I know you think having a gf thing is a joke and honestly I don't think it's a problem when bl actors have gfs or bfs, but they do get massive hate for that for real. do you know that new got so much hate for having a girlfriend? he still gets hate comments from toxic shippers that he should die for heart failure because he got heart problem? and that account that was hating on dunk was really pushing for hate. so of course it was the problem. the number one reason bl/gl actors get massive hate and death threats is literally having a gf/bf. it's a sad reality but i don't think you should treat it lightly.
I don't think this situation is a joke.
It -is- a joke.
And to show you how serious I am about this, I'm not even going to include images. This is just a giant wall of text.
Because outside of the BL-sphere, what are the repercussions of Dunk really dating a girl? What issues would he face if he was really straight? I'm going to skip over bisexuality because Lord knows half these fans don't even register that as a thing. So what harm would come his way if he was an actual heterosexual man?
Nothing. None. Nada.
If he was dating a girl, it would hurt his branded pair, but he could pivot. He could still work in other roles outside of the pair which he has done because being straight or being perceived straight isn't an issue. He would still have a job. He could even do something else outside of the industry. He'd be fine.
Because the issue isn't Dunk having a girlfriend. The issue is him stepping out on his branded pair because people are real weird about monogamy, especially when it comes to two boys because queerness actual queer people are scary to them.
So since you wanted to start with Tay and New, let me remind you that New get threats for having a girlfriend, but when Gun and Tay kissed during New's live, people went out of their way to call Gun, who is perceived as the more effeminate one, a straight up fag in the comments of his posts. Tay also got so much hate that he made a video and people's biggest issue was how could he go from such a masculine guy like New to such a twink like Gun who has never stated his sexuality. Because the issue wasn't Tay 'cheating' on his partner (with the partner literally being right next to him), but was the possibility of Tay kissing an actual gay guy.
Milk of MilkLove was rumored to be dating Noeul of BossNoeul and both of them received online hate at the mere thought they were breaking up their ships, but Noeul has received far more online and in-person hate once he started dressing and presenting a bit more effeminate than previously.
Freen of BeckyFreen was dating Seng formerly of BillySeng. The hate was ridiculous and it has followed Seng even after he departed from Idol Factory, which can easily be seen in the comment section of his posts. I genuinely feel bad for the boy, yet he still is working.
So you know who I do feel bad for all of the time? Publicly out queer folks in this industry!
Max of MaxTul dates women. People knew that and hated it because he was 'cheating' on Tul. But he still had work, and he still has work now. Because being straight does not harm people. Online hate is real. Cyberbullying is real. But Max could pivot if he wanted to like Nanon, Bright, and Win. But you know who never said he was dating anyone? The actual gay guy, Tul! And who retired from acting before he announced he was dating a man? Tul.
Cooheart has gone on record stating that being an openly gay man in the BL industry has severely limited his options. He will not be able to play a straight character because people know he is gay, so the online harassment he receives isn't because of not being faithful to a branded pair, but because he is actually gay, and that harassment has translated into him getting less jobs. He cannot pivot. He is essentially stuck.
When Supanut was hanging out with Sailub, he received more online and in-person harassment because he is the openly queer man. Sailub received comments that he was disrespecting Pon per the usual, but Supanut received comments that were directed not at him just trying to break up a ship, but about him being queer. People were equivocating him to being basically a gay hussy, who just wanted to wreck all the ships, which makes me very interested in what fan interactions will look like once I'm the Most Beautiful Count airs.
Daou gets lots of comments about disrespecting Offroad by hanging out with other guys, but the comments that really upset him were the ones saying HE WAS DISGUSTING FOR POSSIBLY BOTTOMING! Offroad stays quiet mostly, but he was bothered by people saying he was BULKING UP TOO MUCH AS A QUEER MAN!
I'm not even touching Mew and Gulf, but only one of them was labeled a predator and it wasn't the straight one!
So just because some of y'all want to take Joong liking a post about Dunk having a girlfriend seriously does not mean I need to. The online harassment is disgusting because people have parasocial relationships with actors who are simply doing their jobs, but I am not going to sit here on Tumblr dot com slash Respect the Petty and entertain this made up drama that stemmed from Joong liking a post about Dunk being perceived as a straight guy when openly gay people are being significantly more harassed, targeted, and limited for being gay in an industry that profits off of gayness.
Take all this energy you have for me and meet me in the My Sweetheart Jom chat on Friday, so every time someone mentions how Saint isn't believable in his role because he is a 'bottom,' you can give them the same lecture you want to give me about the seriousness of online harassment and its real-world repercussions.
Kay? Okay!
#it has to be a joke#because this only has consequences in a small space#being straight is not a threat#calling someone straight is not hate#it's manufactured bs#but being openly gay and getting harassed for it is serious#so I'm picking my battles#and being upset over joong x dunk divorce era 2.0 ain't it#toxic fandom

MaxTul and their BL's were way ahead of time.
Starting with Korn and Knock calling each other 'husband' and 'husband' in Together with me instead of the now commonly used terms 'wife' and 'husband' in BLs.
Manner of death being the pioneer for a different genre in BLs in a time when only student themed BLs were in the spotlight.

Tul using his platform as a BL actor to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights which should be normal but guess what there are not a lot of BL actors speaking about these issues.
Not playing into the stereotype of the typical uke and seme characteristics (which I know exists in real life too but representation of the other side of the spectrum matters equally). Not everyone fits in the same box. Also their pride photos are 😍❤️ (This is also something that somehow I have not seen a lot of BL actors doing inspite of playing characters of a genre that talks about queer love stories.)

Tul supporting Max through his relationship reveal and standing by his side through everything and Max refusing to say that what he and Tul shared was fan service or fake. Even at the risk of losing fans these two remained honest to each other and their fans.
youtube
Honestly this whole interview was eye opening on many levels. This proves another one of my points that two BL actors may share a good equation and comfort level and it is not necessarily fan service. Being of the same gender and sharing the experience of acting together definitely helps in forming an organic relationship.
People just need to stop overanalyzing and over interpreting certain actions to make it seem like a relationship.
In conclusion according to me, Max and Tul paved the way.

BL ships that I will never forget:
In a few weeks it's gonna be 14 years of obsessing over queer media, especially BL, so here are the ships always on my mind in no particular order.
Arata & Shingyouji (Takumi-kun Series 4: Pure, 2010): Listen the Takumi-kun Series from 2007 to like 2011 was my life as a (pre-)teen. In hindsight really sketchy but anyway haha. Those two really caught my eye back then though (especially their racy kisses) and I was happy they got their own bigger part in one of the movies.
