ESO Housing Wishlist - Master Post
My top wishes for Housing features. Many of these are also popular items repeatedly requested by the community: on the forums, reddit, in-game, discords, etc.
See also: #eso housing wishlist
Improve TAB-TAB-TAB-TAB-TAB to Select
My biggest frustration with the housing UI/UX. Explained, video + potential solutions:
https://moonpile.tumblr.com/post/774590743855644672/tab-tab-tab-tab-tab-eso-housing-uiux
https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/671574/housing-ui-please-add-an-easy-way-to-switch-btwn-mouse-vs-keyboard-precision-positioning
Option to add slots to homes < the 700 cap
We all know "more slots!" is the most popular request, and we know it can't currently be done. But could smaller homes be upgraded? E.g. +100 to Bismuth Steam Baths or Sleek Creek. AND/OR: Option to switch item slot type: Exchange a few Collectible slots for Traditional as needed.
Toggle to hide NPC paths in Edit Mode
(Eye strain when building and visiting. I rarely use paths because it becomes a neon mess in Edit mode.)
Custom-placed portals / entrance
(NOT more load screens please; the 1-second black screen like base game doors have are fine. + Option to choose a custom entrance / spawn point (within reason, not death traps).) This could be a 2-way portal, similar to the ones in dungeons. It might be 2 different features: custom placed portals & custom spawn point. Allowing players and visitors to port directly to a build site would save on dozens / hundreds of slots that get wasted on reskinning (Example: https://moonpile.tumblr.com/post/787718413012369408/the-boat-house-hundings-palatial-hall-eso). Or curb confusion in houses like Potentate's Retreat – many great builds leave the house completely empty and build in the back; a new-to-housing visitor would not know this and might think there's nothing to see (especially without descriptions in Home Tours). We could make better builds and maybe even complain a little less about the slot limits! Setting a custom entrance would bypass extra load screens in houses like Hall of the Lunar Champion. (E.g., instead of having to go through the main hall, you'd port directly into the set wing.
Lock / unlock interactibles individually
Ideally: 1. Lock all items (as currently implemented by Limited Visitor) then 2. manually unlock specific items that would be OK for guests to use. In some builds we'd like visitors to use certain doors or other toggle items, without the thread of it being "vandalized" (by trolls who change all the lights, etc.)
Add more EHT functionalities to Editor, like right-click-to-place:
https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/666092/please-add-ehts-right-click-to-place-put-away-to-base-game
Home Tours: Descriptions, custom books, screenshots
This one needs its own post:
Brightness and Hue/Saturation sliders for lights
Let flying pets sit!
At least in homes :( and Houseguests too. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/656851/feedback-u42-u-flying-pets-please-let-them-sit
A collectible, 1-slot "Crafting Rotunda"
I'm more likely to revisit my old builds when they have crafting stations. I either blend them into the build, or make my own "Rotunda" with a simple floor and the basic stations, grouped with a Collectible furnishing I can easily search for and summon to my location:
But this takes a lot of slots. EHT has a similar option, but again not everyone has EHT (I don't use this because it has a chance to mess up placement of things & undo/redo history, since grouping can be buggy even in base game). It would be amazing to have a 1-slot Collectible version: a nicely-designed floor or pergola with the 7+ basic stations (optionally with Outfit, Transmute, etc.) So players could include this as part of the build if they wanted, or easily summon it from F5 / underground / whatever.
Make ALL furnishings available in the Crown store or stacks in tester boxes on the PTS
Many are missing from the PTS altogether (e.g. Murkmire throne, plants, etc.) or can only be accessed one at a time, requiring a create/delete-alt-toon parade. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/675965/with-dev-schedule-changing-can-pts-na-eu-schedule-please-be-more-balanced
Make it impossible to copy/paste builds unless the builder allows it:
Extendable chain and rope:
Simple chain and rope furnishings with 2-3 interaction states: long, longer, short. Because it's not always possible to clip entire chandeliers through a floor to hang something. And a nuisance to spend slots hiding the candle part of Druidic Gourd Candle, Hanging and similar just to use the rope, or spend slots using multiple Daedric chains, etc.
Refresh Home Goods vendors
Add new items (old assets) to vendors in old zones! E.g. some in #eso plant wishlist, #eso furniture wishlist
Scaling items
Within limits, not to stretch textures. We already see item scaling in the world, and some scaling options would help reduce the need for more furnishings. Like the above example of Plants, Dense Underbrush.
VFX / memento player
Some gizmo that can be "attuned" to store and play visual effects like Mementos, which otherwise sit forgotten in our Collections menu. Similar to the Constellation Projection Apparatus, but customizable. (E.g. I could make it project Soul Crystals of the Returned.
