Ok, story time.

I created this blog like a couple of months ago. And I'm impressed.

I've been on tumblr since 2012. Was particularly active in a specific fandom from 2014 to 2017. I still enjoy this fandom but can't really be active there anymore because that universe is now closely tied to my profession, and it feels weird. Anyway. At one point in 2017 I kinda gave up and stopped Tumblr because of reasons. My two blogs were still (and are still) around but was pretty much inactive.

And 15 months ago, I started playing BG3 and it changed my life.

At first I was posting and reposting some BG3 content on one of my old blogs, but it didn't feel right - especially since it was a sideblog. And it took me almost a year to create a new account, and this new blog. All this to say I know how Tumblr works, it hasn't changed so much in 15 years - except for a few new features. Fandoms still function the same way. So I was quite nervous about being active in a fandom again. And when I started this blog, I didn't even imagine I would get any attention. And yet, in a few weeks I already interacted with amazing, smart, kind, interesting people. And there are quite a few persons who like and share the things coming out of my stupid brain. I'm positively dumbfounded (I don't complain though!). Against all odds, despite my original wariness, I haven't regretted coming back here a single time. And I say that even though I know Tumblr can become toxic and "dangerous", somehow. I've been hurt before on this website. But fandoms never cease to amaze me, and even though Tumblr can be arf... annoying (not the users, the website itself), it's still a place where you can meet incredible people, discover wonderful artists and talented writers (I met one of my dearest friends on Tumblr ten years ago.)

I don't pretend to be anything special. I'm just someone obsessed with a certain game and certain pale elf. I don't have any particular skill. And yet, here you are, a hundred of you. Thank you. I'm not sure why you're here but each one of you matters.

And you know what's great with the BG3 fandom? The appreciation for each other's OCs - I'm used to evolve in a fandom in which OCs are ignored (especially fem OC), and it's so liberating to see so many different OC - not matter their sex and gender - to see all the love they rightfully receive! It's liberating! (I used to rp a fem OC on Tumblr, I know what I'm talking about xD)

Of course not everything is perfect, no fandom is perfect, they're not even supposed to be. But I'm globally impressed by the quality of my interaction with other BG3 fans. Thank you all from a Tumblr dinosaur 💕 (PS: I still miss the good all time when you could go full NSFW on Tumblr xD)

my 2024 year in fandom 

I started off the year by creating my whump sideblog @violets-whumperflies (January 3). I've been into whump for a long time, but never got up the courage to be part of the community and post my own stuff until then. 

My spring was marked by the resurgence of my interest in The Owl House and Avatar the Last Airbender, fueled by the mutual square/triangle/pentagon of hell groupchat. Thank you to Lilac (@itslilacmoon), Crush (@crushpunchh), Aru (@watery-melon-baller), and Never (rip). Chatting with you guys about fandoms and the struggles of college life made my spring a bit more joyful. 

I also participated in two Nimona fan events this year, courtesy of the wonderful @zyrafowe-sny! Nimona Week was a fun burst of springtime energy and the Nimona Big Bang kept me making art throughout the year. Shoutout also to the WIP Wednesday community that encouraged me to write!

New fandoms this year! In May, I finally got around to reading The Locked Tomb series and loved it. I annotated the ebooks of HtN and NtN while reading on a plane, which helped me keep track of my theories and showed some fun reactions that I "liveblogged."

July was a tough month for me in my personal life, and I turned to fic to cope. I somehow stumbled upon Batfam hurt/comfort and kind of got obsessed. Eventually, this extended to actually reading some comics. I haven't posted about this fandom a lot since it doesn't "fit my brand" on tumblr, but I suppose this is the "inflict posts about new fandoms on your mutuals" website. 

In early December, one of my friends got me into Epic: The Musical. Since then, I've already published two fics for it, because it wouldn't let go of my brain. I even revived the old tiktok account I had before tumblr to do cosplay. And it was perfect timing to get into the fandom because the last saga released on Christmas!

Another update on my personal life: Remember my girlfriend? They're now my queerplatonic partner! They figured out that they're ace and nonbinary and now we're both leaning into our aspec identities. I think this is also reflected in my fandom interests, where I drifted away from shipping and towards platonic and familial dynamics. My new favorite dynamic is "whatever they have going on between them is not romantic or sexual but infinitely stronger and weirder."

For anyone interested, below the cut is an update on my current hxh fics as well as possible future plans for this blog going forward.

Friends, it's happened.

After almost 4 years of Hunter x Hunter being my number 1 reigning champion of an obsession, my hype for it has subsided and a new anime hyperfixation is beginning to emerge in its place. Whilst not a new show, my husband and I decided to start watching Bleach together and it's... sinking it's teeth into me. I'm a LONG way off finishing the series, but so far there are hot characters I wanna smash, cute pairings I ship, a HUGE cast of (mostly) interesting and lovable characters that I just enjoy as they are, some interesting plots and enough nonsense in between to fill me with all kinds of inspiration and excitement to start writing a whole new load of Bleach fanfics...