Evan & Isak (Skam Season 3, 2016): Was there a queer European teen that wasn't obsessed with this season of Skam? I remember re-watching it so many times I could recite their text without speaking Norwegian. Plenty of beautiful Skam universe parallel couples out there but these two will remain the iconic blueprint.
ChenAi (Kiseki: Dear to me, 2023): Almost unfair to put them on here but seeing how I haven't been able to think about any other ship every single day for the last 3 months, I feel like it's justified. They just have everything I want and need to get hyperfixated on.
Seiryo & Yuzuru (Seven Days, 2015): Oh my, the way I loved this silly concept and how funny it was yet they managed to get me all emotionally involved in the span of two movies? Insane chemistry and just..everything I needed back then. Especially since it was then one of the very few BL's I saw without a sad ending.
KornKnock (Bad Romance 2016, Together With Me 2017 - 2018): Listen, plot wise Manner of Death is the absolute height to me but when it comes to MaxTul I will never forget them as Korn and Knock in these series. Forever grateful to all the fanvids that led me to finding my BL fathers. Chemistry forever out of this world. Also shout out to Yiwha, best female character in any BL and my wife.
WinTeam (Until We Meet Again 2019, Between Us 2023): The couple that made me aware of what second lead syndrome was because I waited so long for more of them, it felt eternal. I don't think I will ever get tired of these two.
VegasPete (KinnPorsche, 2022): Who said I couldn't like a toxic ship? These two took me by surprise, I didnt even know they were going to be a ship in the series. Definitely acknowledging how fucked up they are yet at the same time it's the forst toxic ship that really got me. I love them, in my own weird way.
HaoGu (HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count, 2019): I mourned them like I have mourned no other couple. I should have known from the title but they really lead me astray. My beautiful boys, the star crossed lovers. They still get me emotional now, I might go cry now.
Hira & Kiyoi (Utsukushii Kare, 2021 - 2023): Before ChenAi there were Hira and Kiyoi who absolutely owned my heart. I love how misunderstood by BL fans they were who claimed their toxicity. Meanwhile I simply love how weird their relationship is and getting to see a real Tsundere in action. I'm obsessed with them.
Honourable Mention: Kim Jae Wook as Min Sun Woo in Antique Bakery, 2008. The very first gay character I saw in Korean media. Forever iconic, forever in my heart.

Oh my god!! Your analysis is so good and spot on. Just like the previous anon, I also don’t really have a favorite CP these days. I used to be an OffGun truther, but their last two series disappointed me, and I kind of drifted away from shipping. Now I just wait for good stories instead (Japanese BLs are my thing lately).
That said, I really want to ask you about some other GMMTV couples. Do you think anyone at GMMTV is actually dating? I don’t know why, but I’m 99% sure EarthMix are together—I'm even more certain about them than ZeeNuNew, who literally said they are. (I only watched Atots and I tried their latest series, but it didn’t click with me.)
Also, GMMTV couples definitely follow a regular fanservice routine. There’s a pattern there, I think. And I’m 100% sure JD(this is so clear also maybe joong had something with est not sure , maybe I just fall for the conspiracy theories) and PP are just good friends who do fs, but their fans would kill me in the spot if I said that out loud.
As for FirstKhao and AouBoom, they kind of give off that vibe where there’s something going on, but they’re not actually dating. I don’t follow FK much, but every time I see content about them, it just feels like First has a huge crush on Khao. Also, they’re one of the few CPs I’ve seen actually spend time together off-cam without posting it all on social media.
Don’t mind me if you found this ask weird but I’m just really glad to finally find someone who talks about BL CPs like they’re actual humans doing their jobs, and not some destined-to-be-together 24/7 soulmates sent from heaven.
Hello anon and thank you for the ask! It's not weird at all; I love reading about other people's takes and opinions on this wild genre we all tune in to 😊 keep 'em coming 🥰
And love that you're watching the JBLs. The Japanese BL industry is so unique and wonderful in its own right, my only complaint is that their shows are quite short 😅 But their cinema is just a masterclass in symbolism, pacing and cinematography. Love me a good JBL.
Anyway I'm just beating around the bush because I'm deciding on how to answer the main ask, but here we go:
Honestly my friend, I don't think I'm the best person to definitively say which BL branded pairs are actually dating in real life. Not because I'm acting all holier-than-thou (I speculate too just like the rest of us), but because my track record for predicting IRL couples is SHIT.
If you were an OffGun truther, oh my friend, I was a MewGulf AND a MaxTul truther 🤣🤣🤣 Look at how DISASTROUS the past five years has been for my fan career. 😄 And in such a specific way too, because waddayamean Mew and Tul ended up together? I would've accepted any other outside iceberg to sink my ships, but for them to collide headfirst into each other and set fire to the entire industry? I had to change soc med accounts twice! 🤣🤣🤣This is my honest track record friend, so take everything I say moving forward with a boatload of salt.
Not just for GMMTV, but of all BL cps I've encountered so far, I only 100% believe that one of them is an IRL couple, and that's DaouOffroad. Only (and only) because these two are so adamant in defending their relationship, and absolutely hate when fans speculate about them.
Speculation is a key ingredient of fanservice, as the more people talk about your IRL status, the more hype for shows and promotions a branded pair gets. Companies have learned to weaponize this by requiring their pairs to hang out outside of work in extremely public places, and get photographed by as many of their fans as possible (👀 side-eyes Mandee and MMY's Songkran activities).
Daou especially hates it when people speculate about him and Offroad, as he's said multiple times verbatim that they are together, and would like fans to take that as explanation enough to stop probing into their lovelife (a bad choice for their popularity honestly). He and Offroad have been known to ask fans to stop posting candid pictures and videos of them on social media, going so far as to threaten to sue a fan who posted a video of them holding hands and kissing when Daou attended his university's alumni concert (which wasn't open to the general public).
Candid (or staged-candid) photos and videos fuel speculation and fanservice. These sell very big bucks actually. To have those taken down, despite it directly translating to a loss in sales and popularity-- this action can only be driven by a force as strong as love. I'd tell Daou and Offroad to get out of the BL industry entirely if they wanted to protect their relationship, but they are artists first, and artists are paid for the harsh experience of entertaining others.
(I will not speculate on ZeeNunew with a ten-foot pole because I live in FEAR of their very large fandom with often angry X fans. If they say they're dating, then I believe them until proven otherwise).
