a lot of people have been asking how they can help me during the recovery time from Hurricane Helene and I am the type of person who hates asking for help, but unfortunately I've reached a breaking point of needing it. 

the major point of the storm hit Friday, Sept 27th, and that is when I lost power at 6:40 am. I still do not have power, and they don't know when I will. for the first two days, I was trapped in my house because where there was a creek in front of my house, it turned into a rushing, dangerous river. i didn't have water or food. What water i did have i gave a lot to my disabled cat in hopes that the power would come on soon, or i would be able to get out. 

you may know that I am a 911 dispatcher, so I kept watching the water and eventually to drive out knowing work was going to be overloaded. I got stuck and walked through almost knee-high water to get help. I found out that someone up the road from me lost their life in the flood, and it was a hit to my heart because, as hopeless as I felt at least, I had my life. 

my landlord was able to help me get my car out and some belongings. I left what water I could for milo and drove to town. a 25 min drive took almost 2 hours through trees, water, rocks, and mud. my little town looks like the end of the world. 

now, a few days later, I am exhausted. I have been able to go back and give milo more water, but still no power. work is hell, but I keep pushing to help people who are stuck. tomorrow, I am going to go back out and walk through the mud to get to my house and clean out my ruined fridge. while im out there, I'm gonna load up with donated supplies from work and give them out to people who can't leave the remote area. 

but the help I need is sadly money. I can't stay at home. gas, food, and bills have already drained my account. this hurricane ripped up my life so quickly in ways I didn't expect. you don't consider you have to buy muck boots or food to fill a fridge once you get power. life is harsh. 

if you can help, thank you. if you can't, that is completely okay. thank you for letting me get this out. it's been a long few days, and it's gonna be even longer.

Hey guys.

I am just checking in. The hurricane has been devastating. It could have been worse for me, but it has been dramatic enough. I just got out of my house today and into town where I can have access to power, food, and water. I was finally able to contact family and friends which was emotionally taxing.

I don't know when I will have power back at my house or when I will be back settled. Though I know this is the least important thing, I am asking for your patience when it comes to my blog and my writing. My October fic will be much later than anticipated as I pull my life back together after this disaster.

Thank you for understanding. If you are also struggling with a similar situation or something worse, please know my heart goes out to you and I wish with my full soul that I could help you more than with just my words.

Sometimes I think about putting my older Patreon exclusives on Tumblr and then someone says something rude to me and I just---keep putting that on the back burner.

I write LONG ass fics each month now and they get put on Tumblr the middle of the month, every single month. Yes, they go on Patreon first, and YES there are older fics that are Patreon exclusives.

You don't have to read the teasers, they all say they are Patreon exclusives, but also my Patreon is $5 a month. I use the money I make on there to buy food and gas to get myself to and from work. So you can be mad at me for putting my writing on there, but at this point I don't care. It's my choice and my work.

It's "fanfiction", but at this point I'm literally using names and a face in a header. I barely use anything that would be characterized as "OMG that is so Mingyu!" This is my original writing that I could honestly change the names on and it would be something completely the same fic without a kpop idol's name attached.

So with all that said, read my fics or don't. I write them for you all to enjoy and because I LOVE to write, but also don't be an asshole to me because you think you deserve something.
