His heart swelled with love when he was met with the sight of Merlin and Gwaine snuggled on the bed, duvet pulled around their waists, smiling at him. Merlin half-sat on Gwaine’s lap, and Gwaine had his arms loosely around Merlin’s waist as he pressed kisses to Merlin’s shoulder.

Their clothes were strewn across the bedroom, and both of them were littered with marks of love.

“You’re home!”

I'm writing a fic with reincarnated Gwaine, Immortal Merlin and fresh from the lake Arthur, but I don't know if I will be able to finish, my brain refuses to cooperate, so I'm going to post some scenes that I like.

Context: Gwaine and Merlin are already in a relationship, Arthur returned a few months ago.

He’s always known it, Merlin loves Arthur and Arthur loves Merlin, it’s a universal truth,

But Gwaine also knows this: Merlin loves him.

Y’know what else he knows? They’re both idiots and it’s in his hands to sort this out, because Gwaine is getting second hand embarrassment at seeing them dance around each other.

He has to address this with Merlin in a very sensible and subtle way.

“You have a heart boner for Arthur, what are you going to do about that?” He said and let himself fall beside Merlin in the bed.

Merlin just closed his eyes: "why did you have to go and say it in the worst possible way?"

Arthur: Merlin, don't throw away a lifelong friendship for a one-night spoon with Gwaine.

Merlin: Okay, enough. We're gonna stop fighting. We're gonna lie down, and we're gonna triple-spoon like grown-ups!

I found a fic idea that was randomly in my phone about if magic was legal in Camelot. And now having developed it, this is what I have:

Ygraine was the one who sacrificed herself for Arthur, despite Other's explicit orders against it. She asked him not to blame Nimueh for it, and he did not.

Magic stayed legal. Nimueh became the Court Sorcerer. Uther blamed Arthur.

So, Merlin comes to Camelot sometime after Balinor dies (for some reason) and apprentices himself to Nimueh. He and Morgana are friends, but he and Arthur are nemeses because Uther treats Merlin like the son Arthur should be to him, and Arthur hates that he's not enough.

One day, on a hint, it's raining and everyone is miserable. Arthur and Merlin start fighting, and Arthur shoves him. The ground is wet. Merlin falls, and breaks his neck when there's a cliff behind him.

Everyone goes absolutely feral with grief. Arthur cops a lot of beatings and harsh words from Uther especially, but also from Gwaine, who was a knight thanks to Merlin and also Merlin's qpp, and everyone else in general.

That should be that. But then the land starts dying. Magic is withering and turning wild and uncontrollable. Uther has to summon a druid, because even Nimueh doesn't understand it.

The druids reveal that Merlin was Magic, and without him the land withers, even if the Courage of the people and the Strength of the land hold for now. They don't know that courage and strength are people, but suspect it. They also know that Gwaine and Arthur are part of it.

So Gwaine and Arthur have to go on a quest to try and find Strength and Courage to bring Magic back. Because they are both sort of dumbasses at times, the Triple Goddess gets involved, and fills Merlin in.

Throughout all of this, Merlin has been trapped in a kind of in-between because while he wasn't meant to die, he can't exactly be alive yet. The Goddess figures this out, and they figure out that they need to help. Except they can't help directly. So they pull in Mordred, and direct him. Except they can't directly speak or explain to Mordred, so to him it seems like he's going insane and he can't figure out what's going on. But he finds Arthur and Gwaine, and together they eventually figure it out.

I still don't exactly know what happens, but I think this'll be pretty interesting tbh

so. this is another mergwainthur

and it is just basically crack, um, merlin, arthur, and gwaine all just causing trouble. 

“Is this... Legal?” Merlin asked, looking to the king with a raised eyebrow. Gwaine snorted slightly from where he stood on the other side of Arthur. 

“When have you cared about the law, Merls?” The Knight asked. Merlin went quiet, tilting his head. 

He had a point. 

Arthur let out a loud sigh and shook his head. “Personal preferences to following the law or not aside,” he began, staring at the door they stood in front of as he straightened his posture. “I’m the king, if I say it’s legal, it’s legal.” 

“I don’t think that’s quite how it--” 

“Shh, don’t... Don’t ruin it,” Gwaine cut off Merlin, grinning wildly. The Sorcerer just sighed, rolling his eyes as a smile crept onto his face.
