A/n: unlike Em and Ed I won't add Matt to the list. Mainly because I really don't know how to write for him. But I live to please do I'll do one quick one. Also, he's the same age as Gus so this is platonic!

-He insults you as a way to show his friendship.  But not in a genuinely mean way. It's more of calling you an idiot jokingly if you mess up. If you are hurt by it he stops immediately. Respect people's boundaries y'all.

-He is also pretty "Only I can insult them" So if someone (who isn't your friend) joins in on the insults. Bro is mad, while both you and the other person are like  "You were also doing it???"

-He keeps telling you not to go to his house but never expands on it. Once you finally go to his house, it's pretty clear why: Steve. Steve keeps embarrassing him in the way older siblings do. It's pretty funny for everyone but him.

-If you don't know about the whole "drama and power thing." He tries to keep it a secret. Like you do not need to know he almost got Luz and Gus killed.  But once you met Gus it's all over. Gus is telling you what he did while he's just dying from embarrassment in the corner.

-He asks more about the human realm. So he can tell the Human Appreciation Society (assuming he's not still just straight-up lying.) He also does what Gus did and brings you to the club room.)

-Sometimes he'll try to impress you but it always goes horribly wrong. Like if he ever got his hands on a skateboard he'd try to do a kickflip despite never trying it before. "Y/n watch this! I'm going to do a kickflip first try." Then he just falls flat on his face.

-He is such a loser (affectionate.) 

-Also if you were with him during new Hexside days he'd rant to you a lot. Mainly about how much he hates Boscha lmao.

-All and all despite him being annoying he's a pretty great friend.

mattholomule does everything he can to try and impress you and earn your awe — whether that’s performing some taxing physical labour in front of you, acing a new spell, or acting with more authority than he actually has on site, all because he wants you to be proud to be with him

he tries to act all macho and masculine around you and others, to show that he’s able to protect you, but the moment you show him some physical affection he’s like putty in your hands — leaning into your touch, softening his gaze and resting his hand over your own as he looks at you like you hung the stars in the sky

he tends to call you ‘babe’ or ‘sweetheart’ mostly — but when he’s on site he��ll refer to you as ‘the mister/missus/other half’ because that’s a big part of the culture of his workplace

he’s a late riser and a heavy sleeper, as well as a complete cuddling menace in bed, so good luck being able to make any early morning appointments unless he’s got a really early shift (and a really loud alarm system)

he’s big on pda as a way to show you off to others and is very confident with giving (a cheeky smack on the backside, a kiss on the cheek, shoulder rubs, etc.) but the moment you reciprocate he loses the ability to say anything other than a ‘thanks babe’ with a very noticeable voice crack

he’s very flirty and is not shy about expressing how attractive he finds you (dirty jokes, winking, looking you up and down, grabbing you gently to pull you back against him, wolf whistling, etc.) — depending on your boundaries of course — but if you do any of the same to him then he’ll turn bright red and lose the ability to speak (he enjoys it he just still gets shocked that you actually find him attractive as well)

when he has to leave home before you’re due to wake up, he always makes a point to kiss you on the tip of your nose, tell you he loves you and use some magic to make you breakfast for when you finally decide to get up — very romantic despite how often he claims to not be into all of that ‘sappy stuff’

he keeps every letter and gift you’ve ever given him — including the notes you used to pass back and forth when you were hexside students once-upon-a-when — in a well kept box in his wardrobe, every now and then when he’s feeling sentimental he’ll take a trip down memory lane, but he’ll never mention it to you (not intentionally, anyway, he’s terrible at keeping secrets from you)

even after nearly a decade of growth, his beard is incredibly scratchy and patchy and he’ll get all huffy and pouty if you mention it — often pointing to his moustache to prove that he can grow facial hair, ‘it just needs more time!’

