing but loyal and caring toward him for the entire duration of their friendship. Many fans would like to see her develop away from him, but is this moment the catalyst for such development? 57.1% seem to feel that she will grow from this experience, though it would be impossible for her to stop caring about Eren despite his poor treatment of her. 11.9% feel the opposite, and think that she won’t grow from this experience, but rather that it will hinder her, and she will be forever broken. 9.5% believe that despite Eren’s cruelty, she will continue to have unwavering faith in him. Small handfuls either felt she will move past this and become her own person without Eren impacting her anymore, or that she will grow to deeply resent Eren as a result of his actions toward her.
EREN TALKS ABOUT HOW MIKASA’S HEADACHES ARE A SIDE EFFECT OF HER ACKERMAN GENES. LEVI IS SEEN GRABBING HIS HEAD IN THE EPISODE PRIOR. DO YOU THINK HE’S ALSO HAVING AN ACKER-HEADACHE AT THAT MOMENT? 42 responses
Levi is seen grabbing his head for the first time in the series just before Eren mentions Acker-headaches are a thing. 57.1% believe that Levi is, indeed, having a headache, giving more credibility to Eren’s words. Everyone's saying 'Fuck Gabi' but I've been screaming 'Fuck Floch' with my whole chest since the end of season 3...he receives all of my hate LMAO
FUCK FLOCH
I have fostered an visceral hatred for him since the moment he was introduced and honestly now I'm just glad it's justified

very very satisfying
He did it for Erwin<3

WAS ZEKE’S CHOICE TO TURN IN HIS PARENTS JUSTIFIED? 41 responses
41.5% believe that Zeke was justified in turning in his parents as it was able to protect himself and his grandparents - innocent parties that would have otherwise been in trouble - from going down with Grisha, Dina and the restorationists. 22% believe that he was justified because his parents’ poor treatment toward them deserved some kind of consequence. 19.5% feel the other way, however, and believe that Zeke should have let his parents know Marley was closing in on them. Another 14.6% believe that Zeke could have figured out another way to prevent his parents from being sent to Paradis.
Mixed feelings.
IN A STORY FILLED WITH TRAGIC CHILDHOOD BACKSTORIES, WHERE DOES ZEKE’S RANK? 41 responses

KSAVER TELLS ZEKE THAT DINA AND GRISHA NEVER LOVED HIM. THOUGHTS? 42 responses
When it comes to the matter of whether Grisha and Dina actually loved Zeke, nearly 60% felt that they did love him, but their love for him didn’t supersede their commitment to their mission to restore the Eldian Empire. 21.4% feel that their love for Zeke and commitment to their mission were equal in strength. 16.7% agree with Ksaver, and believe that Grisha and Dina didn’t love Zeke at all.
DO YOU THINK KSAVER WAS A GOOD PERSON? 42 responses
While we only see Ksaver for one episode, we were curious about your judgement of his character. 35.7% believe that he was a good person, even if he may have made some bad decisions at certain points. 28.6% believe he truly was a good person, and genuinely cared for Zeke as if he was his own son. 19% feel the opposite, and believe he wasn’t a good person, feeling that he manipulated Zeke and disapprove of him lying to his wife and son about his Eldian genetics. 11.9% aren’t sure what to think, but feel there’s more to Ksaver’s story than meets the eye.

DOES ZEKE’S RATIONALE FOR KILLING PEOPLE HELP JUSTIFY IT? 41 responses

He’s FINE everything’s FINE
HOW DID THESE EPISODES MAKE YOU FEEL ABOUT THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS?
The 5 characters that we listed had the biggest focus in these episodes (typically in a controversial light) so we wanted to see how opinions may have changed.
The characters who seem to have received more negative backlash were Grisha and Floch, with Eren trailing behind them. Zeke and Levi were viewed more favorably when all was said and done. Though for unchanged opinions, Eren and Levi seem to have hit more in the middle than the other characters did. Grisha appears to have netted no positive feelings.
WE’VE ONLY GOT ONE EPISODE LEFT FOR THIS RUN! HOW ARE YOU FEELING ABOUT IT? 42 responses
When it comes to the feelings of respondents about the anime ending, we’ve gotten a multitude of responses. A plurality, 45.2% had a more positive view, looking forward to the Part 2 announcement. Close behind were 42.9% who expressed their frustration at the loss of a source of entertainment on Sundays. Less popular responses focused on open despair (due to the anime ending) and in contrast to the rest of the respondents, one person expressed disappointment in this entire season. We’ve also received one write-in.
I’ve already started up the manga, I couldn’t wait for the last episode and I certainly can’t wait for part 2 lol
DO YOU THINK WE WILL GET AN ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE NEXT ANIME INSTALLMENT NEXT WEEK? 43 responses
We’ve asked the respondents whether they believed we were going to get a Part 2 announcement the week of the final episode. Now we know that to be the case, it is interesting to look back. 67.5% expressed hope in seeing that announcement with 41.9% (overall) feeling a bit cautiously optimistic, in contrast to the 25.6% (overall) seeing conviction. In contrast, 30.2% were not so sure, with 20.9% (also overall) not feeling too hopeful and 9.3% (again, overall) were lacking any expectations at all. Now we know that the former folks were pessimistic for no reason. Yay.
Please MAPPA I need this :,(
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODES?
Tears
The reveal of Zeke's backstory has shown us once again that in AoT, there is no black and white but multiple shades of gray and that people like Zeke and Levi can be savage despite having noble intentions. It's sad that Eren and Armin would have to fight like that and I'm annoyed that Mikasa chose to hurt Armin when he punched Eren for her. It's like she has shown that what Eren was saying about her is true.
No other thoughts just sad :(
Pain.
I know Zeke is no ordinary Man. Everyone thinking"oh Zeke boy evil, cruel, throwing something" ı think always not Just that simple. Because ı saw, he sells patents, its really Hard choice for 7 8 years old boy.
the recent episodes have been amazing and Isayama has by far the sexiest brain out of all creators, period
I was shocked to find out that Ksaver told Zeke to turn in his parents. I honestly thought Zeke was just feeling bold that day LOL but ya excellent episodes, 5/5 for both! As always, thank you MAPPA for the food<3
I am Scared and Sad and I can't wait for the next one