But hisokas-toybox! What about your existing unfinished fics??? And the Greed Island server you literally just joined and all the exciting hxh fandom activity and friends you love so much? How can you just abandon us so easily for pretty men with fancy swords???

Unfortunately, I do not control the hyperfixations. Or the thirsting over pretty anime boys...

I do however, still love all of my hxh fandom friends and the hxh community, so whilst I will be stepping back from creating new hxh works for a little while, I will still keep reading and appreciating all the fic/headcanons/drabbles/memes/theorys/art that you guys make and I'm of course still reading the latest manga chapters as they come out. As for my existing fanfics and creative endeavours, here's the rough breakdown of where I'm at with them

Turning Point - Extended Hiatus.

Ohhh this fic.... I both want and fully intend to finish it.

Someday.

The problem is I have literally no ending planned for it... When I started writing Turning Point there were several key scenes which I was desperate to write. I (stupidly) assumed that once I got those ideas down, and had my OC's character kind of fleshed out that the rest of the story would magically reveal itself to me...

It did not.

Currently, I do not know where this story is going or what the 'end' is going to be... I love what I have so far, but my inexperience in writing and failure to plan ahead has really got me stuck.

I will come back to this story at some point and hopefully, with fresh eyes be able to make something out of it.

Hopes and Fears - In progress/mini hiatus

Unlike Turning Point, I have this story fully planned out. I just need to write it.

Because of my waning interest in hxh as a series, and just because of life in general being a bit busy lately, I haven't had the time/motivation to sit down and add to the story.

I do very much plan to finish it though and I deeply appreciate all the love and kind comments its got so far. I genuinely didn't expect anyone to read it, let alone stick with it and enjoy it. I swear I will give you all an ending to it (One I hope you all love and that's worth waiting for)!

Greed Island Server Challenge - Ehhh *Shrugs*

It's fun. Everyone on the server is lovely and there is some MAD talent happening over there which I admire. Unfortunately, short deadlines for creative projects is HARD and NOT my strong-suit. I'll come back to it, but I'm a little burnt out art-wise after the Poor Man's Rose event and with my hxh interest lower than it was before, I'm struggling for the inspiration needed for new artwork.

I am SO curious as to why the creator of TDI blocked you

okayyyy so

total drama is created by a canadian production company called fresh tv. Back In The Day fresh tv had a tumblr blog and twitter account both called thefreshchannel (the tumblr url was claimed by a td fan shortly after they deactivated in the mid-to-late 2010s, both accounts deactivated around 2018). thefreshchannel on both websites was pretty active and frequently answered questions from fans. the tumblr even had anon on! during this dark time period of my teenage life, total drama was my biggest interest and i was basically obsessed with it. i joined tumblr at the age of 14 TO talk about total drama. it's the reason i'm here. literally when i started on here i had my main blog for exclusively td content and a sideblog for "everything else".

at one point (2015 i believe), someone on twitter asked thefreshchannel "hey, you guys gonna put any lgbt characters in total drama? :)" to which they replied with this:

this sparked a huge controversy in the td fandom obviously. fresh tv only dug the hole deeper and deeper. someone on tumblr asked "What do you mean you haven't done a gay character for the show yet? Have you seen Noah? x3" to which they replied "We don’t consider Noah to be gay". they no homo'd super hard to every ask and @ they received about the situation. eventually they just blocked literally everyone who was calling them homophobic, a population that included me. i was not notable here, he blocked basically every active lgbt fan of the show at the time.

someone tweeted something along the lines of "whatever guys this is just some intern at fresh they don't have any say on what actually happens in the show and what's canon or not", at which point thefreshchannel revealed he was TOM MCGILLIS, THE CREATOR OF TOTAL DRAMA AND PRESIDENT OF FRESH TV.

years later he ended up replying to another "is x gay" ask with that he thinks jacques from season 7 is gay, and the two new seasons of total drama that are coming out in the future will reportedly have lgbt characters (kinda late to the party in probably-2022), so i guess we ended up winning that one lol

if i forgot anything important or got details wrong this was all from literally 6 years ago and the accounts are both deleted so i cant just check

this is unrelated but while i'm talking about ancient td fandom bullshit i have to mention that tashalovesnirvana / tashalovestrolling (aka "jaded teenage girl" and possibly the same person as amegaotaku) started off her career of antagonizing people on tumblr and generally being a horrible person... in the td fandom, as tasha-loves-duncney! origin story.

I know you aren’t keen on getting a bunch of asks recommending media, but is there anything you’ve gotten into lately that you’re during to pitch to people?