Mattholomule is such a sweet boyfriend I cannot, like idc. Even back when he was introduced he’d be a sweet boyfriend and he is so understanding. If you ever lied or didn’t anything bad, he would still be so understanding especially if you had good intentions or didn’t mean any harm. Like dude, y’all are lumity 2.0 I take no criticism and he’s the amity. (He even has an annoying older sibling.. who he adores). He is often extremely red in the face because of you, and he totally thinks you’re super cool when you’re fighting and being all badass lol. He is just in awe of you all the time, and if you’re in a different coven track than he is he would probably start taking that track just to be around you lol. He’s not overly physically affectionate, he likes holding your hand and that’s the most pda he really needs (but certainly won’t mind if you give him a bit more). He’s forgiving, too forgiving. It can open him up to have a toxic relationship because of it. (I mean, just look at how he was treated by the glandus kids). He tries to be patient, and whilst he’s a brat to others he would be such a sweetheart around you. He would be his best self when you’re around. He could be the biggest jerk in the universe but the moment you show up he’s all nice. He can’t help it, he’s got a soft spot for you. He is also genuinely a nerd with you, like when you say yes to a date he gets all excited and does a fist pump in the air when he thinks you’re not looking. Overall he’s super sweet, love him.

Can I request an Owl House Mattholomule x reader where the reader kinda teases him jokingly but then Boscha starts picking on him for real so the reader stands up for him? For some reason I love that little bastard.

"Mattholomuleeee- when are you going to be done with that?" You asked, already tired of waiting.

   "Do you want to do this on your own?" He said.

  "You wouldnt make me do all the work as your only friend."

  "Why wouldn't I-?"

  "It's not like you have anything else to do." Said Boscha. "You don't even a have a social life out of school."

  "Aye, He sure has plenty of a social life because he isnt constantly rude unlike someone I know." You said earning a glare from Boscha before she huffed and left.

  "Thank you." Said Mattholomule, with a blush and you started to laugh nervously.

"No problem. I only tease you not actually make fun of you. Do actually tell me if I take things to far, you are my friend." You said with a sweet smile. "Now finish your part of the project so we can go get some fooddd."

I may b wrong abt the last thing u rq I’m half asleep so whoops

“Reader is ghosting [character] because their guardian believes their friends r not good for them and they want their guardians approval and love but the guardian still doesn’t provide that love even after everything reader does for them so they end up seeing [character] again” basically was the rq .

You may find boscha isn’t the most forgiving when you ghost her, given her personality it’s inevitable you will at some point. Or that’s what’s she thinks. She’s pretty mad at you, when you tell her what’s going on though she decides to give you a bit of a break since you do have a reason (and it’s a pretty good one). But she’s pretty blunt and tells you that your guardian wouldn’t have loved you regardless.

Matt doesn’t hold it against you too much, but he is very upset by you ghosting him and he will approach you anytime he finds you in public or at school and he will absolutely be the type to yell at you and run at you. It’s kinda embarrassing since it’s usually something like “hey!!! Y/n!! Why haven’t you returned my calls?!” but he will be understanding in the end, just wishes you told him upfront.

Willow is pretty upset by it, she isn’t sure how to approach the situation at first. In the end, she ends up blaming herself. It all goes back to when she was young and why amity had to leave her too and she just feels like she’s reliving it all over again. She will forgive you for ghosting her and given the circumstances she’s understanding but she needs some time to recover from that and needs reassurance you’ll be more honest with her next time.

Okay but imagine it's the end of toh and everyone is reuniting, and Mattholomule reunites with Steve, but bonus, Steve's longterm partner is also there, and it's a wonderful reunion of "i can't believe you're here" "of course I'm here, I was worried sick about you, I love you just like you're my own sibling" it lives in my mind absolutely rent free these days

Steve would think this moment between you and his little bro is rlly sweet, super adorable (he would be correct). I hc they don’t have the best parents or they don’t have any at all (not sure if Dana explained their situation or not .. but I imagine the parents aren’t in their life anymore) so they only really had eachother as family. Mattholomule would just be so happy that you consider him family, it’s just a really happy and touching moment lol.

Might be annoyed when you’re being overly sarcastic with him so he fights with you (in the fun comedic way of course and it’s never serious). And when it comes to your humor would probably have similar humor to you so the two of you get along real well and like to pull .. pranks on other kids cuz u saw it on the demon realm equivalent to tiktok.
