Yeah its been a while since I posted something Multi-Madness related, or even Half-Life related at all

Ever since I got into Still Wakes The Deep, then Mouthwashing and stayed in that community for only like- two days, then went revived my Star Wars (First Order) Phase, I've pushed Multi-Madness far down from the sunlight

-But don't worry, I've had Multi-Madness on my mind for a while, ever since the Still Wakes The Deep phase started! Trust me here.

I usually tend to do this and procrastinate THIS HARD with almost everything.

Multi-Madness has came a long way from now, revised it's story a ton, and we got a Hella lot more than just Half-Life other Valve title characters to put into this one now!

Suggestion: Fan Studies Book Club

Hello, guys!

So, I’ve been thinking in the last few weeks about my lack of contact with other people who are interested in Fan Studies in a serious way and I started trying to think ways to build a bridge between me and other acafans.

I came up with the idea of a Book Club twice a month where we could discuss a chapter of a book or an article we’d previously agree to read. The idea would be to meet new people and study a bit with people that share the love for all things fandom. I’m honestly tired to be the only fan studies crazy girl ahahah I mean, this idea might not work, but I want to give it a try.

My idea would be a Zoom meeting where we could actually talk to each other, so I’m not sure how many people would be up to it. We would only talk about day/time when we had actually a number of people willing to give it a try.

So, I’ll leave this form here and anyone who is interested can fill it and then we can see how we can make it happen!

Hey, i heard there’s alot of dumb bullshit going on in the fandom, i just hope you’re okay 😘

I'm good! Relieved tbh that the air is clear. My thots be under the cut, but forewarning it’s a bit of a lot to take in

p much a lot of good friends were very much hurt (some very seriously - such as sexual harassment, racism) by other fandom members and it's just been a lot of trying to get accountability and making sure it doesn't happen again

I wasn't affected that much other than being uncomfortable but many of my friends were so it's been rough. We’ve developed a good support system tho for  those affected so hopefully peeps can feel more safe in the community, especially poc and lgbtq+ pals who got the brunt of it

I learned today the person at the heart of this (nati / natimonia / whatever the fuck they’re going by) has some pretty shit opinions that irk me personally such as aphobia and belittling other fandom members for shipping prefs, fav characters, art/writing styles, etc. They made what should have been a fun and safe fandom space into something hostile to the point many abandoned that space - to note, nati was the mod of a decently sized rgg server

they are trying atm to play the victim card with newer fans in the judgement series so I would say be warned. Nati deactivated and ran instead of apologizing and taking accountability. They don’t believe what they did was wrong and they chalk up the harassment they caused to drama and canceling so fuck them

thank you tho for checking in on me! I’m very much ok just very pissed and uncomfortable. I hope the people hurt will be able to heal in some way and I know it’s gonna be hard given that their own fandom space was tainted and having something you love become a place of hurt is terrible

I personally have had trouble getting into the judgement games because nati fucked it up royally for me to where I can’t play it without thinking about them since that was their particular hyperfixation. I’m sure I’ll get over it but it’s gonna take some time. I didn’t even know nati that well but even my brief interaction with them really fucked some shit up for me

HOW VIOLETTA AND SL CHARACTERS PLAY THE SIMS (+ their favorite sims games)

This is a very important post. I am more than qualified for it.

Violetta, Francesca and Naty are in the same category because they'll play the sims in the same way: Big happy families. Barely any drama at all. Just sims getting married, having children, raising them, repeat. They all have epic family trees that they have spent time and effort on. They don't have a specific sims game, they love them all (well, except for Sims 1, as it's harder to really have babies there than it is in other sims games). They love how the sims 2 focuses so much on families and generations, they love the generations expansion pack in the sims 3, and all the family aspects in the sims 4 too.

Ludmila goes the opposite route: The more drama and angst, the better. Every time her sims are slightly happy, she'll ruin it for them. Everyone breaks up, people die easily, it's just always some sim crying. I think she likes the sims 3 the most due to the open world and how the sims can live their own lives while she goes and meddle with it. She also likes the pre-established dramas in the sims 2 with the premades, and the fact that Sims 2 has a "create own neighbourhood" option, so you can create an entire community with just your own sims. Supernovaville is an iconic place she has made.

Camila loves making stories. She doesn't particularly have a favorite sims game, but she does love being in control, so she does love how Sims 2 have the thing of "family is paused when you play another family". However, she does really like the sims 3, most of all due to the 70s-80s-90s-stuff pack. She also does like Sims 4. She has had many epic stories of her sims, and following her telling people about them is like following the most confusing telenovela. It's so the point where she has dedicated entire neighbourhoods after sims. Once she even liked a sim so much she made a cult that worshipped the sim after their death, having their urn in the middle of an attic as the worshippers gathered around.