That said, do I believe any of the GMMTV couples are dating? Sadly no, my friend, even EarthMix. I WANT to be proven wrong, and I would be more than happy to find out down the line that mr.-so-and-so are actually dating. But I believe none of them are dating IRL because of the premise DaouOffroad has already presented-- that an IRL couple would value their privacy more than the actual money and popularity that a speculated ship brings in. Granted, EarthMix might be THE closest to an IRL couple I can find in the current GMM roster, just because they post about their private activities very coyly ("coincidental" shots of the same landscape, or ig photos where one of them is partially hidden but still recognizable). But if there's one thing I've learned about the MewGulf fiasco of 2021, is that there's nothing coincidental or coy on social media. GMMTV, like any other conglomerate, has a marketing and social media team tasked to carefully curate their artists' posts, and these mystery photos and shy interview answers are tactics to still generate hype for an older couple, especially one that doesn't like to constantly engage with their fandom as much as other branded pairs. Moreover, GMMTV has outright admitted that they "encourage" their couples to spend time outside of work in order to build rapport, and often book joint hotel rooms and quarters for their branded pairs during filming in order to establish chemistry (as documented multiple times across their variety programs). Spending time outside of the company isn't proof of authentic relationships anymore, sadly.
(Again I would like to be proven wrong).
Don't think that I'm too jaded though, my friend. I do believe that though many BL actors are heterosexual (and hopefully allies of the cause), a great portion of the current BL actor roster are actually LGBTQ+ members. And I love that on this factoid, I am constantly being proven right (as with the case of Noeul and some KinnPorsche cast members coming out as bisexual).
That means, do I believe some GMM actors have a crush (even just a platonic, happy crush) on their partners? OH ABSOLUTELY, and that's where the fun is 😅 First does have a crush on Khao, he said it himself! He said he was in awe of Khao's acting, and once he got to know him, his personality. We've all been to grade school, isn't awe the first marker of a crush? 🤣
Aou and Boom have that fun, relaxed dynamic I first saw in Tay and New (before THEY got jilted by the industry they pioneered, woah boy isn't that a post for another day), and I think Aou totally admires his bestie Boom, and Boom looks up to Aou as a mentor. Est loves William's singing, and looks totally fond when William's on stage. William, has a thing for Est's random shows of strength. Pond and Phuwin like each others' faces 😅 (they said it themselves, dont @ me!), and finding someone handsome is peak crush behavior.
Isn't this fun? Even actors enjoy these light teasings during their fanmeets and stage shows. If only fandom speculation stays this light. Sadly we had to bring the bitchfighting and queerbaiting into this 🤣🤣🤣
All I'm saying, is that you're right my friend, shipping can be quite fun for both artists and their audience (I am currently finding BossNoeul fs HILARIOUS without the delulu stans ruining the fun), and who are we to deprive ourselves of the fun? But in terms ot the IRL couple status, I just think none of them pass my newly reinforced litmus test. PROVE ME WRONG GMM *laughs maniacally*
Also super sorry this got long! Hope it was worth its stupid length.

Tag: Old QL Game
Rules: Think about the oldest BLs you've ever watched. They have to have been released prior to 2020. Now name 5 - 10 iconic scenes that you cannot forget.
Tagged by @watchthisqqq and @my-rose-tinted-glasses. Thanks for the tag!
Ok...older QL, presumably from an Asian country of origin. Let me get that order right up. Probably going to need to go look up some dates.
Note: This GIF is here because I fully believe Coffee Prince counts, but I know that may not be true from everyone's perspective.
THREE WEEKS LATER
Ok. I give up. I am terrible at ranking things and choosing favorites. And many of the older QL I watched I don't really want to list here even if there was a scene I couldn't forget, because I might wish I could forget them.
Because no matter how funny a line is...
Is it worth the pain and misery that follows? I don't know (Antique - 2008).
So in the end, we're back at the first five shows I thought of when I got tagged. There were plenty of others burned in my brain, but I decided that's just the best way for me to play this one.
Together With Me (2017)
I typically say that I watched my first "official" BLs in 2017 with the I Hear the Sunspot movie and Together With Me.
Maybe because it was my first Thai BL, but there are several scenes from this show embedded in my brain and MaxTul will always be a special pairing for me.
But if I'm choosing one scene -> it's the one where Korn basically breaks.
And Knock can't help but respond to the pain his man is experiencing.
With a fantastically spicy scene to follow.
Love by Chance (2018)
This is another one that I could choose a crap ton of scenes from. Locker room kabedon? Conversation in the car? The one on the field? Where Pete had prepared but Ae missed the cues? But in the end, I choose the scene where Pete visits Ae's dorm room.
It's legitimately messy.
The interaction between Pond and Ae feels like a real roommate interaction.
And the tension is there in all of the best ways.
TharnType (2019)
This is a show that I enjoyed a lot at the time, but that I don't really enjoy much now.
Type offering to have sex with Tharn over breakfast and the NC scenes win on the first scenes I remember. But eventually I'll come around to remembering the other moments.
And this scene with the chaotic eavesdroppers I still fully enjoy.
The little shove into the door by this dynamic duo registers in my brain, because I really wondered at the time if the door hit was accidental. Following that up with a marriage reference given how the series progresses still makes me smile.
Until We Meet Again (2019)
I love this show for all kinds of reasons. I'll be honest and say that I often skip the scenes from the past if I rewatch though. And I'm much more likely to rewatch specific scenes rather the entire thing. That's true for pretty much every show that's more than three hours in length. In general, I enjoy the dialogue and interplay between Win/Team more than Dean/Pharm as I love a brat tamer. But in terms of scenes, Dean/Pharm's scenes are the ones that burned in my brain.
If I'm choosing one scene -> it's the feeding scene by the pool. Food symbolism, innuendo, and...
A WHOLE lot of D/s subtext. That's a perfect trifecta for me.
HIStory 3: Trapped (2019)
The HIStory series is an inconsistent mess, and I love almost all of them. Even our problematic stepbrothers in HIStory 4. But this is by far my favorite entry, and I love the side couple and main couple equally which is a rarity. So many fantastic scenes in this show. It also just had fantastic dialogue.
For today -> I'll go here.
It just makes me laugh and smile followed by a well then.
Tagging: No one since it took me 300 years to finish this one up. But feel free to play if you want! Consider yourself tagged 💖.
