My only input on the "we are tired of people making trans masc characters subby twink bottoms" disc horse I keep seeing is - you *can* have transmasc bottoms! We do absolutely exist, like, I personally actually get dysphoric when people think I should wanna wear a strap and top them. Just mix it upppp. If you want him to be a bottom try also making him fat! Or beefy! Or hairy! Or dominant! Yes I am a bottom but since I am not a twink I don't see (almost) anyone but me making transmasc bottoms I can actually relate to :p

Professor 🙋‍♂️ I have an observation to share that I admit I haven't noticed before. You mentioned that Autiomaa first and second half of the song sets the theme apart from past to now with a different style of singing. Now that I listen closer, he's doing that with other songs too: RTG, Takavoltti, Kot Kot, S=M, etc.. second part tends to be either more 'shouty' or in slightly different voice tone. And I am absolutely eating it upppp :V

you are my favourite student for bringing this up. you get an A++ 💚

alright class, gather 'round. we're going to be talking about his vocal abilities, vocal styles and techniques and how he uses them to elevate songs and build different levels into them.

something you will often hear as criticism towards käärijä is that he's not a technically skilled singer. i have a friend who likes to remind me everytime we talk about eurovision 2023, that käärijä didn't get jury points "because he can't sing". but it's not that simple.

while clean melodic singing is not his strength, and it's true his vocal performance in the singing part of CCC was perhaps not the strongest on the ESC stage, up against a lot of technically skilled singers, what he does does actually take skill and it is not something just anyone could do at the drop of a hat. and if esc juries had actual vocal experts in them, instead of just radio pop producers, they might actually recognise that, but that's another rant for another day lmao.

you've all probably heard multiple CCC covers by now. how often do singers covering CCC sound comfortable doing all that? and how often do they sound like simply getting as low as he can go is a struggle? to hold on to that quality of voice, keep the volume and the breathing steady, and stick to basically one single note, and do all that live? that. takes. skill. there's a reason he isn't moving much in ccc live performances during the verses - he needs his body focused on producing the sound.

and CCC is a great example of him using different vocal styles to elevate the song. the first verse is in that low voice, then we get to the chorus, which is in a higher, more shouty voice - different textures! contrast between the sections! and then back to the low voice - but behold! the higher voice comes back now, for the second half of the verse, as the tempo of the rapping picks up. we're kicking into a different gear, and he is highlighting and emphasising that with a different vocal take. the song is going somewhere that sounds both new and familiar and that is sooooo important in a song like this, that is trying to make a big impact in a short amount of time. we're going somewhere new but the song isn't going to lose us, because we already know these elements - we heard these lyrics before, we heard this voice before, but it's something a little bit different know. the vibe is new and something else is coming!

and so after the second chorus we get to the melodic singing - again, a new vocal style! and then the softer part - again, a new vocal style! these aren't dramatic changes, but just enough to build the song and to familiarise us with these new sections, that will repeat, for us to feel and experience them again. brilliant songwriting and brilliant use of vocals!

you mentioned ready to go in your ask and that is an eeeeeexcellent example of his use of vocal styles, i could DIE! let's look at the choices here, they are delicious.

the thing to recognise about many käärijä songs is that ultimately, they are made up of quite simple ingredients. they aren't super complicated instrumentally a lot of the time, so if you look at ready to go, the musical elements in each section are, at the end of the day, quite simple. which is not unusual for the genre! so he brings a LOT into the mix with his different vocal styles, making the songs feel like they keep moving forward and building.

ready to go starts with one vocal style: quite a low and monotone voice, except lines start with a sort of a mechanical squeal in the voice. and it's quite a funny voice actually, it doesn't sound like a natural speaking voice. then we get to the pre-chorus: "oh, oh no, vaikka meikit valuu nii ei lopu show" part, and the voice is different. it's more of a singing quality, but still quite low. 

and then we get to the part that i'm sure everyone has realised is my favourite by now: "sä haluut nähä ku mä flomaan taas ojaan kuraiseen, hei baby i'm ready to go". there's no beat, there's just a synth-y carpet of a background, and he goes over it with quite a breathy tone, much higher than before. it's quite a flirty sound, on purpose i think. obsessed!

now! second verse! he could go back to the same voice he used in the first verse, but he doesn't. the song has moved on from that, it needs another layer to stay interesting. there is a change in the music as well, the palm muted guitar is now there for the whole verse, but the most noticable change is in his voice and the intensity. it's higher and sharper. 