Leon and Maxi love to play with mods and cheats. They know every cheat to man and thinks mods make the games much more interesting. Their favorite game is the sims 4, as they have the most recent mods there.

The other Violetta characters don't really play the sims. Andres tried once and got scared because his sim died, and he felt so bad about it he never touched the game again.

Luna loves the Sims 3 the most, and that is most of all because of the color wheel and create a style-option. She loves having sims with funny genes like purple hair, and picking any color or pattern she wants on anything in the game. She also, of course, loves the open world, and have multiple times forgotten to take care of her sims' needs because she's busy exploring the world they live in - zoom in on the smallest details, always go "ooh, what's that? Who's that?". Her sims are exhausted because she forces them to go to random places all the time to explore, forgetting to let them eat or sleep. She is however, kind of sad you can only roller skate at a rink and not out in the open.

Ámbar I think rarely creates her own sims, she just likes to be in charge of the ones already created, and guide them on their way. This is why she loves the Sims 2 the most - in there, she can be the most in control, as the premades already have pre-established backstories. For better or for worse, she is here to fix or mess up all the premades lives. She only creates her own family when she wants to test something out or wants to spice up the life of the already existing families.

Jazmin loves the Sims 4 the most and downloads too much CC to make her sims more beautiful. Her game is corrupted and her computer storage is full with all the CC she has.

Yam also likes the Sims 3 the most due to the create a style and the color wheel (designer gurl at heart). She also goes around making sims gay. You bet that, when the Into the Future expansion pack came, she immediately took all her gay sims to the future so they could have biological children at the hospital there. Oh, also she loves to make sure her sims reach level 10 of their careers and fulfill their lifetime wishes, because she's a perfectionist when it comes to the Sims.

Nina always plans ahead what she wants to do with her sims. She creates the perfect house for them, plan out their futures immediately... only problem is when the sims disobey her, or when she grows bored... but she genuinely feels bad about abandoning families or start new save files. She likes the Sims 3 and 4 the most, as there, households can take care of their own when you play with another household. So she has just neighbourhoods filled with created sims she has left for a new family, so she just lets them grow on their own, and then she can come back when she wants to fix them again.

Jim and Delfi both just spam motherlode and make their sims move into the biggest houses, play with them for a solid day and then grow bored, abandoning the household and start a new save file the next day. Only difference is that Jim feels sad about it and sometimes have tried to keep playing with a household to "not make her sims sad". Neither of them have a preference for a Sims game though.

Simón has no Sims preference, he just likes to make his sims do the weirdest shit possible just for giggles. A family full of people in hot dog suits? Typing testingcheatsneabled true and change random sims passing by in CAS, where he has changed their age, gender, or just their clothes? Purposely making people get abducted by aliens? Just trying to find every strange thing or npc there is? He seeks for the weirdness and the Sims games provide it.

Ramiro only plays the Sims 1, because, in his words, nothing can top it. So he has so fun adventures there. He does like that sims can randomly freestyle in the Sims 2, though.

Matteo and Gastón both love to build houses, but playing with households? Nah, not as much. So they just build and build, then they're done. They like the Sims 4 the most though, as they can release their creations in the gallery for others to have use of.

Emilia we don't even wanna talk about what she does when playing... just saying, when whatever Sims game she plays, she loves the woohoo option... yeah, all her sims are sl*ts

The other SL characters don't really play the Sims.

Storia Di Musica #224 - Blur, The Great Escape \ Oasis (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, 1995