#old ql game#tag game#i definitely overthought this one#but it was a whole lot of fun in the process#looking back through these#brought back so many good memories#history 3: trapped#love by chance#tharntype#uwma#until we meet again#deanpharm#together with me#kornknock

10 (or So) BL Boys I Want Carnally (Plus a Couple of Girls Too)
I was tagged by @neuroticbookworm at this post here and @waitmyturtles at this post here. Thank you dearies! 🥰
Now here's the thing before I get on with the post: after a certain time I think sexual attraction is a phenomenon more intellectual than physical.
So the beautiful people I'm listing below are ones whom I think fit the list in my head as examples of those genetically blessed with sexual desirability. But it's not as though I'm really feeling a carnal stirring in the loins for them. No fantasied jumping of bones (or boners) here; I would probably run a mile in the opposite direction if any of them actually presented themselves naked and available to me, you get my drift?
Still, since the malls are open I do like to look (even if it's only window shopping through binoculars 🤣). So, in no particular order, with tongue firmly in cheek and more admiration in my head (for the obvious hard work at the gym) than lust in my heart (or anywhere else) – here goes: 😍
1. Nonkul Chanon
youtube
I know Nong Non looked like a little ball of Koreanesque sunshine in I Feel You Linger in the Air (really channeling 2PM's Wooyoung for me), but Mistah Santinatornkul used to be beefier and apparently lost weight to look all sweet and wispy for the role of Jom in IFYLITA.
Dunno bout you, but I miss the beef. (And if you do too, I urge you to click on the YouTube link above. 😁) Also, Nonkul had four lead roles in 2023; I think his star is on the ascendant, so keep an eye out for this one (he seems to have an international presence that most other Thai stars don't, though it beams eastwards). 🤩
2. Ohm Pawat
I prefer him hunkier and chunkier like he was during his Bad Buddy Pat Napat days (he's too shredded and gangly beanstalk now for me) but I've actually met Ohm in real life and (I've said this before) his smile is supernova dazzling. Like everything else in the room simply fades to a blank whiteness. (Or maybe it was just me feeling faint. 🤣) Supremely photogenic (I don't think he has any bad angles), this boy definitely has the X factor and after Bad Buddy I will always be a diehard fan.
3. MaxTul
The original kings of BL who never shied away and just went for it when it counted. I rue the loss of Tul to business or real estate or whatever it is he's focusing on now, but this coupling will always be legendary so I'm putting them together as one on my list.
4. Gap Jakarin
You may be noticing a trend here, but I do like a bit of meat with my two veg. 😜🍆🥩🥬🍴🤣 Anyway I'm all goo-goo eyed at lovable himbo Yai in The Sign, especially when we see how smitten he is with his beautiful girlfriend Sand (who's canon transgender in the show, as Yoshi Rinrada is in real life too 💖). And that's carried over to my appreciation of Gap Jakarin in all his meaty meathead glory offscreen as well.
Plus when he was in the bulking phase (or maybe it was for a role?) Gap was also carrying a fair bit of baby fat in the following photo on his Instagram, and somehow that just makes him even more teddybeardorable in my eyes: 🧸😍
5. Neo Trai
Always the boy you remember in roles you'd rather forget. I've liked his look (neck up) for a long time now; in his current gym bunny phase the rest of Neo is looking more buff by the day and I approve, aesthetically speaking. More to love. 😘
6. Force Jiratchapong
youtube
Nice to look at. Only just about makes up for his roles and acting though. I'm not hurrying to watch anything he's in, unless it's for a photoshoot like the one in the YouTube video above. 😮
7. Pavel Naret
It appears he's had a little surgical tweaking recently, but the doctors did a fine job and Pavel is always looking like he's some sort of walking sex buffet, dishing out sass and overflowing sex appeal at every turn. Still not enough to make me wanna watch Pit Babe though. 🤣
8. KaowOat Supasin
Apologies for the fuzziness of this screencap but I can almost feel non-existent ovaries swelling within me when I look at KaowOat's pensive buttcrack and delicately-placed fingers here. Almost makes me want to watch Playboyy The Series. Almost.
9. Net Siraphop
I'm also on board with everybody's carnal favorite Net, even though I've not watched a single thing he's been in (Uea's kitty ears in Bed Friend did a good job warding me off, like garlic and crucifixes to a vampire so well done James Van Helsing). Nonetheless all the screenshots and GIFs were more than enough to leave me a little breathless at Net's honey-toned beauty. Those eyes telling of mysterious depths! That handsome jawline! That teasing glimpse of buttcheek with no tanline! When upon a time will we finally get Love Upon a Time? I'll be watching, if James can keep his furry ears out of frame.
10. Kao Noppakao
Oh he of the excellent cheekbones and Cupid's Bow lips! Always looking so icy and unavailable, yet Kao utterly charmed his way into my heart in Lovely Writer (and then shattered it within the first few minutes of Until We Meet Again). Like Ohm he literally cannot take a bad photo; it's all Blue Steel and high fashion with this one.
BONUS 1 (because I am no respecter of limits):
Great Sapol is on here because he filled out his tight policeman's uniform so well in Manner of Death (and has me vibrating with pins and needles waiting for Wandee Goodday). And Taylor Zakhar Perez just because he was such a menace in Red, White & Royal Blue (that full frontal above is from Minx though). 😜 Plus TZP's name always gives me the giggles because zakar in a number of countries quite literally means what that eggplant is hiding. 🤣
BONUS 2 (because these girls have made me feel something):
Zorzo Nathanan (formerly Zorzo Natharuetai)
Ever since she roared up and flicked those lovely long locks (and legs) on her motorcycle in Lovely Writer, I've been going weak at the knees for the ravishing confection that is Zorzo. Supposedly queer in real life too; just adds to the appeal. 🤩
Namtan Tipnaree
Absolutely radiant and glowing in Last Twilight even though makeup and wardrobe have Namtan totally frumped out for the character of Porjai. Am I the only one who doesn't really want Mew and Tul to have a series together? I mean, I know Tul is done acting so the whole thing is kind of moot, but even if he wasn't, I wouldn't want it. It would honestly feel kind of weird to me to watch two people who I know are in an actual relationship pretend to be different people with a different dynamic. More than that, I feel like a lot of people--who already have a hard time understanding that actors aren't who their characters are, and the relationship they have with their costar isn't the relationship they have on screen--might just assume that the series is based on their real lives and real personalities and is what their relationship is really like. Mew and Tul already have to deal with toxicity from Mewgulf and Maxtul fans who can't handle the fact that Mew and Tul are together. I feel like having to deal with fans picking apart their relationship even more would be very stressful for them both.