Let's see. ^.^ I'm currently watching Adventure Time. This is my first time watching every episode sequentially (circa 2013 or 2014 or so, I watched a spattering of episodes out of order but never finished the show). Currently in S6. I absolutely love how the world grows in Adventure Time. You can tell the early seasons were written with little in mind, simply going out, being wild, being spontaneous, and creating a wacky, trippy world. But that turned into a world with great depth, heart, and expansion as the series continues (especially once you enter Season 5). The worldbuilding is awesomely done.

I feel like lots of shows, when they transition from "early spontaneity" to "long-term comfort," they lose something. I think of Futurama. The early seasons of Futurama are incredible because it's not formulaic to the viewer; events are unexpected; new characters are introduced rather than repeated, expected, predictable recurrences. Futurama is still a HELL of a show in its middling seasons, etc. and a fave of mine. The Office (USA) also has that challenge/loss. But damn, Adventure Time managed the transition INCREDIBLY smoothly and well, I love how you settle into the world. How you get into the depth. How you get worldbuilding. How you get into deeper story messages. And how even in the midst of all that, you still maintain that spark, that spontaneity, that uniqueness, that vibe that made me get interested in the show in the first place.

Adventure Time straddles the line between two types of off-kilter: the positive, quirky-bright off-kilter, and the slight-off-slightly-dark-off-kilter. It's great. I've also heavily appreciated the cast of characters, how there's a ton of women characters, and how they're all very interesting, in-depth, and not standard/stereotypes.

But uhhhhhh. Really my current hyperfixation is. Uh. Bluegrass. [laughter] Seriously. Bluegrass. Especially first generation bluegrass circa 1940s-1960s. I made a fuckin' sideblog intentionally to avoid folks unwantedly suffering juxtaposition of fictional fandom and music history obsessing. Heh. Hilariously, I've been timid to show the true depths of my screeching passion. Rn I'm trying to do blog clean-up and a mini-restart (halfway through retagging my posts! and planning to change how I write my posts so they're shorter, etc.), and trying to get more outgoing... because let's be real, it's going to be more entertaining if I'm gungho crying screeching infodumping unrestrained about the subject, whatever your background is on the subject. I know I enjoy reading posts on any topic if the writer is sufficiently excited, so I need to uh, channel the excitement! SO THAT'S WHAT I AM PLANNING TO DO.

And seriously that's where all my excitement in life is right now!!! It's changed my life and I'm not even joking (not gonna go into here rn why but yeah it has). Like holy shit I can't get enough of reading about these dudes from the 1950s. I can't get enough listening to them, watching videos, learning the little nothings, the stupid humorous stories, the Drama(tm) between competing bands, the development of the music, me learning how to play banjo and fiddle, writing creative stories (fics????) inspired by the topic, everything!!! I can listen to a recording and tell you which fiddler is playing in this band or which mandolin picker or which tenor is singing and probably estimate what year it was recorded because like, holy shit man, I have found my CALLING. I've started collecting 100 year old records! I'm heading to a bluegrass festival this weekend for three solid days of internal (and probably external) fanboying. Gah it's like, fucking, there's all those K-Pop fans out there and they have each other to scream with, and i'm all here by my lonesome on this fucking genre. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER so I cannot be happier at where my mind has headed.

So if you want to uhhhh read..... THAT??!?!?!?!?! uh? I mean, I don't expect you to be interested. BUT YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME ABOARD AND POKE ME and see what the stupid fucking shit I've somehow managed to get myself into. Okay but seriously it's so coool like all the different banjo playing styles??? How many people innovated their own style and taught themselves to play? ALL THE DIFFERENT INFLUENCES THAT GO INTO BLUEGRASS MUSIC??? How it's simultaneously a hella progressively innovative music style from its inception to today while also considered USA American traditional music? How many of these songs are several hundred years old and originated as English, Scottish, and the like folk tunes? How you might find out a bluegrass song actually originated as an obscure broadway tune that got coopted, or a Jamaican folk song, or big band jazz, or...? I mean holy cow dude, music is awesome and i'm so glad that it's a major part of my life again.

Mike aka captainpoe is talking shit about me so let me get things straight.

He’s gonna do screenshots of what will makes him look like the victim, like he always does so you will have to believe me on my words (since I coun’t found our conversations by pm) but most people who know me or I've been following me for a long time know that I usually stay out of the drama. Big thanks to my friends for telling me what he was doing behind my back like the adult he is.

3 years ago Mike started following me, I was back then a small blog and I thought “wow a big blog is following me!”

He started to talk me and really fast told me to send him my edits by messages and I did! he also reblogged me on his mcu blog (and his sw blog too... I think).

I was really stressed with a big exam around July and I became obsess with EVERYTHING, I was a true pain in the ass to everyone. I’m not gonna lie. So yeah I also became obsess with my Tumblr notes, I did gifs to relax but it was not working very well back then. my behavior was childish and I apologized to him after! 