he dips back into the lower voice for the pre-chorus, but that works in his favour, because going back down there, in the area we already know and are familiar with, allows the chorus to kick in hard when it does.

and this chorus is in full blast, the beat is there the guitar is there, and his voice is not so soft and breathy anymore. overall the voice is much sharper, much more resonate, much more engaged.

and then the song calms down again with "mä haluun ajaa tosi kovaa, vaik pelti kolisee, hei baby i'm ready to go" and he isn't quite as breathy and flirty as he was with the very first "sä haluut" part - because that wouldn't fit this part anymore. he has to go from here directly back into the full chorus at full blast. so he is softer, but not too soft - just the right style to calm it down and then jump back in.

he actually does know what he is doing vocally, even if he isn't one to belt like celine dion, you know?

and one more thing! i know how much people love his growly shouty voice - as heard in sex = money (tein onlyfans bagin section) or the last verse of yhtä vailla and many more. THAT takes technique to be able to do it so consistently and to be able to control the volume as he does. our beloved growly shouty vocals are actually a true testament of the fact that he is skilled with his voice. i'd like to see the best melodic singers do what he does for a song and see how well they do. because what he does is not easy.

now go forth class and find different vocal styles and textures in his songs! he is a vocal wizard and i love him for it. he is so flipping interesting to listen to.

1: DulcieEddie yes these are separate characters but they are a package deal to me. Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe. They are sooo so dear 2 me. I love how they mirror each others baggage I love that Dulcie is stuck in place while Eddie has just been violently ripped from her community I love their dynamic I love them Im crazy about them im. Insane im insane imm crazy im insane. AHQSJdkcwavsyuhvjnbs hzkdvl WATCH DEADLOCHHHH! WATCH IT NEOW !!!!!! (Honestly if this list was longer I’d name like half the characters on Deadloch LOL so many insanely well written female characters on that show)

She keeps trying to fuck powerful insane women. She briefly becomes God in an alternate universe. Her life sucks. I hate her. She dies via gay sex no thats not a joke she actually legitimately dies from gay sex. Im not kidding.

She also kills a Mind Dog and admits to it in her fucked up little villain theme song and it’s incredible.

3: Marcilleee….bbbygirl u r so fucked uop. I love her as a mixed girl and I love her even more as a woman with a vague inferiority complex. I like that she is canonically a teacher. I love a lot of things about her. I could write essays on Marcille she is genuinely such an interesting and nuanced character but that’s not what this list is so I’ll save that for a comic or smth. ANYWAYS. I love Marcille so much.

4: Falin Touden sure lets put the dunmeshi ppl right next to each other. I love Falin. Falin is so interesting and a lot of her is inferred bc her ass is dead most of the time. But everything we know about her paints such an interesting picture. Also she’s really cute to me. Sorry I know it seems like I have less to say, I have a lot of thoughts on Falin but they’re difficult to put into words. I think I like her so much bc I really relate to her narrative arc being centred around other characters inability to see her as an adult, and her finding the confidence to assert herself as one.

also bc of this page. Most important Falin page imo, it completely changes everything we know about her. Like its one of the few real glimpses we get into her inner world, and its dark. Girl has got trauma for days but u know she doesnt think she has any at all.

5: Teruhashi Kokomi. Jdhjhj Ough. So many characters I wanna put here. But I think I have to put her. I luv Teruhashi so much , I mostly talk about her on my side blog for saiki k stuff but I really love Teruhashi. She’s fascinating and also she is sooooo fucked upppp! her insane twisted sense of self is my favorite thing about her. Also her hatred of children.

so I saw your post on rating the different Callie outfits and saw your different critiques on Hypno Callie’s outfit. And I redesigned it a tiny bit… (sorry about the long gloves my personal bias kicked in)

Multiple variations cause yeah! Again I’m sorry for immediately coming back with more things but since it’s Callie I hope you can forgive me ;w;

I didn't expect someone to actually do an edit of my ideas holy shit.

I will say tho, if you take a look at the final design for Hypno Callie, she has these glittery leggings that aren't in the concept art version. I meant that sort of dark purple/pink mix material on her body because I think it would have a flow to the design which is also complemented by the shades too.