More interaction for homes like harvesting, fishing, bed rest bonus, etc.
Even if very limited like once daily, like the Dragonguard crate. Reason to revisit our own homes.
Armor & weapon racks, mannequins, musical instruments
To show off our collected weapons and armors! It would be fun for unique quest items too, things that normally get vendored. Musical instruments included here too because it's crazy seeing all of these assets out in the world everywhere, but unable to use them!
Change house zone music
Choose from soundtracks from other houses / zones, including quiet ones, like the entrance hall of Hakkvild's. Music boxes are 1. attached to Effects volume rather than Music volume, 2. usually high-pitched. So I can barely hear them (have Effects turned down because some can also be too disruptive), and when I can, they become grating quickly.
Bards as Houseguests
Especially Daahin from Rimmen!
Place our alts as Houseguests
Some homes belong to specific characters; it'd be nice to see them there and give homes more life. It would be really fun if they could wear polymorphs!
A lot of specific items, existing assets:
Like this plant: https://moonpile.tumblr.com/post/757549546985373696/eso-housing-wishlist-plant-wishlist-p1
Birds, tiny frogs and giant glyptodons! And other "Environmental" creatures. (preferably not as pet slots; regular Collectible or Special furnishing would be great)
Simple glass windows! Like 1 side of the Display Case, Large from Alinor.
#eso furniture wishlist
#eso plant wishlist
On/Off toggle for luminous windows
We're happy they no longer change with weather / TOD as of the last update! But it would help to have an on/off toggle for any "enchanted" windows that project light.
Fill containers with dirt or water
Would be cool if possible!
More granular time-control
Bottom of the list because the time control we got is already a great help. But more time options would be wonderful. Explained: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/633586/a-little-disappointed-in-the-chronometer-suggestion
Fulfilled:
Weather Control! ✔
This was a big one; vastly improved building and visiting. Thank you!
More storage, furniture storage and/or deconstruction ✔
(If decon, it must return all mats. Else it's not worth it and not a suitable replacement for storage. Furniture is too expensive.) This was helped greatly by the Furnishing Vault, thank you! Most heavy housers say it did not empty our storage houses, and wish it held more 200-stacks instead of 500 1000-stacks;it's rare that we stack any single item over 200. But it's a great addition, and since adding more slots to this one wasn't possible, could we hope for more Vaults in the future?
Large landscaping pieces, water
Partly fulfilled! ✔
Related: Scaling items
#eso plant wishlist
Everyone uses the overgrown hedges for green cover. Something like Plants, Dense Underbrush but MUCH larger would be so helpful. Really happy that a lot more items like this were added since Gold Road!! The Dawnwood trees and structures are incredible (shame about the plan drop rates though) and the new Sandstone Boulders and Water Chestnut trees from Solstice are fantastic for cover-up. Thanks also for giving Tree, Gentle Weeping Willow as a login reward! More like this please :) There's also a great-looking water feature pack datamined. I hope it won't be too expensive, and that the new waterfalls will not have frustrating rocks jutting out in front like the Summerset one. We also got some big new bushes and grass clusters! But no green. I'd love more dense, green options that can convincingly cover bare, brown ground and floors. The Dawnwood platforms and ramps have helped.

hello, world!
My pen name is Mei Ting Tang, and I'm an aspiring comic artist!
I've always felt the most fulfilled when I can help others, and feel like I've added positively to the world. Subsequently, I constantly changed course throughout my life to find a way that I can do just that that feels like "me."
Initially, I was poised to work in academia, thinking that I could positively contribute to students' lives through teaching, and completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. However, after experiencing the toxic nature of academic research and having the opportunity to pivot my post-graduate plans to something that also included art (another passion of mine), I completed my Master's degree in Scientific Illustration and Communication instead. I was excited at the prospect of having opportunities to help improve the public's scientific literacy and patient education, even if I didn't know exactly what that looked like for me by the time I graduated.
In the workforce, I had opportunities to work in the healthcare space as a UX/UI designer and design consultant, and then as a VR level designer. Although, I constantly felt at arm's-length from the people I was impacting with my work, and the mental effort my jobs demanded of me left me with little energy to pursue my other passions--like art--after hours.
However, due to a combination of (admittedly unfortunate) circumstances, I am so grateful and privileged to have the silver lining of the opportunity to choose to make writing science comics (but also maybe other genres??) my 9-to-5 instead of my 5-to-9.
And the first step towards my dream is this blog! I hope to use this space to document my writing/drawing progress, my thoughts and inspirations, and my journey to publication--a lot of which I still have much to learn about!
Nice to meet you, thank you for reading, and I hope you stop by again!
