i dont understand skrim leveled lists can someone please explain to me like... 1) if i want to install two mods that both add stuff to leveled lists like this and this will whichever loads last overwrite the additions of the one that loads first? and 2) if two mods edit leveled lists but they edit different lists such as... spell merchant lists and inn merchant list they will not interfere with each other??

I've been pretty good! Work at a Vet Clinic rn as a kennel tech, which is fun. So many pets to get to know, it's hard not getting attached to them all. Spring Break was pretty hectic, there were two mornings I worked alone and had 16 dogs and one cat to care for without help. That SUCKED, but I survived 💪

Fallout London is an impressive project but I watched some gameplay and the exterior worldspace design in areas which aren't like, dense urban areas looked really sloppy.... like, misalignments of 'hard' mesh assets with the ground mesh type stuff.

Obviously its a mod project and I related entirely to your brain turning into cheese after placing 1000 similar looking terrain assets for 0 pay but its this kind of little detail which is sooo important to making an environment look believable :[

Plus like, overall worldspace design like sight lines and the way locations relate to each other within the world looked really off. Like a high point in one point of interest shouldn't look directly on to the out of bounds blobby looking bit of another poi... which I ALSO totally get because the publically available version of the bethesda mod tools have a very low draw distance so with that alone you get a really poor sense of a given cell's placement in the worldspace, visible distant terrain etc... and a lot of the locations were probably worked on by different people and then placed side by side later... I think they were just missing the kind of overall world design coordination of the games themselves or projects like Tamriel Rebuilt.

Fortunately she was much more amenable to playing laser pointer. :p Alice got woken up early by Shock’s yowling – the cat ran off before she could be lectured for this behavior, so I had Alice (who was feeling most inspired) hop on the computer to start a new book (a Wonderland mystery called “Who Stole The Tarts?”). My playsession ended shortly after Sim midnight, with Alice writing, Victor sleeping, and Smiler having put the laundry in the dryer and headed back off to the barn to make a mechanism. *nods* Not a bad day at all for them! :) Next time, the gang will be heading to Brindleton Bay for their first food sale with the new snack stand – and to get Surprise and Shock spayed because we do NOT need any more surprise kitten events! Oh, and they'll be completing New Skill Day too. :) Should be fun! See you then!

why does the trade picker have to be buggy wuggy with the update. i just want to distribute 60/60 elemental status mods, covert lethality, and other spy stuff at a fair price.

anyway, uncheck 'hide equipped' in the bottom right if the trade picker can't find a mod you own. the extra duplicates will still be missing, but you should be able to see a singular copy.

this mod adds over 500 notifications and 30 buffs to phone calls based on sims' relationships and age.

you call your friend:

there's a small chance of having an unpleasant conversation. this chance increases if you're talking to someone with traits like mean, hotheaded, or bully.

notifications are also distributed by age. children will receive unique notifications, and other sims will get specific notifications when calling children. there are also specific teenage notifications about admissions.

unique flirt notifications are also available if you own the "cupid's heart" expansion pack. through the "flirt" action on the phone, you can flirt with people outside of a relationship and receive new notifications and buffs.

there's a chance the person will tell you they don't want anything serious. this chance increases if the character has the noncommittal trait.

at night, long calls are possible only with partners. from 00:00 to 06:00, specific late-night notifications apply, with unique ones for parents and grandparents.

changed phone interactions include: "chat with...", "video call...", "chatty a family call with...", "flirt with..."

changes to the relationship panel interactions are: "chat", "chatty a family call", "flirt".

notifications and buffs are also added to incoming calls.

the mod will conflict with other mods that change calls in the game. for example, such as scumbumbo's call anytime. it is compatible with mods that add custom incoming calls or texts, such as 'connected sims' by adeepindigo, 'randomtexts' by kuttoe, and 'more send text variety' by tyjokr.

Description

Larger Patterns Panel increases the size of pattern thumbnails and the height of the patterns panel in Create a Style, Create a Sim, and Create a Bot. By default, the UI displays sixteen patterns at a time (four thumbnails x four rows). The mods enables the display of twenty-seven patterns at once (three thumbnails x nine rows).