Idk, I just want them to be happy.

Turtles Catches Up With Old GMMTV: Manner of Death, and What is a BL Edition
[What’s going on here? After joining Tumblr and discovering Thai BLs through KinnPorsche in 2022, I began watching GMMTV’s new offerings -- and realized that I had a lot of history to catch up on, to appreciate the more recent works that I was delving into. From tropes to BL frameworks, what we’re watching now hails from somewhere, and I’m learning about Thai BL's history through what I’m calling the Old GMMTV Challenge (OGMMTVC). Starting with recommendations from @absolutebl on their post regarding how GMMTV is correcting for its mistakes with its shows today, I’ve made an expansive list to get me through a condensed history of essential/classic/significant Thai BLs produced by GMMTV and many other BL studios. My watchlist, pasted below, lists what I’ve watched and what’s upcoming, along with the reviews I’ve written so far. Today, I cover Manner of Death, a MaxTul crime show that leads us to wonder if we can call it a true BL.]
FINALLY! Yeeeeeeah! I’ve waited a while to get this one out, and I’m so excited to finally drop this review: this is going to be a fun one. Let’s pour one out for the retired homey, Tul Pakorn, as I dive into Manner of Death! (MaxTul after a weekend of PerthChimon and FirstKhao, huh? GIMME!)
So, first things first: I cannot remember who exactly recommended Manner of Death for inclusion on the OGMMTVC watchlist. I APOLOGIZE. I am going to GUESS that it was a combo of @manogirl and @miscellar (and if I’m wrong, friends, please forgive me, and whoever really suggested it, give yourselves flowers in the comments so I can give you a high-five!). In any case, though, as I’ve mentioned previously, @manogirl gets the OGMMTVC Trophy for Hyping a Homey To One of the Best Ships Ever, for real -- MG, your repping on MaxTul has paid DIVIDENDS in my life, DIVIDENDS! I LOVE MAXTUL. I love them, your honors! And they are important, historically, for reasons illuminated below.
Okay, ha, with that out of the way, Manner of Death as a show gets included on the OGMMTVC list because, as was discussed in the comments of my review of Together With Me, MoD may or may not be a BL by way of the “rules” of the genre. The majority commentary on MoD established that MoD was a show that had BL elements in a crime genre-based show that served as an influence for future genre shows in Not Me and KinnPorsche.
Now, I will note, during my MoD liveblogging, that @true-unicorn-queen came thru to say -- actually, it IS a BL (thank you, TUQ, for jumping in the comments!). I am really going to enjoy digging into this, and I think there are some good examples that serve as evidence on both sides of the argument. A little outline to help us out, maestro:
1) The frame of this piece is going to center on whether we call MoD a “genre” show of another kind that’s not TECHNICALLY a BL (like a crime story, or a workplace drama), vs. whether we call it a BL because there were quite a few BL tropes in it, and I’ll also talk about 2) Why I think this argument works by way of who worked on this show (and who may have influenced this show), 3) The general excellence of the acting of this show (...okay, we’ll gently poke Tul a bit, ha), and 4) Touching a bit on the conversation of whether or not MoD impacted future genre shows,
along with some other floating bits about MoD and its wild ending, ha.
Off the bat, I think this show worked because it played with successful elements of BOTH the crime genre AND the BL genre. It was like, fusion television. The actual twists and turns of the mystery (I will try to not give away too much if you haven’t seen it yet!) were FABULOUSLY done, and I love suspecting everyone during stories like this. Hell, I was suspecting Oat, for heaven’s sake!
So regarding the is-it-a-BL-or-not conversation: I’m not a person who dabbles in binaries and hardcore definitions. I really think art is best when it is dynamic and NOT definitively binary -- when art is influenced by many things, by many elements, by many tentacles. (You’ll notice that this is why I LOVE this OGMMTVC project.) I really felt that I enjoyed MoD, purely as a fan, in part because this show used the best elements of the crime and BL genres to construct a story that was exciting, that was SMART, that was driven and crisp -- and most importantly, that was not DRAGGED or HELD BACK by EXPECTATIONS of EITHER genre.
I myself would not call MoD a BL, in part because I don’t want to set up expectations that it needed to MEET certain elements of the genre in order to CALL IT a BL. BUT -- to @true-unicorn-queen‘s point -- maybe I GET to call it a BL, because it used BL tropes so well? I’m not going to quibble in this too much (and honestly, if folks have thoughts on this, jump into the comments, because I think the conversation around this will automatically be fascinating and interesting).
I want to also add that MoD shares many elements with another well-known crime show that is also not a BL, but arguably BL-adjacent -- Jojo Tichakorn’s 3 Will Be Free. 3 Will Be Free is ABSOLUTELY NOT a BL. But what 3WBF established -- on GMMTV! -- was a show that was not CENTERED in queerness or a queer romance story. It was, instead, INCLUSIVE of queerness as a GIVEN of the environment and community in which the show was set. I thought this was groundbreaking for the GMMTV network.
Like I wrote recently about YYY, and akin to 3WBF, Manner of Death, very importantly in its writing, did not hew to a NEED to CENTER the burgeoning queer romance between Bun and Tan -- which I think many would argue is a necessary element of a BL. Their relationship was an important ELEMENT to the show, but it wasn’t a CENTER of the show -- until the end, when we got a bunch of fan service flowers..... and fuckin’ gun whips with a proposal, but let’s leave that alone for another sec, HA.
I really liked YYY for its macro-level commentary about what BL creators and performers face, by way of pressure, of NEEDING to include and/or CENTER a relationship in a BL. The character of Porpla served as a symbol of that internal and external pressure on BL shows to be ABOUT the romance.
Manner of Death just... didn’t deal with that. The center of the story was: who killed Jane? That was it. It was a murder mystery, first and foremost, with two dudes falling in love as a side story.
I’m shaking my head in wonder at this, because Manner of Death did the love side story much differently than 3WBF, all while paying homage and respect to the inclusion of queerness within the show itself. How did the show do it?
As y’all know from my MoD liveblogging, I totally marveled at how WELL this show included some important BL tropes. We had tender gay uncles AND a side couple IN THE SAME SCENE! ThatSorn were a NATURAL side couple, great chemistry, GREAT comedy, and BunTan totally knew what was up with them. Utterly cute! And I cackled at some other tropes, including BunTan choosing to MAKE OUT instead of checking the LAPTOP THEY STOLE from BUSTING A CAR WINDOW, lol.