- Mei Ting 🐣

How to Master Color Theory in Graphic Design – Easy Tips for Students

Introduction
Color is perhaps the most influential graphic design element. It can evoke moods, express emotions, and enhance visual appeal. Whether you're a beginner or an aspiring designer, learning color theory is crucial to achieving professional and stunning designs. In this blog, we simplify color theory and provide easy tips to help students learn it effectively.
Knowing the Fundamentals of Color Theory
Before diving into advanced techniques, it is essential to understand the basics of color theory.
1. The Color Wheel
The color wheel is a diagram that shows colors arranged according to their relationships. It includes:
Primary Colors: Blue, yellow, and red – these cannot be created by mixing other colors.
Secondary Colors: Green, orange, and purple – formed by combining two primary colors.
Tertiary Colors: Created by mixing a primary color with a secondary color (e.g., red-orange or blue-green).
2. Color Harmony
Harmonious color combinations are essential in graphic design. Common color schemes include:
Complementary Colors: Opposite on the color wheel (e.g., blue and orange) and create strong contrast.
Analogous Colors: Placed side by side (e.g., blue, blue-green, and green), producing a calming effect.
Triadic Colors: Three colors evenly spaced on the wheel (e.g., red, yellow, and blue), offering a rich and balanced look.
Monochromatic Colors: Different shades and tints of a single color, creating a clean and simple appearance.
Easy Tips to Master Color Theory in Graphic Design
Now that you understand the basics, here are practical tips for effectively applying color in your designs.
1. Learn About the Psychology of Colors
Colors influence emotions and perceptions. Here are some examples:
Red: Urgency, energy, and passion – commonly used for sales pages and call-to-action buttons.
Blue: Calmness, professionalism, and trust – frequently used in corporate branding.
Green: Health, growth, and nature – ideal for eco-friendly and wellness-related designs.
Yellow: Warmth, happiness, and optimism – great for grabbing attention.
Purple: Mystery, luxury, and creativity – often used in beauty and fashion branding.
Select colors based on the industry and the message the brand wants to convey.
2. Utilize Contrast for Readability
Proper contrast ensures that text and design elements stand out. To enhance readability:
Use black text on a white background for maximum contrast.
White text on dark backgrounds (like navy or black) creates a sleek, professional look.
Avoid using analogous colors for text and background, as they can be hard to read.
3. Apply the 60-30-10 Rule
A well-balanced color scheme follows the 60-30-10 rule:
60% – Dominant color (background or major elements)
30% – Secondary color (complements the main color)
10% – Accent color (highlights key areas)
This technique is widely used in branding, web design, and UI/UX design.
4. Experiment with Different Color Schemes
If you’re unsure about color combinations, use online tools like:
Adobe Color
Coolors
Canva’s Color Palette Generator
These tools help generate visually appealing color schemes with ease.
5. Test Colors on Different Backgrounds
Colors appear differently depending on the background. Always test your design against both light and dark backgrounds to ensure consistency and readability.
6. Stay Updated with Design Trends
Color trends evolve over time. Stay current by exploring design platforms like:
Behance
Dribbble
Observing professional designers can help you stay inspired and refine your skills.
Why Learning Color Theory is Important for Graphic Designers
Mastering color theory is crucial for creating professional designs, whether you’re working on logos, websites, posters, or branding materials. If you’re serious about becoming a skilled graphic designer, consider enrolling in a structured course to enhance your skills.
If you’re looking for graphic designing classes in Yamuna Vihar or graphic designing training in Uttam Nagar, choose an institute that covers advanced design concepts, including:
Color Theory
Typography
Composition
Many reputed graphic designing training institutes in Yamuna Vihar and graphic designing coaching centers in Uttam Nagar offer hands-on learning with expert guidance.
For those interested in multimedia courses in Yamuna Vihar or multimedia training in Uttam Nagar, learning to apply color across multiple media, such as digital design, video editing, and animation, is essential. Mastering color theory allows you to create visually striking designs that capture the audience’s attention.
Final Thoughts
Color theory is a vital aspect of graphic design that every student must learn to create effective and visually appealing designs. By understanding color psychology, contrast, and harmony, you can elevate your design skills. Keep experimenting, practice regularly, and stay updated with design trends to enhance your expertise.

Which tools every UIUX designer must master?
Gaining proficiency with the appropriate tools can greatly improve your workflow and design quality as a UI/UX designer. The following are some tools that any UI/UX designer has to know how to use:
1. Design Tools:
Figma: One of the most popular and versatile design tools today. It’s web-based, allowing real-time collaboration, and great for designing interfaces, creating prototypes, and sharing feedback.
