Oh thank god it's not just me. Like I watched The OC and I was going in it to like Marissa and I couldn't and I didn't know why, whether it was the writing or the acting. Like I didn't say at the time she can't act, but something didn't click and she didn't have chemistry with Ryan(?) and I rather watched Summer who I didn't really like in the beginning. But also I felt I was in a minority since the show didn't last long after her exit.

Yeah she’s really not good, but you really don’t see a lot of shows that don’t take a huge dive if their literal leading lady or leading man leave the show. Honestly even as a youth I was like damn, this girl is really not great at the whole acting thing in any way, shape, or form.

Different anon: The Mischa stuff almost reminds me of Shannon Doherty, but at least she can act. I think the issue is Mischa let the success of the OC go to her head and make her think she was more talented than she actually was. I can't find any bad press about her time there, like why she chose to leave aside from thinking she was done with the character. Maybe there was issues bts, but she really should have had people around her to say she wasn't better than a teen show.

Yeah to be honest I think it got to her head too, which is understandable if you’re super successful that young but it’s just a really bad idea to bounce as soon as you hit it big with something. But if I recall correctly there were also at least rumors that she was abusing a lot of substances too.

When did mischas voice get so deep? She sounds different to when she was in the oc.

I would guess it’s because of smoking long term.

I did watch the O.C. and yeah…but neither is Phoebe Tonkin and she manages to keep getting work lol. I would think Misha could at least manage a gig on a cw show. I don’t really know all the drama with her. I know her character was killed off and since she hasn’t really worked. I think there was a drug issue, but she seems to have her shit semi together. I just don’t get why she would go for The Hills unless there were zero options.

LOL I mean facts, but I think it’s probably the combination of being a bad actor, having a reputation of being unreliable and difficult to work with, plus that she kind of had a “moment” but that moment was about a decade ago and the momentum of her career hit kind of a dead halt once she quit. Also not that anyone shouldn’t quit their job if they’re unhappy, but The OC was doing really well and then kind of took a dive after she left, and being known as a leading lady who left her show and kind of tanked it is not the thing you want to be known for.

I’m very confused about Misha being on The Hills. I know she hasn’t acted in a long time and I’m assuming she’s trying to get buzz around her name again, but I would think a show on E! would be more in line with her than MTV. Plus if it’s just about working why not have your agent work to get you auditions on a cw show? I’m confused at her going for this. Is she blackballed in Hollywood that even the cw wouldn’t hire her?

She has had a rough go of it for a while now, but to be frank like... did you ever watch The OC? She’s really, really, really not a good actor.
