MF Day #55: Kuffs

2016 was the year when the Mixels craze started to die down a little, at least in the Cartoon Network/LEGO department. And that’s probably because there were other cartoons/toys made at the time that overshadowed the Mixels series. The specials made in that year were also pretty lackluster compared to what we’ve had before. They weren’t anything bad, but they didn’t exactly serve as the most epic conclusions to the show, as a lot more could’ve been done with it. But regardless of all that, the team still pushed through to experiment around and create some freshly new and fun additions to the Mixels lineup. And it had a pretty solid start with wave 7, which I personally think is the best of 2016, because it has the one that had most fun ideas and designs. Continuing from where the Weldos constructed, the MCPD was one of the first tribes to be found during the Mixopolis era. And Kuffs is a pretty cool looking police mixel, being yet another one of the big armed designs. But instead of being a rehash of someone like Krader or Kamzo, this one was done with purpose. Not only to indicate his role as the chief, but also to represent the right arm of the law.

Thatcher. I'm thinking he's a werewolf but I haven't gotten a good idea of his design that. wouldn't just be alt au Thatcher- /VLH

Basically, he got turned on the investigation in the murray household, being attacked and bit by another werewolf, while Ruth. unfortunately died in the attack. Thatcher definitely. hates the fact that he's no longer fully human.

However, Ruth. is still around. in spirit anyway. She mainly talks through radios, but also really likes living in computers and only making herself known to Thatcher. she basically takes over the computer fully and can access anything said computer also can access. Kinda like. a sentient, less annoying and actually helpful Clippy.

Also I just finished a mock up of her design like less than an hour ago so here!

Here we have Stretch Panic after a successful heist being pursued by the MCPD…well, just one at least, the rest ended up getting sidetracked by murpkibishi (makibishi) she dropped on the ground during her escape. Fortunately, Tiketz avoided her spikes and managed to catch up to her, deadlocked in catching her once and for all.

Spoilers: She gave him the slip and he ended up crashing into some trash cans.

THATCHER: so, there's a child the MCPD has been watching. a little ginger 7 year old by the name of, what was it, aileen? aileen something kelley, i know that. THATCHER: we think she's an alternate. THATCHER: half alternate, at least. which is somehow possible, apparently. THATCHER: her mother - wonderful lady to have conversation with, naomi kelley, reported to the MCPD that her daughter's been crying blood, or some kind of thing otherwise considered blood. THATCHER: she also says that when the poor kid gets upset or angry, or any intense emotion really, technology starts fucking up. [HE LAUGHS SOFTLY.] THATCHER: couldn't get an interview with the kid because the camera messed up and the audio went haywire or even stopped at any point. couldn't get an interview with momma either because she just, didn't answer back when we called her. [HE SIGHS.] THATCHER: kid's awfully small too, only goes up to about my hip. and i'm 5'10. THATCHER: if we get better cameras, which i doubt will be possible, we'll probably be able to catch an interview with aileen. THATCHER: anyways, that's all the information i've got currently. [THATCHER turns off camera and audio goes for a few more moments, catching his tired mumbling.] [END OF LOG]

MF Day #61: Busto

Busto has got such a unique and funny design. He’s a walking jail cell with a goofy face on it. Now I find this idea to be really clever, but I can’t help be wonder how his body functions work. Whenever he eats or drinks something, does it go inside his stomach? Or is the jail cell is his stomach, and it just ends up in there? If that’s the case it’ll probably be a pretty messy prison for any criminals he catches.