(He accused me of wanting to be reblogged on his sideblogs, it’s true, but it’s natural to me to reblog everything that people send me or tag me in on my sideblogs, I sincerely don’t understand people problem with reblogging on sideblogs things ).

When he got harassed on here, more like called out (it was actually around the same time I was a dick)  he asked me to take his defense and to reblog a post he made, he was basically whining about how he was the victim and never harassed anyone, he sent me messaged telling me that he was a married man in florida and never did anything against the once upon a time fandom, wasn’t homophobic and meh meh meh... Back then I believed him because he was the nice guy who was helping me getting notes in the MCU fandom. He used me, after talking to other members I realized that I wasn’t alone. 

I WANT TO APOLOGIES TO THE POEPLE I DIDN’T BELIEVED BACK THEN. I KNOW WHO HE IS NOW. 

He started being aggressive but nothing worriedly when TLJ came around, it was a real little thing but I wasn't shipping Rey x poe and I felt like it was problem for him that I wasn’t shipping them. I didn't thought too much about it but still, it left a bad taste in my mouth, I wasn’t talking a lot to him after that.

When I had problems and got hate on my blog he didn't do shit to help me. 

I was still sending me my edits because... Notes. I can’t lie about that, like every  creators here I want my edits to get notes. 

I think we haven’t talked for a verrrry long time, I was sending my edits that’s it. 

Last year he asked me to join my GOT blog, after all the reblog he did for me I thought It would be really bitchy to me to not add him as a member. But I also noted that it was funny how he joined both the B99 and the GOT fandom once he realized that it was very popular. 

He did edits on the blog so no problem at all, until s8 ended. I’m like everybody, I hated that season but when someone join my sideblogs, especially my got one, I am very clear about the no hate rule (I had problems with that on this blog before). But he thought that since he was popular he could do what he wanted, I deleted the two first he reblogged, one of them was calling people to harass D&D and I hate what they did but as someone who has been victim of bullying at school and still suffer from that I was disgusted by what he posted but I haven’t told him anything since he’s really popular and I didn’t want to create any drama... I have a life so I  finally forgot about it. 

My laptop broke and gosh, I really understood who he was at that moment! I sent a messages to all the members of my sideblogs asking them to keep the blogs active while I can’t, normal stuff for an admin. I had my tablet with no photoshop... spidey got “fired” and like a lot of other people I thought about that scene in iw where Tony told him “you’re an avenger now”, lucky me I have already made that gifset before so I took my tablet and just reposted my own gifset, it took me so long because I had to convert it back to gif format because of Tumblr... Anyway, later he sent me a message accusing me of having copied him and I haven’t seen his gifset so told him exactly that. He then accused me of doing that ALL THE TIME with endgame and I told him “listen bro we’re both using the same 30 seconds YouTube clips that marvel gave us”, like 20 other people (they were not a lot of people because that channel was weirdly unknown), it’s true that I was doing them after him but it’s just because I have a life and cannot always do gif, I make them when I have time. He also basically told me that I must be rich for having replaced my laptop that fast, I haven’t, I was using my tablet but even if I did replace my laptop, mêle toi de ton cul ( I have no English expression coming to me ).

I really understood who he was then. 

He totally stopped making edits for my got blog, because it stopped trending so it wasn’t interesting him anymore. 

a few months past and I think the only thing he told me is that he was scared of clowns... Literally. 

And then the BIG ONE, I know he was a douche but omg. Mike asked me to reblog ALL his posts on a sideblog I'm only a member of. He told me that the admin have blocked him because she was shipping reylo and well reylos hate him because he’s posting shit on them , they were a huge misunderstanding then (because i’m French and I may not have explained myself right) , I told him that I wouldn’t reblog him if the admin didn’t want to see his posts on the blog, he was blocked! and I was, at the same time, talking to another member of this blog who is a close friend of the admin and she agreed with me. he was very insisting and I told him that the admin was checking what we add to the queue and would certainly delete his posts, it was the big misunderstanding that could have hurt the admin of the blog, I just meant I know she checks what’s happening because she told me when I don’t tag a post with the right tags, it’s just what a good admin (unlike myself) does. I also told him that it was a new blog with “only” 14k followers, he must have something like 50K followers sooooo, and that his edits were getting 100K notes, more than anybody here. He became... I have no words to describe that. He told me that it was a dictatorship if I couldn’t reblog what I wanted, and that I should leave the blog, I stopped answering pretty fast after that. 