The bright pink midsection is kind of jarring because it isn't complimented by the leggings. Basically, combine the bigger shorts, have them curve slightly, and include the glittery texture on the final version on her leggings and midriff and it would go hard. Maybe cover up the arms too with the same texture? Like she has a full bodysuit on. Just give it a shot if you can.

"wow it's been so long since I've spent a Christmas on earth" Carol said cheerfully.

"Well you're in luck because Christmas in New York City is the best!" You hopped up and down excitedly next to her, causing her to giggle.

"you're so cute" Carol said a you calmed down and continued walking next to her with a smile on your face.

Despite the bitter coldness, your cheeks felt warm at her compliment and you hid your smile in the scarf you had wrapped around your neck.

"awww look at you" Carol gushed, gently bumping her arm into yours.

You adjusted your winter hat and looked at Carol, who only had on a shield cap, the winter coat you bought her, and her combat boots with her skinny jeans tucked into them.

"You're insane, I can't believe you're not even cold right now. I'm getting cold just looking at you" You shuddered

"What do you mean?" Carol looked down at herself.

"I'm wearing a jacket"

"Yeah but no hat, no scarf, no gloves!?" you pointed out.

"I don't even need this jacket, I think you're forgetting I can generate heat through my powers" Carol chuckled.

"I'm just wearing it because you bought it for me" Carol looked at you and smiled.

You felt your chest swell at her revelation, causing you to grin.

Carol slipped her hands that were still holding yours into her pockets and you felt heat warm your fingers.

You gasped and watched as a bright light emanated from her pockets.

"Are they warm now?" Carol whispered causing you to meet her eyes.

"Yes, thank you" You giggled before pressing a sweet kiss to her lips.

When you pulled away you noticed a slight blush on her cheeks.

You both laughed before you pulled your hands out of her pockets.

When you arrived at the winter village your eyes lit up.

"Wow this is amazing" Carol breathed out.

"I know right!?" Your eye caught sight of a booth that was selling Christmas ornaments.

"Hey let's go check that out" you raced over to the booth.

"Alright lieutenant" Carol chuckled, following your lead.

You greeted the woman running the booth as you perused the bright and glittery ornaments.

Your eyes settled on one in the shape that Carol dawned on every mission.

"Ah we just made a couple of those captain marve-" the woman's mouth jaw dropped as Carol walked into the booth and wrapped her arm around your waist.

"We need to get this one." You showed Carol.

"No way! That's so embarrassing" Carol groaned.

"Come onnnnn"

"Do you personalize these?" You turned to the woman behind the register.

She closed her mouth and looked away from Carol, meeting your eyes.

"Uh yes ma'am, there's actually a hatch in the back, you can put a picture in it. You can also write on it with a sharpie. " she explained.

You turned the ornament around In your hand and noticed the hatch.

"Wow, these are great, I didn't even notice the hatch !" You marveled.

The woman smiled.

"Thank you, they're all handmade by my daughter and I"

"Wow" Carol said taking the ornament in her hand as you handed it to her.

"We'll take that one" you smiled.

"Of course!"

The woman wrapped the ornament up as you slid some cash on the counter.

"Thank you for your purchase, Merry Christmas!" The woman said gleefully waving to you, as you and Carol waved back and left the booth, wishing her the same.

"I can't wait to put this on our tree" you hopped.

Carol smiled fondly at your excitement.

Her eyes wondered until she caught sight of a booth selling hot chocolate.

"Now there's something you can warm your hands up with, without powers." Carol pointed.

Your eyes followed her finger before lighting up at the sight of the booth.

You grabbed her hand and quickly made your way to the booth.

You shook with excitement while waiting on the line, making Carol laugh.

"Two hot chocolates please!" You asked the man behind the register excitedly.

He smiled and took your card, swiping it before handing it back to you.

"I could have paid those" Carol frowned.

"Well hot chocolate is my superpower" you booped her nose, causing the smile to return to her face.

"Okay fineeee" Carol rolled her eyes playfully.

The man handed you two cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream on top, wishing you both a merry Christmas.

"Thank you! merry Christmas!" You called out, Carol doing the same.

You stood on the side of the busy walkway with Carol and slowly sipped the warm liquid, feeling it warm up your insides as it went down.

You closed your eyes and smiled before opening them.

You saw Carol looking down at her cup before taking a Sip.

Her eyes brightened as she pulled her head up, meeting your eyes.

"Wow this is good!"

