behold it's the guy who won't chuckle, without and with drip
#knuckles the echidna#purp doot#funny enough the clothed version would be easier to port into frontiers once modeled#bc frontiers knuckles' model is divided into two main meshes one for his body one for the clothes#and transferring the weights will be easier if my model is divided in similar fashion#and i can hide like some safety areas of the mesh inside the folds and what have you#however. the first one would be Very cool to see in game#also yeah boom influence who would've guessed :)

WIP Saturday 🙋♂️
Been slowly gettin' back into CP77 modding and wanted to do some comfy hoodie :3
First attempt was a port from Marvelous Designer
Everything was going fine, weight was decent, but trying to get the materials right was fucking my groove up
Wasn't satisfied with how it looked, the shadows were unpleasant, and couldn't find any materials that I liked - so I ended up tossing it aside (didn't delete it! Might rework in the future when I feel better about it 👀)
Instead, I decided to work from a Vanilla garment!
Pics from Khagan's Clothing Catalog
I love this hoodie and used it a lot during my PL playthrough - tho it's way too crowded for what I had in mind, a simple, comfy hoodie
Even if I was able to delete some of the additional bits, a big part of it is actually baked into the main submesh (like a lot of vanilla meshes)
After my unbuckled Aldecaldos jacket I feel more confident tackling heavy editing projects tho, so this wasn't TOO spooky 👌
First thing first, I deleted a big chunk from the left top side and kept the bottom part (to keep the assymetry and natural flow of the fabric) then I mirrored the right side and connected everything to the remaining left side
Fixing a mesh up means I also need to unwrap its UVs again - AND that means duplicating, moving and flipping the normal map to follow the new unwrapped uvs
Same with the mlmask layers, but that comes later 🧍♂️
The original Hoodie has a bunch of additional meshes; the sleeves and hoods variants are on a separate mesh that gets called by the OG entity
I decided to merge everything into a single mesh, easier to handle for me in the AXL structure later 🔎
Regardless, still needed to move the sleeves and hoods to match the new fixed left side (since its a mirror of the right side!)
Now that the meshes are fixed both model and UV wise, need to re-weight it from the OG garment 🤚 That concludes the 3D part
AXL side, I went with 4 different garment ent and apps to handle the 4 variants; default (hood down, long sleeves), hooded, rolled sleeves, and hooded + rolled!
A fun lil detail with this mesh is that the hood doesn't have any garment support - with this in mind I decided to use the T1 - inner torso - slots to allow us to wear vest on top of the hoodie
😫👌 Idk idk it scratch my stinky brain really good HGHFH I love it
With everything ready, t'was time to tackle the FUN part; the appearaaaaanceeeees 🤠
I first had 4 designs with 5 colors each - but it quickly turned into 6 colors each; first design being the "basic" / default one, that I named "edgewear"
Gotta keep in mind that each color has 4 mesh variants, so that's already 24 items
I then used the beloved "orange leather" vanilla hoodie with the white barghest face on it (the one I used through my PL playthrough! probably my favorite tbh) as a base for my next design, "quilted"
It has a cute skunk ass hood 🦨
And I'm currently still working on a third design inspired by Varsity Jackets, the... well gfhhg "varsity" design
All of the appearances are still Wips and might change 🧍♂️
and I'd like to maybe add one more BUT... that's already 74 items, I don't like having too much options hgfh but dynamic AXL makes it really easy to just go apeshit with variations
ANYWAY I felt like doing another Behind The Mod TM post :3 some of y'all like them and I like sharing my modding stuff!
#cyberpunk 2077#modding wip#long post#ITS FUN ITS FUN I'm having fun with CP77 modding again 🐴#now that I'm comfy with heavy edits of vanilla meshes I have more ideas tbh#might stop porting for a while cause yeah not feeling it anymore atm#modding yap

ive had an admittedly shitty two months and my check was extremely short so if any mutuals wanna help out i will port a hairstyle (or try to make a maybe shitty recreation for you) to any game between dao and dai (theres no datv hair modding yet 💔) for $5 to $10 hmu in my dms
i can also do TS4 and am attempting to learn cyberpunk but i dunno how well that'll go 🤔
#text tag#caevat of course i need access to the mesh itself#and i dont port other mod authors' stuff unless you get the okay from them#im only doing those 5 games and only hair but MAYBE outfits for dai