Per la prima storia di musica doppia non potevo che scegliere la rivalità del brit pop. Come quasi sempre accade nelle rivalità musicali, sono costruite ad arte dai mass media, che amano moltissimo contrapporre, nel momento di massimo successo in questo caso, due visioni della musica, dello stile, persino l’aspetto personale dei musicisti. Blur e Oasis sono stati i gruppi più famosi inglesi degli anni ‘90, per vendite, successi, premi, rivalità musicale: su quest’ultima, si sommavano tutti gli ingredienti perfetti, tra distanza geografica, sostanziale uguaglianza di età, stili musicali, personalità. Quelli che iniziano prima sono i Blur: Damon Albarn e Graham Coxon sono amici sin dall’infanzia e vengono entrambi da Colchester, nell’Essex. Hanno venti anni quando innamorati dello ska e del suono di Paul Weller con i Jam, formano i Blur: iniziano con un suono baggy, un mix di indie-dance che in quel periodo portava al successo gli Happy Mondays o gli Stone Roses, uno dei gruppi nume tutelare di tutto il brit pop. She’s So High e soprattutto There’s No Other Way, con il gruppo allargato a  Alex James (basso) e Dave Rowntree (batteria), sono singoli che raggiungono la Top Ten dei singoli, e lanciano il primo disco, Leisure (1991). Nel 1992 pubblicano un singolo, Popscene, che sebbene sia un mezzo fallimento di vendita, viene considerato da molti la nascita del movimento brit pop, con l’intenzione della band di lasciare il baggy e avviare una sorta di revival del suono del mod sound degli anni ‘60, su ritmi punk e melodie che si rifanno a grandi gruppi come i Kinks o addirittura i The Who. Il balzo effettivo avviene prima con Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993) e poi con il successo di Park Life (1994), il loro primo grande disco, un disco che celebra l’inglesità con particolare affetto per quella cockney londinese. Inizia il momento magico, con vendite di milioni di copie e una popolarità in ascesa incredibile. Che era allo stesso livello, nel 1994 per gli Oasis: i fratelli Gallagher sono nati a Burnage, un sobborgo di Manchester,  da una famiglia cattolica irlandese. Noel riceve una chitarra a 11 anni e inizia a strimpellare, si appassiona al punk e a 18 anni lavora con gli Inspiral Carpets come tuttofare. In un concerto a Manchester, porta il fratello Liam a sentire gli Stone Roses (sempre loro), e Liam è come folgorato. La band che prima si chiamava Rain composta dagli amici di infanzia Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Tony McCarroll e Paul “Guigs” McGuigan, cambiano nome in Oasis. La loro ascesa è più tumultuosa, costellata da liti tra i fratelli (più volte si presero a maleparole e pugni sul palco), a comportamenti in pieno cliché rockstar (stanze sfasciate, comportamenti sopra le righe) e una musica che nei singoli Supersonic, Shakermaker e Live Forever è più classica e struggente, fino a quando nel 1994 Definitely Maybe, il loro primo album, li impone come quelli che riescono a trovare il compromesso più bello tra le melodie degli anni ‘60 e un fragoroso muro elettrico chitarristico. I fratelli Gallagher non eccellono per simpatia, e sparano dichiarazioni al vetriolo un po’ su chiunque, in una di questa Noel augura a Damon Albarn di prendere una malattia venerea. Fu la scintilla che scatenò la rivalità (mediatica). E il ring migliore fu l’uscita nel 1995 di due dischi, attesissimi: in ordine cronologico a settembre The Great Escape dei Blur e meno di un mese più tardi (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? degli Oasis. Dico subito che sebbene il primo round con i singoli, Country House dei primi vs. Roll With It dei secondi, vide il netto successo del primo, la sfida generale se l’aggiudicano gli Oasis, che con questo album venderanno decine di milioni di copie, anche negli Stati Uniti, dove i Blur non sfonderanno mai, battendo numerosi record. Musicalmente, i due dischi sono diversissimi: molto più classico Morning Glory, più vario e intrigante The Great Escape. Ma quello degli Oasis ha quasi tutte grandi canzoni, da Wonderwall a Cast No Shadow (dedicata ad un altro immenso personaggio di quel periodo, Richard Ashcroft), da Don’t Look Back In Anger a Champagne Supernova, canzoni che ancora oggi hanno un felice e diffuso airplay radiofonico: in loro si sublimano al meglio le influenze del passato (She’s Electric, l’intro di piano di Don’t Look Back In Anger, esempi paradigmatici) ad un linguaggio semplice e diretto, che piacque molto ai discografici, come dimostra una singolare dichiarazione di Alan McGee, il proprietario della Creation, la loro etichetta discografica: ”Non puoi buttare questo album. Parlerà ai giovani della classe operaia in un modo che i Suede o i Radiohead si sognano”. Si impongono lo stile di Noel alla chitarra e persino il modo di cantare di Liam, che non è un cantante così espansivo, ma che segnerà un’epoca. Il disco è un capolavoro di energia e di grandissime canzoni, e lascia all’altro la sperimentazione. The Great Escape è molto diverso: è quasi un concept sui dissidi di un ragazzo di quel periodo, e ci sono indizi qua e là, uno davvero grande nel titolo di una canzone, Dan Abnormal, che sia proprio Albarn in questione (il titolo è un anagramma del suo nome e cognome). Il disco è musicalmente molto più vario, ed è venato di ironia e amaro sarcasmo; anche i Blur sanno scrivere grandi canzoni (The Universal, che ha archi alla Bacharach e il cui videoclip ispirato ad Arancia Meccanica vinse decine di premi nel mondo), Chairmless Man, Entertain Me, Country House sono le punte di un disco che spazia dal punk (Globe Alone), al pop (Stereotypes), all’indie rock (It Could Be You), la canzone crooner (Ernold Same), con Albarn che si dimostra cantante estremamente versatile e Coxon divertente creatore di melodie. In definitiva, anche a distanza di anni, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory (il cui titolo fu scelto da Noel quando la sua amica Melissa Lim gli rispose al telefono con tale frase, che a sua volta proviene dal musical Bye Bye Birdie) è molto più diretto e focalizzato, The Great Escape più sperimentale negli stili, nelle strutture musicali e probabilmente più “sofisticato” nell’ascolto. Curiosamente, due anni dopo, nel 1997, i Blur pubblicano Blur, gli Oasis Be Here Now. Il secondo, attesissimo, vende ancora milioni di copie, ma sebbene bello è una copia del precedente. Albarn e soci invece prendono l’ennesima nuova strada, registrando addirittura a Reykjavík, e basta la potenza di Song 2 per capire che razza di cambiamento è stato: un cambio di rotta che li discosta ormai dal britpop per un percorso sperimentale che Albarn continuerà per decenni fino ai giorni nostri.

