Hello lovelies! I come back from the ether with several versions of a fun piece I just finished! This fall was absolutely crazy at work and between that and moving twice in the last 6 months, I have been feeling pretty uncreative lately. BUT as I was rereading “Forget-Me-Not” by the absolutely insanely talented @witchygirl99  the art itch hit me! Inuyasha did his best to swallow his quick temper and see things from Kikyou’s side. He understood how it might look. But Kagome had asked him to go with her, and in front of Kaede too, so  there was no need for her sister to be angry. Kagome was completely safe with him.

“I didn’t do anything wrong”, he said, doing his best to keep the defensive tone out of his voice. “Kaede knew where we were going. Kagome asked me to help her-”

“I don’t care what you thought you were doing!” she spat venomously. “She doesn’t need your help. My sister has a habit of thinking the best of people, instead of being wary. You’re a stranger!”

Hey archive, take your time on this one, no rush. I read a fic several years ago on Fanfiction.net. It was set after Naraku had been killed and Inuyasha had used the sacred jewel to bring Kikyo back to life. Inuyasha and Kikyo then got married and had like three children and Kagome was coming back and forth from the modern era to the feudal era. Kagome is still in love with Inuyasha and randomly begins to have these weird visions of herself and Inuyasha being intimate when they’re on demon exterminating jobs and that’s as far as I got. I remember Kagome describing his nose and his teeth in it at one point when she was thinking about his looks as well as her using deodorant and mouthwash so she won’t stink like the villagers lol random stuff I remember. Anyway sorry I hope this helps. Like I said, take your time I know this is probably a weird one. Thank you.

Modern Inukag on Shrine Steps - another piece that got trapped in the abyss of my old account, but now lives here on my new account!!! Punk/emo music I used to listen to when I was younger is what inspired me to create this piece.

This piece was actually the prompt for an AMAZING fic by @fawn-eyed-girl, The Walk Home!!! This art goes with the chapter that will be dropping tomorrow. Check out a little teaser below the cut!

Her phone. 

For the past ten minutes, Kagome had been staring at her phone.

It had taken nearly a full day, but at last, she’d gotten a text. A reply...from Inuyasha. 

Are ya busy tonight? Can you come meet me?

What did he have in mind? What did he want to do? Talk things out—kiss things out? (She shivered at that one.) Break things off—whatever this thing was between them—officially?

Kagome was terrified to answer him. She didn’t know what to say.

If she said yes, she could get her heart broken. If she said no, she could be the one doing the heart breaking. 

Kagome took a deep breath.

Sure, she texted back. When? 

The almost immediate trio of dots on the right-hand side of the screen suggested he’d been waiting for her response, probably for as long as she’d been trying to decide what to say. 

Great. 7:00.

Kagome took another deep breath.

Okay. See you then.

Snippet Sunday

Hey All!

I saw a post awhile back talking about writing your fic out of order and I had never really tried that before, but I decided to give it a go to help my chapters flow more smoothly between each other.

So, I decided every Sunday I'm going to post a snippet of something I've got in the works to hopefully keep myself motivated, and also to help build anticipation for posting ( for myself and hopefully the readers!)

The snippet for todays Sunday post is from my newest WIP "Storm Side" inspired by the collaborative piece by @neutronstarchild, @ruddcatha, @fawn-eyed-girl, and @mickisketch as well as the movie "Twister". They had made it, holy shit. Dust flew around the truck as they turned down a back road. She let out a long sigh, and as she kept driving her anger boiled further. How dare he be so stupid? She slammed on her brakes, the tail of her truck swerving on the gravel with the force of her stop. Her stormy grey eyes reflected in the rearview mirror, watching Inuyasha’s jeep come to a screeching stop behind her barely avoiding a collision between them. What the actual hell had he been trying to do back there?

She couldn’t contain herself as she hopped out, boots stirring up even more dust as she marched toward Inuyasha. “Oi, why’d you stop like- “he was glaring at her as he complained, dark eyebrows bunched up in irritation when she cut him off.

“What the actual fuck was that?!,” she shoved his chest, cause him to stumble back against the Jeeps driver side door. His jaw clicked shut in anger as he caught himself against the door, “Am I missing something here? I thought you’d be happy we got that probe off the ground and into the air!”

“Fuck the probe Inuyasha!” She threw her hands up to emphasize her frustration, “the probe isn’t important right now!” He blinked at her incredulously, she’d lost it. They’d spent hours discussing the importance of getting a probe into the air and now suddenly it’s not fucking important?

“What the fuck else would be important right now?!” He growled out, arms folded across his chest waiting for her answer. His anger waned slightly as he looked her over. Her cheeks were flushed, strands of raven hair stuck to the thin layer of sweat on her forehead, anger and something else that he couldn’t quite pinpoint laced into her normal scent. Was she always this beautiful when angry?

“You stupid! You’re more important! You could have died back there!” Her chest was heaving, breaths coming out in fast angry huffs. His eyes went wide at her response; he was more important?

Hey all! It’s been awhile since I did a WIP post so I thought I’d make one (with one of @neutronstarchild’s gorgeous banners of course)

This is a band/music fic that was originally inspired but Olivia Rodrigos new album but has taken on tone since then even though I do still owe inspiration to music of course! As well as I owe thanks to @fawn-eyed-girl , @ruddcatha and @lemonlushff who have helped me not only feel inspired but have given helpful insight on plot development in different ways.

