Speaking of some things being objectively better than others for very important reasons, I booted up my brother’s old copy of Hyrule Warriors yesterday and tried to get A-ranks in the adventure mode, only to gradually realize just how important the level-up system is, meaning that no matter how good you are, the only way to have a chance of getting A-ranks on the later stages is to grind until the enemies don’t take 5 whole minutes each to kill.
Then I ranted to myself in my room about how Ultrakill’s P-ranks are way better

In Vedic Astrology, every chart tells a story: a story of destiny, purpose, and hidden yearnings. If you're dreaming up a world of your own, here's a quick guide on getting everything to line up smoothly for maximum reader immersion. 
Begin with the Basics
Foundation: Start by understanding the natural world's physics. It helps to know the rules before you bend or break them.
Consistency: Decide on the rules of your universe and stick to them. If magic drains energy in chapter one, it can't be consequence-free in chapter five.
Limitations: Every system, magical or not, should have its limits. This can create tension, obstacles, and more intricate plots.
A Dash of Reality:
Relatability: Even if your world is filled with flying pigs, there's gotta be something relatable. Maybe those pigs need sleep, or they're terrified of storms. Ground some aspects in reality.
Cause and Effect: If a character uses a spell, there should be a consequence. It can be as simple as being tired or as complex as altering the fabric of the universe.

Have a ramble about Legends Arceus bc I’m playing it again and am being reminded how much I love it
We were given so much with Arceus only for much of it to be taken away with scarlet and violet. Don’t get me wrong I love Violet like I have some criticisms but it’s more related to the push of having a new pokemon game every year. Similar to SwSh ScarVi very much would’ve benefited from a delay in its release and just having more time to work on it. Anyways this is not what puts Arceus above them instead what I actually love about arceus is this:
1. THE UI
This is more aesthetics more than anything but I absolutely love the ui for arceus. I honestly prefer having the headshots as icons for each Pokémon to be better than the tiny full body ones. This is just a little thing but I wish ScarVi kept the ability to see which Pokémon were shiny just from the preview icon. Like let me actually see it so I don’t accidentally mistake one as not shiny. Another element that I love and wish wasn’t removed was the ability to evolve from the menu. Auto evolving once they reach a level is nice but I don’t know having it as more of option for you to choose is really nice. It is especially good whenever you get Pokémon that are well past their evolution level and therefore take a lot more to level them again so that they evolve. Then you have to repeat the process again if it’s a three evolution line.
2. The Open World + side quests
While Arceus wasn’t the first introduction to open world I still feel it was the one that really mastered it. You just had a lot more space to roam and honestly I kind of like the idea of the varying biomes being divided into different areas you have to unlock. But I think what really helped the open world aspect was the number of side quests you could get. Because this truly encourages you to explore and wander. It was just going from one point to another. There were multiple other things you could do in between. Also I feel compared to ScarVi and SwSh the open world in Arceus just felt a bit more alive in a way. This point I’m not sure what it is that sets Arceus apart in this way. Maybe it’s bc the area you were in felt a lot more like you were out in the wilderness. Which given the basis of Arceus makes sense. And as far as main series games I’m not sure how this would be accomplished without repeating arceus again.
3.The Pokemon catch + shiny system
I don’t know there’s just something I love about not having to start a battle to catch a pokemon. It just really breaks away from the uniform formula that every other game has followed. And just finding other methods to effectively catch them without engaging in battle adds to it. Just let me throw pokeballs at pokemon without restraint. It’s very Pokémon rangers-esque honestly. Also while ScarVi does have overworld shinies I just wish they still kept the alert sound. Especially bc some Pokémon are very subtle. Also for me I’m the type of person that will just go running through an area with complete tunnel vision and the only thing that keeps me from passing shiny Pokémon is the alert sound. Just bring that back.

I like where he's coming from, but this still feels like balancing on a knife's edge. Surely one could still get distracted by something? Or is he able to prevent that with his on-the-fly brain chemical manipulation, too? Which, that sounds insane, by the way. I had just assumed Green Lantern willpower lantern light stuff was a continuous substance and also afaia it doesn't just follow the laws of physics, it does whatever you will it to do, so is he willfully projecting the stuff to behave as a system of quantum objects to make each molecule? and then doing that in large enough quantities to work as intended? and placing each molecule in the correct place? and then manipulating each molecule to act in accordance with the laws of physics to actually interact with his brain cells the way it's supposed to?
I also don't like the conclusion he's approaching that there is something more to his essence besides his brain. I mean, there might be, since it's fiction, but like. well okay "you are your brain" is still inaccurate (or perhaps more correctly imprecise): you are the dynamic processes happening (mostly) in your brain (but also the rest of your nervous system). And these can be altered by many things in your body or your environment! And, famously, people are capable of altering their environment and body! He could have already done something similar to his brain just by taking drugs! presumably not to such great effect (except again that this is fiction), but still. it's perfectly coherent to say that the dynamic processes in your brain can affect their own inputs and evolutions, we do it all the time (referencing notes you've previously taken, taking drugs, eating food, going to a different location, etc.). Just because you've mastered a powerful and precise method of altering your own brain processes doesn't mean there needs to be something else pulling the strings behind the scenes, you've just created a feedback loop is all.