The inclusion of these tropes was done VERY well, VERY sophisticatedly. Unlike 3WBF, where I did not expect to see BL tropes -- because 3WBF’s crime story was clearly not a home for BL tropes, at all -- I LOVED SEEING THEM in Manner of Death. It was like seeing old friends again.
I wanted to know what was up with that. So to MDL I went, and found that Title Nirattisai is MoD’s screenwriter. I knew I knew that name, and I went a-clickin’, and went -- AHHHH.
Title is the screenwriter of He’s Coming To Me. THE SCREENWRITER OF *HE’S COMING TO ME!!!* And he, along with Au Kornprom, wrote Dark Blue Kiss. As we know -- they are both Aof Noppharnach shows of the highest order.
WELL, WELL, FUCKING WELL! That solves THAT mystery. Why is the writing of Manner of Death so great? Why does it balance a crime genre story so well with the very best of BL tropes?
It’s because we have a writer in Title who defied and/or played with BL tropes in HCTM and DBK. HCTM, as I’ve previously established, was WELL AHEAD OF ITS TIME by way of storytelling, mood, and BL genre subversion. DBK was the first GMMTV BL to focus on an ONGOING and ESTABLISHED relationship -- à la Still 2gether, later in GMMTV’s history, but a decision that goes against the grain of your usual BL assumptions in seeing a relationship BEGIN, complete with flirtation, with longing, with yearning, etc.
Title is a screenwriter who is CLEARLY comfortable with playing outside of the boundaries of BL expectations -- HCTM is DEFINITIVE of that position. Again, I wondered broadly why Manner of Death was just such a GOOD and watchable show. It’s because its writing was flowing, seamless, and SMART. And I think Title knew, that by centering the show in CRIME and MYSTERY, as opposed to romance, that he could actually play around with expectations of BL romance in a new and singular way.
This is some cool-ass shit. 3WBF established that you could lead a crime story and include queerness. Manner of Death took this a touch further, and brought BACK the very best of BL tropes within a crime frame. BRILLIANT. And, listen. I have He’s Coming To Me on the OGMMTVC list as a BL. If we continue to extrapolate this argument, then -- I might contradict myself, and agree with @true-unicorn-queen, and maybe call Manner of Death a BL. In the end, I’ll give this argument to whoever wants to pick it up, because for me -- MoD was just a good damn SHOW that used mystery, BL, and romance tremendously well in its composition. And that’s why I think it was so successful.
(One last tiny note on this: let me not forget to note the director of Manner of Death is Ma-Deaw Chookiat, the director and screenwriter of Dew the Movie. He, like Title, is certainly someone who plays on the very interesting fringes and intersections of the BL genre.)
For my pure simpy pleasure, I also thought MaxTul were way better in this than in Together With Me, Max especially. (As I’ve now established -- MoD was an excellent show itself, with the script of Together With Me being shaky at best, except for dear Yihwa.) I previously noted that there were some little fumbles in Tul’s acting in MoD, but nothing that kept me from enjoying the show. But Max was REALLY damn good. AND: listen. I mean, I love how jocky both of these guys were in the show, but Max REALLY did fighting and gun stuff and like, physical crime stuff VERY well. It was exciting -- he didn’t seem like he was doing it for the first time. If the show felt like it nailed CBS primetime shit like, I dunno, Hawaii Five-O or whatever, by way of its fight scenes, then I call that a win. I CLEARLY don’t normally watch those kinds of shows, HA, but I’ll watch a crime show if it has MaxTul in it, dammit!
Really quickly, on the point about whether or not MoD had an influence on future genre shows like Not Me and KinnPorsche: I will await my Not Me viewing, and my rewatch of KP, to make that final judgement, and I promise I’ll include MoD analyses in both those reviews. I think this is an important conversation to have continuing over the course of the OGMMTVC project, because aligned with this conversation is still a lingering awareness and analysis of the pressures that BL creators face and struggle with vis à vis romance, as I mentioned before. This is a struggle that continues to this day, as we most recently saw in Tee Bundit’s Step By Step, and whether or not that show was meant to be a romance, a workplace drama, and/or a macro-commentary on BL and BL expectations. I’ll be watching Not Me for the first time -- and I was not aware, at all, of any of these kinds of pressures when I first watched KinnPorsche. I’d like to go in fresh with both shows to be aware of what they WEREN’T doing by way of tropes to create very unique art, and to understand if and how Manner of Death opened that door.
One other floating point: à la A Tale of Thousand Stars that follows Manner of Death, MoD is centered in the rural town of Viang Phra Mork, showing off Thailand’s gorgeous northern scenery. I actually didn’t fully put this together until I had moved on to ATOTS on the OGMMTVC list, but as I was watching MoD, I loved that over the course of the show, many of the characters, especially Rungtiva, were shown wearing more ethnic Thai-inspired clothes, just like Khama and the villagers in ATOTS. I love that over the course of the OGMMTVC, we have gotten to see more and more deep dives into Thailand and Thai culture (Moonlight Chicken being another excellent example). Y’all who follow my blog know that I’m particularly interested in tracking Thai politics and Thai cuisine in our shows, and any bits of Thai culture that I can glom onto in our shows is so welcome. I loved it, and I’ll refer more to this in my ATOTS rewatch review.
Finally, oh finally: MoD’s ending, HA. FIRST OFF: I mean, THE WEDDING, GAH. COME ONNNN. What a lovely farewell to MaxTul. At that point, I think it was assumed that we’d see them one more time in Transplant, but alas. But I really loved that we got to see BunTan in full-circle commitment.
And that proposal. Y’all. Y’ALL. I. WAS. DYING. So not only did that proposal NOT NEED GUN WHIPS, LOL, but as @kattahj pointed out to me, the proposal included GIVING SORAWIT/SORN A GUN, which, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Listen. I didn’t get into the actual deep meat of the show itself, of the UTTER success of the mystery story, in part because I don’t want to give it away for folks who haven’t watched it yet. But -- if you haven’t watched it, please watch Manner of Death. It’s a wonderful break from the BL norm, done absolutely wonderfully by a stellar screenwriter in Title, acted very well by Max, acted very attractively by MaxTul, and the supporting cast was spot on. I know I’ll be checking out Triage at some point to say my final-final farewell to Tul Pakorn, and I wish him all the very best in his next career. We’ll see Max and Toptap next in The Outing, and while that show looks -- confusing? -- I’ll definitely be following it for Max, to see what’s next up in his career. (I hope his health is doing better.) MoD kicked ass, with that classic MaxTul heat, crime, intrigue, AND romance, and it was an utterly successful show that’s absolutely worth celebrating.