 In our last conversation I was vulgar. (it’s in the post he sent to my friends), he really need to get over it, I’m French and from Normandie : I am vulgar! wtf. It’s also the last thing he ever posted on my game of thrones blog. It was a Sunday either two days after after the last star wars movie came out or ten days ( I don’t remember if he waited a week or not) but he reblogged a text post from his blog sending hate toward the writers of both got and sw and spoiled the entire Star Wars movie on my game of thrones blog, which was “the drop of water that caused the vase to bleed” like annoy me all you want but when people goes on my got blog they don’t want to be spoiled, it was so rude and mean and that post had nothing to do there and it was at least the third time so I told him to “fucking stop” and since mr thinks he is the king he went all “you can’t talk to me like that” “I'm an adult” meh meh meh. I told him to never go in France ‘cause he wouldn't like us. And it was the last time we spoke.  Nothing to do directly with me but I would never do what he does to get notes, that man he’s ready to use any big events such as pride or women’s day to get notes. I do make edits for those events too but I'm actually a bisexual woman and not an heterosexual man and I really don’t think he’s doing those edits to show his support to those movements but just to get notes, this year he did the same thing with blm movement I thought it was disrespectful at best, he even made the famous “I we burn you burn with us” gifset  from the movie and no, just stop dude.  Making that gifset of Naya before she was even found was awful, a lot of people are doing gifs to feel better about things but I don’t think it would have came to anybody else mind to have it ready in their draft. It actually make me think of myself because after they died I made a gifset of Carrie Fisher and Stan Lee  and in my head  it was a tribute but now that I think back about it I wouldn’t make gifset when people dies anymore, I said it once again but in my head it was a tribute to those wonderful people life and work.  I did to feel people and myself a little better in those situations but it didn’t makes me feel better. I thought about it even more, especially for Carrie, because I couldn’t stop thinking about Billie and losing my mom is the worst thing that could happen to me. You can say that, at the end, Mike makes me realize something. 

He has been calling out for his behavior but instead of facing it like an adult he just want to take people down instead of him, I'm one of them and I certainly won’t be the only one.  it’s someone who doesn’t know how to face the consequences of his behavior and still think he’s untouchable, me and one of my friend said that he thought he was the king of Tumblr and I sincerely think that in his head he is.

Is this blog connected to your main blog? As in like you clicked “create a new blog” while logged in and it creates a separate one? I want to make a aftg sideblog for my obsession bc all I do is use my tumblr that I haven’t been active on since 2013 to creep on aftg and I want to create one separately to just be free with my obsession and not hide in the shadows lol.. however I don’t want people to tell that my main blog is connected to the aftg one.. I have no idea how the creating blog functionality works in this joint.. okay thanks for any help :)

hey friend! i will preface this by saying that with any functionality on tumblr, im fumbling around in the dark, but here is what i have picked up from having a sideblog for a couple years

yes, my two accounts are on the same log in. i have my main account, and then this is the "sideblog," and i can toggle between them without logging in or out. when i scroll through my dashboard, i can choose which blog to reblog/queue things for, and post to either blog from the post editor. i created my sideblog primarily because my best friend follows my main, and he's never finished the series so i wanted to be able to reblog spoilers without giving away the end for him (i have since spoiled the end for him because i am impatient and decided i wanted to talk about it, but that is beside the point)

people cannot see what your main blog is just from looking at your sideblog. mine probably gives itself away because the blog names are vaguely similiar, but even so you'd have to know of both accounts to connect it; if all you saw was my sideblog, you couldnt figure out my mainblog just from looking at it. you can absolutely keep the two separate and it will not be immediately obvious that the two blogs are related. HOWEVER. there are a few key weaknesses about sideblogs that can give it away

1. replies. you can only reply from your main blog, so if you want to leave comments on something without using your main, you have to reblog, or people will see the name of your main blog (this leads to hilarious interactions where someone comments on a post i made on my sideblog, and i have to clarify in the replies that yes, i am in fact op, i just cant reply as myself)

2. if you follow someone, they will see your main blogs name, not the sideblog. (this is how a number of people i followed for aftg ended up politely following my main and i agonized for awhile about explaining that they were in fact, interacting with me twice as two different people). there is no way to follow someone "from your sideblog" and have them see that your sideblog followed them. so an astute person could notice that blog A followed them, but then afterwards blog B reblogged a bunch of stuff from them, and put it together, but that will only apply to people you follow from aftg, in this case

3. ditto with likes. anytime you like something, it will show up in the persons notifications as your main, so make sure you’ve got your likes set to private so anyone on your main cant see them.

there is probably other stuff, but i dont exploit a lot of the functionality of tumblr, so i wouldnt know what it is (ie groups and stuff). if its important to you to keep your interests completely separate, you'd probably have to make a whole new account.

hello friends!

I know it’s been forever since I’ve been on here (and whoa look at that! Tumblr has new features! Will have to play with them later lol) so please forgive me for disappearing. I’ll be making a concerted effort to be more active, having said that, there will be some changes to the blog since (surprise!) I have new interests. For those of you who’ve stuck with me through all of my incarnations I thank you and praise you and am surprised you don’t have major whiplash lol

More crap behind the cut since I feel a rambling coming on...

