Idk someone suggested once (can’t remember who otherwise I’d credit them) that Soap would really be into cooking and baking, considering that it’s just another form of chemistry, and that idea has lived in my head ever since. It’s just another part of his character that no one ever assumes about him—he looks like he drinks protein and eats unseasoned beef patties 24/7 but in fact he knows what a Maillard reaction is and will only order butter from one specific farm up in the Scottish Highlands and god forbid you suggest he buy beef stock from the store
