#mickey mouse design

I've been thinking of making my mickey design a bit more recognizable, ik my artstyle can give it away a little bit after looking closer at the limbs but it just feels like it's not as standing out/custom as id like it to be idk other designs and artstyle in the community are so gorgeous and I can almost always immidietly tell who drew what

So I thought about giving mickey an accesory of some kind and thought of a boa The only issue with it would be it being hard to draw with his extra poses sometimes ToT

I love the 80s DuckTales so much because I grew up with them, but I also love the 2017 series. What I love most about 2017 is how many characters from different side projects were added in there, and I saw a lot of fan designs of Mickey in this style, and unfortunately I didn’t find a design that I really liked. So during a break from Ninjago animatics, I made this charismatic mouse. Drawing in this style was surprisingly very easy! I used the “young Donald Duck” comics and, of course, Topolino as a basis for the design. Not many people know, but Mickey has a profession in many comics, he is a solver, and I thought it fits perfectly with DuckTales.

Now that classic Mickey is getting more attention, i think it's about time to talk about one very annoying design misunderstanding

Has anyone noticed how Mickey Mouse eyes are COMPLETELY misinterpreted in coloured version? 👀

He has a mono eye like Sonic, which was changed into two small eyes inside his pupils

Also for example, notice the placement of Minnie's eyelashes that went from her eyelids to the top of her pupils

Yet Goofy retained normal eyes for some reason

Does anyone know why it's the case? 🤔

In celebration of steamboat Willie coming into public domain, I made some totally original characters: Will and Petey!

Will is the captain of the S.S WILLIE (he named it after himself)! He’s pretty infamous for being petty, grumpy, and generally rude to almost everyone that he meets. He also has barely any social whatsoever, other than talking to his brother.

Petey on the other hand is the newest (and only other) crew mate! He loves his job and takes it very seriously, so much so that it usually gets him into a bunch of trouble (and Will has to get him out of it)

What kinda trouble you may ask?

Oh, you know… just your usual.

Sea monsters.

Pirates.

Angry customers.

When it comes to my prefrences Id Say that steamboat mickey is my favorite next to plane crazy, there both really expressive and you can just do alot with them and overall i think theres more room to play around with those guys, especialy since there from times where mickey was way more chaotic and was still seen by people as a character and less safe masscott

I don't really like modern mickey but I also don't dislike him, he's kinda like plain rice, nothing bad but it feels a bit meh

The only thing I could ever Say I dislike about any mickey design is when someone ignores the ears rule, it's just so uncanny and unnerving to see his ears not always to the top or side of his head, that's something that just icks and creeps me out

Do you guys have a preference when it comes to mickeys design?

I’ve seen dislike for some designs but I think it’s all about what you prefer and why!

I like most Mickey designs, it’s all the same mouse < 3