You covered your mouth, stifling your laughs, causing Carol to look at you with a confused look on her face.

"What?"

"Hold on, you got something..." You giggled before reaching out your finger, swiping the whipped cream from Carol's nose and sticking your finger in your mouth.

Carol's cheeks turned dark red.

"Oh..." She muttered.

You laughed, kissing her cheek once more before continuing your walk around the winter village.

You eventually caught sight of the Ice rink.

You chugged the rest of your now, cold, chocolate, and threw the cup out before taking Carol's hand in yours.

"Come on captain, you can fly, but can you ice skate?"

"Oh you're on baby" Carol smirked, throwing her empty cup out as well.

ID CHAPTER IS SO PAINFUL BECAUSE JUST LIKE THE BEGINNING DANTES WAS STILL PREPARING THE AVENGER ORDEAL CALL STAGE!! for guda!!! but something unexpected happens!!! and his hand is forced to have guda go through with it on the spot instead of having them 'fall' to Pseudo-Tokyo in their sleep when chaldea is at its most peaceful... certainly hes been preparing for years...but when it comes to losing the one you love the most, the actual event itself would be enough to crush your soul. so like about 40-55% of id chapter is actually dantes fumbling and even though its funny it hurts so much because??? he loves??? guda way too much??? that even his iron determination EX and flame of determination EX is just thwarted and all throughout the chapter he keeps reassuring HIMSELF guda would be okay despite his determination and resolve to be the villain in this story but even when acting like villain he cant!!!! fully commit to it given the NUMBER ONE PURPOSE of why he created pseudo-tokyo and the millions of inhabitants in the mindscape and this isnt even mentioning the sheer amount of effort he had to do to the point where he is utterly burnt and burning up in a way that you can see the VOID on one side of his face, one of his arms are utterly charred and the other is complete prosthetic and this spirit origin is both a mix and a separate entity entirely of the monte cristos that protected guda this man has zero self modification but his ass went through absolute hell just for one person alone and even with the help asked from angra, abby, avengers, and others he asked from but the story hasnt told, he alone carried the burdens all by himself istfg man. that determination. that affection. that weakness is literally the strongest and weakest trait he has in his existence as Avenger. ever since i started testosterone and my hunger and appetite went UPPPP i've gotten way more into cooking and baking and food science and it is all so interesting to me! and it's not even from a health/diet pov at all it's just thinking about how food works and how i respond to it and as someone with stomach problems and also autism food sensitivities who basically ate Nothing for the first 20 years of my life it is all very healing!

and bc this is a writeblr a writing thing i'm learning and thinking about a lot is taking inspo form other writers and what that actually means. i've talked about it before but i used to read prose i love and not know what to do with that. i'd get frustrated because i did not understand how the writer was just able to conjure a line like that. and then i was so focused on wanting to reflect that writer that i did not consider where in the reflection my writing would go. i've noticed as i grow more confident in my style i've also grown more confident in how to emulate. sometimes i like to do exercises where i intentionally try to write a Passage That Sounds Like This Writer but it's more of a learning process as to the how of that style, which i then mix with my own writing. now whenever i take inspo from other styles it feels more like a love letter to those writers rather than a sensed need that to be Good at writing i need to Write Like This Person, when not only could i not truly write like that person but that person also could not write like me! that's the beauty of it! i actually reread a short story i loved last year recently and found some of the prose, not bad but i was like hmm not for me anymore! overall i still loved the prose but it showed me how i was able to love a style but still pick out what elements of it i liked and would want to incorporate it on my own vs what i wouldn't do myself (which again, does not make that particular element bad), rather than trying to make a perfect replication

ohhh my god okay sorry i have to be that guy who just says All of them. my brain simply refuses to see one type of art as more touching than the other!! it is just not true they all serve different purposes and the same purposes in different ways!! even the ones that are most touching to me personally is so dependent on the time and era. lately i find something that touches me in everything. like fiction will always have a special space in my heart because my creativity is driven by the fact that i can create fully fleshed people in my head where for me everything about them feels real - their emotions, their fears, their joy - and that is something that never fails to amaze me. on the other hand, poetry was the only medium after my mom died where i felt i could process my emotions about that at a time when they didn't make sense yet, because of poetry's space for abstractness. it became like a necessity. and then on another hand i'm amazed by painting and how brushstrokes and style can convey so much it's magic to me. recently when i listen to music i notice different instruments and sounds and how they work together at once and i'm obsessed with it, the ecosystem of it all. every day i become more and more of a cinephile because i'm just obsessed with all the elements of creation in movies - from performance to writing to visuals to soundtracking to sfx to editing - especially in all the 60s-80s films i've been watching for lover boy and how the effects don't always look "realistic" but they are earnest. and statues and embroidery and crotchet and pottery and makeup and nail art and gender expression and graphic design and cooking and i can go on every art medium is storytelling to me. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT CAVE PAINTINGS??? ROCK PAINTINGS?? EVEN AT OUR MOST PRIMAL WE WERE CREATING! all of it is touching to me!!