I need to find more loose/baggy pants mods for Vaughn because I don’t care as much for slim fitting stuff knowing he has his leg cyberware under them, and I’m cycling the same few options a bunch lol
#also i need like more distressed and grimy options because this man should not be as pristine as he is sometimes lol#i know a lot of it is because most clothing mods are ports and retools of existing meshes but I crave dirtier versions of things#stuff to look into doing myself if i ever get around to it

[ID: Animated gif showing four test renders of a wheeled wooden dragon toy from the same angle; with each render, small adjustments happen to its textures, darkening portions and adding details like nicks in the edges of the wood piece that might be the dragon's eye or brow bone. The final render stays visible while hand-drawn arrows appear, with handwritten labels that point out locations of a knot, wear, dents, glued, cracks, and rings. Some of the cracks are visible but nearly everything else is obscured by the angle of view. End ID]
Getting some unique moments into the wood material, I'm aiming for subtle changes. They're supposed to blend well with the wood grain textures! But on the best of days I want a neon sign pointing to the intentional work I've done and that desire now is exacerbated by how precisely the test render angle I've been using hides the detail areas. Between the dents in the right wing barely visible due to a glancing angle that the glued crack in the left wing would conversely require to be spotted, the obscuring of both chunky end grain edges on the lower piece of the face that needed their ring direction reinforced, and that just-out-of-view hand painted knot near the back right hip...it looks like I'm planning some grand reveal. I am not.
#cj gladback#dragon roll#3d wip#3d texturing#blender#gif#well to be fair i am planning the reveal in that i've got notes on what i'll want gathered for my portfolio#still making choices about the main scene to show it off in (whether in a kid's possession or on a repair bench)#and how much to try to port to UE versus just sticking with cycles renders for everything with the full detail model#aside from LOD0 and LOD1 comparisons#still get to check if a tiny breaking of the symmetry in the model itself (chipping one eye piece where it lays against the snout in front)#is worth the extra work or just draws attention to the overclean lines everywhere else#and retopoing for the LOD1 version -- not doing anything actually low poly just the level where rounded edges are still good#but there's nothing extra that just had to be added for subd support#and technically I'm not quite retopoing the traditional way--may learn that I should have#but it felt like it was worth it to work from a version of the mesh where the subd modifier was applied and reduce edges#rather than try to build new ones that follow the curves perfectly#ramblings#tag you're writ

found an iron valiant avatar in vrchat a while back and was completely baffled at how poorly optimized it was. like 15 objects and 20 materials. when it could've easily been at minimum 2 objects and 2 or 3 materials.
but now i got the temptation to make some ultra beast avatars, and after ripping the models from sword/shield.... ok yeah i get it now. these things were NOT made with vrchat portability in mind LMAO i can only imagine how much worse the higher quality gen 9 models are to optimize.
#ghost town... 2!#pokemon#vrchat#basically fixing these things up for vrc is a daunting task#and i now understand why the selection of public pokemon avatars is relatively slim lol#like meshes and materials aside you still have to set up the rigs for them too#but i'm still in the process of fixing the materials because these things don't even port to blender easily lmao#also WHY ARE ALL OF PHEROMOSA'S EYELASH POSITIONS DIFFERENT OBJECTS HELLO?????#IS THE MODEL ACTUALLY LIKE THAT OR DID SWITCH TOOLBOX DO SOMETHING WEIRD TO IT

Honorable Ava Cadavra mention (from TS2 GBA, NDS, and Urbz).
strangetown fanatics are truly sleeping on these absolute icons, just saying
#its a shame the console sims games were so misleading for branding themselves as 'ports'#when they actually do some of the most interesting things with the lore#and tie in very well to the franchise in terms of character design and story#the devs who worked on these games just get it. they understood what sims was beyond a life sim#and they were all executed by firing squad before TS4 was made apparently#ts2#strangetown#her mesh is on models-resource

