A Re-Introduction…

Hey guysss! I’m making this post to re-introduce my OC’s, Olivia and Angeliki, because i feel like i haven’t posted properly about them in a while and some things have changed. Keep reading if you’re interested!! 🫶🏻

Hair: A little below shoulder length. Black & not dyed.

Other features: Hairtype 2B, though she usually straightens it.

Family: Tori Blackwood (Sister) - Alexandra Blackwood (Mother) - Theodore Blackwood (Father) - Esther Blackwood (Grandmother)

Operative Outfit: A sleeveless black jumpsuit with a zipper at the front, a white hood tied at the neck, with a face mask that bares resemblance to a mirrorball. She has knee-high silver boots with daggers for heels that can attach and detach from the shoe. Also wears white gloves.

Brief Backstory Summary:

Olivia grew up alongside her sister Tori in Surrey, England. However, when a fatal accident caused the death of both their parents, Olivia and Tori (at that time age 10 and 16) moved to Romania to reside with their last known family, their grandma. Olivia’s life was extremely negative during this time; having to suffer through the worst parts of PTSD, trying to fit in at her new school and being submerged into a whole new world and culture was deeply overwhelming.

It only started to get better once Olivia met Ìsak when she was 16. He was the son of a successful fashion designer, and she soon fell for him. He gave her the illusion he could help her get away from her worries, away from the family he claimed were having a negative impact on her. So, in a moment of spontaneous thinking, Olivia ran away with Ìsak and his sister, Svana to France.

Olivia at that time felt like things couldn’t get better - and that’s when they started to get worse. It didn’t take long for Olivia to warm up to Svana, but it also didn’t take long for Ìsak to show his true colours. Manipulative, cold and critical: he gave Olivia a job as a model for his dad’s company, but soon found a way to control her through it. It was so bad to the point Olivia felt she couldn’t do anything, as he threatened her, saying he’d leave her behind with no money or job to her name. Though she wouldn’t break that easily.

After a long time thinking, she made her descision. One night, she successfully stole Ìsak’s money from him whilst he was sleeping, and made her escape. She booked a flight from France directly to the UK, back to her home country. It was then after she landed she began to work hard, earning money for herself and supporting herself without anyone else. It was also when she began her singing career, gaining little popularity at first but soon a surge of fame after a successful album.

It wasn’t that Olivia didn’t enjoy her newfound fame; she loved it, actually. But there were points where the stress and tediousness of the job got to her, and the mental issues that hadn’t been properly fixed within her began to eat her from the inside. She needed an escape. One day, she found an application form for a company. A company by the name ‘VILE.’ It wasn’t long before she joined, passed, and now held a second job as being a bodyguard for the Countess (they shared similar interests and is of use to Cleo, since she is one of the Faculty who travels the most outside of VILE island.) The job, to Olivia, was a break from all the paparazzi and reporters, flashings cameras and lights on stages. It was somewhere she could travel the world freely behind a disguise, where she could be a person again.

Operative Code Name: Nightshade

Gender & Sexuality: Biromantic Straight, Female

Hair: Natural dirty blonde with darker roots

Other features: Has a small scar underneath her right eye. She has freckles, and a pear body shape!!

Family: Nikoletta Spyridis (twin sister), Varvara Spyridis (mother), Vasili Spyridis (father)

Operative Outfit: A black-and-white jumpsuit with a belt & hooks for her grenades which are filled with smoke containing poison (hence the code name), black shoes and a white gas mask.

Brief Summarised Backstory (This one is still kind of a WIP): Angeliki was brought up alongside her twin, Nikoletta, in Mykonos. Though their looks may be the same, the way their mother looked at each of them was completely different. Their dad was working abroad most of the time, so he had not a lot of say in the matter. Their mother however…

It was clear she favoured Nikoletta over Angel, the ‘golden child’ and prime example in the family. Angeliki was always to blame for one thing or another, and never got a fraction of love from her mother like how Nikoletta did. (I won’t discuss in detail right now but her mother is one of the main ways she got her scars). Angel always was in her twin’s shadow, despite doing everything in her power to be just like her, desperate for approval.