Most recently I was on twitter for another fandom but ultimately deactivated my account because I couldn’t handle the toxicity. To be fair, it wasn’t the fandom specifically, but just the platform in general. I just realized it wasn’t the platform for me, I much prefer it here (ofc toxicity exists here too, it’s just somewhat easier to control your experience here imo).

Anyway, I changed the description to my blog and created a new sideblog, as I’ve fallen into the kdrama hole and it is now my new obsession. If anyone is interested you can follow my new sideblog linked in my description. It might bleed onto here but for the most part I’ll keep it separate.

I hope to catch up with y’all and would love to know what you’ve all been up to and how you’re faring in these times. My kids are almost done their school year and I couldn’t be more thankful - distance learning has been extremely challenging for me at times. I’ve been trying to read more books as well, will probably make separate posts on those. I’ve also been thoroughly contemplating going back to college, maybe doing a masters program in Asian American Studies (tbh I had no idea this was a thing, it didn’t exist when I was in college although that was in Canada 20+ years ago lol).

For my Frozen friends, I thought I’d share that two of my nephews (both under the age of 3) are obsessed with Frozen right now, and both carry around their Anna and Elsa dolls wherever they go. Whenever I facetime with either of them they always have to show me their dolls lol

WIP Updates and Musings

Hello everyone! I thought this might be a great time to update people on WIPS that are in progress (mostly because I’m terrible at giving updates sksks) and to gage interest levels in these projects. I’m going to be talking about updates for Run From Me, A Dark!Steve project, and a horror/slasher headcanon sideblog idea I’ve gotten recently so if you are interested in hearing about those, click the read more!

Run From Me: In case you’re unaware, Run From Me got slightly out of my hands as of the last few chapters, simply because I wasn’t sure where to go from there. I was more than a little daunted by all of the comments telling me how much they enjoyed my portrayal of Thanos and my OC that to a certain extent I was worried about fucking it up. So, the reason for the long breaks inbetween chapters is because it took me a long time to consider where I should go, and get some time to clear my head because I didn’t want to just churn out chapters if I wasn’t happy with them or knew where they were going.

So what is my update? I’m still chugging along on it, and I’ve mostly been trying to decide how I want these next few chapters to unfold. I know how I want this “GOTG arc,” as it were, to end and I think I’ve finally made a decision on how I’m going to use the GOTG film canon in my fic. I went back and forth on a few ideas but ultimately I’ve settled on one that I hope isn’t as cliched as I think it might be. I’ve also decided how I want the fic as a whole to end, and while I won’t say exactly what my decision was, I hope it will be one that you all will enjoy. Working around the MCU canon is a bitch to say the least, and I think I’ve figured out a happy medium between staying to canon and saying “fuck it” and doing my own thing. As always, I’m so thankful and grateful to the fans that have stuck around and been patient in waiting for me to figure this out. Run From Me is a fic I enjoy writing a lot and it’s been a fun piece to write, especially with exploring character development and dynamics. It means a lot that people enjoy this fic that I thought no one would even look twice at.

Dark!Steve Rogers Project: Recently I had an idea for a dark!Steve fic after being inspired by so many lovely dark!MCU fic writers. To be honest, I’ve never been interested or even in some ways attracted to Cap, but the Dark!MCU community has given a new angle for me to see him as and honestly? It gave me so many ideas for a great psychological thriller fic. And also a way to flex some of my creative writing muscles to create a fic that I’m honestly shocked that it came out of my head, and hopefully you all will enjoy it as well.

I won’t say much about the project because it’s still a work in progress, but it will have elements of stalking/abduction/kidnapping. I’m also going to set the fic in an AU that while I don’t want to spoil yet, I will say is an AU based off of a horror movie I very much enjoy. Now, unlike Run From Me I’m plotting this fic out in its entirety before I even so much as write it. While I’ve never minded writing off of a loose outline, I want to keep this fic tight and make sure every theme and plot element is explored to their fullest and I can only do that if I plot the entire thing out. So you might not see this fic for a while but know that I’ve been working on the outline and bouncing ideas back and forth off of some lovely people that have given me so many good ideas.

Horror Headcanon Sideblog: So, here’s the deal. My hyperfixation from high school is back in the form of slasher/horror villains. If you’ve been following me this might not be new as I’m always reblogging horror movie posts of some sort or another and have a couple of fics with horror characters sprinkled on my masterlist. But because of the tumblr algorithm I’ve been finding it difficult when I’ve opened requests in the past to get any sort of slashers in my inbox. It might just be that my blog is kind of a fandom mishmash, I don’t know. So to remedy this (and to perhaps to have a cleaner blog for people to look at specifically for slashers), I want to work on a headcanon blog. No, that does not mean I’m giving up writing fanfiction. I want this blog to simply be for headcanons and perhaps shorter ficlets. I will still publish my longer fics on this blog and if any of them apply to horror characters then I will just reblog them over there. Easy Peasy.