Sketch: A vector-based design tool that's been the go-to for many UI designers. It's particularly useful for macOS users and has extensive plugins to extend its capabilities.
Adobe XD: Part of Adobe's Creative Cloud, this tool offers robust prototyping features along with design functionalities. It’s ideal for those already using other Adobe products like Photoshop or Illustrator.
2. Prototyping & Wireframing:
InVision: Great for creating interactive prototypes from static designs. It’s widely used for testing design ideas with stakeholders and users before development.
Balsamiq: A simple wireframing tool that helps you quickly sketch out low-fidelity designs. It’s great for initial brainstorming and wireframing ideas.
3. User Research & Testing:
UserTesting: A platform that allows you to get user feedback on your designs quickly by testing with real users.
Lookback: This tool enables live user testing and allows you to watch users interact with your designs, capturing their thoughts and reactions in real time.
Hotjar: Useful for heatmaps and recording user sessions to analyze how people interact with your live website or app.
4. Collaboration & Handoff Tools:
Zeplin: A tool that helps bridge the gap between design and development by providing detailed specs and assets to developers in an easy-to-follow format.
Abstract: A version control system for design files, Abstract is essential for teams working on large projects, helping manage and merge multiple design versions.
5. Illustration & Icon Design:
Adobe Illustrator: The industry standard for creating scalable vector illustrations and icons. If your design requires custom illustrations or complex vector work, mastering Illustrator is a must.
Affinity Designer: An alternative to Illustrator with many of the same capabilities, but with a one-time payment model instead of a subscription.
6. Typography & Color Tools:
FontBase: A robust font management tool that helps designers preview, organize, and activate fonts for their projects.
Coolors: A color scheme generator that helps designers create harmonious color palettes, which can be exported directly into your design software.
7. Project Management & Communication:
Trello: A simple project management tool that helps you organize your tasks, collaborate with team members, and track progress.
Slack: Essential for team communication, Slack integrates with many design tools and streamlines feedback, updates, and discussion.

Digital Marketing Skills to Learn in 2025
Key Digital Marketing Skills to Learn in 2025 to Stay Ahead of Competition The digital marketing landscape in 2025 is rapidly changing, driven by the technological advancements, shifting consumer behavior, and the growing power of artificial intelligence. Competition and career resilience require acquiring expertise in the following digital marketing skills.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
Data is the backbone of modern marketing strategies. The ability to collect, analyze, and make informed decisions based on large sets of data sets great marketers apart. Proficiency in analytical software like Google Analytics and AI-driven tools is critical in measuring campaign performance, optimizing strategies, and making data-driven decisions. Predictive analytics and customer journey mapping are also becoming more critical for trend spotting and personalization of user experience.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
SEO is still a fundamental skill, but the landscape is evolving. The marketer now has to optimize for traditional search engines, voice search, and even social media, as Gen Z increasingly relies on TikTok and YouTube as search tools. Keeping up with algorithm updates, keyword research skills, and technical SEO skills is essential to staying visible and driving organic traffic.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
AI and ML are revolutionizing digital marketing through the power to enable advanced targeting, automation, and personalization. Marketers will need to leverage AI in order to segment audiences, design content, deploy predictive analytics, and build chatbots. Most crucial will be understanding how to balance AI-based automation with human, authentic content.
Content Generation and Storytelling
Content is still king. Marketers must be great at creating great copy, video, and interactive content that is appropriate for various platforms and audiences. Emotionally resonant storytelling and brand affection are more critical than ever, particularly as human-created content trumps AI-created content consistently.
Social Media Strategy and Social Commerce Social media is still the foremost driver of digital engagement. Mastering techniques constructed for specific platforms—such as short-form video, live stream, and influencing with influencers—is critical. How to facilitate direct sales through social commerce, built on combining commerce and social interactions, is an area marketers must master.
Marketing Automation
Efficiency is the most critical in 2025. Marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo and HubSpot) enable marketers to automate repetitive tasks, nurture leads, and personalize customer journeys at scale.
UX/UI Design Principles
A seamless user experience and a pleasing design can either make or destroy online campaigns. Having UX/UI basics in your knowledge and collaborating with design teams ensures that marketing campaigns are both effective and engaging.
Ethical Marketing and Privacy Compliance
With data privacy emerging as a pressing issue, marketers must stay updated on laws like GDPR and CCPA. Ethical marketing and openness foster trust and avoid legal issues.
To lead in 2025, digital marketers will have to fuse technical skills, creativity, and flexibility. By acquiring these high-impact capabilities-data analysis, SEO, AI, content development, social strategy, automation, UX/UI, and ethical marketing-you'll be at the edge of the constantly evolving digital space