It was after a confrontation between Angel and her Mother at 16 when she had had enough. She was to pack her things and leave for Japan, with a friend of her mother’s, a woman by the name of ‘Lady Dokuso.’ Angel gladly agreed, and though it was sad to leave her sister behind it was the best decision she could make right now. Though, before she left, Angel gave one last act of revenge to her mother for all the years of negligence by stealing the family heirloom from her bedroom - an intricate, silver necklace encrusted with tiny sapphires.

And so Angeliki moved with her now tutor, Lady Dokuso, to Japan to start her new life. She made some friends there, though as she was not in public school (due to language barriers) she was alone for a lot of the time. But it was okay, she preferred it that way.

As she became an adult, her view of Lady Dokuso began to change. There was something off about her, she was definitely more than who she claimed to be. It didn’t take much interrogation for her to reveal she worked with an organisation called VILE.. and also not long before she offered Angel a position. She claimed after seeing her all these years she thought she could be the perfect fit, how her innocent and unsuspecting nature would make her a great undercover operative.

Angel agreed to this offer and is now at an undercover VILE base disguised as a florists’ shop in Stockholm, Sweden. She still desires to find her sister, to know where she is and what happened whilst she left. However, the one thing Angel didn’t know was that Nikoletta now worked for an agency - an agency called ACME.

Extra: I’m thinking of shipping Angel with Otter Man - they would be so cute together guys just HEAR ME OUT ‼️

Hi! I am one of those people who thinks Taylor is actually straight. But if she is actually gay, why tf she can’t come out? She can most certainly afford to…she is hands down the biggest singer in the world. If Taylor can’t ever come out, I don’t know what will happen with Camila.

I know some will disagree, but I don't think Taylor Swift is forcibly closeted by her management, contracts, or any external powers. The only thing keeping Taylor in the closet is Taylor, and that's because of the insanely large fanbase she's amassed by cosplaying as the straight, all-American, good-girl pop princess.

Taylor has mastered the art of parasocial relationships like no other, to the point her fans are actually convinced they KNOW her. She's built her entire career on her fans thinking she’s a) straight and b) their best friend who would never lie to them. For example, she has always left Easter eggs for fans to connect her songs to certain men: the red scarf for Jake Gyllenhaal (All Too Well), the paper airplane necklaces for Harry Styles (Out of the Woods), and dark jeans and Nikes for Joe Alwyn (Delicate). Once fans discover that not all (and possibly none) of her relationships with men were real, they are going to feel betrayed beyond belief. A lot of her straight female fans would rather delude themselves that Taylor is straight (or even “bisexual with a preference for men,” if they’re super open-minded), because she’s no longer “relatable” to them if she was actually queer the whole time. Therefore, they aren’t ready to “know” her for who she really is.

Plus, Taylor doesn't want to risk disappointing her fans by coming out because she's way too much of a people-pleaser. She even admits it herself, over and over again. Personally, I think it’s a very sad way to live.

Therefore, it's precisely BECAUSE Taylor is the biggest singer in the world that she can't come out, because then she would have to fight the monster of her own creation (Swifties). You're correct that she'd be all right financially, but she also just achieved billionaire status. For people like that, enough money is never enough, so I'm sure that's another reason she chooses to stay closeted.

I've made my peace with the possibility of Taylor never coming out, but we just got a whole double album about how fed up she is with fame and celebrity. So anything could happen, but I'm more optimistic about her coming out in the next five years or so than I was before the release of The Tortured Poets Department.

the lore in folklore

My analysis of folklore

So ig we all know about the folkore love triangle, still if u don't, here's a summary (bcs this post will be based on that)

There's a high school couple, James and Betty. James cheats on Betty with another girl over the summer, lets call her Augustine (cs the name isn't specified anywhere). Later, James apologizes to Betty by showing up at her party. She accepts the apology.

