Raids are so stupid. They aren't raids, they're Hide and Seek

I never manage to find all the "raiders" no matter how much I look around.

My villagers are perfectly safe, they never destroy anything apart from some crops in rare occasions when they are anywhere to be seen.

They just hide somewhere and stay there, never to he found. I feel like I'm playing Pokémon go.

Tim drake is the kind of person to play Minecraft exclusively for the redstone mechanics. Kon is building a beautiful thriving farm next to cassies half-built house (she’s trying to recreate the acropolis but keeps getting the scale and ratio wrong so she keeps blowing it up and starting from scratch again) and suddenly there’s Tim’s uglyass redstone plane flying across the sky. It doesn’t matter that the cows and horses are fake ok that plane should NOT be flying so low over Kon’s farmland.

It's so interesting to me that the Orb of Dominance has manipulated Archie in such deep ways that he truly can not tell how much of him is still himself. When the Orb is control, when he is in control, or when the Orb is just letting him think he's in control It didn't just grant him power and is threatening to take it if he falls out of line, it is literally changing his THOUGHTS. Making him truly believe that he wants certain things, and he has no proof whether or not he doesn't. In a way, it can literally make Archie do whatever it wants, by making him think it's what he wants

But when YUMI comes up as a matter, the Orb has no power. It keeps telling him how insignificant she is, how she will ruin his plan, and Archie Is Not Having It; he goes against anything it tells him

Like, I want to emphasize that Archie almost DIES in the first raid, because he went to find Yumi. If the undead hadn't been secretly led by The Nameless One, he'd be dead. And yet when they raid the village a second time, he's just like "Okay, attempt number two, gotta save Yumi"

And he even TOLD the Illagers! Not the full extent of it, of course, but the first time, he at least tried to be sneaky about it. But when they raid again, he literally orders his army not to attack her, not to stand in her way, and not to follow her. He certainly has their respect, but it's still an unnecessary jeopardizing of his standing to show that he has obvious sympathy towards at least some of the Villagers

His feelings towards Yumi disadvantage him as the Arch Illager multiple times, and she has made it very clear that she hates him, and yet the one thing Archie can consistently stand his ground on despite the powers of the Orb, it's Yumi

kind of uncertain about the bad omen change. if it was made specifically to target raid farms then i think it was a hella bad move. bad omen inherently is supposed to be a challenge thrown at the player and a consequence of action. making it optional removes the immersiveness of it. you will never be able to accidently trigger a raid again because you forgot you killed a pillager patrol 30 minutes ago. why ???? that was fun it added story and superstition to the game. why do the pillagers have mystery juice in a bottle on them now. what story does this add besides adding even more content to the already steadily becoming bloated trial chambers