Installation

Place mod into Mods/Packages folder.

To uninstall, remove mod from the Mods/Packages folder.

Requirements

A minimum screen resolution of 1920x1080 is strongly recommended. The bottom of the panel UI element will be off-screen at screen heights lesser than 1080px.

This mod was built and tested on patch 1.67.

like the aftermath summary makes it sound like it’s a big tragedy? That the Sorrows sometimes have disagreements with neighboring tribes? But that’s normal??? That’s normal human life???????

There was a time I thought I could re-write 90% of the Honest Hearts DLC and make it Less Racist (make Joshua Graham a Dead Horse! It’s not a white savior story if it’s a prodigal son story! And the taboo places in the valley make a lot more sense if you explain it as, like, these are the resting places of the Great War dead, to disturb them would be grave robbing, that’s why we haven’t done it in the last 200 years but desperate times call for desperate measures—also Daniel stfu about the ~innocent helplessness~ of the We Fistfight Yao Guai And We Win tribe, any one of them could oneshot you with a single swipe of their murder-mittens {and after what you hid from Waking Cloud you would DESERVE IT, DANIEL, don’t even lie} so when you describe the Sorrows as “defenseless” you don’t even sound racist you just sound stupid) but like, now that I have finished the DLC, I’m afraid there is no salvaging this. This is a dogshit premise that doesn’t make sense unless you lobotomize yourself into thinking the Sorrows and the Dead Horses are stupid, which: they’re clearly not?? They’re thriving as well as any society in this irradiated post-apocalyptic wasteland, I do not understand why this script treats it as a given that they’re just, like, babies. anyways Honest Hearts is a shit-tier DLC and I will just imagine the versions of Follows Chalk and Waking Cloud that live in my head, the ones that are cool and act like real people, instead of lazy copy-paste Tonto and Tigerlilly, because they saved me from a lot of geckos and they deserve better than the absolute fucking horrible dialogue that was written for them

Distribution of Paid Custom Content Is Harmful

Speaking about the eternal topic of paid access, I’d like to share my opinion (even though no one asked for it).

I want to note right away that I’m talking about permanently paid content — I have no complaints about early access.

I saw that a certain person wrote that hoping to get custom content from certain paid authors for free is impudence, because they put a lot of effort and time into creating it.

That sounds fair, but do free creators put in less effort? Let’s say this is a debatable issue. There can also be long discussions about what counts as high-quality content.

But I want to draw attention to something else: these creators do not exist in a vacuum. They didn’t gain their knowledge on their own. Everything we and they know about modding in The Sims 2 is the result of intellectual — and not only intellectual — work done by many people.

I also see that paid creators tend to form closed, elitist groups and do not share their experience with the rest of the community, even though they benefit from its collective knowledge.

For example, would these paid creators be able to make their content without SimPE? This software is distributed for free. Or didn’t they learn from tons of tutorials published absolutely for free?

Programs, plugins, resources — all of this helps our community thrive around an old game abandoned by its developers (don’t tell me about Legacy).

It’s the players who openly share knowledge about their favorite game who prevent it from being forgotten and keep reviving interest in it again and again.

Let’s imagine all custom content for The Sims 2 were distributed for a fee. This would cool interest in the game — not only because obviously not every player could afford to buy everything. It would also make content creation less sustainable: access to resources would be more difficult, and competition in the creator market would split the income so much that it would become negligible.

This is why I believe that custom content locked behind permanent paywalls is harmful to our community.

The Sims 4 Mod: The Custom Preferences Mod

To support the new Turn Ons and Turn Offs in Lovestruck, patch 1.108.289.1030 changed the code for how preferences work, so custom categories must be added to a list and no longer show up automatically in the Likes and Dislikes section. Furthermore, the list uses SimData, so it's not possible to simply inject it with a Python script.

Sadly, this means the only way for custom categories to work at all (at least without some really complex UI modding) is via a global mod that adds them all back.
