Terry being a big metalhead and trying to show Chuck some thrashy shit like Slayer or Morbid Angel and making his boomer head spin.

So, it should be established Terry has autism. One of the reasons he feels so welcome into Chuck’s home is becuase it is very low stimulation, yknow with the low lighting, lack of screens, and overall being quiet (no electrical hums). It is usually just the two of them in the house as well, which keeps Terry calm, as he has trouble communicating with others. Chuck understands what it is like to be ostracized for being “unfit” for society. This is one of the main reasons that they fall for each other.

When Terry discovers the news of Chuck’s death, like Howard, he immediately knows it was no accident. Upon witnessing the wreckage of Chuck’s home, he falls to his knees and feels a profound numbness. He wishes he could have been in that house as well, to ingnite in flames with the one he loves.