Now here comes the list of tracks and how I think they are all related to this (except a few)

1. the 1: I think this song is from Betty's POV, after she finds out that James is cheating, but before the party. Though lyrics like Roaring 20s suggest that this is after they complete high school (or that the song is completely unrelated lol).

2. cardigan: We know this song is from Betty's Pov, and I dont think I need to elaborate on that.

3. the last great american dynasty: Though this song is probably unrelated to the love triangle, I still have to include it so here are my thoughts on it. This may be a song from Augustine's POV, but after they all grow up. Ig she kind of was hated by everyone after everything bcs Betty was probably popular (since she is throwing a party, which is attended by her friends and probs many others). She grew old, but everyone still hated her.

4. exile: Now again this song doesn't clearly fit in the love triangle, but since Betty and James weren't really very good as a couple (since he cheated on her) they may have broken up a few years later, and this might be a song about that.

5. my tears ricochet: Again, this doesn't fit in well, not even after i force it. so we are just gonna leave it.

6. mirrorball: I consider this song from Augustine's POV, before the cheating stuff happened. She is still trying to desperately impress James, changing everything about herself just to fit in.

7. seven: I don't think this song is related to the love triangle, (but i think it has a relation to 'dorothea', which i'll be explaining in a future post.)

8. august: We know august is from Augustine's POV so i wont explain much.

9. this is me trying: I think this song is from James' POV, after he cheats and realizes the mistake he made. This can be supported by similar lyrics in the song betty 'Betty, I'm here on your doorstep' and 'But I'm here in your doorway' in this is me trying. There are also similar lyrics in the song august 'August sipped away like a bottle of wine' and 'Pouring out my heart to a stranger/But I didn't pour the whiskey' in this is me trying. Both the lyrics indicating getting drunk with someone you don't really know, smthg that happens during cheating ig.

10. illicit affairs: now this is a song clearly from Augustine's POV, during the cheating stuff is going. Even the name of the song says that so yeah.

11. invisible string: Ig this is a song from Betty's POV, about how James and her are meant to be.

12.mad woman: again tho the lyrics rlly don't fit in, this might be a song from Augustine's POV, cs she is being hated by everyone.

13. epiphany: ok this song is clearly unrelated so I'll leave it here

14. betty: this is from James' POV i don't need to explain why i think

15. peace: this can be a song from Augustine's POV, 'i could never give you peace' and 'But the rain is always gonna come if you're standing with me' indicate that troubles gonna follow everywhere and I see Augustine as a girl always in trouble so yea

16. hoax: i think this is a song from Betty's POV, after she finds out about the cheating. (I also think this is related to champagne problems, which I'll be explaining in some other post)

So the basic timeline of the album can be:

so um uh guys

if i ever were to hypothetically find motivation to write a fanfic

wtf should i make it about!!1!1!1!1!!!!

I have two similar ideas, but i want other people’s inputs;

OKOKOKOK i don’t think i made my question clear enough so let me explain

If you pick Olivia & Angel Lore, you’d be getting the full story behind their lives. Each segment i write about them will be the most important events in their life, the fic will end once they get their VILE acceptance letter.

OR…

If you pick Olivia & Angel VILE life, you’d get the opposite basically. It’d be what their life is like in VILE, relationships with other characters, missions etc etc. Not sure how i’d plan this one out, but i’d be happy to write it if that’s what the majority votes for!

In the future i’m hoping to write both fics, but ig i’m just letting you all have first pick? Anyway pls vote, last time i did this i got 0 votes and i reallly need to decide pls and thank you 😣

Fun facts about my OC’s in their early stages!!

this might get a little long so keep reading if you like!!