So Feitan had recently came back from a week long mission, and you were both sitting on the couch watching some tv and drinking tea, still a bit sluggish since it was early morning.

But out of nowhere the tv and lights just shut off.

"What the hell? Fei did you do something to the tv? And what happened to the lights?"

"No. And, I don't know."

"Hmm. I'm gonna take a look at the tv see if something messed up or malfunctioned or some shit like that."

You checked the router, and realized the problem. It shut off! You tried rebooting it but nothing happened nor worked.

You went to see if this happened to anything else just to be curious, and you realized that the electricity went off.

"I'm gonna call the electrician, see if there was some reboot we didn't hear about."

"Hm?"

"Mhm."

On the call, you heard that some weird malfunctions and spontaneous electricity problems were popping up all around the city, and that the electricians wouldn't be able to check your house out until about 2 days.

"Man, this sucks."

"Y/N, come here."

You walked over towards your boyfriend and felt him pull you down towards the couch and onto his chest/lap. He held you close to him and you were flustered by the sudden burst of affection.

"We don't need, lousy electricity. We can just, steal food from, restaraunts, and entertain, each other. I did it, all time in, Meteor City."

You snuggled into the crook of his neck and hugged him back, enjoying this time with him as he usually isn't this affectionate for no reason whatsoever.

"Ha, I guess you're right. Wanna go steal some food from a stuck up high class restaraunt?"

"Fuck yeah."

Ok, to get your facts straight, this bitch is great with electronics, online shit, and anything that falls into that category, so with that being said you're not going to be without electricity for long.

You were working on some stuff for college while he was on his phone playing some new hit game, already deciding what kind of mod he was gonna make for it, when suddenly your guys' systems and every other electric thing in your house turned off.

"Hey Shal?-"

Don't worry Princess, Detective Shalnark is going to investigate!"

"Gosh, you can be so cheesy sometimes, but I love it."

Shalnark walked around the house, going through each room seeing if there was any sort of infohe could pick up that would lead to whatever happened to the electricity. Then you heard him on a phone call with what seemed to be some kind of business.

After a couple of minutes, you saw him walk back into the room you were in with his phone and pins in his hands.

"Hey baby, I'm gonna step out real quick, don't get into any trouble okay?"

"Oh god, why do you have those out?"

"No reason! I love youuu!!"

"I love you too Shal."

While he was out you decided to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, since none of the ingredients needed to be refrigerated. After you were done, you decided to draw for a bit, or to the best of your ability. Then you heard the door creak open.

"Hello, we are the city's main electricians here to check for any problems and repair your electricity."

On the nape of the workers' necks you could see Shalnark's pins stuck splat in the middle. You also saw Shal walk in right behind them, and flashed him a small smile.

"Shal you didn't have to do this, we could have waited a couple of days."

"Nooo, you need your assignments and I need my video games and hacking devices! These kind of things are important for troupe missions and also important for you to not get a bad grade in any of your classes!"

"You're acting like a mom Shal."

"If caring for my troupe and your college education is acting like a mom, then I will be more than happy to act like a mom! Plus, you need some smarts to pass the Hunter's Exam too."

"Whatever you big sack of silly smarts."

Shalnark planted a sweet kiss on your forehead, which you turned into an actual kiss by a simple tug on the collar of his shirt.

"I messed up that last thing I said, I meant MY sack of silly smarts."