[We’re truckin’! I’m making process on my review queue: we have my A Tale of Thousand Stars rewatch review dropping next week, with Lovely Writer after that, and then a double-review of Last Twilight in Phuket and I Promised You The Moon. I’m also going to squeeze in a review of The Warp Effect on Thursday for that Only Friends-flava.

I am a MosBank Truther!
I do not hate all fan service. I think it's good to see men casually touch each other in public AND get paid to do it. My favorite pairs for fan service are MaxTul, who WILL return to me one day; YinWar, who understand the "Business Gay Performance" concept; JoongDunk, who are my GMMTV fighters; and MosBank. But unlike all of these other 200 branded pairs running around in BL Land, I actually think MosBank are a real couple, and I truly believe that they are already married. *looking you directly in your eyes* I'm serious. And I have thirty images from their recent appearance on the Har Tum Show to prove it.
But first, if you are not familiar with this show, Eclair is the host and she invites guests over to cook while she shit talks, and babygirl is quick. Jes and Bible from 4 Minutes were recently on, and while Jes matched Eclair's energy as this was his second appearance on the show, Bible was lost in the sauce, which only made their appearance even more delightful. And the reason is because homegirl casually drops sex jokes and snappy quips into the conversation, so guests must be on their toes to keep up.
AND MOSBANK CAME PREPARED!
Bank and Mos already know Eclair. Bank knows her from college, and Mos knows her from mutual friends *cough* Bank *cough* so they got down to business quick, and by business, I mean dick jokes. They are making deep-fried shrimp sushi, so Bank immediately holds the cucumber to size it up, and Eclair jumps into Bank's blowjob skills after briefly discussing how many shrimp are in the meal. +2 for talking about oral sex five minutes in.
This prompts Bank to sing "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid (in English) because it ties into the discussion of the ingredients needed for the meal (shrimp, seaweed, salmon) and blowjobs. No points given because even though Bank can sing, Ariel doesn't deserve to take strays about blowjobs.
Mos discloses that Bank's family owns a durian farm, so the queer movie of the moment The Paradise of Thorns gets mentioned, but Bank throws in his critique that they are more like The Paradise of Scorns. +2 for Bank's wittiness and Mos' sensible chuckle
Then Bank reveals that he is the one who scouted Mos for Star Hunter because he was thirsting over Mos' pictures on social media. +4 because Bank . . . same. I, too, would slide into Mos' DMs after perusing his socials.
As the conversation continues, both men confess that they hated school, but Bank is the smarter one on paper ONLY because he knew he wanted to be an actor and didn't want to appear dumb, so he got tutoring to get rid of his country accent and up his grades, while Mos only got his grades up because his mom sent him to an all-boys school in Bangkok 💀 Eclair is surprised because she thinks Bank plays up the "dumb-blonde" persona, and they joke that's a good thing because he can get away with it. +6 for Mos and his all-boy school
And then we get into the domesticity! Mos and Bank have randomly mentioned they live together throughout the years, so Eclair starts asking questions about their home life. Mos likes to do the chores. Bank likes to shop.
Eclair thinks Bank would feel guilty for not helping Mos with the chores, but both men correct her that Mos likes doing these things, and if Mos was her boyfriend, he'd gladly do it for her too. +10 because Bank does not cook nor does he clean, but he got that ring!
Because Mos seems too perfect to be true, Bank throws him under the bus and admits it bothers him that Mos doesn't say he loves people or misses them NOT EVEN HIS PARENTS OR FAMILY! -2 only because Bank brings this up every year in their Valentine's Day videos, and Mos still is tight-lipped.
But he quickly recovers because he says Mos isn't a man of too many words and actually shows his love through actions, like buying him a Celine bag and other stuff that he cannot mention even though Eclair pressures him to share. No points given
Eclair asks if either one of them gets upset easily, but specifically targets Bank since he is known for having an attitude in their travel videos when he is hungry or tired. +2 to Eclair for being shady
Once they sit down to enjoy the meal that Mos has basically single-handedly made for them, the conversation gets sad when Bank mentions he just wants a good life for his parents and how he misses his grandma, who was his biggest supporter but died during the pandemic so he didn't get to see her before she passed.
It's a heavy moment, but Eclair spins it and asks Mos if he has any sad tales to tell, to which Bank immediately answers that Mos' family is nothing but happy vibes and good times. +1 for the look exchanged between Bank and Eclair because people who have happy families make us all a little sick.
Eclair latches on to the fact that Bank answered the question about Mos' family, and Mos casually responds that Bank would know because he has met his family, several times, since he goes home with Mos, each time. +4 because this is the domesticity that has me convinced they are already married since they are holding hands under the table.
From the way Mos is talking, it's clear the boys stay AT his parents' house when they visit, so Eclair asks if Mos' mom ever hears them.
Mos, in a serious voice, instantly replies that they are quiet.
Bank bursts into laughter, but Eclair isn't done and wants to know what quiet things are done quietly, so Mos offers the only acceptable answer - "Whatever Bank wants" +100 points for Mos being perfect
The conversation gets back to the original point of Bank visiting Mos' family and the guys talk about the first time Bank went home with Mos. The aunties were aflutter when they saw Bank with Mos and because Mos comes from a small community, the entire village practically knew before they even got to the house.
They even recreate the aunties on the street breaking their necks to get a glimpse of Mos' rich boy. +3 for the way the boys deliver it
When they were walking the streets or at the market, they knew people were talking about them (out of curiosity), but whenever Mos or Bank would acknowledge them, the aunties would scatter. +1 for knowing that small town talk is not a negative thing but a way of sharing news
Everywhere they went, people would already know who Bank was because the chisme was running rampant! +2 because the boys are telling the hell out of this story and they are telling it TOGETHER, like both are telling it at the same time. It's glorious!
And since we understand that they were staying AT the parents' house, it seems as if they were also staying in the same room since Grandpa came to collect them once aunties started standing outside of the house wanting to take pictures with them. +2 since Mos is thrilled that Bank was so popular with his people
After the story, Eclair puts on her business cap and opens the door for the guys to talk about their various projects and socials, but the lady is a professional who can turn anything into a sex joke.