• Olivia is my oldest OC, the first version of her was made around October ~ February 2022.

• Angel is the newest OC. She was made around February ~ April this year.

• Olivia name was originally Sonia, though that was scrapped when i realised there already was a canon Sonia in the series, so i renamed her to Song.

• Olivia/Song’s first code name/look i have forgotten, though i think it was something to do with chameleons and how they blend into backgrounds, so she was originally gonna be like this camouflaged character i guess? Anyway i changed that bc i didn’t find a way for it to work, so i created a new look for her. She went by Flare, and her weapon of choice was literal fire grenades.. (??) I thought that that was a little too OP, so i scrapped that too. Eventually her name was changed to Olivia and then her now name + lore came to me

• Angeliki was first made to be Irish, and her name was originally Saoirse (i think i spelt that right). However i didn’t really like that idea of that, until i was doing my Greek lesson on Duolingo (😭) and was like ‘Fuck it, let’s make her Greek’. Then i came up with the rest of her lore. Her agent name has always been Nightshade though.

• Olivia was originally made to be best friends with Graham, since around 2022 he was my abseloute favorite character/comfort character, buuut i guess that kinda went away over time 🤷‍♀️

• I got the idea for Olivia’s current character whilst listening to music in the car, which i still do now and it helps a lot with making lore and stuff i guess ^^

• In Olivia’s early stages she was based HEAAAVILY off of Velvet from that Trolls 3 movie 😭😭 cause it was around december the time i re-made her and that movie was trending then. Even now some of her personality traits are similar to that of Velvet’s though

I’m currently thinking about a design change to Olivia’s VILE outfit, so if i ever get the confidence to sketch it then i will. Thanks for reading, i know i get boring sometimes so just uh yeha thanks 😿😿

CS OC WEEK DAY THREE: RELATIONSHIPS

Angeliki:

Family: Angel has a sister, Nikoletta Spyridis, and her parents Vasilis and Alexandra. She doesn’t know of any cousins or grandparents.

Mentors: Lady Dokuso, until she was sent away to VILE Island.

Friends: She got on well with Paperstar, Moose Boy and Mime Bomb. I guess her and Olivia would also be friends lol

Romantic Partners(?): Not really sure if she would be too interested in dating, but i’d imagine Moose introduced her to Otter Man one day and sparks mayy fly 👀

Olivia:

Family: Olivia has a sister, Tori Blackwood who has a fiancé (name tbd). She doesn’t remember much of her parents but knows their names - Natalie and Mark Blackwood.

Mentors: probably the Countess, teacher her how to be a ‘proper lady’ although she’d spend a lot of time with Coach Brunt on her combat skills.

Romantic Partners(?): I’d like to think there could be something between her and Dash, but then again he is like insanely fruity so i’m not sure. Plus not everyone needs a romantic partner anyway.

CS OC WEEK DAY ONE: INTRODUCTION

Introducing — Olivia Blackwood

(Yes there is no drawing of her, i have no drawing skills and have never touched a digital paint app. Use your imagination!)

Full name - Olivia Mae Blackwood, but she also goes by Liv

Code name - Mirrorball

Birth Date - 9th of October

Age - 21 (I’m guessing)

Sex and/or Gender - Female, she/her/hers

Sexuality - Bisexual

Looks: Mid length straight black hair (type 1b), dark green eyes and a slim figure. She has no scars, and she is quite pale.

Height: 5’11

Weapons: The only weapons she have to fight with are on her feet - she has thigh-high heeled boots, but the heel is actually a knife blade that can be taken out (But she rarely does)

Backstory:

Olivia grew up in the north of England, with her sister, Tori, and her parents. When Olivia was 7 years old (Tori being 14) both of their parents were killed in an accident. Becoming orphaned immediately, Tori and Olivia moved to live with their grandmother. Olivia’s life there was boring. As she aged, she became tired of being ignored. She knew she should be out there, in the world. Which is why on the night of her 18th birthday, she left behind her past life for good. After an interview with VILE, she became the operative now known as Mirrorball. Her job is not like the others- she was taken in because of her natural ability to fight.

