Hi there!!^^ Welcome, and thank you for sending in your request!! :)

Ask and you shall receive, Mephone + Mepad headcanons!

Both being devices, I like to think Mepad and Mephone communicate by text pretty often!! Mepad texts like he's writing a work email, and Mephone spells every other word wrong and doesn't use capitalization nor punctuation. Mephone sends Mepad a bunch of shorts/videos/memes that he thinks are funny, as well as ideas for the show, of course. But it's mostly memes.

I like to think that Mephone and Mepad have their chargers next to each other, yeah? Pretty obvious conclusion to come to. But maybe one day Mephone's charger is a little closer. And then it's a little closer. And then just a little bit closer. And then Mephone is more or less snuggled up against Mepad's side. Mepad is his family!! Mephone wants to be loved by his family!! He wants that affection!! And Mepad, well, depending on when Mephone starts doing this he might be more or less neutral to the whole thing, but once he's really coming into his own and starting to feel, I think he'd like it as well.

There are some days every so often when Mephone is feeling particularly sluggish and slow. Every time Mepad sees this, he asks if Mephone has cleared his tabs any time recently. Cleaned up his photos, cleared his cookies, etc. He never has, and he always feels much better once he does so. He'd never remember without Mepad there to remind him.

Mephone probably felt a bit weird about Mepad calling him 'sir' all the time. I mean, he sees Mepad as an equal, and we hear him in the gemory flashbacks addressing Cobs formally, yeah? So I'd think he'd feel a bit strange about his only other (at the time) family member addressing him in a similar manner. He'd probably just get used to it, though. Mepad is very formal in general, yeah?

I think Mephone might have been a little disappointed that Mepad didn't remember any of what he'd told him about the show + contestants while he was still powering on. I mean, of course he wouldn't, he wasn't conscious yet, but a part of Mephone had really hoped that Mepad could hear him.

i wont lie the fact mephone didn't know the true extent of his powers before the finale is Actually Insane to me. That's gotta be a terrifying existential threat in its own right holy FUCK. Imagine waking up one day and in THE SPAN OF THAT SINGLE DAY learning that you CREATED everyone you've ever loved (barring some exceptions) and your own life is a hell YOU made. Literally everything ever can be blamed on you because suddenly YOU are the root cause of everything wrong with everyone. IN THE SPAN OF A DAY this guy went from being an admittedly traumatized Reality T.V show host to JESUS CHRIST to extremely traumatized and wounded (and also out of a job) average robot guy. I THINK ITS SO AMUSING AND ALSO VERY INSANE.

Something something him having nightmares of being a god again, of having all that power, being in a position of such authority and KNOWING IT, and all the things he could do with it. How he'd kill and disrespect and hurt others without a single care in the world because he was untouchable. In another world, maybe he IS just like that, but in this one, the idea now TERRIFIES him. I love (and have talked about before) the idea of mephone specifically avoiding leadership positions and not trying to take on more power then he thinks he's 'worthy' of because he's nervous at the idea of controlling others. And I think it holds really valid when you look at canon. Power imbalance has been the root of all his pain, be it cobs or himself. And that. Agh. Ough. Ouch. This guy.
