Com o dia da estreia cada dia mais proximo, a DC Comics liberou um novo teaser de Batman: Caped Crusader, onde podemos ver um pouco da ação que teremos na série. A nova animação promete ser bem diferente de outras do personagem.

A produção será ambientada nos anos 1940, mostrando o herói como “um vingador frio e implacável contra as forças do mal, aparentemente mais máquina do que homem".

O elenco conta com Hamish Linklater, McKenna Grace, Toby Stephens, Reid Scott, Dan Donohue, Gary Anthony Williams, Jason Watkins, John DiMaggio, Krystal Joy Brown, Michelle C. Bonilla, Eric Morgan Stuart, Tom Kenny, Minnie Driver, Diedrich Bader, Jamie Chung, Christina Ricci, entre outros. A série é produzida por Bruce Timm, Matt Reeves e JJ Abrams.

The delay of #TheBatman: Part II to October 1, 2027, has disheartened fans of #MattReeves' #Gotham universe, creating a five-year gap since the first film.

In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Reeves stated that the script was nearly finished and production would begin in 2025. However, James Gunn recently said the delay is due to an unfinished script. This has raised concerns among #Battinson fans, who fear Gunn may soft-cancel The Batman: Part II to focus on his #DCU's The Brave and the Bold. With Gunn seemingly wanting his Batman to be the sole Caped Crusader, many worry this could mean the end for Reeves' darker franchise.

As Gunn's 2025 Superman film moves closer, there are increasing worries that Reeves' universe might be sidelined for a lighter, merchandise-friendly DCU vision.
