BB: Haha, this is nice.~ You and I usually never get to dance like this, especially since you’d usually be performing or we get too busy with the kids or something else ends up happening. Hopefully Baxter and Namie don’t mind being the main parents for a couple months, haha!~
Michael: Haha, I think they’ll be fine. Besides, the kids are getting into their teens now so they should all be fine. Although, I can imagine Namie giving both of us an earful about how long we’ve been gone for.~
(DON’T FORGET, KIDD AND BILLY ARE OPEN FOR INTERACTIONS TOO ;w;)

And now for something completely different...
Choreographed by Michael Kidd, in the 1953 Vincente Minnelli-directed film The Band Wagon, "Dancing in the Dark," performed by Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse, is indisputably one of the top dance performances of all time in a musical film... the very definition of poetry in motion.

'The Band Wagon' – Fred Astaire goes to Broadway on Max
One of the great movie musicals, The Band Wagon (1953) stars Fred Astaire as Tony Hunter, a former Broadway hoofer who returns to New York when his Hollywood career dries up. He’s looking for a comeback and his friends, the fun-loving married couple Lester and Lily Marton (Oscar Levant and Nanette Fabray), have developed one just for him. When they sign Broadway’s hottest talent, enfant terrible…

IT'S ALWAYS FAIR WEATHER ( Beau fixe sur New York) - Stanley Donen et Gene Kelly (1955)

The subway dance section of the Girl Hunt Ballet from The Bandwagon gets more hilarious every time I watch it.
Bullshit happening in the background is probably the purest form of comedy cinematography. And when that bullshit is as magnificent as "Michael Kidd adds guns to the Crapshooters' Ballet", complete with rule-of-three hyperbolic death throes? Paired with the music getting more hysterical than Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet? Perfection. Kudos to the stuntman ragdolling down the stairs in the most funny way possible.
"Yeah, the NYC subway is just like that. MURRICA!"
As I said in the previous post, fractal build and release of tension is key, and we have that in this segment, as well. There's the overall (saccharinely) romantic swell, but the gunshot gags work great to puncture the way this is otherwise a dead ringer for the big dance duet numbers in other films I keep calling sappy to soppy. Which only emphasizes how much the Girl Hunt Ballet overall is a parody, that the film is in on the joke.
There's the parody element on the noir level, too, with The Blonde way overplaying her swooning but this bonehead idiot detective eating it with a spoon, while being so Stoic And Manly for how he can ignore the wanton violence happening around him. Not to mention if we go with an interpretation that half of these men are The Blonde's guys trying to off Riley, and the other half are just random guys trying to protect him For Reasons? Even more funny.

Hey guys,
So, while I did hear that the Kindergala has been extended to the end of November, I'm sadly hear to say that I'm considering pulling Michael, BB and Tempezt out of the Gala early this year.
It's unfortunately been a literal month since my last Gala interaction and I feel like that's probably a sign I should have these characters move on from the KG series and fandom as a whole. I'll still be all over KG 3 when it releases and I'll probably post art of Michael, BB and Tempezt on occasion. They just won't be associated with Kindergarten anymore.
I've given a lot of thought about this but like I said, I'm still considering on what to do. Figured making a post about it and getting some feedback might help me come to a decision.
But other than that, I wanna thank everyone who's been around in the fandom since the KG2 days for all the support for my old AstraySpirits AU and Time Guard AU with Tempezt. These charaters would not be who they are today without your guys support from way back when and for that, I'm really thankful for all of you :)

“Dancing in the Dark,” from the movie musical The Band Wagon (1953), one of the finest pieces of cinematic choreography in film history.
With elegance and style, Cyd Charisse and Fred Astaire demonstrate that less really is more, as they seemingly float above air, while they dance on a lovely summer evening in New York City’s Central Park.
Choreography by Michael Kidd.

My Rules/Guidelines
- I only write character x reader
- I’m queer, so feel free to ask for lgbtq+ content!
- I write for One Piece, Haikyuu!!, Blue Lock, and Tokyo Revengers. I might add onto this as I go, but I’m open to writing for almost any character from these
- Not spoiler free, but I’ll do my best to label for spoiler avoidance
- I take requests for written things here, and also c.ai bots (xoxo_hugz_nd_kissez is my user there)
- I don’t write for “dark” themes like stalking, non-con/cnc, incest/stepcest, etc.
- I’m okay writing for more mature themes (including mental/physical health and sexual themes), so this blog is 17+. Ageless blogs or minors: please refrain from viewing or interacting with any explicit posts, though my fluff/sfw things are free to read
- all mature posts will be clearly marked and labeled, so I ask that if you have a mature ask, please specify that first
- Please be kind when asking
- My replies may not be the exact thing you envisioned, so feel free to be as specific as you want when asking me things! Your vision is my vision!
- That being said, if I don’t answer your ask, please respect that!
- However, I get busy a lot and post in odd intervals, so I may not be able to post consistently
- Feel free to build off my ideas/asks, but credit me and the person who asked for/inspired the post if you do! I usually tag the asker at the end of my posts
I might add as I go along based off personal preference and asks, but if you have any questions/aren’t sure if your ask is ok, feel free to just ask!

Chip Kidd designed the original dino logo for the Jurassic Park hardcover. Crichton’s reaction fax to the cover design is priceless.

LMFAO I think the image on the site itself is probably Photoshopped, but it was too good not to post:
But I did manage to track down a direct source, and the anecdote itself appears to be true!