Overview

hart 2 hart (abbreviated to h2h) is the debut extended play by pop singer-songwriter Maya Hart. It was distributed worldwide on September 9, 2022. The project features five tracks, including two of her previously released popular singles, “On My Grind (O.M.G.)" and "bygone." It was produced by J.G. Matthew.

Background & Development

Work on the EP began in the spring of 2022, after Maya signed a five-album deal with Jupiter Records. This offer was purportedly negotiated following the massive, viral success of her song “bygone,” which she dropped as a solo artist after leaving her management at Global Beat. It is unclear when the artist parted ways with her former producers, the duo Justin Miller and Melissa Suzuki, and neither party had commented publicly on the split.

It is strongly suspected that due to this schism, Maya’s former songs created at Global Beat — the playful “LolliPop” and flirty “Haute Stuff” — do not appear on the EP. They do, however, remain available under her name on streaming platforms.

Using her prior successful singles as bookends, the project instead pivots into a fresh, energetic space that Maya stated “feels more authentic to who I am as an artist.” Although the general public had already been introduced to her (thanks to her ability to spin a track into the zeitgeist on social media), the young pop artist saw this debut as an opportunity to step onto the world stage on her own terms. Upon release, she said on social media, “this has a little bit of everything — confidence, bite, a hint of something softer — but it’s all one-hundred percent genuine Maya Hart.”

Opening the EP is the track that started it all, Maya’s bombastic solo-produced track. A moderate viral hit in 2021, the song felt appropriate to begin the project, as it does act as a true introduction to the pop songstress. “Unlike some of the other songs I dropped in this early period, this one still feels distinctly like me because it is. This was the song I pumped out in a fit of pique, when I felt like no one was listening to what I had to offer. I was being labeled this, that, and the other without my consent. Like you think I’m a diva? You think I’m a brat? Fine, let me show you diva. Let me show you brat. I think, more than anything, I was tired of busting my ass constantly just to get nowhere in this hell industry. How many more meetings could I take before someone actually looked at me and saw me?”

If the industry wasn’t going to open their elusive gates for her, she was going to smash them down — and the track reflects that mission. It is loud, unapologetic, and a bit abrasive in its composition. The production is admittedly amateur, given that Maya produced it on her own, but the dedication and commitment to the performance more than makes up for it.

“I think, more than anything I just wanted people to pay attention. I wanted them to listen. And wouldn’t you know it? It worked.”

For its reappearance on the EP, the track was given a polish up in the mixing studio, but the bare bones of the song remain untouched.

☕️ Insider Insight: While putting together the EP as a team, Josh made a point of freshening up the production on the track despite its already noted popularity -- and its diss nature towards him. “Now it's going to have my name attached to it," he snarked to Maya in the studio, “and I don't want to be associated with what sounds like it came straight off a GarageBand export." Wisely, she didn't fight him on it; wisely, it paid off, as several users on social media pointed out the improved mixing upon the EP's release. 2. “Trash Day!” ✩ Written by Maya Hart ✩ 02:47

The brash, overconfident pop of the opening smooths into something sleeker on the second track. Maya’s bold delivery becomes cool nonchalance, taking on a casual tone while she confides in the listener some tough love — their boyfriend sucks, and they could do so much better. Pulling a bit from silky R&B influences like Cassie and Ciara, the track offers a sonic reprieve with a groovy, laid back sound, but sits comfortably in the same register as “O.M.G.” to allow for a seamless transition.

Where the production is more relaxed, the song doesn’t pull any punches on the lyricism. Maya’s tongue and pen are sharp as ever here, spitting facts as the petty, protective friend with plenty of zingers about the flop men making her besties cry locked and loaded on her lips.

