I decided to alter the case and some of the punctuation, because they were literally just CapsLock-yelling at each other for the entire conversation, and as funny as it would be to see that depicted in this format, I thought there should be more of a contrast between Bill’s casual lowercase sprinkled with emojis and Ford’s perfect and proper use of punctuation.

Electric Dreams AU where instead of dreams, Bill connects with Ford through the computer Fiddleford made him

(Fidds thinks the pioneering personal computer he made gained sentience somehow and is now evil and seducing his partner! >:( little did he know that it's just a widdle guy from a 2D dimension trying to expand his horizons uwu

Based on the 1984 movie Electric Dreams, but I tweaked it to fit gf so much that you don't need to know the original source to understand the AU(but if you did, it's basically if electric dreams was a horror romcom)

AU where instead of kicking Stanley out, Filbrick has Stanley "kidnapped" to one of those shitty wilderness therapy programs for "troubled kids".

Stanley does not have a good time and at some point has reached a breaking point and he writes a secret message in one of his monthly letters to his family asking Ford for help.

And despite still being angry at him for the science fair, Ford immediately tries to find a way to break him out

Details in Stan's letter that still haunt me

(how long will I continue thinking about a two page letter that's technically not even that long because Stan's handwriting is fricking large? .....you don't need to worry about that.)

The bro code only shows up in the Lost Journal pages, and to me Stan's message feels like it purposely echoes Ford's "miss you" in the college photo (and for some reason the message doesn't appear in the website version of the photo?) ....or alternatively Stan simply noticed how distressed Ford was about this entire thing and wanted to support him in a way so he can be sappy but without the kids knowing, or both!

Stan's claim about the Oregon lottery contradicts what the Lost Legends website said about Tate McGucket's ability to predict the winning numbers!! ...but also breaking into the Lottery HQ is definitely a very Stan thing to do and it's not the first time small gags have been retconned

Despite spending most of his letter nonchalantly destroying him, the taunt about ripping a dollar bill in half is the only part where Stan is directly responding to Bill. Maybe it's the two of them having similar ways of thinking but it's rather specific considering Bill taunts the reader about it...

And after Bill spends an entire book calling Ford Sixer despite normally using a pretty wide range of nicknames for him, Stan then spends his letter mainly referring to Ford as Sixer, even though post-Weirdmageddon he tends to use a mix of nicknames. And it's not like he'd gotten to see Bill himself for long, let alone see him steal that childhood nickname (that is only used twice in the actual show btw!). Did Ford tell him what happened or...?

With all this and the website's "still on your mind" message, what I'm getting at is my tinfoil hat theory of Stan somehow seeing some of the pages the irl readers saw, even when it should be personalised to the specific reader, and he's been lying about it for some reason. Considering that the book flat out doesn't make an attempt at convincing Soos, I find it a stretch that whatever Bill was telling Stan via the book was an attempt to convince him either.

Wouldn't be the first time Stan's skimmed through a book and lied about what it meant to him.

(...Now I kinda wanna see a story about the family reading their versions of the book and making fun of it while Stan is improvising every single one of his pages and blatantly ignoring Bill's attempts to mock and taunt him)

But also I'm fascinated by the letters that only showed up on the website (aka the Soos+Wendy+McGucket+Pacifica ones). I'm assuming that Mabel had stuck them on after Stan's letter... but they were basically eaten by the book itself because seeing Stan's letter kick-started Bill's breakdown which takes up the rest of the book

It would be really funny if ABW!Ford tried to kidnap Jerk Ford's Stan. Heavy emphasis on tried.

Just him going like "oh this Stanley's Ford is a jerk, it's in his name, I have to take him away!" And is absolutely not prepared for Stan being VERY OK with throwing hands and going ape shit to get back

Yes, because the last attempt to kidnap Stan-PJC311 went so well.

Dimension-46'/ (A Better World) and Dimension-PJC311 both follow the same timeline as canon (Dimension-46'\), so Stan and Jerk Ford would be one year post series finale, around a year into Sea Grunks Era. I can only assume that ABW!Ford would be targeting Jerk Ford's Stan either because Jerk Ford has been cyberbullying him, or ABW!Ford has been doing research on different Ford variants and figured that if anyone was a terrible brother who didn't deserve their Stan, it would be 'the worst Ford'.

Now, Stanley isn't some blood thirsty monster unprompted; he's naturally kind and understanding. Seeing as ABW!Ford had no intention of causing him harm, he will try to reason with him for a while.

Telling him that what happened with his brother was terrible and he's so sorry that Ford has been stewing in this grief for so long, and wanting him back is perfectly natural. But his brother is gone, and trying to replace him isn't going to make things magically better, because even if he has another Stan it isn't going to take away the feelings of grief and loss that Ford has. A 'new brother' isn't going to undo the past.

If Dr. Pines of the Institute of Oddology does not respond to Stan's patient understanding and several attempts at reasoning? And he insists that he will not let him go home?

the more I interact with this part of the fandom (stancest/pinecest/pinetoast/related so-called "problematic" ships), the more I'm constantly just like... "i don't ship pinecest but i DO want them to be weird about each other (*immediately makes them weird about each other in a vaguely incesty way*)". so like. i think at this point i may have to admit that i do ship pinecest, i just don't really want them to end up together. they just need to be weird about each other, perpetually, for reasons neither of them want to examine too closely.

(despite this i do think they're gonna bang in the first incesty fic i write bc it's a time travel probably-pinesot4 thing. still figuring out the plot.)