Horror has always been a genre I’ve been interested in and I’ve recently been craving my favorite slasher boys again. I’ve devoured a ton of headcanons from blogs that I follow and enjoy but I want even more and for people to send me all of your filthy depraved ideas for me to fantasize and write about. Honestly I wish I had this fandom when I was a teenager because I would have been OBSESSED with it (to show my age, most of my slasher fandom years were spent on deviantART. yeah.) I don’t know when I will “officially” make the blog but I will soon once I decide on a good name for it and some icons/banners and organizing it before taking requests. I’ll make sure to post about it when the time comes so if any of you guys are slasher fans like me and want to request some headcanons you can hop over there and request them <3 I will start with a short list of charcaters and as I watch/rewatch more films I will add more characters to the roster as I see fit, and will certainly be open to suggestions on characters that people would like to see most.

Straight. But maybe for the right woman I could sway but wouldn’t go so far as to call myself bi or bi-curious though.

2. What are you obsessed with right now? 

Obsessively obsessing about my health and how to get well and failing it all. Oh and anime movies on Netflix.

3. Ever done any drugs?

I do drugs everyday. But I assume this is referring to illegal. No and was strictly no up until recently. I now take marijuana oil on a regular basis for pain management. Also being stoned/high is not pleasant and I don’t understand why people would enjoy that as a leisurely pastime.

4. What piercings do you want?

I want to get my ears pierced again. Holes have closed up, but currently due to my health that’s not possible. I can’t even enjoy clipons :(

5. How many people have you kissed?

The massive number of 5.

6. Describe your dream home.

It’s tiny in the sense it has all the space I need. A cosy tiny-like home. But not one on wheels, fixed to the ground. And it would be made of all natural materials, stone and wood. It would be unique and resemble something out of a fairy tale. It would sit a beautiful clearing with only nature to view in the distance and all the animals and wildlife would stay well away because I’m pretty much terrified of all it, 

7. Who are you jealous of?

Healthy, painfree people. I am jealous of past me who didn’t realise how lucky she was and miss her.

8. What’s your favorite show to binge?

I don’t binge any show on repeat. I’d rather look for a new show to watch or enjoy, there are so many. The last shows I binged in two days was Queen’s Gambit and Emily in Paris.

9. Do you watch porn?

Yep. But struggle with it because it’s overdramatic, unrealistic and would kill or someone to make porn with a decent storyline with people that can act. 

I prefer to read it if I’m honest or maybe just write it for myself.

Sort of? More like my other one I used I was known for all my slash writings in F1. But now I just hang out here.

11. If you could teleport anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

No where. The world is riddled with co-vid and well, I’m probably in one of the safest countries and I’m at risk of death should I catch it. So I’ll stay here in my safe bubble.

12. What’s one of your fantasies?

I wake up tomorrow and I’m not me. I wake up and I can take a deep breath without gasping for air, I wake up in no pain, I wake up and my body isn’t terribly scared, I wake up and can have a ‘normal’ life.

Nope and no desire too. Won’t that just hurt?

14. How would you spend a million dollars?

I’d by that dream house I described, set everything up to be self sufficient. Pay and travel to try every cure available for my diseases. And then bank the rest and live off interest. Or maybe donate it. I don’t want money and I don’t really want a lot of things.

Yep and it’s a struggle and am constantly fighting to prove it’s worth continuing. Oh and that’s a relationship with myself.

No, I suppose it’s more disappointed and let down by people more than angry. I’m working everyday on letting it go but it’s not easy.

I have always wanted one, but have never found something that I really loved and haven’t been imaginative enough to create something unique. The older I get though, I’m not sure I want one. I did for the longest time though think about getting a Ferrari tattooed on my inner wrist, but pleased I never did that. I don’t love the sport or Ferrari enough anymore to want a permanent reminder of that.

19. If you could change your name, would you? What would you change it to?

I am changing name actually. Hoping to action that in the next two weeks. I would have done it earlier but they closed the borders. I have a dutch sir name that has two words. It confuses every one, systems don’t get it, it has caused issues with plane tickets. And well I’ve decided no more and am dumping a portion of it.

21. Describe your best friend.

When you meet her for the first time she can be a little crazy and wild, and she kind of scared at me first because she’s so unlike me. But as you got to know her, the *real* her she doesn’t let people see, you realise how kind and soft she is, and she’s the most empathic person I have known. She gives so much of herself to everyone, thinks so little of herself and her needs because she’s one of the most selfless people I know. I love her more than most of my family and would do anything for her.

Is this followers? Uh most I don’t know what they look like? I assume they’re all hot!

23. Who are five of your favorite bands/musical artists?

Don’t have any really. My music is varied and is based on my mood and really changes around. And with most bands, I generally lean towards one or two songs. This is one of those questions I really struggle with whenever I see it. Will say however, have been enjoying The Beatles recently and a bit of old school stuff.

24. What are three places you want to travel?

Japan. Norway. Canada.

