#mh: strangetown

I just made the mh guys in the sims 2 and put them in strangetown. So far what happened is everyone (except tim) has gotten a job, they meet their neighbors but one of the neighbors, vidcund started bullying brian to the point he made him cry. So I had tim pour a drink on him and kick him out. Then I had them talk to each other for a bit and tim had the want to flirt with someone so I made him flirt with brian to see what happened. It went pretty well and they ended up getting crushes on each other.

I thought my Beaker family loading screen is just perfect - Circe standing huffily apart, Loki grinning confidently at the camera, and poor Nervous left holding both babies

Dead Sim Walking

So, lately I’ve been creating Sims to fill up Olive’s “garden” in the new Strangetown I’ve been playing. The original has only those generic tombstones and since I’m a tad anal about details, I’m replacing some of them with ghosts from the original Sims 2 game. Plus, I need to create some for the town graveyard, because again, it comes with generic tombstones, and I like drama in my cemeteries. Which means killing Sims and plopping them down next to each other, so that they can continue their feuds into the afterlife. 

Anyway, this is the house where I moved a couple of Sims into. Originally, it was that tiny yellow house down on the main highway. Since I always renovated it in the Sims 2 to give my Sims more room, I did the same here.

And these are the Sims who live here. The dude was killed right after I took this shot. He’ll be going into the main cemetery. The female is named Rebecka Ebadi and is the twin sister of Jessica Ebadi who currently resides in Olive’s “garden.” The little girl was the daughter of Luc Smith - another one of Olive’s victims - but has been renamed Karri Ebadi and made into Rebecka’s daughter. For the adult female, I used Olive Spector from Midnight Hollow as my base Sim. Mostly because I went to MH to grab the 2 graves of Olive’s husbands, and after I gave her a make-over to become Jessica, I liked her. So, I killed her clone, but still kept her alive. Anyway, she’s out to get Olive because she doesn’t buy the shady story about her sister’s death. 

So far, I’ve made and offed 7 Sims for Olive’s “garden,” and relocated the 2 from MH there. In the original, her parents and her sister, Willow, and her spouse, Creon, were buried there, but I’ll probably skip those. I do have a Lyla Grunt Sim that I can kill and place there, so I may or may not add her. I’m not sure why the world builder didn’t add them to the lot since he did create them at one point to make all the family trees. He could have filled up the entire town with ghosts considering how many ancestors he created and killed, so not sure why he didn’t. But no matter. Since I don’t remember a cemetery being in the original Strangetown, I’ve been killing Sims from the game bin to fill up the new one. I do have to make some aliens to plant over by the science facility. Experiments gone wrong, doncha know! Plus, I’m going to get rid of some of the duplicate lots. He has duplicate rabbithole lots and that’s just a waste of good real-estate. I’ll probably add more bars since the Sims living here probably need all the liquid courage they can get.

But not today, since we are currently under a severe thunderstorm-tornado watch until 7pm tonight. No sense tempting fate.

Meanwhile...THIS happened.

I was busy following the kids around when I suddenly heard the OWOWOWO sound and saw the blue column of light, and when I had a closer look it turned out that JENNY WAS BEING ABDUCTED!

That’s a regular telescope

I have no abduction mods

She doesn’t have Summon Aliens (she’s a Family/Popularity sim)

I didn’t even send her to stargaze

Which means this was a 100% natural abduction, possibly one of two I’ve EVER had in my game!  🤯 🤯 🤯

Jenny was distraught. Although she loved PT9 dearly and had come to terms with the fact that he came from another planet and used to abduct Sims on his spaceship, she’d never imagined it would happen to HER! The bright lights, the mysterious machinery, the feeling of being strangely removed from her own body while vague shapes bent over her, chattering in their alien language...it was all too much.

Meanwhile, Jill met Desdemona Capp and invited her over from school too! Are the Smith siblings unwittingly taking sides in the Monty/Capp feud? This could end badly...

Jill: “Hands up and give me all your money!”

Desdemona: “But I don’t have any money...”

Jill: “I don’t believe you! Aren’t you the rich and famous Desdemona Capp?”

Desdemona: “I am, and you’ll be sorry for this, thief!”

A bit of a strange game for these two cutsey girls to play. I guess one shouldn’t judge based on appearances...  🤷‍♀️

The Smiths - Simply the most wholesome family in Strangetown.

Because adventurers needed to stay in shape, Trent decided a workout was in order.

A warehouse converted into a gym? How delightfully industrial! He wondered what that place had been used for before. Maybe some of the locals remembered? He should get Trish to ask around.

It turned out he was in a worse shape than he’d thought.

Circe: “Pathetic.”

Trent felt determined to prove to her that he was not a pathetic lightweight, and in fact could outlast her on the treadmill just fine. 

Unfortunately, he had no idea who he was dealing with.

Ripp was planning to keep his tattoo secret from his father until he left for college; he wore hoodies all the time anyway, and Buzz had stopped trying to get him to wear what he considered “proper” clothing long ago.

One morning, however, he lingered a bit too long in the bathroom, long enough to stretch the General’s patience to its breaking point.

