also most of what ive been doing lately is 1) inking w dip pens and brushes 2) wood carving and 3) guitar and it like. all feels very tangible and nice and sustainable. its all wood and metal theres barely any plastic in my hands lately. and none of its made to be used up and just thrown out besides maybe pen nibs but its not the same as a plastic fine liner that u have to just entirely throw in the garbage. and w my guitar i look at it and think ‘Im going to have this forever’ bc guitars dont break. if they do u fix them. they are so repairable it feels like one of the few things left thats free from planned obsolescence

#and ig wood carving knives could break too but still they arent SUPPOSED to #none of the current hobbies involve buying a plastic thing and using it up till u have to throw it out #like fine liners and brush pens and markers which is smth i struggle with #i hate mixing paint but i also hate throwing out empty markers so like. paint pens r a necessary evil and i hate it #and id like to get into refillable alcohol markers but theyre so EXPENSIVE #idk its just nice using metal dibs that get dipped into a glass bottle of ink #ik nothing is truely sustainable anymore but. idk its nice doing things w my hands with no plastic #x #also i luv my guitar so much shes my baby #been thinking abt it lately i get emotionally attachvef to objects so easily #midrange basic electric guitar from craigslist? my baby. 13 yr old compact prius w a shitty turning radius? my baby