The bickering was getting louder now as she neared the door, letting it slowly creak open she peered inside. What on earth could they be arguing about?

Shippou was reclined on the couch with his feet propped up on the glass coffee table. A handsome man with silver hair sat across from him with a scowl, his golden eyes narrowed in disbelief, “You’re delusional if you think the Conjuring is a better horror movie than the Babadook.”

Shippou continued speaking over him,“I’m not saying you’re wrong,” Shippou grinned wickedly at the man across from him,” what I am saying is that you’re wrong and stupid.”

Kagome choked on a laugh as her eyes darted to the man who was growling now, his gaze skimming over her. She felt her heart thump uncomfortably in her chest. What was that about? He straightened his posture and let out an agitated “Keh” in response, turning his gaze back to Shippou.

“Don’t stop on my account,” she shrugged,”but I’ve gotta agree with Inuyasha. The conjuring is definitely subpar in comparison.” Sango and Miroku both were chuckling now too and Shippou’s expression turned to a deep seated frown.

“Ha!” Inuyasha barked out a laugh in triumph and Shippou slid his feet off the table with a huff. Kagome let her bag drop onto the glass, “So Inuyasha, I hear you’re going to be our new bassist.”

“Yup,” he accentuated the pop of the word with a smack of his lips. He couldn’t stop himself from dragging his gaze up and down the length of her. She was gorgeous, and unfortunately for him she smelled amazing. "And you are?” He gestured at her with a claw tipped hand and she stuck her hand out to shake his, “Kagome, I’m the main vocalist for SaiSei.”

“Hmm,” he hummed thoughtfully staring at her hand, “you’re lead vocals?” His eyes lingered on the ring she wore. Damn, she must be married. Keh, why would he care anyway? His eyes glanced from her hand back to her face.

Her brow creased in confusion, “Is that a problem?” Grey eyes bore into gold, and he clicked his tongue, how many buttons does she have to push he wondered? An impish smile creeped onto his features.

He let his smile falter and shrugged with feigned disinterest, “Oh nothing. You’re just not what I pictured is all, you don’t really look the part.” He could see the gears turning as she’d registered his comment. Bingo. Button pushed. Inuyasha couldn’t figure out why he wanted to push her buttons so bad, but he wasn’t one to restrain himself. Besides, he was positive she would look cute when angry. Woah, okay brain, slow your roll. She’s married.He quirked a brow when he noticed the rest of group staring at him.

Sango’s jaw hung slack in shock glancing from Miroku to Inuyasha and then to Kagome. Miroku shook his head, must he always pick a fight? Kagome clicked her jaw shut in anger, “ I hope your playing isn’t as shit as your personality.”

He raised his hands in defense, “I mean no offense, like I said you’re just not what I expected.” He was smiling now, and Kagome huffed in frustration.

“Offense taken.” She accentuated the words, her eyes still locked on his. That uncomfortable thumping in her chest increased as they continued their staring contest.

"Are you always this insufferable?” She wrinkled her nose, turning her eyes away from him and to her bandmates instead, arms folded across her chest. Sango gave her an apologetic look in return. Surely this is not the same “nice guy” Sango had spoken with? Kagome had poured her heart into this band and the songs. Who was he to say she doesn’t look the part?

“Only on Wednesday’s” he said leaning forward with his arms braced on his knees, a fanged smirk glinting in the light. Shippou was cackling now, his arms doubled over across his abdomen as he shook with the force of it.

“Seems like you met your match,” the kitsune choked out in between bouts of laughter. Kagome huffed, “Let's see if you can keep up then hm?” She turned quickly, gesturing for her friends to take their positions. She would show him not fitting the part. “We’ll play it through for you once with the backing track for bass. Then you can try,” she said but his smirk never wavered, instead he leaned back onto the couch watching her every move with unspoken intention.

With a quick nod in Shippou’s direction the backing track pulsed out of a nearby set of speakers, and the group started playing, a mix of upbeat guitar and keyboard, heavy drums and the bass backing track steadily thumping.

When she started to sing, Inuyasha’s eyes widened but only slightly, his gaze still trained on her.

Her voice was melodic with a slight rasp to it, the perfect compliment to the instruments playing around her. She was swaying to the beat as she sang. Music was the one place she could escape, swept up in euphoria by the heavy drum beat.

She’d focused on looking anywhere but at Inuyasha, but as she felt herself being pulled away in the fast current of the music her gaze quickly swept over him. He was still watching her, but this time his expression was that of someone who was impressed rather than the nonchalant one he’d worn before.

‘Now your tongues got your cheek, and I’m wrapped up. But I kinda like it, yeah I like it.’

As the song ended, there was the sound of a slow clap coming from him, "Well,” She started, leaning on the mic stand in front of her “, think you can follow along?”

“I’m sure I can keep up," he said with a shrug, standing and grabbing the bass that he had propped up next to the couch. This time he smiled at her, standing in the open space to her right. He looked back at Miroku who was motioning at him to apologize. He rolled his eyes and leaned forward to speak into her ear in a hushed tone, “I stand corrected by the way, I suppose you do fit the part.”

She couldn’t stop the smile that broke out across her face,”Alright then, let’s take it through one more time.”