Buzz: “Ripp! There are other people in this house who need to use the bathroom, what are y- RIPP GRUNT!! WHAT IS THAT SHIT ON YOUR ARM?!”

Ripp froze; he had never heard his father swear, and the look on his face was murderous. Fuck fuck fuck. His every instinct told him to back away and start begging for forgiveness, but Ripp was so very fed up of his father’s attitude. It was time to take a stand.

Buzz: “I asked you a question, boy!”

Ripp: “It’s called a tattoo, Dad.”

Buzz’s face went beet red; he didn’t abide backtalk, from his subordinates or his sons. 

Buzz: “Don’t you take that tone with me! How dare you deface your body like this! Have you lost your mind?!”

Ripp: “Whatever, it’s my body and I paid for it with my own money.”

The General looked as though he’d just been slapped; the silence which descended was deafening.

To top it all off, it started raining just as Ripp was leaving the Cowplant Centre. Great. Now the General would definitely know he’d been out.

His timing couldn’t have been better though; it seemed that Miranda Capp had decided to track him down after all!

Ripp: “What brings you to Strangetown, Miranda? I thought you were busy with your cake or whatever.”

Miranda: “Yyyeah...I decided I wasn’t in the mood for baking after all.”

Ripp: “What are you in the mood for, then?”

Miranda: “Sorry, I can’t stay...but I’ll see you around?”  😏

Emily was having a great evening; spending some time with a hot, charming man was just what she’d needed after being cooped up inside the Specter mansion for weeks. She was just about to suggest they went and found a room for the night when in walked a stunning redhead who introduced herself as Virginya Feng. 

You could practically hear the gears turning inside Don’s head as he gauged the possibility of having a threesome with these two.  😆 they’re all romance sims so it probably happened

It was great to have the whole family together for an outing, like they used to when the kids were little.

It was true that Johnny was a bit too old for Oresha Family Dining, with its tacky faux-Medieval décor aimed at kids, but it was a Smith family tradition so he didn’t complain.

Johnny: “And after I graduate, I want to visit Sixam, see where Dad comes from y’know?”

Jill: “Can I come too?”

Johnny: “I dunno, maybe? I’ll have to check the protocol for bringing alien visitors.”

Jill: “You’re just as ‘alien’ as me!”

Jill: “Dad, Johnny says he wants to learn Sixamese.”

PT9: “Yes, he’s preparing for a visit to-”

Jill: “I want to go too! Johnny says they won’t let me, because I’m not green, is that true?!”

Johnny *mutters*: “I never said that...”

Jenny: “Come on, kids, let’s not spoil the moment with an argument. Jill, I’m sure we’ll find a solution for you when the time comes.”

Jill bit her lip and picked at her food; she knew when her mother was dodging a question.

After they had all finished eating lunch, Jenny thought it was time to break the big news. PT9 had already suspected, of course; you don’t get to be a professional Pollination Technician and not be able to immediately spot the early signs of a pregnancy.

Lazlo had been feeling down in the dumps lately. His life seemed to consist of nothing but work and video games, not to mention his room was right next to Tycho’s nursery, which meant he was first in line whenever the crying started. 

Something had to give, and if he wasn’t careful it might be his sanity. Since he had the day off, he figured he might as well give Crystal Vu a call - even though there wasn’t much of a spark between them, he kinda liked her? Not like he had any better prospects.

But it turned out they had zero in common, and his attempts at conversation fizzled away into awkward silence. She didn’t even want to look at his mechanically-accurate model car, which he’d put together so lovingly, and had no clue about SSX. 

So, Lazlo didn’t even bother to say goodbye when she left, which he assumed she did given that she’d suddenly vanished.

Crystal: “Mind if I slip in next to you?”

Vidcund: “Um, not at all. But...I thought you came here to see my brother...?”

Crystal: “Oh, him. Sorry, I’m not into man-children. You, on the other hand, seem to be all man. C’mere!”

Ever since she got that bartending job downtown, Chloe had become accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the city, its busy venues, the nightlife, the constant inflow of interesting people. There was always something going on, someone to see and places to go.

For example, just the other day, Chloe attended a wine tasting event at a small art gallery...

...where one could rub shoulders with the likes of Pleasantview socialite and influencer Dina Caliente and Gilbert Jacquet, an up-and-coming couturier from Bluewater Village.

It really drove home the realisation that Strangetown was a boring little dustbowl of a town where nothing ever happened, at least nothing that interested Chloe.

 Her heart beat in rhythm with the big city.

Okay, so she wasn’t exactly what Lazlo had expected, but he couldn’t deny he found Mambo Loa absolutely fascinating! There was this woman - quite a bit older than him, true, but still good looking, with curves in all the right places - who could bend the laws of physics to her will and was not shy about doing so. For some reason, that turned him on more than he’d expected. Did that mean he had a GILF fetish? A thing for witches? Hell, did it matter? 

Mambo: “Y’know, honey, ol’ Mambo knows a few tricks that’ll put some real fire in your loins, if you have the stamina for it...”

Lazlo was up for the challenge (pun intended).
