Just rambling

Pondering on leaving Instagram now as well because of Meta starting to train their AI with content they have under their owned titles (all of them), and you need to fill a some sort of paper if you do not consent to it. I'm frustrated, but it wouldn't be that big loss to delete my account on Instagram if I decide to do so. From tumblr I'm not yet leaving and Bluesky is another place to find me. (But my content there is much more n.s-f.w and g-a-y , so I won't share the link to it.) I'm not really drawing YB that much as I used to. I fondly remember the time when I first time discovered YB... I drew him everyday. it was so insane speed but I loved it and I miss it so much, now I more likely doodle him so this account (Fanartdome) is more like a ghost town until I draw something I want to share on it. Gonna be honest I’m always confused by posts that say something to the effect of “you have to be friends with *insert demographic* because if you don’t, when conservatives want you to hate/be scared of *demographic*, you will believe them”

Like, yeah! By all means befriend *demographic*! But do it because you want to befriend the person, not out of some sort of moral obligation or just because they’re part of *demographic* cause that’s literally tokenizing.

Plus, you can’t possibly befriend all the different groups that conservatives want you to be scared of. Like, the solution to falling prey to conservative rhetoric shouldn’t be “you have to know *demographic* on a personal level” but instead “you have to be able to empathize with someone even if you do not personally know them, and/or exercise critical thinking especially when met with general assertions about an entire group of people”.

I feel like it’s ridiculous to assume that just because someone isn’t personally friends with *demographic*, they will automatically hate them when given the option, and there’s no way to change that