Features of Chain Mesh Fencing that Give You the Perfect Look

Chain mesh fencing is a popular choice for both residential and commercial properties due to its durability, security, and aesthetic appeal. This type of fencing is made up of metal wires woven together to create a sturdy barrier, making it an excellent option for keeping unwanted intruders out while still allowing for visibility and airflow. In this blog, we will explore the key features of chain mesh fencing that can give your property the perfect look.
One of the main features of chain mesh fencing is its versatility in design. Chain mesh fencing is available in a variety of heights and colours in Port Lincoln, allowing you to customise the look of your fence to suit your property's overall aesthetic. Whether you prefer a sleek black fence for a modern look or a traditional galvanised silver fence for a classic touch, chain mesh fencing can be tailored to your preferences.
Another key feature of chain mesh fencing is its low maintenance requirements. Unlike other types of fencing that may require regular painting or staining to maintain its appearance, chain mesh fencing is resistant to rust and corrosion, making it a long-lasting and cost-effective option for property owners.
In addition to its durability and low maintenance, chain mesh fencing is also an environmentally friendly option. The materials used to create chain mesh fencing are typically made from recycled metals, reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing new materials. The open design of chain mesh fencing available in Port Lincoln also allows for better air circulation and natural light, making it a sustainable choice for properties looking to maximise energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint.
Furthermore, chain mesh fencing offers enhanced security for your property. The tightly woven metal wires provide a strong barrier that is difficult for intruders to breach, making it an ideal choice for protecting your home or business. The features of chain mesh fencing make it an excellent choice for property owners looking to enhance the security and aesthetic appeal of their properties.

Do you carry any other fun and whimsical things in your purse besides the brass measuring tools? can we see them??
"What do I carry in my purse" is actually a really long answer! Not very whimsical though.

I don't carry a very large purse but it is actually jam-packed with stuff. Obviously the usual—credit cards, ID, badge, money, car keys.
But the rest is taken up by a tidy little lineup of things that are useless 99% of the time and crucial 1% of the time. Some of it (most of the top row) floats loose in my purse; most of the bottom row packs into the little bag there. My sketchbook du jour is usually carried separately.

So: top row:
Sketchbook and the little brass drafting tools, which I carry inside the sketchbook, and also a little metal ruler that has honestly become redundant.
Then, a bunch of pens and marking tools: A ballpoint, some pencils, paint pen, permanent marker, white gel pens, white paint pen, white mechanical pencil, and eraser. This varies depending on what I'm working on and what I've absently left in the wrong place.
Some lip gloss, hand sanitizer, concealer, chapstick, nail polish, and heavy lotion (clay dries your hands out SO hard) and a hair pin. Usually there are several sword shaped hair pins also; I took them out while working on a project and they'll migrate back when I'm done.
Headphones, a couple knives, and a tiny foldable gerber multitool. A little flat card multitool, with a heavy needed shoved into its case also, and a pack of clear sticky notes.
A two-port USB brick; I usually also carry a power bank but it's charging in the car right now.
My change purse and my wallet, which is just the IDs; my actual cards are in a pocket in the purse that also has a little nail kit. My car keys, which have a bottle opener and a combined window breaker-seatbelt cutter, a 64 gig USB key, and keys to my studio, house, garage, and the courthouse.

The bag itself is metal mesh, which means it’s durable but also somewhat see-thru.
That little tin is a tiny first aid kit, which probably I should have unpacked, but it's got bandaids, bandages, skin tape, blistex; antiseptic, itch, and burn cream; eyedrops; several small packets of common meds (tylenol, advil, etc) and a little folded chart for meds, since I’m terrible at remembering which can be taken with which; a breath mask. There's also a razor and some safety pins tucked in there. It's held shut with a hair tie.
There's some single-use earplugs and some zip ties, some more eye drops, and a tiny vial of liquid breath mint.
A deck of mini playing cards.
A tiny sewing kit--needles, pins, earring backs and pin backs, some heavy black thread on a bobbin, a measuring tape, and some foldable scissors. There's a couple glasses screws in there from before I had Lasik.
Another little multitool, some binder clips, a tiny level, a 120 gig USB, and some bobby pins.
Matches and a lighter, a flat pen, and coils of 20 lb fishing line, picture wire, and monofilament, as well as two short USB cords.
A tide pen and a glasses screwdriver.
The bag contains cardboard strips with several yards of tape: Electrical, packing, scotch, duct, gaff, and skin tape. Superglue. A spare piece of heavy cardboard to use as a cutting surface if needed.
An Xacto knife with the blade reversed (learned my lesson after jamming my hand into my bag and taking a chunk out of a finger when a springloaded switchblade opened itself) and spare blades.
Some more clear sticky notes and a tiny lined notebook for when I just need scratch paper.

My car actually includes two slightly different emergency bags—one for regular roadside emergencies (including emergencies in blizzard weather) and one for camping emergencies, and a bit more of an extensive first aid kit.
