All mickey 18 is, is the manifestation of parts of Mickey Barnes that he can't actualize on his own. All his hatred and fear and even rationalizing he compartmentalized came out with 18, and that's the only reason anything changed was because a part of him came out and took control and stopped letting everybody walk all over him.