(Please note - her lore is still unfinished, there’s a lot of plot holes and it needs tweaking! I haven’t really got much of a story now, other than she becomes Countess Cleo’s personal bodyguard. After VILE’s downfall, she becomes a singer/songwriter , since she was never big in the corporation no one would have noticed she had previously worked for VILE.)

CS OC WEEK DAY FOUR: TRADGEDY

(The song tragedy is now stuck in my head 😭😭)

Olivia might seem like to others she’s perfect - but she’s far from it. Her life was normal growing up in the south of england, till she was seven years old. It was a normal day, Tori and Olivia walking behind their parents as they came to a road. Olivia’s shoe laces had become undone so Tori stayed behind to lace them, unbeknownst to their parents as they crossed the street. The next thing they heard was a shriek and a screeching of tires.

The driver sped off, and justice was never served.

From then on, they were in their grandmother’s care. Still dealing with the trauma and grief, you’d think the two sisters would be close, but they weren’t. Before reuniting with her sister later on in her life, Tori almost never spoke to Olivia and turned a cold shoulder most of the time. This along other reasons was the tipping point for Olivia, and just before her 18th birthday she left home for good, after finding an advertisement for a ‘training academy’.

Olivia still bottles up her emotions, feeling like she’s not close with anyone to discuss them openly.

Angel’s parents are still alive; though it dosent make a lot of difference to her now. She can’t remember the last time she spoke to them. This is because growing up, her twin sister was the golden child, the favourite, for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Her sister Nikoletta didn’t see the difference in how they were treated, and just assumed her and Angel were close. This was partially true - Angel would always talk to her, get to know her as much as possible so she could be just her her sister. Angel had always been insecure about the mole under her left eye. It was the only thing that differentiated her from Nikoletta.

One day, set on becoming a literal clone of her sister for just a little respect from her parents, she grabbed a blade and cut her cheek to the point where the mole was no longer there. Being only young when she did this, she didn’t know the skin would scar.

Angel still gets uncomfortable when people mention her scar, and she says she prefers to not talk about it.

OC tober week 2 prompt 1 — ‘answer q&a questions about them’

I couldn’t find many ‘basic’ questions so these may be a little silly but ah well

‘Do they like to cook?’

Angeliki — she may not be the best cook but she loves cooking for herself and other people. (Plus greek cuisine is just chefs kiss 💋)

Olivia — she doesn’t like to cook much with the excuse that she’s bad at cooking, but she’s actually quite decent.

‘What are they afraid of/their phobias?’

Angeliki — used to have atelophobia (fear of imperfection) but she got over that. Now she has herpetophobia (fear of reptiles) for like no reason.. snails also freak her out which is ironic since she loves tending to flowers and gardening.

Olivia — has vehophobia (fear of driving a car) due to trauma related reasons. Had a fear of cats for like the longest time until she got forced to go to a cat cafe and spent all her time petting them. Though she was totally freaked out at first.

‘What are their bad habits?’

Angeliki — she sometimes switches to greek mid sentence and expects you to understand. Usually because she’s still learning english and forgettable one words sometimes.

Olivia — sometimes she judges people a little too harshly without thinking about it, then regrets it later. Sometimes she apologises, but most of the time she’s too stubborn to.

‘Are they usually sarcastic?’

Angeliki — only if she’s talking to someone she knows well, and it’s never to be hurtful.

Olivia — I don’t know, is she? (On a serious note though she is veeery sarcastic even to complete strangers if they piss her off)

‘What’s their ideal night out?’

Angeliki — she loves beach trips, especially beach front restaurants that have a really nice view over the sea.

Olivia — loves sitting at fancy dinners, events, galas, anything that she dress up for honestly.
