So. Mcog Colour analysis:

Esteban - white:

* purity, innocence: lived hidden from the world in religious setting + he’s a child so yeah purity. Untainted by life. And innocence cause he’s got no experience of the outside world and He’s young

* Simplicity and minimalism: lived with monks, simple life, doesn’t ask for much, doesn’t take up much space, can barely tell he’s there

* Symbol of truth: wants to know what’s real, what’s the truth, searches for answers

* too perfect, or too artificial: made into mythological figure, needs to be perfect, seen as different from everyone else

* knowledge, learning: spends quest learning about himself and the world, where he comes from, learns about Mu and Atlantis heritage, wanting to know more is what led him to go on the adventure

* morality: has strong moral code, values human life, understands good from bad, acts as mendoza’s moral compass

* freedom: leaves monastery in search for answers, gains freedom to do what he wants, no one decides for him, golden condor gives certain freedom of going anywhere, without being restrained by natural forces; gravity, time, etc

Zia - orange:

* passion, power: passionate about certain causes, like helping people, is very powerful/strong emotionally, also has many magical powers (mental ones)

* Joy, confidence: has fun often, laughs a lot, very confident even though the circumstances, is confident enough to call Mendoza out for his lies, also easily lies herself to salvage a situation

* Adventure: eager to follow her friends to different countries, enjoys the thrill of adventure (like in that scene with Mendoza)

* Sociability, positivity, optimistic: very social, gets along with everyone, tries to include everyone (ex: Isabella), makes friends, tries to understand everyone’s motivations, notices when someone’s upset (ex: Mendoza), reads people easily, sees things on bright side, doesn’t get discouraged easily

* Spirituality, meditation, compassion: gets wisdom from father, is seen praying/meditating to the night sky, spiritual connection is important to her, traditions and beliefs, very compassionate to most people

* Courageous: believes the prophecy won’t let her down, not afraid of the cities being destroyed because she knows she won’t be harmed, can stand up for what’s right, helps other people overcome fears (ex: Esteban)

* Unique: has certain powers/abilities no one has, thinks she’s strange and weird, is the only inca wherever she goes, also only girl in team

Tao - yellow:

* Betrayal, deceit, dishonesty: feels betrayed by closest people (Esteban, Mendoza, Ambrosius), overly suspicious at times, hates being lied to

* Idealism: puts his ancestors on high pedestal, idealizes them, which is why he sees Esteban as his enemy (because he’s from Atlantis )

* Imagination, creativity: makes new inventions to solve problems, sees things in different ways, comes up with solutions to riddles

* Philosophy, intellect: very smart, sees things from analytical point of view, can get absorbed in work or carried away, understands world is not black and white

* Jealousy: jealous of Esteban and Zia, doesn’t understand why he’s not chosen despite being Mu, feels left out, wants to be useful and belong

* Hope, friendship: cares deeply about his friends, turns them into new family, wants to spend time with them and teach them about Mu, hopes that he can spread his knowledge, hope in future; builds new order

* Energy: moves a lot, energetic, athletic due to living in trees

* Self-esteem: Was tricked, does not believe in himself, feels like he needs to attain certain standards, needs to be useful or else he does not belong, thinks he’s a failure

Mendoza - blue:

* Ocean, sky: sea captain, wishes for adventure on the ocean, navigation relies on night sky and stars, is at home on the sea

* Serenity, stability, reliability: keeps calm composure, shows that his friends can rely on him

* Wisdom: often teaches Esteban how to deal with difficult emotions, like anxiety, also teaches the children about navigation and the places they visit

* Intuition: understands situations immediately, can see where event is heading, gut feeling often helps him, strong instincts, can feel when something is strange/off, understands people’s hidden intentions

* Sadness, depression, loneliness: pushes others away, fends for himself, can feel deep sadness but keep it to himself, closed off to world, few friends and no family (season 1), has to focus on gold to keep his mind off the sadness (?), survival mechanism

* Contentment, spiritual development: starts off only caring about gold, slowly opens up to children, learns to love, able to ask himself questions to understand what he want wants in life, content with his actions, knows he made right decision, finds and fulfills purpose

* Icy, distant, cold: detached, does not want to connect to others, shows little empathy or emotion, hides true feelings, does not share personal details about life

* Truth: never lies to children even when it might benefit him (seasons 2-3-4), answers Esteban’s questions truthfully, gives Esteban the opportunity to find out for himself what happened to his father

* Responsibility, fidelity, trust, security: takes responsibility for actions, responsible for group, acts as leader, even when his intentions aren’t clear, shows that he’s still on the children’s side, wants children to trust him and slowly gains their trust, always loyal to his team even when betraying them could give him personal gain, children feel safe around him, trusts children as well

* Dedication, bravery: dedicated to cause (ex: freeing workers in India, stopping the meteor from hitting the earth), still fights Zarès knowing he won’t win, puts life in danger to save others

This isn’t an mcog analysis post, but I thought it would be fun to do an mcog x spider verse thing (idk lots of people do it). I can’t draw though, so I’ll have to describe it instead

- Esteban: uhhhhh sun spider. Mostly white and yellow colour scheme. Has light/ heat powers. Related to the sun. Spider designs on suit look like sun rays. Wasn’t bitten by radioactive spider but gets powers from spider/sun medallion. Perhaps spider is just inside the medallion

Zia: Orange colours, suit has Inca patterns and designs. Has telekinesis powers + talks with animals. Got kidnapped and put in a ship, but aboard she was bitten by radioactive spider and was shocked cause she could understand it speaking

Tao: yellow and green colours. Super smart and inventor like the og peter Parker. He got bit by the spider while out in the jungle, it made him super athletic and strong

Mendoza: classic blue and red colour scheme, but with more blue than the OG Spiderman. didn’t get bitten by the spider but did get poisoned by its venom don’t ask me how idk. Oh wait someone was trying to kill him with poison but it didn’t work as they expected. It didn’t add much just made him stronger ya know

Isabella: red and white outfit. Athletic and flexible like Gwen. Uses webs as whips, also webs are like super strong. Her dad was studying the spider then it escaped and oops guess who it bit