MosBank have a YouTube channel called Mong Biew which is a play on their names, but Eclair asks if it's a play on "Bong Biew" which apparently means tilted, and at first I thought she was making a straight/gay joke, but nope! It's a dick joke because Mos proudly declares that it's straight!
And I'm giving Mos another +100 points because this kid gets it! I thought Bank was going to easily steal the show, while Mos was busy cooking, but Mos is just as quick and snappy with his comebacks. He isn't just a Instagram thirst trap! The boy's got moxie!
Because this is still business, the guys give their product placement spiel for an anti-bloat mix, Air-X, and Eclair quickly turns capitalism on its head when she gets Bank to admit he farted on set during one of his romantic scenes with Mos. +4 points to Eclair for making a product placement hilarious and getting the chisme!
And the show wraps up with Eclair giving Air-X another spotlight as she states it's the second item Bank would pack for a trip AFTER HE PACKS CONDOMS!
2000 POINTS TO MY FAVORITE MARRIED COUPLE because we all win when the aunties approve of the boyfriend and Eclair can get a good dick joke or ten out of it!
#mosbank#Har Tum Show#they are my bias#I was proud of them like I had trained them for this#isbanky#mos panuwat#they matched Eclair's energy#usually one of the guests is weak#but both boys excelled#they are married#or they are the best actors on this planet#and I'll believe either one

5 Songs Meme - Kpop Ballad Edition
Tagged by @btwinlines thanks hon! I been travelling a lot recently so mostly listening to music and not watching BL (sadness).
When you get this you have to answer with 5 of your fav songs and then tag your mutuals to do the same :) (no pressure!) - But you should play if you want to!
Right now so busy I'm mainlining Kpop ballads, here are my top 5 (right now) I mostly have favorite songs for short lengths of time.
youtube
1 Remember by Winner - I know they're like one of those forgotten Kpop groups but I have real affection for Winner and the MV for this one is so sweet. It's like a legacy goodbye to their fans as they go off to serve one after another. Bittersweet and we don't get that much in Kpop.
youtube
2 Someday by BTOB - would this be a Kpop ballad list without them? No it would not. As MaxTul are to BL so BTOB are to Kpop ballads - Kings. Nuff said.
(ALSO Hyunsik my damn bias wrecker with those fucking octave jumps. Killing me.)
youtube
3 Anti Romantic by TXT - hello my personal anthem.
youtube
4 Letter by Jinyoung - hi mr butter voice, sing me to sleep
youtube
5 The Light by The Arc - oh yeah, deep pull. All you baby stans out there check out this fucking work of brilliance. Thank me later. However, you might find the MV too heavy, watch the dance sesh instead.
BONUS pick (not Kpop)
youtube
Sunshower by Ayumu Imazu
My favorite OTS of 2022 and oen of the few that remains in rotation for me.

"It's just fanservice" Fanservice for what?? They don't have a series together, they were never an official ship for work related reasons. They are your typical friends to lovers. BL fans want actors to be actually queer and then fight tooth and nail when it turns out they actually are. And for the special cases among the people yes, you can still enjoy MaxTul content but without using it as a reason to deny someone's real life relationship. I love MaxTul, they have wonderful chemistry and are amazing actors. Nothing changed, just more love and happiness being spread. Enjoy it, take it in, allow yourselves to just be happy for someone.

Thai QL Favorites Tag game
Aw, @plantsarepeopletoo, I think you are the first person to tag me on here, thanks for that! Also, I adore your name.
Favorites are a tricky thing for me, I tend to love a lot of things, and am not big into ranking...so these answers might change depending on the day.
Favorite Thai QL: Until We Meet Again was one of the first I watched, and it hit me deeply. There is something about the beginning with Dean & Pharm, and how they know they’re connected, but unsure why. Total chills. I know some people find it slow, but I never felt like that. Just really good storytelling. And I also have to say Not Me. It’s just so unique in terms of BL. I love a good secret twin story, but also the incredible acting and social commentary really took a hold of my heart.
Favorite Pairing: I’m someone who doesn’t really like fanservice or people being trapped into one pairing (I love First & Khaotung together, but they have too much charisma with literally everyone to be permanently a pair). That being said, gotta give it to MaxTul. And I am a little bummed we won’t get just one more series from them.
Most underrated actor: Ooh, this is a tough one. I can’t think of anyone I feel is really underrated, but I do wish actors were given more of a chance to break free of some of their typecast roles. I feel like some of them are underestimated in what they could do if offered the right material. Like everyone knows Fluke Natouch and Earth Katsamonnat are incredible actors, but I’d love to see them do something where they get to play more confident and assertive, not to mention morally dubious. In real life Earth is always looking so fierce! I want him to be sassy and fashionable in a show.
Favorite Character: Yok, from Not Me. I can’t explain fully why, just love that man so damn much.
Favorite Side Character: Nam, Chon’s mom from Tonhon Chontalee. I didn’t really like the show, but I love and her fire so much. May we all have someone in our lives who would love us and fight for us so fiercely.
Favorite scene in a QL: Oof...there are so many good ones! The Pride flag scene in Not Me is an amazing one. I like the rooftop scenes in both Bad Buddy & Why R U. I’m sure I could come up with more, but we’ll stick with that for now.
Favorite line in a QL: I’m terrible at remembering to write down lines I enjoy. I’ll add if I think of one later!
Most Anticipated QL (& why): I really like Perth Tanapon, so I’m interested to see what he does with Dangerous Romance. Honestly, I’m just happy we’re starting to see more BLs that are playing around with genres like historical or thriller. Give us all the types of BL!
Healthiest relationship in a QL: This is tricky, because of how many couples have that random miscommunication that should be solved in 5 minutes, but has to take that extra episode. Maybe Le Jian and Amber from DNA Says Love You? I don’t remember perfectly, but they were very sweet. Also, I think I gotta say Phayu & Rain from LITA are pretty strong. I know not everyone vibes with their dynamic, but they’re both good at understanding what the other needs from them.
Most toxic relationship in a QL: Oh, that one from Love by Chance, with Techno...and that other guy I can’t remember. Gross & creepy.
Guilty pleasure series: The first half of Love in the Air, and History 1: Obsessed. Obsessed has so many tropes I should hate, but it somehow works in a “I know how this is supposed to go in another universe and I’m losing my mind here because I know I got you killed with my stupidity” kind of way.
Most Underrated Series: I think I have to go with Ghost Host, Ghost House. I almost never see people mention it, but I flipping adored it.
Apologies that I have no idea who hasn’t done this yet... but if you want to jump on, consider yourself tagged!