25. Describe your perfect Friday night.

Generally hanging out with people I like. Enjoying a good wine, some cheese, either playing some board game or dungeons and dragons, or watching a really good movie. Good company makes any night a good night.

26. What’s your favorite season?

Autumn. One because I think it’s neglected as a choice and every season should be loved, and two because I love the colours of autumn and the colours associated with autumn. 

27. What’s your pet peeve?

I’m sure I have a heap of them, but currently it’s people that have an issue with you and instead of being an adult and talking to you about them choose to silence and blank you. I’m so tired of it, I’ve quit being peacemaker in those situations, those people are no longer worthy in my book.

Uh... I don’t think anyone I know is super funny. Friends and family all have a good sense of humor. But out of my circle of life people I’m always told I’m the funny one, which I find the biggest joke ever. 

29. What’s the most overrated movie?

Can not think of anything off the top of my head. I will say if I think a movie is getting too much hype I refuse to watch it, whether all the reviews are raving or not. It’s why I didn’t watch Harry Potter for like ten years or any of the new Star Wars movies. I just refuse to be apart of all the hype and jump on bandwagons.

I’d love to talk to everyone. I’m shy to start any conversations to be honest and I think all the people I talk to regularly were the first to message me, and I love them for it.

31. Do you like paper books or ebooks better?

100% love an old fashioned paper book. The texture of the paper. The smell of a book. That being said, I don’t think I’ve picked up a proper book to read in years. I live in fan fiction more than anything or am busy writing myself.

32. If you could live in a fictional world, what world would you pick?

Any of the disney worlds, anything from the past, or verging on fantasy like. I want a simpler time not full of technology which I grow to hate more each day. The older I get the more I’m pretty sure I’ve been born in the wrong decade.

33. If money was no object, what would your wardrobe be like?

I’d build the perfect wardrobe capsule. Everything would be of high quality, not necessarily brand name and all the clothes would be sourced from ethical businesses or be handmade.

I like classic pieces, love the fashion of the 50′s and 60s and while stylish it would be comfortable to wear and everything could be worn in public (sorry comfy tracky pants).

There ain’t no coffee order. I don’t drink it. Sorry @leoni-speedyf1 I know how addicted you are to it, happy to buy you anything you like though :P

In real life? No one.

Not romantic. I have feelings in that I hope they’re doing well, achieving what they want and they’re all happy. I didn’t have any ‘bad’ breakups and all my relationships ended very amicably.

Rarely. Can’t with medication and condition. But on occasion I do enjoy a good glass of red. Pinot Noir is my preference.

45. What’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?

It was a few years back. I met this guy online and we went to the city and spent most of that time just strolling next to the river for our first meet up. Why was it the worst date ever? Well it wasn’t the location that’s for sure.

The guy had two kids, and I’m a firm believer all parents have favourites, though I have yet to meet a parent that will voice that aloud. This guy, had no qualms with telling me about this favourite kid, and that wouldn’t be a problem if didn’t spend just as much putting down his younger son. It kind of left me reeling and wondering how his son felt if his dad didn’t hide just how much he didn’t like him as a person. The kid was four and the reason his dad didn’t like him was because he didn’t like bikes.

And so the guy was a bmx rider so he spent the rest of the time on our walk just pointing out all the tricks he could do. He didn’t ask about me, only talked about himself. It was also lunch time and assumed we would get something to eat together, but nope, no food was offered. And when I suggested to get something to drink because it was so hot and we’d been out in the sun for like an hour, he just took me to a subway and told me to get a drink and waved me to the line. No offer to join me, no offer to pay (which doesn’t bother me btw, but this was capping off a terrible day), no offer to get food.

I was so happy to get out of there. Didn’t speak to him again once I had left.

46. How many people do you follow?

I currently follow 59 people. I don’t follow anyone that creates drama, and try and follow only people that post about F1 as that’s all I use tumblr for now.

47. If you could marry any celebrity, who would you pick?

Either Sebastian Vettel or Ryan Reynolds. Both are married though, so I don’t think that’s going to turn into a reality anytime soon.

48. Describe your ideal partner.

I want someone that shares the same core values as me. Doesn’t want kids, isn’t super religious (grew up in a cult like religion so I avoid it now), is on the minimalist side and isn’t someone that needs new things things all the time or is desperate to replace something the moment they deem it out of date. Someone that doesn’t live their life on social media. Someone that prefers simple things, someone who is kind and giving, and someone that truly loves me - and it’s the last part that I struggle with finding more than anything with all the guys I have dated. 

I am currently not looking for a partner, I am not in a place for a relationship and am fully focused on myself. And I am very content with that decision.

49. Who do you text the most?

Currently my bestie.

50. What’s your favorite kind of weather?

Clear blue skies and a warm day to enjoy the sun. But there are times when I simply love the rain, hearing it on the room, watching it fall endlessly and knowing that everything will be green from it.