☕️ Insider Insight: Even though it's the second track on the EP, "Trash Day!” was actually the last one to be created. Another song was originally going to fill the slot—one called "Isabella”—that was a softer, more reflective piano ballad. But Josh and Maya agreed that it didn't fit the aura of the EP, and they shelved the demo (it would later appear on her debut album). For a moment, Maya was worried she wouldn't be able to come up with a good final addition... until being reminded of Farkle's heartache and his unwarranted bad luck with lovers ignited the overprotective instincts that would become the thesis of the song.

3. “Viral” ✩ Written by Maya Hart & J.G. Matthew ✩ 03:09

Producer: J.G. Matthew Sounds Like: "How To Be A Woman” by Greta Isaac

At the midpoint of the project, we switch it up, stepping away from the breezy synth production and wading into something grittier. Maya kicks up her vocals again for this track, dropping the cool bravado from the first songs and instead working herself up into a snarling, biting delivery—which pairs well with the tighter, guitar-infused production. The lyrics revolve around a perceived betrayal, fuming over someone who let you down and likening their presence to a sickness (a viral disease, you could say) that poisons everything it touches… including her. But Maya aspires to be better than that, to not become the thing she despises, even if the field they play in seems to encourage destruction and desecration. Additionally, the track is also a tongue-in-cheek reference to Maya’s own career and her meteoric rise to fame, often being seen (and written off for, at times) as a viral sensation that won’t last long.

Although the song is vague enough to be broadly applicable—a goal of any popular project—it leans more towards a platonic fissure than a romantic one; in this case, the disappointment feels more mentor-driven.

☕️ Insider Insight: And that's because it is; "Viral" represents Josh and Maya's first attempts to process and put into therapeutic expression what they went through with Justin and Melissa. The theme of the track, "Viral," stemmed from Maya's disgust and frustration in hindsight at how everything they made her do before their split was just to capitalize on her viral success, even at the expense of her individuality and artistry—like nothing was more important than getting numbers off her capability (and from Justin’s perspective, her looks). Josh, having literally been denied credits on one of the tracks that gave them said viral streak, felt similarly. But there was a hesitation that being too open or blatant about the inspiration could provoke retaliation from Global Beat (or Justin and Melissa themselves), so they toned down the lyricism of the final version into what appears on the record. Spiritually, though, the message is loud and clear from them both: they will not follow in the tainted, soulless footsteps of Justin Miller.

4. “Enjoy the Show” ✩ Written by Maya Hart ✩ 02:52

Okay, but that’s enough reflecting and processing and being serious—we’re here to make pop music! We’re here to have fun! So Maya pivots again and sashays her way back to start, crafting a groovy, infectious dance track to cap things off. Josh also utilizes this opportunity to get a bass line into this record, and he sure provides a catchy one. If we explored confident with “O.M.G.,” effortlessly cool with “Trash Day!” and a touch of female rage on “Viral,” then this track acts as a good metronome to center and remind us what Maya is truly all about beneath those emotional contours—making banging, badass pop for the banging, badass bitches of the world.

The song also makes a bold promise—she isn't a one-hit wonder. Everyone better keep their eyes on her, because she's here to stay… so sit back and enjoy the show!

Arguably a bit of a filler entry, but nonetheless a good time, the song acts as the last new addition to the project, and a denouement of sorts, before the grand finale.

5. “Bygone” ✩ Written by Maya Hart ✩ 04:04

Closing out the EP is the song heard around the world—a nostalgic, aching breakup synth-pop track of whirlwind proportions. Essentially Maya’s “drivers license”—a song that hits at just the right moment and contains enough universal relatability to break barriers—this vulnerable, wistful ode to a love lost certainly reigns as Maya’s most popular track to date (and will be an undeniable part of her legacy for years to come). Thus, it’s no surprise that she—and Jupiter Records—wanted to ensure it was included on the project.

It received a pretty luxurious music video treatment due to its immense success, which Maya didn’t squander in the slightest. She took the opportunity to show her label (and the world) just how much vision she has, sketching out the concept for the video almost entirely on her own. Upon its release in July when announcing the upcoming EP, the visuals racked up tens of thousands of views in minutes; the video went on to be included in several best of 2022 write-ups, even if reception to the EP as a whole was more of a measured, mixed bag.

Say what you will about Maya Hart, but one thing you cannot deny—the girl has Vision.
